James rubbed his head "Well she may be nice and alll but she doesn't tell us the whole truth, do you know what is happening to your home town... no the whole country, Their is a war going on and kids like you or me are getting obliterated, so yeah I am mopey, but I have a reason. I shouldn't be here when hundreds of others should." he stared Yuki Down, and he stared good.

Nao smiled. "Well I'll be glad to help, uh whats you name?" She asked noticing a distant stare in his eyes, guessing he was blind. Nao put her hand lightly on his arm, helping him out the door so he didn't get hit it the face by the stone column.

You shouldn't wish such things on other people!" Yuki met his glare with one of her own. "Really, you're being selfish and acting like a little kid. Each person in this world is dealt a hand in life, and they have to make what they can out of it. Not everyone's hand is equal; some people get all the good cards, while some others are handed all the bad ones. It's just how it turns out. There is no divine hand or karma in it. The trick is what you make with that hand." Yuki's face gentled a bit. "So stop feeling sorry for yourself. All of us here are in the same boat. We're here for you, so please try to do some good with yourself? Who knows? Maybe it could stop the war altogether."

He looked her "Well maybe I will stop the war,before this war it wasn't any better, magic ruled with an Iron fist over us and The Reds came to fight back. Maybe other peoples hands are layed out good but then others come and take those cards away. You can go play with your little dolls just because you got lucky, when people get shot for no reson." he wanted to prove her wrong, that anybody and everybody should live.[/b]

((Sorry, there were some typos in my last post that might've confused you to what she was saying. They're fixed now.))
Yuki gave a small sigh. This kid..."I'm not saying that when people are dying, when should just turn away and say that was just their hand in life. What I'm trying to say is that you have to do the best with what you have instead of moping about what you do. People should help one another, but you also have to put forth an effort too." She knelt down, and got on his level. "I do consider myself lucky though. Even though I never got to meet my mom and dad, I still managed to find myself a home and family her at the orphanage. Now, I want to try and help others the way I was helped by those here at the orphanage. Are you willing to give me a hand with that, James?"

James looked out the window again "Maybe" he then noticed something outside, and pointed at it "Who is that, he is wearing a red coat uniform, but only carries a small gun. WHo do you think he is?" he wondered who this guy was, if he was going to hurt anyone than he was going down.

Yuki looked at the window at where James was pointing. "Well, if I had to venture a guess, I would say he was a Redcoat. You know they come here sometimes." she then smiled at James. "Maybe he only has a hand gun, because this is an anti-war zone, and he doesn't plan to make any trouble." she finished.

As soon as Yuki had finished the sentence, she heard the sirens go off. "A Redcoat attack!" the thought shot through her brain, bringing with it fear and dread. Nao had gone out not ten minutes ago. She was in danger. Yuki reacted quickly, grabbing James and pulling him away from the window. "James, I need you to go and get everyone into the basement and stay there with them. I'll be back as soon as I can." With that Yuki grabbed her coat and rushed outside.

Yuki opened the door to the orphanage with a tired sigh. The building was damaged, sure, but still standing. The orphans were huddled inside, looking about with frightened eyes. "Hi. We're back." Yuki greeted quietly.

Nao pushed past him. "I'm not weak." She mumbled. "I could have done it myself." She walked through the doors with eas, because she was a bit smaller than Greg. She smiled at the thought that he would have difficulty walking through the doors. "Anna? Nick? Harry? Adam? Anyone?" She asked louder and louder until she stumbled upon the kids huddled in a corner. "Oh..guys" She breathed ans ran up to meet them. The kids swarmed around her to hug her. Nao put her arms around as many of them as she could and pulled them close to her. "Is everyone okay?" She asked.

Greg stopped in the doorway and ducked slightly to fit in. He scanned the first room at all the orphans....there are this many?...he frowned and shook his head....this is where i would've ended up if i hadn't joined the army... a few of the children coward as he looked in their direction, hiding behind older kids, who would look him over before giving him an glare....they know i'm a soldier...they just don't know who i am. good.......He looked to Nao and took another look around. "do you see Yuki?" he asked softly

"What's going on here?!" Yuki demanded as she threw open the door of a connecting hallway. Her long blue hair flowed around her, and her stormy blue eyes, glared at what she supposed were looters of some sort and in her hand was a simple kitchen clever, stained with juice from the vegetables she had been using to make a meager dinner. However, these display of strength were offset by the raggedness of her own condition. The blue turtle neck and skirt she wore were worn and ripped in several places, and her long blue socks were nearly threadbare. Bandages were wrapped around wounds on her legs and right arm, and judging by the stiffness with which she moved, around her stomach as well. She was in an awful state, but not alone, since pretty much all the other orphans shared in her condition. However, as soon as Yuki spied Nao, her eyes glowed with happiness. "Nao...!" she cried, the knife slipping from her fingers as she ran to embrace the other girl. "Thank God, you're alright!"
