Hank followed Hayden's nod to glance at Deskri, then continued to watch Adeline. "I take it your brother and you don't get along so well, huh, chap? A regular burnt biscuit he seems like. But she doesn't look that old. Not an adult yet." He looked at Hayden again. "Don't you think she's lovely, old boy?"

Edmund watched as Aiden blushed at him. He found himself thinking it was really cute, but then he mentally smacked himself. Thinking that way about Mira's brother was just....well, it wasn't right. He liked Mira, even if she'd been missing for a while. Though, he probably only felt that way about Aiden right now since he was dressed like a girl, and that made him look a lot like Mira. It was sound reasoning in his mind.

"Thanks. It was between this and being a cowboy, but that might have been a little too ironic. My wings would have matched though." He fluttered his wings a little which had recently grown much larger then they were. "Your costume is..." He searched for the right word. "Well, it's kind of cool." And it was, it took guts to do that kind of thing, even if maybe Aiden wasn't expecting to see anyone he knew there.

Just as Gavin thought he was settled on who to ask first, this gorgeous girl dressed as a Victorian lady floated in. She was definitely a looker, and in Gavin's opinion the snakes looked hot rather then gross. He added her onto his list of who to dance with and then turned his attention back to his original target, The Swan Princess. Not only was she rather lovely, but she seemed to be friends with Kei, and he knew nothing would make Kei more upset then him sweeping in and whisking her off to the dance floor. It was excellent revenge, that gave him the benefit of dancing with her too. Perfect.

Isolde, River, and Ask all earned huge grin from Kei as they complemented his costume. Especially as Ask called him "your Majesty". He did take Rivers hand and shake it.

"Nice to meet you too. You make a good sheep, is that your real hair or a wig? It's perfect either way." He then turned to Isolde and gave her costume a good once over. It suited her, and was nicely elaborate like his.

"Your costume is very pretty Isolde, it suits you too. Guess you couldn't wait for the real thing in class?" He teased her lightly with a grin. "And yes, I'm a fairy, King Oberon to be specific. Mom and I read about him in this play." Lastly he turned to Ask and gave him a wide grin. Then he snapped back into character tossing his hair haughtily.

"Indeed, I should think I do look wonderful. You look to be in proper regulation Sir Jedi Knight. I agree that perhaps it would be best if you stood guard while we danced, but do remember it is good for even knights to dance and have fun as well." He followed Ask's gaze to the door. "Who is that? her costume is lovely, but you seem disgusted..."

By that point Gavin had made his way over to the little group Kei was in. He had been adjusting his costume while the strutted, making sure everything was in its place. He gave a small bow to Ask.

"A pleasure to see you tonight Master Jedi. Perhaps you'd be so kind as to introduce me to your companions?" He was clearly ignoring Kei, or at least it was probably clear Ask and Kei, but maybe not to the others. Kei looked rather annoyed that he'd come over, but Gavin didn't care, not by a mile.

Willow meanwhile was blissfully unaware of the drama going on with her brother at the moment and was enjoying filling her pirate loot bags with candy. To her delight she had even found some chocolate coins. True pirate treasure right there.

Willow did turn around and see the siblings enter the room. There was an older girl who looked about Edmund's age. She was beautiful, and her costume was equally so. Willow stared a little, she hoped she'd be that beautiful when she was Edmund's age, maybe she wouldn't mind wearing girly things so much then. She turned her attention to the boy who looked to be her age. He was dressed as a burglar and... it suited him, or she thought it did just from looking at him. He looked like he was up to no good. Her eyes fell on the pom poms and she tilted her head a bit in confusion. They couldn't be part of the costume, that would be silly, so that must mean....oh my god. They were attached to his head. They just looked so fluffy, she wanted to touch them.

Nadia gave a sigh as she poked some to the decorations floating in the corners of the gym. Sure it was kind of scary, but not enough to really scare her. This party seemed kind of boring. People were just standing around and talking or eating candy. She turned back to look at what everyone else was doing and gave a little frown as she felt a cobweb in her hair. After brushing it out angrily she turned back to the group and tried to decide who she should talk to.

"That's Adeline." He made a face, totally breaking character. He also pondered the idea of guarding this snack table from her slimy diseases. "She's a snake. I hate snakes. She's mean and gross." Ask wasn't going to forget his meeting with her at the zoo anytime soon. However, his thoughts of snakey, scaley, slithery nastiness were derailed when Gavin waltzed over like he owned the place. Ask may not have any siblings but he quickly caught on to Gavin's ignoring Kei, and Kei being irritated that Gavin came over. 'Gavin's always trouble', he thought with a bit of glee and a bit of worry.

"Hey Gavin." That was twice that his jedi rank had been wrong, oh well. It wasn't a big deal. "This is River and Isolde. We went on a boat together." He introduced them both with a wave of his hand. "And of course you know your brother, Kei."
PostPosted: Tue Oct 19, 2010 7:55 pm

Isolde, moving slightly to the club music that was playing, had been in the process of telling Kei how great he looked, turn to look at his brother. "Thank you for your introduction, Sir Jedi. Oh, Kei, is this your brother? He's such a cute widdle kitty cat!" Isolde laughed, not unkindly, but in delight - after all, Gavin did look just like a cute little kitty cat.

As she turned back to Kei - whom she knew to be an excellent dancer, she said, "It's so nice to meet you, Gavin. Kei, come on, if you go on the floor with me we can BOTH dance and I won't feel awkward. We don't need partners. River, guys, come on!"

She seized Kei and River by the hands (feeling Ask would fight her more then either of the boys she had) and led them to the dance floor.

"Thanks... I guess a cowboy would've been a little strange... unless you dressed up as an actual cow. And then it would be funny." Aiden momentarily gained a wide grin on his face. "O-oh, um. Edmund, this is Cedric, Cedric this is Edmund." He hastily introduced the two having just realized that he'd been carrying on a conversation with Edmund without so much as a word to Cedric. How rude.

"Yup, this is my real hair." River grinned widely. He'd become quite proud of his fluffy hair. "I-Isolde I don't know how to dance, you'll have to teach me...!" River reluctantly let himself be dragged into the dance area of the gymnasium. He immediately felt quite awkward out there, but since Isolde had dragged him out he would feel even more awkward fleeing to some place that didn't require dancing.

It didn't take long for Adeline to snap away from her reverie of thought, because although it was tempting to keep wondering about what people would think of her...the evidence of staring was a lot more distracting. She blinked glassy amber eyes once, then twice, and suddenly her cheeks flushed a shade of indigo and she moved quickly away from the doorway - or as fast as she could with the heavy skirt weighing her down. More than one person had glanced in her direction, and she figured getting out of the doorway would be the first step in making them stop. Hopefully. As of yet she hadn't concluded what kind of stares she was getting, but she was going to assume the worst until she found otherwise.

Although she felt rather disappointed in herself for doing it (where had that early confidence gone?), Adeline positioned herself awkwardly against a chair that was parked at an empty table some distance from the bulk of the other guests, leaning with one arm gripping the back since sitting with a bustle was a challenge she didn't want to take with people watching. She knew what she was doing was just trying to escape the attention instead of trying to make some positive impressions, but her resolve had wilted upon entering. She fidgeted with the handle of her parasol, lost in her thoughts again, before suddenly coming into a full-bodied bristle. Her eyes caught the look of disgust off of Ask, then snapped to stare at a wall instead. GREAT. That kid again. Why did she come here, anyway? He'd probably be saying bad things about her right now.

In contrast, it seemed that Theo was becoming far more positive since departing from his sister. His antennae had perked up again, having recovered from the indignance of being whacked by an umbrella in public, and he seemed to be regaining his smirk at a remarkable pace. He had noticed Ask shortly after Adeline had, and his immediate reaction was to run over to him and start discussing the details of why his snake of a sister was horrible; possibly even asking how he was doing, but the sibling complaints would come first. Oh yes, there would be few other things that could top this conversation in 'great ways to start out the night'. Thus accepting this plan of action, Theo was all but ready to set course to the other boy before realizing that, he too, was being watched. By a girl no less. Project: Conspire with Ask, was dropped in an instant with the new revelation. And without even considering why she was staring other than the fact that she was, he looked over at Willow and grinned ear-to-ear so that both rows of sharp teeth were present. It was probably way creepier than he intended it to be.

Cedric sighed a defeated sort of sigh. "I..it's not that persay. Well, it kind of is, kind of isn't. When something rather...bothersome happens I need to remember the breathing techniques my meditation teacher taught me as to not be caught off guard." That's all he was going to say unless Aiden asked...or his breathing wasn't helping keeping IT at bay.

Normalilty seemed to resume when Aiden found a friend of his. Edmund, or so he was introduced as. Cedric didn't mind that Aiden had started talking to the cow dressed teen, friends trump acquaintances, that was for sure.

"It's a pleasure Edmund," he said with a smile and a nod.

Zahur looked to Eno, and then to Silas again before nodding.

"Mmmhmm!" he said, grinning. "Is Zahur's daddy!" he said as he wiggled back out of the chair he was sitting in.

"What'bout Silas? Is parent heres? Or mebbe big sis, or biggun brover or sometin?" Zahur looked around. Was there anyone that looked like they could be any of these things about?

This was gonna be the first time Anastaija actually decided to take the first step to figuring out what the halibut was going on at the Academy. You know, scope it out, get the layout of the place, get the general feel of what she was putting her little niño into. And what a PERFECT opportunity to go there as herself! No more skin suits right now, so she wouldn’t freak out the masses, she could now waltz around as she does at home. She put her ebony hair in a loose, low ponytail so it wouldn’t get in her way while she let long bangs fall on the side of her head. On top of her head, large red fox ears turned this way and that, her hands and bare feet were completely black with matching claws while the underside of her feet and the palms of her hands were a sharp pink, soft padding contrast to the inky dark. Her dark caramel complexion, she decided to leave unmarked (because she’d either put on stripes or rose-shaped spots). The tail at the end of her spine was large and fluffy like that of a fox’s, but with the coloration and stripes of a coon with a white tip at the very end. She changed her normally blue eyes a light brown and her pupils were very much feline. She could’ve gone REALLY “furry” and waltzed in the school in her fur suit (naughty bits places very much covered with some slightly thicker fur) but she’d tone it down just this once… for the sake of the chil’ren. So, she’d just go in some cute black shorts that were loose at the cuffs but hugged her hips and a simple orange t-shirt.

Halloween colors!

It was Ialu that was the most fun to doll up, though. While Anastaija could change her appearance at will with a simple blink and flick of the tail, Ialu had to be dressed up. And she had an idea! Inspired from that wonderfully psychotic friend of hers, he showed her a photo album of how he used to look back in the day (pay no mind to the fact these pictures were taken by the nurses from his psyche ward) and she was inspired! “I made sure that wig of yours wasn’t itchy,” She said as she watched him moved it out of his eyes for the umpteenth time. She should know, it was made out of her own fur.

“Not et-che, just tickles.” It was his first Halloween so he had equal amounts of excitement that Anastaija had for the holiday. For days, they watched a whole slew of horror movies (he laughed through “Drag Me To Hell”, snickered through “Mirrors”, and got a bit disturbed by “Silence of the Lambs”) for Ialu wanted to know what “horror” was. Now the costume Anastaija was so proud of, well, he didn’t think he looked too scary. She had to emphasis that on children the costumes were meant to be “cute”. So, on his crown was a black, long haired wig that was purposefully made to look matted and tangled. His face and his bare hands were painted a very dark purple while black tiger stripes. On the left side of his face though, it was made to look like a fresh gaping wound that showed his jawbone (Mama had strangely accurate friends). And he had practiced his “psycho grin” which seemed to touch his ears (and it did, thank you demonic blood) and his creepy “I’mgonnagetcha!” giggle. His clothes was actually an overgrown straightjacket (with shorts underneath) with broken buckles and he had chain cuffs on his wrists and ankles. The Hollywood worthy blood smears and spatters all over his jacket, especially on the long sleeves, made it seem like he had just had to fight his way out of his confinement.

To say Ialu looked “cute” in his costume… Well… Mama had a perverted sense of “cute”.

Besides, after THIS party, Mama was taking him to another one~♥

They arrived Ialu’s favorite way of transportation, on his Mama’s back. When they entered the gymnasium, Ialu’s eyes were wide and curious, head looking this way and that at everyone. Ooo, he never knew there were so many like him! And so many like Ask… he had this uneasy feeling in his gut, but he chose to ignore it. He had a feeling this was gonna be fun, such fun, SUCH fun! But before he started his rapid fire questioning he was juuuust about to do, a particular scent hit his nose and he looked over Mama’s shoulder. Ooo, were they having everyone drink blood? Was that tasty? “Wat dat?” He asked as he slid off Anastaija’s back.

“Thiiis, my dear Lu,” She said as she waved the treat on a stick in front of his face, “Is called a caramel apple. You never had this before but it really is DE-LIOUS! Here, give it a try.”

Ialu’s little pointed teeth sunk into the treat and he hummed in delight.

“We’re gonna try to keep your sugar intake to a minimum.” Because she learned her lesson a long time ago. What’s worse than a curious and chatty Ialu was a SUGAR HYPED curious and chatty Ialu. As Ialu devoured the caramelized fruit on a stick, she took this time to look around. Good, there was some adults present, this meant the little ones weren’t left to run the place. She had already scented out and spotted Ask but he was busy being a kid with the socializing and being popular (she saw “sweet-tempered Jock” in his future). “Why don’t we ming—Not the stick! NOT THE STICK!”

“But you say fire-ber was made outta wood and es good for me.”

“SOME things made out of wood is good for you, not the wood itself!” Anastaija’s never ending adventure: What Will Ialu Mistake As Food Next?

A soft chuckle escaped Edmund lips as Aiden talked about him dressing up as a cow. He turned to peer at Cedric as he was introduced to him. He was younger, around Gavin, Kei, and Willow's age. Cedric seemed to be very well spoken for his age though.

"Yeah nice to meet you too." He gave him a soft warm smile. He'd have offered his hand to shake, but Cedric seemed content with doing the whole nodding thing. Edmund didn't want to push him out of his comfort bubble or anything. He turned and gave a quick glance to check on his siblings. He knew some of them were kind of in a tiff and they were all unpredictable at best. He gave a small sigh.

"Looks like Gavin is all riled up about something or other...." He shook his head and then turned his attention back to Aiden and Cedric. "But it's nice to see some of the kids started dancing." He couldn't help but think about the last dance he'd been too, the one where he got to dance with Mira...

This was just totally unbelievable. 'Cute widdle kitty cat' !!! He wasn't a kitty cat he was puss in boots! To add insult to injury, now she was out on the dance floor dancing with that River guy and Kei. Well if that's how she was going to be, he wouldn't grace her with the pleasure of dancing with him. He turned his back to the dancing group and turned his attention to Ask. He observed his costume more carefully and realized he'd gotten his rank wrong.

"Ah, I see the Padawan braid now. Tsk. Well my apologies for misaddressing you." He gave him a little apologetic bow. He wasn't furious, nope, not at all, and he was going to give Ask a wide grin to prove it.

Meanwhile Kei was having a hard time not laughing gleefully. Gavin thought he was so cool didn't he? Yet Gavin was the one standing over there with Ask, while Kei got to dance with the pretty girl. Not that Ask wasn't amazing, because he really was, but...he knew Gavin had wanted to dance with girls, so Kei could only guess that's why Gavin had come over. Though come to think of it, he wasn't feeling as gleeful about dancing with Isolde as maybe he thought he should feel. He didn't really see what was so special about dancing with a girl. Yes Isolde was a good dancer, and he liked talking with her, but... he felt like he was missing some piece of the puzzle that he knew Gavin had put together already.

Whatever, Kei thought to himself. He gave all his focus on the music and dancing to it. Giving a little peek at River, Kei did notice the boy seemed uncomfortable.

"It's easy River! Just listen to the music and move how you feel is right." He gave him an encouraging smile. Honestly, more boys needed to learn to dance. It's not like it was hard.

As her eyes dropped away from the burglar boy's pom poms to his face Willow saw that he was grinning at her, with big pointy teeth. Instead of finding his grin totally creepy like a normal child all she could think of is how it made him that much cooler. Willow did have a thing for creepy after all.

Willow realized rather quickly that if he was grinning at her he must have noticed her looking at him. Her eyes went a little wide and she dropped her gaze to the floor for a second. Being caught looking at someone who was obviously so cool was embarrassing. She hoped any blushing she might be doing was hidden by her skin tone because she could feel the blood rushing to her face. Once her courage came back she looked back up at him. She bit her lip and then gave him a large smile back.

It didn't escape Nadia's notice as she looked around the room that Gavin and Kei were still fighting and it gave her a strange sense of enjoyment, or as much as she felt about anything. She also noticed Willow grinning like and idiot at some other boy who was grinning like a lunatic back. Nadia made a face. Yes an idiot and a crazy scary looking boy, it was perfect. She did notice as well that Adeline was sitting all alone. Nadia found that puzzling. She was a very pretty lady. True she had snakes for hair, and that was kind of weird, but as Nadia looked longer she decided it made her look strong, and pretty. It made Nadia think about that one story that Mother had read to them about the lady with snakes in her hair who turned people to stone. That lady was cool, so this one must be too.

After noodling this all through in her little mind, Nadia made her way over to Adeline. She peered up at her. "Hello. You look pretty and cool like that lady Mother read a story to me about." the lady looked like she needed to hear something to cheer her up and Nadia for once was willing to oblige.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 21, 2010 2:50 pm

Ask grinned when Gavin mentioned that he'd gotten his rank wrong. He said, "It's ok Gavin, you're the first to notice the padawan braid." When Gavin gave him that grin he definitely knew something was up. He considered asking what was going on but then he figured Gavin would let him in on it when he wanted to and not before. "I don't see what the big deal with dancing is." he commented as he watched River, Kei and Isolde dancing.

As he was watching the dance floor he couldn't help but notice Nadia go over to that stupid SnakeWoman. Typical, leave it to Evil to recognize evil. Though Nadia was an alright kind of evil as far as he knew. She'd probably be able to fend of snake diseases.

[FFFF IT'S THE POST OF GREEEN~]

"Yeah. They did say it was a ball, I mean... you would expect better dancing music." Aiden glanced to one of the speakers on the wall as if staring at it would change the music to something dance worthy. "And they need a better play list. I have heard the Monster Mash more times than I care to count and it's getting on my nerves." He sighed, and rolled his eyes a little.

"Uh-huh, m'Nana's here." Silas moved to the side so he could point back at Syth. "An' uncle's boyfrien', but I not really talk to him much." He nodded almost solemnly. "An' Sissy." He looked around the room and then pointed at Yoko when he saw he. "She nawt very naiss tho, so dun talk to her." He nodded again with a frown on his face. For once in his life he seemed to be maintaining a grip on reality for more than a few minutes.

"Yeah she's pretty hot I guess." Hayden nodded with a shrug. "I mean, for someone older." He couldn't help but gain a smirk on his face. "Why not go talk to 'er? Surely the great Sherlock Holmes has the gall to talk to a pretty girl. I mean, look at 'er. She's all alone." A bit of a laugh came out, but it wasn't intended in any sort of negative way. "Bet'cha she'd like the company."

Well... Kei's explanation was easier said than done. He and Isolde seemed to have self confidence big enough to surround the planet, whereas River felt that he didn't. "That's..." He stared at his feet for a second, and then looked over at his father who was busy watching Zahur talk to some kid in a bunny suit.

River chewed his lip a bit, absentmindedly letting his foot tap the ground. Honestly that was about as far as he was going to go unless someone grabbed him and made him dance with them. He was fairly good with one on one interaction, but as soon as he felt as though he were on the spot he froze up.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 22, 2010 9:08 pm

Hank looked at Hayden. "I'm not going over there. See that little girl that's talking to her now? That's Nadia. She's my cousin. And she is evil."
Hank puffed the bubble pipe. "I should in good conscience save her, but my power is not enough to force that evil one away."

Isolde snatched River's hand and started to move back and forth. "It's really easy River. Just keep moving. Follow the beat. And you're brother looks really cute, Kei. Did you help him pick out his costume? You have such a great eye for this kind of stuff."
Isolde was pleased that River started dancing, but upset that no one else was dancing. She looked over to Gavin and Ask, the only other people she knew at the dance. "Come on you two! It's a dance, you need to dance!"

How could she put this..?

The songs were…

“I bored.”

“Nicely put, Lu.”

So she did the only thing she knew how, and that was spice things up a bit. So, having her little psycho on her hip, she went up to the DJ and requested a song. After the DJ promptly looked at her like she as nuts, after a cute little sway of her tail and a bit of chest tease (boobs save the day once again!) she had the DJ convinced. So after the current song was done playing, it was time for some real fun. Again, Ialu slid off her hip and she bent at her knees to look him in the eye. “All right! Remember the dance I taught you?”

“Yep!”

“Remember the steps uncle Chester and Markel showed you a month ago?”

“Hehe! The stompy-stomp step, yep!”

“We’re gonna do that on the dance floor! Let’s show these little ones to cut loose!” And some of the adults too, they were so stuffy.

Ialu’s excitement matched Mama’s, giving her a cute little salute and an eager nod. Some were dancing… but honestly, it wasn’t all that many. That was sort of boring… Ialu didn’t like being bored. However, as soon as the song was over… The beginning of his FAVORITE song started to play! YESSSS! FUNFUNFUNFUN!

He followed Mama right onto the dance floor, his shadow taking on a far more adult look than his own little body, but that was only visible to those who were observant enough to notice.

‘Do it now.’

Yessir!

At first, they were just wiggling to the beat all cutesy like and then the fun part came on in which in unison they started to do a slow version of the hand jive to match the beat with Kool-aid grins on their face. Then came the chorus, in which started to tap dance a little, Ialu with his hands behind his back. They transitioned into “the Monkey” totally not a Johnny Bravo reference smoothly, Anastaija whipping her around like a wild woman (what could she say? This was also her jam).

‘ You need a breakthrough
You need to make do
You need to come to
A brand new point of view’

Before the song made it to that first verse, Ialu’s shadow seemed to become solid and… standing! Anastaija saw Ialu and “Playmate’s” mirrored curtsey and then the trio began to tap dance serious to the beat (though they both were bare-footed). When the chorus came on again, Playmate and Anastaija came together to Quickstep to it, Ialu matching their brisk and smooth movements in sync though they moved and swayed across the dance floor without much casualty (it helped that it was mostly empty) while Ialu seemed to stay still on a darkened place on the floor. Quickly, they made it back to Ialu, and Playmate went back to being a normal “shadow” while together Anastaija and Ialu danced around goofily until the end of the song in which they sung the last verse loudly… a little off key. Though the song was now over… the energy definitely felt lifted.

Anastaija clapped to Ialu, Ialu mimicking her movement also. “You’re a wonderful dance partner, my little niño!”

“Mama make gweat dance-dance too, ya!”

Get some energy in your blood, young’uns! Or Anastaija was gonna suggest another song and take over as DJ!

SCORE!

Theo didn't even have to say what he was thinking, since it reflected down to his expression so completely it left nothing to guess. He was utterly thrilled at this girl so far, he hadn't had to seek her out and she was already staring - meaning that he was awesome. Nothing like an ego boost to start the night. Not to mention that she was totally cute, even if her pirate costume didn't seem to be intended for a girl.
And she was wearing an eyepatch.
And had a scar across her face. She was still good looking, he could tell.

With his money bag flipped over one shoulder again, Theo began walking toward the pirate chick with an obvious swagger to his step; although with that smile in place, and the way crept over, he looked more like a lion going in for the kill rather than to just introduce himself. Regardless, he covered the appropriate distance, and the first words from his mouth were, "So did you like what you saw?"
A charmer.

It probably shouldn't have startled her that Nadia came to talk, considering how much she stood out now that she was standing by herself, but it did. Adeline seemed to stand as still as a statue for the first few moments after realizing Nadia was coming toward her, and only loosened up afterward with conscious effort. Nadia was only a young kid, what was she getting so worked up about? She made more of an effort and offered a small smile that, even with her fangs, seemed infinitely more friendly than anything her brother could muster in his lifetime. It was then that the toddler actually got to saying what she had come to say, and Adeline's hand immediately fluttered to the side of her face when her cheeks turned indigo. The smile turned into something closer to a disbelieving gape.

"That...that's a very nice thing to say, thank you." were the only words she could manage immediately after, and the rest took a little more thought. "But you do too, you know. What's your name?" She had taken notice of how perfectly pale the little girl was, with a tattoo under one eye and what looked like...cracks? It stumped her. And apparently it stumped every single one of her snakes, as a nest of gold serpents had all taken to staring over each shoulder as well.

Moira hadn't intended to go to the Halloween ball, mainly because she was planning on running away that night while her parents were busy and Yoko and Silas were with their Momma at the ball. Sadly, she wasn't told where the ball would be so she ended up stumbling into the Gymnasium after a rather long walk from the Manor. Panting softly as she pushed open the door that lead out to the track area, she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw that she had indeed ended up right near the entrance to the ball. Sighing softly, the halfbreed gave up and slid to the floor, not wanting to find -another- hiding place. Pushing her bright pink hair out of her eyes, she looked around at the other people milling about the large room, her eyes soon finding her Momma. Frowning, she looked away, hoping she wouldn't be caught.
