Although, I must admit, I prefer playing fiddle, albeit the same instrument.
Generally when we're warming up, and everyone is playing something from one of our pieces, I just comfortably fall into one fiddle tune or another.

I stay in orchestra for 3 reasons: 1] Friends 2] The director 3] Playing on a regular basis.

I enjoy classical music, but it isn't exactly a passion. And a lot of the stuff we play bores me after a while. I'm really enjoying Capricio Espagnol, but Finlandia kind of puts me to sleep. How long can we sustain a note?! Let's find out! It's gorgeous but.. eh. Not much fun to play.

I rather post genres. Um. Goa, psychedelic-trance (THEY AREN'T THE SAME THING, DAMNIT!), avant garde metal, power metal, industrial (lots), nu-metal, a little heavy metal, indie-pop, very picky with rock, but like some... And that would be it.
