Isis frowned and dumped the contents onto the table. There were less rupees in this one but that wasn't the point. Sure she joked about the coin purse but it held her small knives, the ones she laced in poison and had to keep in special wraps. Having someone running around with those was bad. It was very bad especially if this thief was one to mug people. She bit her lip and sat back in her chair, leaving both the coin purse and the rupees on the table. "I'm sorry, I have to go find that guy. There is something very important to me in that wallet.." she said and turned to look in the direction the thief ran off in. She would feel horrible if someone was killed because of her carelessness.

There weren't a whole lot of rupees in the bag as far as he could tell. Though, what she said piqued his curiosity. Apparently her own wallet had something aside from money in it. He hadn't had a chance to peek so he had absolutely no clue what it could be. Perhaps some sort of lucky charm? It could be just about anything small enough to fit.

"That won't be necessary," he said calmly as he went ahead and took out the wallet he snatched and set it onto the table. If this one wasn't hers, well then it would mean this belonged to some random person the guy had snatched it from.

"Give it a check."

Now at this, Vol lifted his head to see what was going on above the table. There were a few rupees there, and two wallets with one being emptied out.

Isis looked at him for a moment, her eyes narrowing in suspicion as she reached across the table to take the wallet he had set down, turning the mouth of the bag towards her, because if this was indeed her wallet, flashing around it's contents wasn't the best idea, she opened it and looked. She sighed in relief and looked back up at Blade, then back down at the wallet. "How did you get this?" she asked quietly, curiously. There was no hint of anger in her voice and it wasn't the crazy killer tone either. She honestly wanted to know how this red eyed man had gotten a hold of her wallet.

This time she didn't just dump the contents, suggesting she wanted to keep whatever was inside somewhat a secret. Now he was really wondering what the heck was in that thing. But whatever it was, it seemed it was the right bag this time. Seeing how her tone was still fairly normal, it didn't seem like she was about to attack him for it too. That was always a good sign in Blade's book.

"I decided to relieve that guy of his wallet as he was trying to take yours. It seems I grabbed the wrong one though," he said nonchalantly with a slight wry grin, "But in the end I guess it worked out anyway."

Her own small smirk crept up onto her mouth and she looked at Blade with a raised eyebrow. She actually found it helluva amusing what he had just done. "You know, I can usually tell a thief when I see one but I didn't even notice you." she complimented him. That explained why she kept wanting to look at him, ever since the raid on her farm she made it a point to study the entire area pertaining to thieves, the way they carried themselves how they tried to act inconspicuous, everything. It would help her track down the people that had killed her parents.

She chuckled and looked him in the eye, the first time she had been able to do it since she met him. "I'm glad it didn't leave with the thief, however it decided to work itself out." she said seriously and contemplated showing him exactly what he had in his hands just a moment ago. She slid her hand carefully into her pouch and pulled the hilt of one of the wrapped weapons out. It was roughly 4 inches long maybe a little more, and the majority of it was wrapped in what looked like rough leather cloth.
Below her Bala's head shot up as she scented the poison of her blade and she looked around for the threat, finding none she glared at Isis for waking her up and settled back into her ball, wrapping her tail around the sleeping Onxon.

"Having someone running around with this is not safe, I keep it for protection reasons as I wander a lot." she said quietly, not expecting him to know a thing about mercenary poisons, or how the general public couldn't just buy a vial of this stuff.

Keeping the slight grin on his face, Blade shrugged lightly as she complimented him.

"I try," he said, though he had to wonder now if she was some sort of authoritative figure. Either that or possibly a merchant. The average hylian usually couldn't tell a thief until after something was stolen... or if the thief was being completely obvious about how they were. The former option seemed to be more plausible, considering that deadly tone she had taken. Then again, perhaps 'authoritative' figure wasn't the right term for what he was thinking of.

As she took out a small item, he leaned forth to get a better look at it. So it was a small knife she was keeping in there. Judging the size, it looked like it was one used more for throwing. It seemed that the presence of the weapon caught the attention of the Wolfos as well, who soon relaxed when nothing was around.

It was true that he didn't know much about poisons, but he couldn't tell they were coated with anything in the first place.

"Well, it's definitely good to be prepared I guess," he commented. That was half the reason why he carried around his sword and dagger all the time after all.

In his head though, something still didn't quite add up. She acted all nice and innocent now but the way she was when the thief was around just stuck out to him. He had his doubts that she was just a regular traveler who was simply cautious.

Isis nodded and slid the weapon back into her purse. Retying it to her waist and looking at the mess on the table. "You can have that if you want, since that's what you were originally after." she commented absently and picked up her sandwich to munch on once more, looking around the place, people watching again now that she knew what had been bothering her the whole time about Blade. "So, it was you that caused all the commotion earlier?" she asked, looking back at him and taking another bite of her sandwich. She wanted to make sure that, even though she had missed him, at least she was on the right track with her senses earlier.

Without much hesitation, though not eagerly either, Blade just calmly scooped up the rupees and put them back into the coin purse. Once they were all back to where they originally were, he pocketed it.

"It may have been..." he started while glancing in the general direction of where the commotion had happened, "I'll let you decide if it was me or not."

His vagueness was really more of a safeguard for himself. Sure she let him keep the fail-thief's wallet but that may have to do with the fact that the guy had tried to steal from her. There was no telling if she'd feel the same about some gentleman being the victim of the theft. While a good chase was nice now and then, he wasn't in much of a mood for dealing with guards right now.

She put both hands up and smirked, "Alright.' she was going to make the assumption that it was him, if only to alleviate her own sense of disgruntlement that she hadn't realized he was a thief right off the bat. She considered asking him if he knew any information about a large horse heist a few years back, but if he was that guarded about something like stealing a wallet, and those thieves from back then were his friends then... well she doubted he would give any information at all, and all it would do was potentially give away who she was. If people knew enough information to track her down and demand killing for information about that day so long ago, then obviously she had been too careless at some point. The smirk on her face had faded to a faint frown as she thought and looked down at her sandwich. She didn't want to remember right now, it got her depressed and anxious all at the same time.

Still mildly amused with the situation, Blade continued to have a slight grin on his face as he picked up his sandwich once more. He wasn't the only one too, as his esper found some interest in how things had played out here. Though, Vol didn't really show it and just lazing about on the ground just as he had been doing since they arrived at this table.

"You seem rather wary of thieves. I take it you've had a bad experience with them?" asked the man idly. He didn't think his question was loaded at all. In actuality he was trying to maybe find out another clue or two on who she might be. The uncertainty and suspicions were starting to be a bother to him here.

Isis looked up from her sandwich, the frown still on her face as she answered "A bad experience... You could call it that... and not all thieves. Just a particular set of them, I have nothing against the rest." she said distantly, staring at a point just over his shoulder in thought. Bad experience was the understatement of a lifetime. She looked at him, her blue eyes narrowing for a moment. "Why do you ask?" she asked cautiously, her hand moving to sit in her lap.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 5:59 pm

"A simple curiosity you could say. The average traveler usually doesn't try to pinpoint who is a thief and who isn't unless they've been a victim of sorts," he replied, not beating around the bush or anything like that this time around. Blade figured he may as well just answer fairly straightforward there. He had noticed that hint of caution in her words, so he could only assume that something about what he asked had raised some sort of alarm.

While he was a little curious as to what this 'bad experience' was, he wasn't going to pry. It really wasn't any of his business after all.

Isis looked at him, eyes still narrowed in suspicion for a moment before nodding. It was true, the average traveler didn't usually try to figure out who was a thief. Then again she wasn't the "average traveler" although she wasn't going to tell this guy that anyways. Thieves, they ruined her life, but at the same time they had shaped it. Isis probably never would have ventured out into the world if not for revenge, she would have stayed on her little farm and raised horses just like her parents. She would have stayed the same carefree blissfully ignorant girl she was as a child.
"How long have you been a thief?" she asked idly, trying to determine if this man may actually have information about those she was searching for.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 07, 2010 6:31 pm

Staring back, the thief was trying to gauge what that look she gave him meant exactly. He felt that he may be under some sort of scrutiny, or at least some suspicion. But that was something that came with his trade. When people found out what he was, they had a tendency to be a little more mindful of where their possessions were... even if he had little to no intention of stealing from them.

The question she threw out, however, threw him off. It wasn't really something he heard all too often. Most of the time people didn't really care about that.

"For a decent chunk of my life," he replied, not really bothering trying to figure out when he should draw the line. To some extent, he was a thief for all his life with his tendency to temporarily take things that didn't belong to him as a child. To him it didn't matter a whole lot either.

"Why do you ask?"

Isis looked him over again, studying him and trying to gauge is age. He couldn't be that much older than she was. But you never knew. So most of his life could have meant all of hers... and if the murders hadn't happened till she was 13 then he may just know of it.... She bit her lip, thinking for a moment. What were the chances that this guy knew who she was looking for, and what were the chances she would take by asking him... A precarious balancing game...

"I'm curious." she said in response to his question and countered with one of her own "Did you hear about a large horse heist. It would have been around 6 years ago, I think." she asked him quietly, the hand in her lap clenching into the fabric of her dress in anger, although her facial expression remained calm.
