Zeno Angha shrugged. "Hand-to-hand, practice wands, wooden swords, wooden staff, plastic bullets... anything is good. I believe, General, I have seen you dodge Redcoat bullets before. Is that correct?" He began loading his gun with plastic pellets. He didn't expect to win against the legendary Bluecoat warrior, General Phoenix, but he did need some practice.

((legendary?!? rofl since when did you determine she was legendary? biggrin ))
"When did you see me do that?" Phoenix asked as she chose the knife in her boot for her weapon, twirling it around in her hands. She saw he looked ready to start at any moment and watched his movements closely; if he tried to catch her off guard and attack without warning, Phoenix would be ready.

Rex looked over at Phoenix and shook his head, and soon caught sight of the left over shells from the two's guns. He walked slowly over to the shells and took a quick sniff before grabbing them in his jaws and began to chew them into small parts. "Eee." he squeaked happily unfolding his gauss cannon once again to drop the broken shells into a small box that instantly loaded his cannon.
((haha i dont think i mentioned it but a guass can use anything as ammo, as long as it fits into its barrel))

Zeno Angha broke into a grin. "Just about... now." Suddenly he spun around, as if about to give a reverse roundhouse kick, but he instead loaded the gun in the blink of an eye and fired a plastic bullet at Phoenix, aiming for her shoulder so that she could dodge easily. This was a test for the general, and if she passed it, Zeno would owe her his undying respect.

Phoenix moved with him, but as soon as she saw his real intentions, the girl stopped her defensive kick. She couldn't watch the bullet itself as it shot towards her, but she was able to feel and anticipate where it was. Using her reflexes, she spun sideways and flicked the knife holding it with both hands to absorb the impact and making the bullet rebound off the blade in another direction. It flew over and smashed into a window, shattering the glass.
"Oh really?" Phoenix asked, raising an eyebrow and facing Zeno. She placed the knife in one hand and lunged forward, but the knife was just a ruse. She lifted her free hand palm upwards and tried to break his jaw. Her right leg was out behind her, the sole anchored to the ground to give her more power.

Zeno Angha fell for the trap and focused on the knife, but had he not noticed the other hand coming upwards, it might have cost him a bone. Zeno backed up, barely dodging the blow at his jaw. In a split second, he somersaulted back to keep some distance from Phoenix's knife and arm, but then went to a lower stance and performed a sweeping kick, attempting to trip Phoenix.

She moved forward as Zeno moved back and both her legs were swept out from under her. Phoenix landed on her back, but quickly recovered and rolled away to get out of Zeno's reach before standing up. Her lip was bleeding and she wiped it away with her hand.
"Good move." She smiled, then ran at him and performed a scissor kick, trying to catch the captain off guard.

Zeno Angha seemed surprised he could do such damage, but soon recovered as Phoenix rushed forward, presumably to launch a kick. Zeno raised his arms to deflect the attack and was caught off guard when the scissor kick enveloped him. Luckily, he was quick enough to place his arms on either side of his head, blocking much of the attack. However, he found his ear damaged by Phoenix's attack and he collapsed to his knees. Zeno rolled away in an instant and stood up, getting in a defensive stance. A smile appeared on his face, despite the ear beginning to bleed slightly. "I won't be fooled again."

"Then I'll have to try something else." Phoenix grinned and attacked Zeno with her knife, changing the direction of her attacks constantly so he wouldn't have a chance to retaliate.

Zeno Angha began firing at Phoenix as she came, but soon fought it ineffective against such an opponent. Zeno dropped it and brandished his wand, shouting, "Skuld!" An opaque shield appeared, blocking much of the knife attacks. "Stossen!" A silver jet shot out at Phoenix.

Phoenix had been trained in using magic silently, thinking the words in her head so the opponent would have a less chance to anticipate her moves. She used that advantage, abandoning her knife and pulled out her own wand from the sheath buckled around her leg. She flicked the rod, causing a gold net to appear in front of her, rendering the attack useless.

Suddenly an alarm went off, making everyone jump. distant cries of "The Redcoats are attacking Snowtown from the air!" were heard and Phoenix lowered her wand, her face grave. She yelled, "Everybody to your stations, prepare to travel to Snowtown, this is not a drill!" She herself ran off, looking for her dragon. Vortex was staring up at the sky, her eyes narrowed to slits. She already had a riding harness fastened onto her back and Phoenix climbed on, firmly strapping herself into the saddle.
"Ready for more battle?" The General asked as she bent to take a bow and quiver of arrows from a waiting elf.
Vortex nodded and gave off a roar, unfurling her wings to their maximum and taking off. A squadron of other dragons took flight behind them, quickly forming into an arrowhead formation.
[Exit to Arial Battleground]
((I wasn't sure if the bluecoats knew they had attacked yet, so I just went with it))

((This is pretty unrealistic. Snowtown isn't part of our territory, so why bother defending it? Sure, there are many good reasons for the Bluecoats coming to the aid of Snowtown, but the Bluecoats wouldn't have come directly... they would have debated and argued about whether or not to go. The Bluecoats may be able to use this chance to recruit Snowtown onto their side, though. What's there to destroy in Snowtown? A couple of cabins? There's not even an arsenal there.))
"This is stupid," Zeno Angha sighed. He ran out, but for a different reason. It could possibly be a Redcoat diversion; the Redcoats could be planning to divide Bluecoat forces into two and eliminate them one-by-one. In this case, it was best if he stayed to direct base defenses. "I'm taking charge," he sighed with a dreadful realization.

((Ah, but anything the Reds do, the bluecoats will be there to foil their plans. From what I've seen, both of these armies are always at each other's throats and try to oppose them in whatever they do. So if the redcoats appear at snowtown, the blues will wonder why and go there to drive them off. You read the announcement right?))
