When Kasen shifted his hands and the dark claw dissipated the Shikai dagger shot down to the ground, it's trajectory changed by Kasen's movement, and buried itself several feet down, leaving a small crater and a large billowing cloud of dust from the explosion from the impact at such a speed and relative mass. Maikeru felt the crushing weight of the earth on both sides for a millisecond before he could cut off the Push he had forced on the blade. The pressure eased and he felt as if he could breath again.

He allowed that dagger to remain embedded in the ground for the moment as his arms were forced behind his back by Kasen's Kido. As his arms swung out to the sides before crossing behind his back he released the handful of sharp edged coins he held in each hand. Each had a thin blue line leading to it, Maikeru Pushed on them sending them all zipping through the air in a wide spray towards Kasen. "Kasen, I don't think I can beat you because of that, I think I can beat you because my blades are everywhere. Metal cannot be destroyed. It may be broken down into its smaller components but it cannot be destroyed. Metal is the essence of Preservation, nothing, can completely destroy metal." He Pulled and Pushed on the small metal droplets Kasen had forced back from his own explosion, causing them to simply rise upwards, moving towards neither of the combatants.

"I remember you telling me something once Kasen, during our last battle, when it was Reikai, Nexo, and me all against you. You informed us all that kept your arrows from exploding was a thin barrier of reiatsu, and that the same applied for your wolves. That was what beat us in the end." Maikeru looked on calmly, barely thinking about the fact that his arms were locked around his back.

As Kasen's spinning shield dissipated the spray of coins Maikeru followed up with continuing a slight Push on them, making them move farther behind Kasen and his wolf before settling to the earth where he let them be. As he commanded one of the wolves to charge him he Pulled again on the scattered coins bringing them zipping through the air to rip into both of the wolves and Kasen. To be sure of his success he adeptly kicked a small throwing knife up from the dirt at his feet and Pushed it into the face of the wolf charging him.

"Impressive, I'll admit. It was wrong of me to assume you had so little control over your own technique, my bad." His voice came down from over 40 feet above his previous position. He had Pushed on several of the blades and bits of metal embedded in the earth to support his weight and launch him into the sky.

" I have to say, I've been having quite a bit of fun with this." Maikeru tensed and sent a quick burst of reiatsu as he finally bothered to break the Bakudo restraining his arms. He Pulled all of his Shikai daggers back to himself. Within an instant he was fully armed, his short katana of a Shikai in his right hand and a Shikai dagger in his dominant left hand. The other five floated calmly around the hilt of the sword.

"Now, I havn't even thought of claiming the title of fastest shinigami. But I think it fair to say in a few years "Most agile and maneuverable Shinigami" could be mine. What do you think? Would you vote for me Simon? Errr Kasen, haha sorry, I watched a bit to much of American Idol when I was on Earth."

"Well anyways..." Maikeru Pulled on a multitude of metallic objects, fragments of coins, coins, daggers and knives. Bringing a veritable cloud of objects flinging themselves through the air towards him. He didn't influence all of the objects of course, just several dozen. As they came towards him he manipulated them carefully by shifting his weight and position slightly while destrously Pushing and Pulling to bring them into one large stream of sharp mettallic death. He smiled as the torrent whistled throught the air around and behind him before firing off towards Kasen and his wolves. The vast multitude of sharp objects would cut anything caught by them into shreds.

He looked down at his feet as the metal flew through the air. "Damn." Maikeru quickly ripped off the lower half of his pant legs and ripped off his light shoes. "You almost got me, you did ruin those though, and they were my good shoes too. Rubber soles and everything imported from the Realm of the Living you know."

((Just so you know you can't get metal poisoning from something like that.))

Maikeru laughed uproarously at the look on Kasen's face as he saw him high above the ground. "No, no, don't worry. I didn't somehow find a way to solidify the air. Just a nice benefit of my Shikai, I said most maneuverable didn't I?" He chuckled again, albeit with more restraint.

He nodded as if filled with sage advice, his position seemingly impossibly stable high above the ground, "Not many people have tried to cancel the force with their own attack. It's a good idea, but just to warn you, it won't always work." Maikeru slightly lessened his Push on the objects as the black wave of reiatsu struck them, slowing and stopping their progress through the air as they shredded it to pieces. As it cleared a beautiful shining scene of the majority of objects simply floating could be seen, several had dropped as Maikeru lost some of his focus. They slowly rotated and spun in the air on their respective axis'.

They all hung in the air not moving as Maikeru's arms were snared by both Kido behind his back without a fight from him in the slightest. He blinked in slight apprehension as the red light snapped into place freezing him, completely immobile. "Please Kasen, I didn't get up here by jumping really high." His voice came out slightly muffled by the red Bakudo. He watched calmly as the orange tendrils snaked their way towards him. Before they came to close he ceased his Push that kept him suspended and allowed gravity to retake control. Before he fell fifteen feet He Pushed again, keeping himself suspended while Pushing on a small droplet of metal Kasen had scattered to move himself to the side, strafing Kasen smoothly and swiftly all without raising a muscle.

His chest was aching slightly as was his head from all the constant focus and Pushing and Pulling. However his reiatsu didn't constantly blast outwards as many other Shikai's recquired so he could easily continue this fight. He smiled slightly, even still he kept the sheet of metal blades and odds and ends spinning and stationary in the air near Kasen, ready to spring into action or fall to the ground impotent at his merest whim. He began letting a few of the objects slowly droop and waver in the air, a few even clinking to the ground amid the others he had released. Giving the impression his control and stamina was weakening.

Maikeru chuckled joyously, this was fun! He watched the blue lines tracing the paths of the various pointy metallic friends he had made lately. The explosion sent them flying at high velocities off into the distance. Several of the smaller and weaker coins and bits of metal were vaporized, others were melted into slag and still others just flung far away. Maikeru Pulled on those he could slowing their progress away from the battle, eventually bringing it to a stop and then bringing them winging back through the air towards him.

Still bound in the various Kidos Maikeru began working on the bonds, he quickly broke through the red paralysis and began shifting his concentration to freeing the use of his arms. Meanwhile he Pulled all the metallic objects he could, even tugging lightly on Kasen's blade to remind him he still had power. Except for a few strategically placed coins and daggers throughout the area every thing from specks of dust to Maikeru's Shikai daggers and katana were revolving around him.

"You would be correct, I can't manipulate atoms and molecules...yet. Yet my friend, yet."

He lifted himself higher above the ground as the vast multitude of sharp daggers, coins, knives, small droplets, and even a katana revolved around him in an orb of sharp glistening death. Faster and faster they spun, propelled by quickly maniuplated Pushes and Pulls. They moved so fast he seemed to be enclosed in a translucent steel bubble. As it formed he broke through the second Bakudo. Now only the golden chain kept his arms bound.

His brow creased in concentration and his chest paining him one of his ultimate techniques surfaced, named simply: Cyclone. He couldn't keep it up for a great amount of time but it allowed a strong defense and offense simultaneously, not to mention approaching it too closely almost always caused death. He closed his eyes letting his sense of metal fully control his actions. He controlled each of the objects with an obscene amount of dexterity, knoledgeable of every nick, unbalance, and tumble of every metallic object in his range he would be able to redirect the maelstrom en masse or a single object at a time if he wished, all on whim, all in a single instant.

Maikeru laughed again, "No hard feelings, every time I have told Vin here to shut up I usually end up with a knife in between each of my ribs and between each disc on my spine," he winked, "I know what it's like." His grin lowered slightly in concern as his old mentor collapsed to the ground, "Here grab onto this, I'll have us at Squad for barely slower than Shunpo could carry you, and you don't look in any condition to Shunpo about." Maikeru carefully Pushed a couple of his Shikai daggers towards Kasen, hilt first. The rest of the items he quickly restored where they belonged, scattering the unsalvagable items to the four winds.

"But thanks man, this was fun. Now hurry up and grab on. I don't have all day...Okay, maybe I do, not the point."

"Hmm, well that is quite true." Maikeru pulled the blades back, soon they slowly revolved around his body in every changing orbits. He smiled, last time he had been utterly decimated by the wolfish veteran, all that work had payed off.

"Well, If you want to race I warn you, I can almost fly there, even with Shunpo you have to touch the ground...ready?"

He Pushed himself into the air a few feet and adopted a slightly crouched stance as if ready to sprint at a moments notice. "SET!"

He took a deep breath and readied in his mind the series of Pushes and Pulls that would carry him to Squad Four in relatively little time, as it was nearly on the other side of the Sereitei.
