Hey, I know I don't comment on games often, instead usually opting to enjoy them and just watch the fellow guildies grow. But this one interested me, so I'm gonna throw my two cents in.
First off, the biggest early game thing I noticed in your play, C4D, is the early disparity in the mineral/gas ratio. When you put down your first expo, you actually had an
extra 300 minerals, which means you could have even double expanded. Not that it would be worth the risk most of the time, but the stash of minerals is noteworthy.
The second gas came far too late for you, well after the lair was done. At that point you should have put down your spire and had drones in those extractors ready to pump some higher tier units.
Even after the bunker rush came, which was admittedly pretty late for a bunker rush, and poorly executed by the Terran (he moved his units forward and alerted you of its existence far before it was ready to be useful to that small MM force), he macroed up to a point where, in the next couple minutes, he could have hit you hard and done some damage. Those lings are versatile, but I just kept feeling that you needed some gas in that unit comp.
A big thing that you did eventually fix was the difference in drone count on each base. Your expo, for a long time, was running on around 6 drones, with the main going off of like 30. The build you used was great for early economy, but when you had 43 drones your income for minerals was around 1200, while Terran had 20 SCVs and his mineral income was around 900 or so. That sort of disparity in worker count should have lifted you far and above in economy. With proper dispersion and some in gas, you would have otherwise been punishing him dearly for his lack of aggression and low unit count. The lack of gas also hurt your third hatchery's production capabilities.
So gas was your main problem, but I think another mention is the creep spread. You did well on having those tumors out there and all over your main, but once the five got away from your ramp they all went to the Northeast while none went the up northwestern route. I didn't even mind that you forgot to spread them, I just wish two or three had broken off in the other direction.
And one last, minor thing. In a couple of your battles, and you'll see this if you look back at the fights in the upper right corner of the map, you missed a couple good opportunities to run in and surround/flank his army, instead waiting a few seconds and going at them head-on while the armies were in narrow positions. One thing I try to keep in mind is the phrase "always, always, always use the lings to surround." Keep chanting it like a mantra and it will become second nature. I've noticed you do it before, even a few times in this replay. But usually you're better at it in smaller numbers, while your large army control needed it as well.
