Somewhere beyond the sea Somewhere waiting for me
Melody jumped into the water to follow him but quickly caught up using her fin. Once out of the water she regained her legs and only her hair was wet since her human and siren form shared the hair. She reached her beach bag and got out a towel and her cell phone. She kept her phone on her bag while she dried her hair then picked it up when she was ready. Alright. Just put your number in, I'll call you, and you'll have my number. She extended the phone to him.

♫The Lion Sleeps Tonight...♫ Joshua picked up his board and stabbed it onto the ground, while he waited for Melody to catch up- oh wait, she's already there... the Hawaiian teen grabbed his towel and dried himself as he stood up and walked over towards the Siren, who handed him her cellphone. He immediately typed his number into the phone, and saved it into her contact. "There you go." He said with a smile as he handed Melody back her phone. "Um...See you soon, I hope?" He asked with a shy smile. (Hm...well I won't lie, it'll be somewhat fun to be a servant.)

Melody returned the smile. We'll definately meet again. She looked at her phone and saw the time. OH MY GOD! I'M GONNA BE LATE!! She grabbed her bag and waved good-bye before taking off. She tripped several times and each time would yell out. Stupid legs!

♫The Lion Sleeps Tonight...♫ Joshua smiled, but that smile soon vanished when she yelled out to the whole world that she was late...what was she late for? That remains as a mystery; he sweat-dropped as he watched her trip over several time, "Um...do you need any help?" he asks.

Um I'm fine. I just cant run on sand with human legs and I am really late for work. She picked up whatever she dropped and stood up. She considered invitng him to her work place for a bit but it was really embarassing to her.

♫The Lion Sleeps Tonight...♫ "Want me to at least carry you out of the beach?" he asked, completely worried about her not being able to get out of the sands... "If you want I could carry you to your job, I don't mind..."

Um no I'll be fine. But could you just walk with me there in case I trip again? She was extremely embarassed but he was her friend now so she thought it would be fine. And about her job she knew that he was bound to find out at some time.

♫The Lion Sleeps Tonight...♫ "Um, sure, I don't mind at all..." and with that the Hawaiian teen picked up his surfboard and stood next to the Siren, willing to help her along the way if she falls or not; either way, he's still very ignorant about the situation that alot of male would look at this. Damn Hormones...

Melody ran into the beach, while tripping a bit on the sand but she was able to make it without falling. She layed a towel down and placed her stuff on it before waiting for Micheal.

After a brief change, Michael had easily caught up with Melody, who seemed to be on the verge of tripping constantly, almost as if she wasn't used to running on two legs. He was about to offer to help, but the beach was already in sight, and Melody was already settling down in the sand. She was wearing a bright sunny looking swimsuit, which couldn't stop him from thinking that Melody might look good in almost anything. He himself was wearing deep blue swimming trunks with Hawaiin flower print and a simple t-shirt.
He could sense Melody's urgency to be in the water, so he didn't hesitate to say, "Common now, we didn't come to the beach to play around in the sand, let's get to the water!"

Melody smiled and ran for the water. since her legs weren't entirely in the water yet they were still "human" and she smiled. Come on in it feels great. She smiled as she splashed around.

Michael rushed after Melody, peeling the shirt from his body and dumping it in the sand along the way. The water kicked high into the air as his legs plunged into the sea. Thankfully the water wasn't too cold, in fact, it was actually quite warm for fall temperatures. Michael briefly remembered something about a warm current that flows around the island, but that was of little importance.
Michael had reached where Melody had been splashing around. He settled his body under the water, content with floating around in the shallows while Melody splashed around. He couldn't help but wonder what it must be like to be a siren, forced to live in a place where you don't feel comfortable. Looking at Melody now, Michael could tell she was happy, that she was much more comfortable in the ocean. Before he could stop himself, he asked, "What is it like for you when you're in the ocean? Do you feel somehow happier or something?"
