Bug watched as a perfectly good meal got buried under a small mound of dirt. She gave an inner sigh and regretted not eating it.
"That's just silly, I eat off the ground all the time. There's nothing wrong with it." She purse her lips. how could someone not allow another to eat off the ground the best food came from the ground!
At the wonderful announcement Bug shifted and looked around. There wasn't many around all this tall grass. The yellow girl stood up and held her hand out to Tarot.
"I guess we'll have to go searching where it's not so grassy." Finally something to do!

Tarot stared at Bug's hand for a moment before taking it. She didn't get why people always thought little kids had to hold hands with someone, but it saved time if she just went along without arguing.
"Where we goin' to look first?"

Bug let go of Tarot's hand after she was up, she'd only hold onto the girl's hand if she had to drag her. She fold her her arms in front of her and thought of the closest place that had an abundant of rocks.
" Oh, I know, there's some rocks where they were fixing the road just that way." she pointed up the hill, it was about two blocks away from where they were, that wasn't too far right?

Tarot shrugged. "Long as it ain't anywhere near the road. Sev'd me veeeeeery mad." Road rocks weren't always pretty either. To find good ones was rare, but you never knew.

"Oh..." She guess that wouldn't do. Bug brought her hand up to scratch her head while she thought of another place for rocks not near a road.
"Can you go near small creeks if you're with someone?" she thought it was better to ask this time before decided where they could go. Though she could grab a bunch and bring them to her for her to pick out, but that could take forever.

Tarot thought about it. "Long as I don' go near the edge of the water." Personally she thought as long as the water wasn't higher than her ankles she should be allowed by the edge of it. Sev wouldn't know as long as she didn't get wet, anyway.

Nodding she had a place in mind now. The stream was gonna take the girl a little farther but that should be fine, right?
"Okay, why don't you grab your basket and we'll use it to carry all the rocks back." Genius. Bug had no idea how many the girl wanted, so why not use the basket if it was there?
Once bug saw that Tarot was ready she started her way up the hill in the direction of the creek.

Tarot carefully pulled everything else out of her basket and set it in a neat pile, so that there would be more room for the rocks, and followed after Bug. The going was tougher for her since Bug seemed to have limitless energy, whereas she had tiny legs. Even the small hills took some time for her to climb.
Eventually they made it to....wherever Bug was taking her. Tarot could hear something that sounded like running water, anyway. Unless it was a garden hose, then they might have to keep moving.

Bug noticed the little one wasn't all that quick, but not much she could do, she wasn't about to pick her up. She didn't think Tarot would like that very much anyway.
Yup they had made it. It was a small creek but there was still a good amount of rocks to choose from. Bug looked back at her well covered friend waving.
"We're here!" Yelling at Tarot before dashing to the stream. Bug took off her shoes and stepped in. Shivering, it was cold but that didn't stop her from stomping about in it.

Tarot looked around. She'd been to the creek before, but Sev had always been with her. She might have stepped in the shallows herself, just to get her feet wet, but if she got any of herself wet Sev might guess she'd wandered away and that would result in another long and boring rant.
Instead she set about poking at the ground as her companion slashed around in the water. It didn't take must prodding before she came up with a handful of nice, smooth rocks, as well as a couple interesting pointy ones. Nothing clear though, which was disappointing since they tended to be the most interesting.

Bug peered over at Tarot's rocks. Hmm, so those are the kind she wants, good thing we came here rather than at the road. She thought to herself as she scooped up a handful of rocks from the bottom.
She had a wide collect of different colours and textures. Some had fossils in them still and one soothed green glass pebble stood out among the heap that Bug dropped on the ground before Tarot.
"Anything worth taking back?" slightly hoping she wasn't satisfied so she could play in the water some more.

Tarot picked through the pile, lingering on the fossils. A picture went through her head, a pretty fish swimming through deep water. The rest showed similar pictures, with a few species variations.
"These're real nice," she said, cupping the fossils in her hands and tipping them in the basket. There was one she might even put on her shelf. She passed up the bright green pebble, since it didn't really feel like a rock to her. Out of the rest of the pile she picked a dark gray rock studded with clear flecks, and one that looked almost like a dark blue.
"These're real good." She looked up expectantly at Bug. "Any more pretties?"

A huge grin came across Bug's face. Although Tarot was smaller than her Bug was happy to make the girl pleased, it seemed like such a fruitless task for the most part!
Nodding "Sure!" Bug went back to the creek and summoned more rocks for the girl.
After the basket seemed full Bug decided on her own that it'd be best for her to carry the slew of rocks, since she was already used to carrying 30 pound bags for flour all the time, a couple of rocks were nothing.
Bug would look back every now and again to make sure the toddler was keeping up but aside from that they seemed to have been making good time in heading back to where the magic happened.

Tarot was running a piece of clear quartz through her hands as she followed Bug, looking up every now and then to make sure she was going in the right direction. This little rock had been the best find, it had so many interesting things to tell her! It would definetly go on her shelf.
They made it back to her little patch of a garden, and Tarot set about using the freshly-gathered rocks to border the seed plot, so she'd always know where they were.
"Th'nks f'r helpin' me," she said, giving Bug one of her tiny smiles.

Yay, she smiled again!
"You're welcome" she smiled back.
Tarot looked so pleased to be back at her garden, and Bug she really didn't want to sit back down and do... nothing.
Bug fiddled with the bottom of her shirt. "Ummm, I think, I probably should head back home now." and not do nothing. She didn't want to leave leave the girl but she didn't want to be bored and didn't think she could convince her to do something else.
