Leo looked up. So far he'd gone up ten of the almost fourty feet. Charis was peering down at him with a face pinched in terror. Leo sighed though his nose. "I said to relax," he called up, tone a touch exasperated. "Close your eyes if you gotta, but you have to be calmer before you climb down!"
He wasn't sure how well Charis would handle having his eyes closed. Most of the time it helped. When you couldn't see the height or what held you, you had to focus on the feel. It would make shifting his weight a whole lot easier, so that he could stabalize himself. That was how Leo himself began training when he was a kit.

Forcing himself to relax he tried to followed Leopold's instructions to calm down. He closed his eyes and breathed a few deep breathes. He was rewarded with the mental image of him falling over and knocking both himself and Leo to their deaths. He snapped open his eyes unable to bear the idea of killing another fox. He lied down on the branch he was on and quitely thought of happier things. Like his gray angel or the fact that he had meet such a nice fox like Leo.

Leo was now twenty-five feet up. He had to circle the tree to get there, making almost a spiral path up. There were skinny branches in front of him now though, and it would require a quick leap from the Phim. Leo sighed. It was along the easist path he'd found so far, so it would have to do.
To keep boredom or a panic attack at bay Leo shouted out a question to Charis. "Tell me about your mate. What's her name? What's she like?"

My mate? Charis blushed. She isn't my mate yet! She is just the most beautiful compassionate graceful Phim in the world. Charis knew he sounded silly but he didn't care at the moment. Talking to Leo about his angel did make him feel better.
(the size it up because Charis is yelling >.<)

"What color is she? My mate, she's all white with purple stripes and swirls, and a grey moon and purple howling howling wolf pattern on her hip," Leo called up. Personally he thought Aegle personified beautiful, but he wouldn't have been her mate if he didn't feel so, he supposed.

She is gray like a storm cloud before it starts to rain. Her hair has white black and gray in it. An her wings and the tips of her ears have lighter gray markings over her darker gray that matches her coat. Charis calmed down the more he thought about Azrael. Soon he was relaxed and quite not at all scared anymore. He even started to smile a bit.

"Is she sweet to all foxes, or are you her exception?" Leo knew Aegle let him get away with things that would cause her to tear the limbs off any other fox who tried it. Love made people into idiots sometimes.

She is always nice to everyone but she said that she likes me. She said at one point that she 'didn't deserve to be with me' as if that where true she is so amazing, I'm the one who is lucky enough to have found her. Charis chuckled. He loved Azreal more then anything.

"Well at some point in our lives we always wonder if we're worthy of our mates. It's just us trying to do what's best for the ones we love." As they talked Leo had steadily been climbing higher. Now his voice sounded almost right below Charis' branch.
Leo peered up at Charis with his amethyst eyes. "Ready to try to climb down now? It might be a little scary here or there, but I have faith you can make it."

Charis blinked. Leo had faith in him? That's not something I hear everyday. Sure, why not? Getting up he tested his weight and made sure he would be able to manage menuvering in the tree before he lowered himself gingerly onto the branch Leo was on. He didn't feel as scared anymore. He was nervous but not petrified as he was before. Hey Leopold?

Leo had started to lead them toward the tree trunk, where branches were thicker and steadier. The lower they got, the easier this journey would be. He looked over his shoulder at Charis. "Yea?"

Thank you for helping me. Charis followed Leo down the tree watching his step very carefully. He didn't want to fall and break something or sprain anything else. There was still the problem of what he would do with his wing at the bottom of the tree.

The trip down the tree was fairly uneventful, all things considering. There was that one touch and go moment where they hand to bounce off a smaller branch and onto a bigger, more stable branch. After than hurdle the rest of the way was easy.
Leo was grateful when they touched ground. He had been nervous, having to guild a Phim with a bum wing down a huge tree. He had done his best not to show it, and hoped it did a commendable job.

Charis had never been so happy to be earthbound as he was when he hopped off that last branch to the ground. Leo had seemed calm and patient with him but Charis had still been nervous on the way down. He had never not been able to use his wings before. It was scary. How did other foxes that where born without wings manage? On the ground at last. Yay! I've never been so happy to be here. Now all I need to do is find a way to wrap my wing and I'll be set.

Leo eyed the wing. "Are you able to pull it against your side and hold it there without help? That might be better than binding. If not I'm sure we can find something around here to use." Leo looked around, wondering what they could use. There wasn't a whole lot of viney plants in this particular area.
