Kiran laughed at her riddle. "I would hope that I'm the hero rather than a pack mule," he replied with a smile that soon faded into a look of horror. "Or do I look as dreadful as a pack mule to you?" He placed his free hand over his chest and looked wounded at the very idea. He could admit to being a little vain, though maybe he was more vain than he cared to admit. He thought he was a fairly handsome Lunarian. The idea that he might be mistaken for a mere pack mule would be shocking, if someone truly thought it.

Kiran pulled Yue along as he headed back into the city. "Then we must hurry!" He grinned as he threw a glance over his shoulder at her. "I doubt our parents would like it if we disappeared before we returned home." He tightened his hold somewhat on Yue's hand like he was worried that she really would disappear if he loosened his hold even slightly.
