Confusion stole over the white Sigel’s expression when the notebook that he had so heavily relied on for communication was snatched out of his grasp. Blinking, Xiu turned to LuLu questioningly only to find her busy scribbling away at something. There was also a small yet…unmistakable aura of…well…something. Not exactly evil but…the intentions were not exactly good either. Xiu wondered what was it that the rabbit frei was planning on doing was.
LuLu’s intentions became clear soon enough. Smiling triumphantly, the Frei held up the notebook for Xiu to inspect. She had cancelled out the last sentence of his explanation to replace it with “In fact, I owe LuLu two carrot cakes. I told her I would get both of you one as a goodbye present. “
That was a bit underhanded and Xiu was about to protest about it when he caught sight of the Frei’s expression. The words “Do not give this game away” was clearly written all over that innocent yet somehow devious face. Xiu folded his wings in defeat. Clearly there was a reason that LuLu had wanted it to be this way. Perhaps…the white raevan could even hazard that LuLu was even being the smarter of the two. An explanation such as that would ensure that no troublesome questions were asked later. Nevertheless, for a frei to be able to think of such a thing…
Xiu was slightly worried but played along. Nodding his head in affirmative, Xiu turned to Josh while raising his eyebrows enquiringly to see if LuLu’s guardian had any objections on the matter. The carrot cakes were being sold fast and a prompt reply was needed if they were to get those two akes.

By no means was LuLu smarter than her companion, the frei had just been given more time to understand how her guardian worked. Josh had a few complexities; however, like any mischievous daughter, she knew just which strings to pull in order to get out of a bad situation. This instance was no different. With the skill of an experienced orchestrator, she guided her plan to a glorious close.
She was pleased that Xiu was willing to continue their game.
The rabbit fluffed with pride and beamed at the sigel beside her. He had done well even though his actions had been hesitant. LuLu was not bitter about his apprehension. That sort of reaction was expected from such a noble individual. The fact of the matter was that LuLu had managed to get Xiu to follow her example and sway from his moral compass, even just a bit.
That was sign that Xiu really did mean to abide by his word. LuLu had some respect for the male's boundless merit. Yet, he would have to bend those high morals a bit if he was going to keep up with the frei's demands and stay true to his agreement to be the rabbit's knight. LuLu was far from being evil, but that did not mean she shied away from unruly behavior. In fact, with a powerful sigel in tow, the itch to be bad was stronger then ever. After all, Sir Xiu would protect her.
Josh looked at the notebook for a few tedious seconds. His lips were held in a firm line as he weighed the written words. Somehow, he had a feeling that his ravean was up to something. Nonetheless, he brushed the notion aside like a speck of dust. Today was meant for relaxation. It was probably for the best that he did not find out the truth. The boy nodded to Xiu but would not except his humbleness, "How kind! Quite the gentleman, aren't you? I insist though, take the gift. I know it is not much." He punctuated his word with a cheerful laugh. The boy was definitely enjoying how this sigel treated LuLu. He only hoped that the frei was treating Xiu with just as much kindness.
LuLu took Xiu's arm in her own. She locked her small hands around his wrist securely before she began to float towards the cake stand. She tugged the sigel along and made sure to smile at him again. She fluttered her long lashes with an innocent flourish to abolish any ill feeling still humming around them. She wanted her new friend to feel comfortable, because when he felt comfortable around her, he did nice things for her.
LuLu felt a sharp blade of worry slice into her chest as she noticed the cake stand fast approaching, because once the cakes were bought, she would have to part ways with Xiu. It would also mean the end of her wonderful day. The girl furrowed her brows in mild irritation. Her voice tolled gently as she squeezed the sigel's arm tighter, "Thank you Sir Xiu. I had fun today."

Xiu barely had time to receive Josh’s gift when he was towed away by his new found friend. Being with LuLu certainly left one with very little time to be bored. Already the young frei was smiling and batting her eye lashes at him; her body radiating a certain childish innocence. Xiu found himself drawn along with the Frei as they floated towards the cake stand.
As they neared the stall, LuLu seemed reluctant all of a sudden and this was apparent by the way she squeezed the Sigel’s arm. Surprised, Xiu turned to LuLu to enquire if anything was the matter.
"Thank you Sir Xiu. I had fun today."
Xiu smiled and patted the frei’s shoulder. He was glad that the Frei had not considered their ‘picnic’ ruined by the group of rowdy teenagers earlier and despite giving her guardian a white lie, Xiu found himself drawn to the mischievous frei. Taking out his notebook, Xiu wrote As have I. Let’s meet again sometime soon. Perhaps then we will not be interrupted
The stall owner recognized the two raevans as they approach and smiled. “Back again I see. H-How were the cakes?”
Xiu indicated what he thought of those cakes by holding up a thumb. Then pointing to the last remaining cakes (there were two left), the white Sigel indicated that he would like to purchase them.
“Very good,” the stall keeper said as she placed the cakes into paper bags. “Enjoy them.”
“Thank you,” mouthed Xiu as he paid for the cakes. Turning to LuLu, Xiu offered the cakes to the frei. I will be seeing you, then? wrote Xiu a moment later.

LuLu nodded at Xiu firmly. They would meet again. She would make sure of it! The rabbit's sour mood seemed to fade away for the time being. Instead, she decided to enjoy her last few moments with Xiu before she returned home with Josh.
LuLu was delighted when they managed to snag the last two carrot cakes. It was a wonderful end to an equally wonderful day. The frei took the cakes from her sigel friend. A broad smile was plastered over her face as she replied to him, " Yes! Soon." She waved good bye to Xiu as he departed. She left with her guardian not long after.
