Thanatos continued walking along his chosen path, walking through a tunnel where it became dark. He could clearly hear the paw steps around him. He noticed a dog laying on the side of the path he seemed to be old and resting. The dog looked up at him with weary eyes he looked at him and then up the path that seemed like where he wanted to go. 2/10

Thanatos looked crouched down and pet the dogs head. He then slowly reached around the dog who merely watched as Thanatos picked him up and carried him on his back along with him. The dog didn't resist at all but seemed to appreciate the help. Though the dog was quite large it didn't bother Thanatos even if his trip took a little longer he'd carry the old dog. 3/10

Thanatos was continuing his journey with the dog, who just seemed to rest on his back. Probably not trying to cause too much trouble. As he came up to an area it seemed a pipe had fallen atop another dogs leg and seemed to be pinned. Thanatos stopped and laid the first dog down on the floor and asked him to wait. 4/10

He then went over to the pinned dog and lifted the pipe up off of him. The dog moved and seemed to be limping Thanatos reached his hand out to help and the dog crawled up him arm and rested on his shoulder. He guessed another dog wouldn't be too bad and besides this one was smaller than the other. 5/10

He walked over to the old dog and picked him him. Now his journey continued with two dogs on his back. Continuing down the path that was out before him the burden of so much weight was becoming apparent. He was sweating just a bit but he could handle it. He hadn't seen any other dogs in a while and as he thought that he heard yelps from above.6/10

He hadn't noticed but he had entered a jungle area. Above him a dog seemed to be stuck on some vines by his leg and he was hanging upside down. Thanatos threw a kunai slicing the vine and the dog fell on his head. He yelped happily and stayed there. Thanatos sighed he guessed he had gain another passenger.7/10

Thanatos seemed he was close to the location he was heading but there seemed to be a small brown pug standing in his path. With the three on his back he walked, the heat and weight of the dogs was showing more so. He stopped in front of the pug who just seemed to eye him. 8/10

The dog opened his mouth and Thanatos expected a bark or some dog sound but it appeared words came out."That's enough you three."As surprised he was at the moment he was even more surprised when all three dogs leaped off his back and landed next to the brown dog. It appeared none of them were actually injured or weak. 9/10

He was a bit confused but then he looked back at the brown pug who had spoken."I can see the confusion on you're face, let me explain...follow me."The dog then began to walk along with the other who followed behind thanatos."Those three were meant as tests for whomever tried coming here. It was not only to see who they would react to a situation but to feel the will of the dogs." Thanatos began to understand now, all the dogs wanted to go up the mountain and he knew somehow without them even speaking. The brown pug stopped and looked at him."By the way, My name is Pakkun." Thanatos bowed slighty to the pug."Thanatos Hatake."The pugged nodded at the boy."Here is where you can find Aoiyasha, if you wish to make a pact with us she is who you must speak with. Keep your head down and don't like directly at her unless she allows it."

The dog placed her paw in front of him leaving a print. She told him to place his hand in the pawprint to test his worthiness. He did so and instantly felt a draining feeling. After a few seconds it was gone and Aoiyasha shook her head seemingly disappointed.

Thanatos returned to the canine island, he trekked back up to meet with the leader. This time he noticed not dogs seemed to be in need. They all just waited on the rocks and pipes looking down on him walking.

He eventually reached pakkun who was waiting outside of where he left him last time."I see you returned, I thought you had given up failing the first time." Thanatos smiled and shook his head."I've come so far, theres no way I'll be giving up now."

After the draining feeling Thanatos looked up at the white dog who was smiling almost like a mother smiling down upon her child."I see so you do have what it takes." Thanatos eyes widened as it seemed he had been accepted. Aoiyasha Then walked closer and seemed to be inspecting his eye the green one."Tell me the story about this." Thanatos thought about it and seemed it was only right to have the summoning know about him if they were going to work together. So he began to tell her his story. About how he and his brother were attacked, how he had lost his eye and at the same time his ability to be a shinobi. How in his place his brother became a ninja but sadly met his end on a mission. But before he did so he placed in his will that he wanted him to have his eyes. So in case he failed he would still have a chance to make their dreams a reality. Aoiyasha listened carefully to him, at the end Thanatos throat became dry recalling his brothers death. His eyes hurt with him holding his tears back. Aoiyasha slowly came closer to him and placed her head on his shoulder and wrapped her tail around him. With that action Thanatos couldn't hold back any longer and he cried. After he was finished Aoiyasha walked away and looked back at him."You have had a tough life and the ninken would be honored to have one such as you to be our sage."Thanatos froze he would be the sage of the ninken?"That's I mean...i would be honored as well." Aoiyasha nodded to him."You will stay here with us and train to become a strong sage." Thanatos raised an eyebrow."How long with I be here exactly?" Aoiyasha shook her head as if she didn't know the answer."It all depends on you." Thanatos nodded and stood."Let begin at once then."

Aoiyasha lead him out to an area that was surrounded by statues of large dogs. They all looked similar yet some differed in size and in facial appearance. Though it was slight differences, Thanatos wondered why they were there. They arrived at a circle where Aoiyasha took a seat. And Thanatos sat in the circle with him.”Now Let’s begin your training.” Aoiyasha told him as they sat across from each other.
He nodded in understanding and was ready to begin doing whatever it took to become the sage.”First of all I must explain what I’m about to teach you is not ninjutsu, but sage jutsu.”Thanatos nodded and thought about it. He didn’t really know all that much about sage jutsu. Aoiyasha could tell what he was thinking and went on to explain what Sage jutsu was. As opposed to Ninjutsu which takes internal energy for you to mold and make use out of. Sage jutsu involves taking outside energy for your use.”

Thanatos understood what he was saying and nodded. So to master this he wouldn’t be using his own chakra. He would be using the chakra that’s outside. But he had to wonder how he would do that exactly.” Aoiyasha at this point coundlt tell wether he understood it correctly so continued to elaborate.”As you’re probably aware, Ninjutsu utilizes chakra that is molded from one’s mental and physical energies.”To this Thanatos nodded, it was one of the basic things of shinobi. Only an idiot wouldn’t know that.


”Sage jutsu involves taking that internally generated chakra and adding nature energy from the outside.” Thanatos nodded again, so he would be using his own chakra, he would just be mixing it with the outside chakra.”This results in an even more powerful chakra.” Thanatos was beginning to understand, but the farther Aoiyasha explained the more difficult this began to get.” And that leads to all you’re ninjutsu, genjutsu, and even you’re taijutsu getting a boost in its power. Mental energy, physical energy within oneself and Nature energy from the outside.”
Thanatos nodded at Aoiyasha showing that he understood and could continue.” Jutsu and techniques born from the chakra created by these three combined energies is what is known as Sage Jutsu.” Thanatos sat for a second taking it all in.”I see.” He said and Aoiyasha raised an eyebrow at him.”Did you really understand all of that?” Thanatos nodded.
” So this Nature energy…” Aoiyasha interrupted here.”Energy that naturally exists in the atmosphere and terrain.”So the Air and the ground. Aoiyasha nodded he then began to walk away.”Where are you going?”Thanatos asked as he headed to the large dog statues.”I’m going to show you the power of Sage jutsu.”
She said as she walked up to the large dog statue and place his back to back and then hold onto the statue. Thanatos didn’t see him doing anything but that and he was a bit confused. He wasn’t one to judge but he doubted that dog could lift that huge statue in front of him. He would probably have some trouble lifting that.
Suddenly the large statue shook Thanatos’s eyes widened in surprise as it slowly began to lift off the ground with Aoiyasha lifting it up.”This is the power of Nature enhanced sage jutsu.”She told him lifting the huge statue up into the air. He then dropped the state back down which made the earth rumble showing that it wasn’t a fake statue or anything. It was very heavy and he lifted it all by himself.
Aoiyasha then walked back towards him.”I didn’t see anything though, I saw the sign you weaved at the beginning but nothing else.”Aoiyasha nodded at him.”Naturally, right now you are not able to sense nature energy Thanatos.”Thanatos thought about it and it made some sense he guessed he would have to train more before sensing nature chakra.”So as of now its impossible for you to absorb it.” His negative comment did not diminish or beat down his determination.
It was something that nothing could effect.” For this to be possible you must become one with nature.” Thanatos raised a curious eyebrow at Aoiyasha .” Absorbing Nature energy, it means the ability to sense it around you and draw it into yourself.” Thanatos had guessed as much, but he wouldn’t say anything as he could miss something important in all of this. It must be nesscesary for him to hear this if Aoiyasha was taking the time to explain it.” In addition , by becoming one with nature you also gain full control over the nature energy entering and leaving your body.”Thanatos nodded and understood what he had to do. So he focused in on himself , after a while he finally did it he went into sage mode. This went on for a long time, many months passed by as he continued training alongside with the dogs. Though he had already mastered the technique he wanted to get it down perfectly.
