Alzayr had been without a clue. The idea was to locate the elder, and win him over... Somehow. The wildlife here seemed intrigued, but at the same time, too energetic to really pay much attention to some strange foreigner in their lands. He couldn't really tell what he was supposed to do at this point, and thus, the monk walked aimlessly.

Through the foliage, Alzayr walked. Laughs and such seemed to echo through the rustling ground, as he continued. Suddenly, the foliage seemed to move aside too quickly, and the monk turned. There was a single monkey with a mischievous look upon his face.

[3/10]
"Keh keh keh keh."

That was all, before the monkey made its move. Sprinting in high gear, the monk moved to grasp a hold of Houou Tsume, and managed to grab it with great ease. The little monkey was off with his sword, and so, Alzayr was off after the little fellow.

From branch to branch, the small monkey leaped, surprisingly agile with even the 4 foot sword bouncing to and fro on its back. Not far behind though, the monk sprinted after him, constantly grabbing for the sword all the while.
"Hand that over!" he called, knowing full well their intelligence.

[5/10]

The area cleared out, and before him was a stone monolith. A temple, the gold trim of Houou Tsume's sheath retreating into the shadows. The blade was within the temple, whatever that meant for the monk, Alzayr had to reclaim the blade.

[6/10]

Into the temple the monk went, an arena sitting there. The long sword had been planted firmly within the earth, the small monkey sitting upon its hilt. One large one before him though, it was going to be troublesome.
"I've come for an audience, and my sword back." He was met only with laughter.
[7/10]

Hopping into the arena, the monk looked about. Only the one gorilla, and the little monkey. Harming them meant displeasing the elder though, so he sighed, shying his hand away from his katana, sprinting forward, met with surprisingly similar speed from the large ape.

[8/10]

Hand to hand, the monk wrestled with the large ape. It was a shocking bit, that he was on par with such a fearsome creature. His eyes closed a moment, as he changed his focus, and his state of being. The state of power in tow, the monk wrenched the ape's wrist, flipping him to the ground.

[9/10]

"The elder is beyond."
A grin on his face, the red headed monk pulled Houou Tsume from the earth, the little monkey jumping off and watching warily as the monk headed beyond, finding the monkey king ahead.

"I ask of your faith and your trust."

The monk looked up at Enma upon his throne, as he knelt before him. His request put on the table, the monk was curious as to whether or not he'd receive an answer he'd appreciate.

"Mhm," the monkey king nodded. It seemed the monk was trustworthy enough.

The monk didn't have the liberties to putz around anymore, as he entered into the forested area around the temple of the apes. The infamous grin of the sword thieves from the encounter prior. It was a long trek through the forests, humid as it was. He continued to stroll along, passing up others. The small monkeys. The apes as he neared the temple itself. It wasn't until he reached the gates to the temple, which yielded to him the sight of Enma, he who watched over the rights to his passage to the contract.

"Enma, it's been some time," the monk spoke up, bowing, to receive one back from the gorilla. "I'd make pleasantries, but the world is growing chaotic, and I need some help. I need power to protect." He looked up to Enma, rather than exchanging words, he nodded briefly. They stepped through the temple grounds, down corridors until finally they reached an inner yard. Beside a pool of strange oils, sat two of the shinobi world's most well known. Tamarin and Roloway.

The two were bickering, up until Enma arrived with the monk. Inevitably, the two ceased but a moment to stare him down, near-human eyes looked to him from the wizened apes. "Is this the one?" Roloway spoke up, eyeing up the monk. Enma nodded again.

"Empress, I hate to bother you all, but I need your help. A way to work with the world," he replied, the two wizened leaders looking to one another.
"You are bold for this," Emperor Tamarin spoke, as he indicated the pool, hopping off his seat beside the pool. He disappeared for a moment, while Roloway began to explain.

"Sennin mode will give you what you need, however it is not without its dangers. A slower route is most safe, but we can give you a chance to accelerate the process," Empress Roloway explained indicating the pools. "Should you fail, this could end you, summoner."

                                                                    "I understand."

The female indicated the pool, gesturing him to enter, and the monk boldly leaped in.

Probably not the most wise decision in the world, but because of it, the young man was beginning to experience something... bizarre. It was something similar to when he often looked into himself, in an attempt to learn the identity of his states. In that case, the world about him was represented by his own chakra, in this case... it was surreal. Entirely new. He climbed from the pool, his awareness of the area was rapidly changing. Noises. Sight. Even the ability to feel out the chakra of those around him... And then he looked to his hands. Scarlet red fur was lining his knuckles in droves. And that was when... Crack. The monk buckled to his knees as the sensation rushed from him.

                                                                    [1/5]

In the background, he listened to bickering vaguely, as he reoriented himself. "That'll open you up to a whole new world for a little while," Roloway voiced between bouts of attempting to discourage Tamarin from striking the monk in the back of the head. He'd been struck behind the knees to begin, but it floored him either way. "Open yourself up to the world, as you did in those brief moments in the pool." Clambering back up to his feet unsteadily--for Tamarin practically hit like a train from the North--to step up beside the pool of water. Roloway dipped her hands within again, mercilessly slinging it in the young man's face.

                                                                    [2/5]

Again, he was growing aware of the energies that surrounded the world around him, though this time he wasn't quite being clubbed with the stick immediately. So maybe that was a good thing? The energy gathered quickly, and even more so was he growing accustomed to the process. The world around him wanted to shove it into him, it was like someone had opened the floodgates, as the world about him grew increasingly aware to the monk. It felt as if it were a whole new world that he'd failed to experience, when finally crack. The sensation fled him, exhaling deeply.

                                                                    [3/5]

"You need to calm down, and take it in peaceably!"

Sighing, Zay nodded. There was not near as much oil as prior thrown his way, this time he was expected to place it himself over something. Two fingers in, a line across his eyes. The flow of chakra was stunted due to the reduced size of holes in which the energy of the world about him ran through. He was beginning to understand the flow of the chakra of the world itself, as it circulated and attempted to incorporate the young man into the mix. He was beginning to understand the rhythm in which it circulated, creating a sensation that was even newer in his ordeal thus far. A sense of balance he had achieved with himself a couple years back, simulated so. It was about this point that his body tensed: Revelation was when he was seemingly saved time and again. Crack. It fled him again.

                                                                    [4/5]

"You recognize it now?" Tamarin spoke, his hand feeling the pummeling of the beating stick. A bemused grin back to the young man.
"You try without oil now, no?" Roloway commented secondarily.

He nodded a little. He knew what he was looking for now. Hopefully the sign of the stick wouldn't follow. Assuming his usual pose for meditation: He'd discovered his states in this shape. In this form, he worked to open to the world about him. Actively, he began to search for the natural energies, which begrudgingly began to gather about the monk bit by bit. He did so at peace as best he could, the monk gathering the energies about him. The feeling was a bizarre sensation: The monk freely felt the world at large. Senses sharpened, he looked up, to the nods of two wizened apes. He had done it? Looking into the pool of oil, he was greeted by someone new.

                                                                    [5/5]
                                                                    [Sennin Mode Learned]

A navy blue streak across his eyes, with an accompanying pair of lines down his cheeks. Scarlet and crimson hues etched along the edges of his cheeks, the blue curving along the hair. He grinned. His teeth were sharpened surprisingly so, and he bowed to the elders. "Thank you, for your assistance in this. May we meet again soon," the monk nodded, as he met the two of them waving.

"Don't be a stranger now," Empress Roloway called in a comely fashion.
"Please, do. I need someone to distract this one. Frequently." It was Emperor Tamarin whose comment stuck with him in a bold laugh. The monk however, was back to racing home.

                                                                    [exit to world crossroads]

The road was long, and they were only barely a tenth of the way to their location. When they first arrived, they realized that up the mountain and in the forest there was a temple. It was far, and there was sure to be a plethora of obstacles just like the last time, but the twins were ready for anything. They started down the pathway, eager to meet any and all of the inhabitants. [1/10] It was strange that the first ten minutes of their climb up the mountain. A strong, heavy wind blew, causing the twins to have to hunker down. It was like someone was trying to knock them off the side of the mountain, actually, but they held fast and continued to move upwards until they reached a spot they could stand on. At that point, they ran into their first true obstacle.[2/10] A monkey, something like a chimp or maybe... well they didn't know what it was. He laughed... like a human laugh... and then he bolted up into the tree line. By the time they reached the tree he went up and climbed it, the twins were keenly aware of shuffling in the trees. Jay turned his head just in time to snatch an apple out of the air that was making a bee line for his head. He eyed the culprit, another small monkey. Before another second went by there was a hail of projectiles coming at them. Rather than keep swatting them aside, the duo took to the trees and started bounding from branch to branch to avoid getting hit too much. All the while their were screeches rising from all around, and that small monkey's laughter too. [3/10] The small monkey made a sound and and all of the projectiles stopped. When the twins realized they weren't under attack anymore they stopped and turned to look at the one perched ahead of them, lazily hanging from a branch. "Ah new blood. This should be interesting." Jay growled a bit. "Who are you! And why are you and your friends attacking us?" As he asked his question the Monkey hung by his tail. "Name's Reiko, and theyre attacking you because you don't belong here. Not yet anyway. Keep up the mountain. And if you see any of my siblings, tell em I said hiya!" [4/10] The twins were climbing up a rock face before long, and Reiko was no longer following them with his merry band of misfits. Instead, once again the wind picked up. Jay lost his grip and it was his sister's arm that he managed to reach out and catch. He grabbed the wall and pulled himself up once more. That was twice now that they had nearly been blown off of something, but they would not be so easy to stop. [5/10] It was while they were taking a breather that another inhabitant of the monkey appeared before them. He came swinging past on a vine before either of them knew he was coming and his foot crashed into Jay's head. It didn't hurt particulary bad but it did cause her to lose her footing. Jay caught her leg, and gave a swing. The monkey hollared as Jeon swung her foot at the vine and severed it. He barreled towards the floor and skidded to a stop, using his foot and a staff to land safely. "HA! Nice one. Keep climbing, humans! Vines are your friends!" Jeon, who was still a bit miffed about the kick leaped to catch him, but he barely escaped. "No touching! The name's Jinji. The others are waiting. You better keep going or Enma's gonna fall asleep!" "Crazy monkey. DONT GO AROUND KICKING PEOPLE!" Jay yelled after Jinji, who disappeared into the canopy. [6/10] The two were swinging from the vines before long. It was exhilarating really. The duo were far and away from adept at it, but with high reflexes and athletic bodies it wasn't too difficult for them to get the... HANG of it. Jeon, adventurous as ever, leaped from the high arc of a vine and flipped with a yell of adrenaline. Her hand gripped onto a vine and she swung beside her brother who laughed as they cleared a section ofthe forest much faster than they would have otherwise. From between them another monkey, this one bigger, zoomed by much faster. So fast in fact that the twins almost lost their grip. He stopped short ahead of the twins, who held onto their vines, moving back and forth. "I'm impressed. Most humans dont take too well to the swinging vines the first time. Reiko said you were fast, but I didn't imagine this fast. Call me Yaioko. Who might you two be? The younger monkeys don't tend to ask for names... probably cause most humans aren't fast enough to escape the poop and fruit." Jeon hild the vine with her leg and waved with both hands. "I'm Jeon, and he's my twin Jay. Nice to meet you!" He nodded and motioned for them to follow him. They did so, keeping to the vines as they had been praised for. [7/10] Suddenly Yaioko stopped, with no warning and the twins went flying past them. "Hold on tight!" he roared ahead. With seconds to adjust their grip in fear, a gust of wind blasted right into them and sent them careening to the side, no longer towards the temple. The pair held on for dear life as they were at the mercy of the wind. They reached the top of the vine's arc before there was a sudden directional change that sent them flying, once more, off to the side of the temple. When at last they were no longer at the wind's mercy the pair of them let the vine go and stood on the ground, aware they were likely being attacked at this point. [8/10] They carefully made their way towards the temple now, not leaping through trees several stories high or riding on vines. They were being smart, not apprehensive. At last the culprit of all the wind made himself known. With a thunderous boom that made them jump out of their skin a monkey the size of a house made himself known. He roared at them, and the wind pushed them back like they had been before. Still, when he cut the wind off he puffed smoke from his nose. They held their weapons as the red eyed demon inhaled again. That was... until a single loud roar, louder than his own, made him stop. He moved aside and the way to the temple was clear. [9/10] When they reached the temple, they sat before the white haired monkey, eager to hear exactly what he was going to say. "Grog can get a bit... overzealous. Still, I am impressed you all made it this high at all. Yaioko and Jinji betted in your favor. I owe them drinks. I am Enma. Now, speak. Why do you come to my temple?" Jeon spoke, as was expected. "I came with my brother to ask of you and your elders, Enma Oppa. Wait, I am Jeon, that's my brother Jay. We wish to sign a contract with you. " At first, Enma was quiet, administering them, gripping his staff, deep in thought. He reached behind himself and unrolled a scroll to them. "You two... I feel a familiarity within you. I can feel it. I can sense something I haven't in quite a long time." As the two looked they realized people who signed before them did so in blood. The two bit into their own thumbs and drew characters not familiar to the Monkeys. Nevertheless their names were down.[10/10]

"Come with me, Jeon and Jay," he commanded rising from his seated position. He turned and leaped from the temple, diving towards the treeline below. The twins were quick to follow, bringing the scroll along with them. The wind felt wonderful as they fell, finally successful in finding themselves worthy of a summoning contract. Enma snatched a vine, using his momentum to launch forward with the twins in tow. He bounded masterfully, rotating in the air and sommersaulting along the ground where it was advantageous. The twins were quick to learn his way was the best way, but not the only one as the trio made their way to where bickering could be heard. "I told you Enma was on his way with someone. Oh... looks like two." A female voice could be heard. Enma landed and immediately took a knee, prompting Jay and Jeon, who were a few seconds behind him, to do the same. "Bah, whatever Rolo." Enma cleared his throat. "Emperor Tamarin, Empress Roloway. I come before you with two who I believe are worthy. To my left, the girl is Jeon. To my right is Jay." The elders were quiet. Jay assessed them, rising at the behest of the elders. They were a pair of old looking chimpanzees, with stature belying they were due great respect. Tamarin rubbed his chin and cast a glance to Roloway who seemed to be observing them as well. "I see it now, Tama." Enma nodded. "You see Son and Nehza both in them right? I thought it may have just been me." Enma chuckled a little. "Nehza? Son?" Jeon asked. Tamarin spoke first. "Yes, Son Wukong is the great monkey to whom we can thank for the formation of our contract, and Nehza was his closest friend. The two were practically inseparable, even when Son rebelled against the gods. It was Nehza and Son together who ended a long war between the gods and the monkeys." Roloway scoffed. "This is an old folktale. Nonetheless, the real people the stories are based on were blood brothers Son Wukong and Nehza. It would appear reincarnation has brought them back to us indeed Enma. Nehza ended up a girl for real this time, huh?" The three shared a chuckle. "Well, such as it stands, I believe we have found our new sages, huh?" The twins perked up. "Sages?" they harmonized. Roloway and Tamarin rose and leaped towards a pond not far away. The twins followed, with Enma urging them on. "Go on. We will speak again another time."

When they reached where the Elders were now seated, they walked on the water, feeling the cool below bare feet. "You now stand above the sage oil pond. It's been ages since one has bathed within. You will be the first in recent years to try. See the statues around you. Those are the failures. I do hope you do better, Son and Nehza." The twins were taking to the names, albeit slowly. "What exactly are we going to be doing?" Jay asked as the two looked around at the monkey statues. "Training to learn to interact with, and more importantly control, natural chakra. This will allow you to reach sage mode, and truly be the sage of the Monkeys. Of course, you can decline, as an over abundance of this chakra will cause your body to become stone, and then for you to be frozen as one of the monkey statues forever. Knowing this, will you continue down this path?" Jay and Jeon touched hands and agreement was reached instantly. The chakra fell from their feet and they sank into the pool, bathing in the oils.

Jay and Jeon rose from the pool feeling not a whole lot different. "Ok. Good news is, this isn't actually the right pool so you won't be turning to stone. Bad news is, we forgot where it is so we will guide you through your training. Come with us to the top of the trees." Mortified, the twins wordlessly climbed the three behind the elders. When they were as high as they felt safe, the elders urged them higher. "The tree is strudier than you both combined. Get to the top and stand on one foot." The twins made their way to the top and wobbled a bit as the high altitude winds pushed at them. "The first step is often the hardest. Even while dripping wet, cold and with unstable footing you must be able to stay completely still." Roloway was soothing as she spoke. J&J closed their eyes and brought one foot to their thigh. They continued to wobble, but they had practiced meditation before. Oddly enough it was moredifficult for Jay to do it than his sister, but nonetheless he tried to stay still.

What must have been an hour passed before Tamarin spoke. "You must be your own yin and yang, kids. Reaching physical balance will aid you in reaching spiritual balance. Both are needed for you to continue on with your sage training." The movements were spaced out a lot more now than they were at first. Jeon was nigh on statue level still. As the wind blew against her she was like the tree below. Only her hair blew in the wind, and the loose pieces of her clothing with it. Her body was at balance.

Jay's mind, like his sister's mouth, was constantly running. He had taken half again as long as his sister to reach a meditative state. His body was not fidgety normally so it was a strange sight indeed, seeing him move more often than Jeon. Eventually his body reached a level of quiet as the yin began to calm the yang. "There you go Wukong. Took you just as long as last time to still yourself. It shouldn't be so hard for you to remember. Jeez, just like last time you're the slowpoke." Roloway was teasing him, but Jay didn't even bat an eyelash to indicate he was listening. He still managed not to flinch when she leaped and perched on a branch just below him. He was finally there.

Now, as they remained still the natural energy was open to them, but they had to begin drawing it inside. "Imagine your elemental nature as a corruption. Imagine even your own chakra as simply a chap imitation of something far greater. Picture that greater energy is connected to you always but never within reach." Tama moved below Jeon. "You are a natural occurence, just like the tree on which you stand. Meditate on what it would mean for this tree to have it's own, unbiased chakra network." The two of them did so, ignoring their own chakra networks as their bodies opened their tenketsu. In the absence of physical motion they could feel it ever clearer than any other time. If the tree had chakra, it wouldn't be like theres. Neither would the chakra of the summons. It would be natural. Found in Nature.

"Already you can sense it, you just need to be in tune. Feel that natural energy in the tree. Let it's flow become familiar." Rolo cut in. "And allow that flow within you to slow. Make space within yourself. Feel the world as it tries to reach equillibrium with you." Jeon and Jay both kept open minds, as they could not yet feel it. For more than half an hour there was quiet. There was nothing. It surprised them all when a bit of a presence made itself known. It was ambient, and voluminous but they couldn't quite place it. "You can feel it. Draw it into yourself. Feel the power of the world. The monkeys' power." Slowly, they began to will that presence inward.

At first it was jarring having the natural energy take hold of them and begin to fill them. There was no clash within them as the natural energy melded with their natural energy. The constant flow of their chakra was now being increased by an outside force like nothing they had ever felt before. It was invigorating but it didn't even make them alter their breath. More important was their immobility as they drew in this power for the first time. They couldn't tell, but the natural energy was causing changes within them. "That's it. Be still, will it to you. It will come." Slowly Jeon was beginning to gain muscle, to gain a bit of height. This was what was lost to Jay in the womb, curbing her growth. Jay, on the same coin, was becoming mroe tone slowly. Seeing this the elders fell from the trees to find food while the two worked their magic.

Another whole our passed before they were rejoined by the Emperor and Empress. Jay and Jeon both were still bringing in the natural energy slowly. Flared nostrils on the Elders showed surprise that they were still going strong. They were impressed to see them. Around their eye sockets black lines were beginning to appear. It would not be long now. "Your body as well as your spirit grows as you become one with the Moksha-the world soul. Continue to feel that power grow." Both of them felt their hair grow to double it's length with Jay growing sideburns like Enma as well. Jeon's hair was spikey, and a patch of fur appeared on the back of both of her hands and forearms. These changes were indicative that it was working. At this juncture they could feel they were near the upper limit of their ability to absorb natural chakra. "Now, remain still."

"Do not open your eyes," Tamarin spoke first, puncutated by "But see the world," from Roloway. The twins didn't get it until they took note of it. Enma was down below. Grog had come as well. They were joined by Jinji soon after, and then Reiko. Yaioko had elected to climb part way. They could sense chakra? Is this what the sensor ninja felt the world like? That was difficult to wrap their heads around, but as they felt the chakra around them it became more and more clear. "I'd wager they're ready to see through new eyes, Rolo." Roloway nodded to him. "Open your eyes." When they did so, they were surprised by the changes, especially the long black lines lining their bodies in winding patters from their eyes down to their feet all along their skin.

"Jeon, you grew," Jay said. Jeon smirked. "And you look more like a monkey!" "I think we both do," they said. "Now that you've entered sage mode the first time, it should always be easier. You'll have to gather sennin chakra and be prepared to blow it all fast, but otherwise that is the long and short of it. You can keep this up for only so long, however, so don't squander it." With Roloway's explanation, the twins nodded and allowed their bodies to relax. Even as they had been stationary for a fourth of the day, they felt so alive, so strong. It was unlike anything they had ever felt before. Eager to test themselves, they looked to the Elders for confirmation. "Can we?" they asked. "Go one, show us what ya got." Boy were they ready to do so.

They both bent down slowly, coiling the muscles in their legs, their core, hell everywhere. The pent energy released as they unfurled into a leap. They rose faster than they thought possible, clearing the cloudline above them with the expression of strength. The two of them hit the top of their jump arc and looked around at the massive forest. When they began their descent, they at first fell with closed eyes and their back to the top of the iron-like trees that threatened to impale them. At the last second they turned to avoid that fate, and turned into a dive bomb with several dozen stories to go. They went right past Yaioko, snatching a pair of vines and suddenly whipping forward. As they torpedo'd ahead, they gave a spin and kicked at a tree. They took a chunk out of the side of it, barely losing momentum, and then landed ona branch. With their ability to sense chakra they could feel Enma giving chase with Yaioko. They were quick to launch back at them, meeting each of them head on with a fist or foot to match them. The impact was enough for both sides to recoil to the ground, and as they landed, the twins let out a howl and beat on their chests. Enma roared back, asserting dominance, and Yaoiko followed suit. The four engaged, bounding back and forth, slamming attack after attack into each other. By the time the sage chakra puffed out, the duos were tired out, and they all collapsed to the floor, laughing as the extra hari mostly went away. Jeon remained now as tall as Jay, and they were overall far more toned than they were previously but nonetheless the two were puffed out. "When you get home, learn the summoning technique to bring us to you, and we will come. Maybe not the boss, not yet, but I will come to help you." Yaioko said. Reiko and Jinji gave yelps of affirmation. For the moment, however, the twins simply fell asleep on the floor.

When they arose, the two would gather themselves and find the emperor and empress. They bowed in thanks before promising to return soon. In a matter of minutes they would be back down the mountain and on their way home.
