"Soup? Why of course little lady, we'll get you some tasty stew. You! Dirty boy! You get yourself cleaned up and decent?"He didn't wait for an answer," Good! Hey perty boy! What's your name and rank soldier? Hell, it doesn't matter, scout ahead, find us some victuals. You, stay with the ladies and bring up the rear, keep them safe, I'll take our flank and make sure we aren't being ambushed. Move out!" He leapt off the roof and moved off round the curve of a hill and into the brush, dissapearing from sight.
A loud thwapping sound, and several other violent noises were accompanied by a loud moaning noise. He called out, "Don't worry, I got 'em, continue on." Vickery continued on, staying off the side to the group and keeping an eye on things from a slightly higher ground above the road.

Jesse looked back at the two girls and nodded. "Soup it is." He didn't care how long he'd have to be out searching the town. He wouldn't come back until he had found at least a few different varieties for the little girl. He gave a sheepish grin while looking down at Grace. "Well I'm sure I'll be able to find something suitable for a meal..." Her next question was asked, not with her voice, but with her eyes. "Jesse. Jesse Hayworth." He only hoped that the girl didn't keep up on sports, be it college or the Olympics. He stood, occasionally glancing over his shoulder at the crazed man, while he waited for the girls name.
Finally deciding he couldn't wait any longer he smiled, waved a quick goodbye to the little girl, and turned again to follow the southerner. "Uh, Sir... it might be easier to take commands if we knew who exactly you were talking to." He bit back a bout of laughter.
