Sirenstoy Dr_lecter1988 Sirenstoy Ah, I see... Well, I'll give'em a go anyways... right after I get done with Lord Brocktree.... good book. I'm digging it. I started with martin the Warrior and it got me hooked on the Redwall books. TEHy are fairly fun books. I actually started with Mossflower, which is kind of hard to read when you're ten, with the antiquated talk. but i enjoye dit, and i have a few of them on the shelf, haven;t read them in ages though.

I finished reading the Vampire Chonical books. I got so addicted to them... My favorite would most definetly be Armand, but David is pure awesome. She's one of my favorite authors... my dad got me to read Interview With the Vampire and I was instantly hooked. I know that her husband is a poet, but I'm not a big fan of poetry. Queen of the Damned was horrificly butchered when turned into a movie, the book is much better.

lurichan You know, it's been so long since I've read any of the books... I can say that I almost detest Lestat though for his general attitude and demenour... he is one of my least favorite characters... I think Armond was okay from what I can recall...which is from almost 10 years ago now. ^^* oh thank god, somebody is with me on the whole Lestat is a lil crying b***h on everything that a happens to me "wahhh im immortal and a rock star, why does everything bad happen to meeeeeee"

I'd have to say Marius is my favorite. Not the one from the movie, the one from the books.

I loved the movie Queen of the Damned based on her book. It was wicked awesome, it's just too bad Aaliyah had died while it was being finished.

personally, i am a fan of anne rice because i think she has terriffic style. even if you don't like the stories, you cannot deny her that. i would be very excited if she moved in next to me, being a writer myself. my favorite vampire she has created would have to be marius, because he is very articulate and very well learned, and had to carry a burden that none of the other vampires could quite comprehend.

Gaa gonk
She is one of my least favorite authors. Right near the bottom of my list, a contender for my least favorite if not for John Grisham's existance.

Mm...Anne Rice... She has some up points and some down points. She has a beautiful writing style but her novels are highly plotless, though even that has a purpose, as she stories aren't to tell grandoise high adventures, but rather life stories of these characters.
Personally I prefer other vampire novelists such as Poppy Z Brite, but that isn't to say I haven't read all the Rice novels.
As for my favorite character, I must say I adore Marius. He is brilliant, romantic, and exudes a sexual calmness. ^.^

Mina Lilith Ok, apparently Anne Rice just moved in like next to me, so this prompted a new topic... Who's your favorite Anne Rice Vamp? What do you Think of her writing? Anyone besides me like her husband's (Stan Rice) work? Anyone besides me kow what her husband dose? I'd have to say Lestat sweatdrop or Marius. I'm not sure why, maybe cause one is a confident p***k and the other is just looking for knowledge. I enjoy her writing. I find that I can get into her world so to speak, understand her characters (or try to)and relate to them somewhat (seeking the truth, dealing with the 'monster' that is me, etc). I enjoy his poems but I can't find a book with just his work.
