Calm Journal Writing I am currently sitting on the beach, facing the ocean, and feeling... uncertain. I am safe here from the sounds of things, there is a rather large and scary dragon here that won't let the man who is following me around get anywhere close. I was able to get a nap, he brought me something fish to eat, and over all things here are quite... good I think. I find myself already wishing I could stay here with Leviathan, it seems that he is the Lord of the Ocean and this great stretch of beach belongs completely to him. Its an admirable thing really, to already have so much... he even has the Zora boy that calls himself Guppy as a constant companion. I want such a thing like that though it sounds selfish even as I write it.Ryuusei paused mid writing to stare down at what he'd just written down before crossing it out, not liking how his own thoughts had sounded on paper. Just because he was lonely didn't mean that he wanted to find himself someone that he could keep as his own... it didn't sound terribly nice at all. He would enjoy the company he was able to find but he wouldn't try to force himself on anyone ever again. He wanted to be a nice, good dragon after all! Renewed Writing I find myself wondering where I should go from here, after all I know as much as I would like to do so I can't stay here forever, I need to move on and to find my Daddy as difficult as that task is proving to bed... especially given the fact that I have that stalker. I wonder if Daddy knows that Darcy sent such a person after me... I bet he doesn't, I don't think that he would allow for that to happen if he knew about it. Or at least that is what I would like to believe, that my Daddy does care for me to at least some degree... I miss him. I know I only met him once and it didn't go to well but its like... like I am longing to be near him. I want nothing more then to find him, to give the silver star to him, to be allowed to be near him, talk to him, it sounds strange but its all that I could ask for in life. I merely hope that I am lucky enough that I will be able to find him, if I keep moving is it possible that I will run across him? Be walking down the street and there he is, standing there waiting for me... I want to believe that its possible, believe that I will find him. It is this continued hope will keep me going. I won't give up Daddy to Darcy like l gave up Mrrh to his new family, not when I know that Darcy doesn't make him happy like the new people make Mrrh happy. Ryuusei closed his journal and tucked it away into his star motif bag and looked toward the water's edge where he saw Guppy before he hopped to his feet, "Maybe its time to make more friends." He murmured, tail wagging behind him.

Talks with Guppy: Part OneRyuusei walked over toward where the pretty colored Zora boy was standing, finding that he enjoyed the feeling of the sand under his bare feet as he walked along. It wasn't often that he walked along like this, usually choosing to float instead. He had a rather delighted smile on his lips as he got closer to his where he Guppy was standing, "Hello there!" He chirped the moment that he was close enough to the other boy that he wouldn't have to shout to get his attention. Guppy turned from what he was doing to look over at the little silver dragon and remained for the longest time rather quiet, not sure what he should think about this boy since he had come here out of no were and was suddenly making such good friends with Leviathan for the mere fact that he was a dragon. The fish boy didn't want to be jealous of him but he had been working so had to impressed the Sea Lord, he felt that if he were a dragon himself perhaps he could do better? Regardless of his desire to make impress Leviathan he wouldn't allow himself to get upset with the silver haired boy, he was an innocent and kind little thing after all from what all Guppy had seen and heard thus far. "Hello." He murmured, fins giving a slight twitch, "Your name is Ryuusei, right? I heard it from Lord Leviathan." He said, setting down a few shells that he was arranging so that he could face the silver haired dragon more easily. Ryuusei gave a bright smile and a rapid nod of his head, "Yes, that's my name! And yours is...?" He asked, having heard at least a dozen various nicknames in regardless to the Zora thus far but he couldn't tell if any one of them was his actual name. It was a bit confusing if you asked Ryuusei, maybe he had more then one name? He supposed that it was possible. "I don't have a real name yet, I go by Guppy though since it was the first thing that Lord Leviathan called me when we met." He murmured, sounding a little embarrassed to be lacking in something as simple as a true name but it was the truth, he had at least a million names where Leviathan was concerned, whatever came to mind for the sea dragon was what the Zora was called. He didn't mind it so much himself but it was something strange to have to explain to others, that he was lacking in a given name. "Ohh... really?" Ryuusei asked, eyes a bit wide. He hadn't expected to be told that the fish boy didn't have a name at all. It was so... sad in a way. He reached a hand out to pat him on the head gently, almost soothingly, "You could always pick one for yourself you know." He suggested to the other boy, his tail swishing behind him in a rapid manner. It seemed like the best idea if you asked him! He smiled before knelt down, reaching over to pick up a shell, looking it over, "Are you a shell collector?" Guppy looked down at them before he gave a little laugh, "No, I don't collect them but Lord Leviathan loves when I bring him pretty, perfect shells." He said, motioning to the smaller amount of shells that were considered special and perfect while the rest of them were iffy, little imperfections or chips that he knew would make Leviathan not like him that much, "I have a found a couple of them so far on the beach that he might like but I am going to have to go into the water to find more. Do you swim Ryuusei?" He asked of the dragon as he turned to looking into the water, fins opening up, stretching out, and he looked as though he were getting ready to walk into the water. "No... well once in a water fountain at the park but never in a place as big as the ocean." He said, following as Guppy headed toward the water though he stopped when he was up to his ankles. He didn't want to go in to deep since he didn't know how deep it was, given the size of the animals that lived in the ocean though he would say that it had to be quite deep. The Zora turned to look over at Ryuusei before he looked from side to side as though he were looking for something important, looking for his Lord and when he didn't see the sea dragon around he carefully remove one of his brightly colored scales and pressed it against Ryuu's skin where it stuck, "There you go, so long as you have that on you you will be able to go swimming in the ocean and breath under the water." He whispered quietly before he continued forward into the water, splashing as he went. The silver dragon looked down at the gift that he was given, a rather amazing scale that would allow him to breath under water, and he gave a happy sound as he raced into the water after Guppy and the pair seemed to dive in at the same time. It was obvious that Ryuusei was a very trusting creature to believe such a thing without even questioning it. (( 896 ))

With Guppy: Part TwoThe ocean was far different under the surface in comparison to how it looked from above, like a whole other wold to be discovered. There was so much down here that was completely and utterly beautiful down here. From the colorful shells that were laying around on the ground, to the plant life that seemed to sway from side to side as though there were a breeze down here, to rainbow colored fish that swam around, there were so many things to be seen under the surface and Ryuusei couldn't help but to stare with huge eyes as he took it all in for the first time. It was just... amazing, no picture book could ever compare to see it close up, "Wow!" He cried out before he lifted his hands up to his mouth, covering it in shock as he realized that along with being able to breath under the water he was able to talk as well? What an amazing power the Zora boy had! To be able to let her people come to his world, it was the most amazing gift that he could ever share with anyone and he was nice enough to allow Ryuusei down here. It made the dragon start to like the fish boy more and more. He turned to look over at where Guppy was though as he turned his head he realized something funny, his stars were with him. He looked up toward the surface and he could see the cloud of stars up there, just above the surface, and following long after him without having to go into the water. It would appear that they didn't want to swim he thought to himself before he set to giggling in an all to amused manner. He never knew that his stars didn't like the water but now that he thought on it when he dove into the water at the fountain his stars hadn't gone in then either, had they? They had just hovered over the surface to wait for him to get done cleaning himself up. He giggle a bit before his attention was back on his fin covered companion, "Are you going to gather more shells while we are down here then, Guppy?" He asked of him, swimming over toward him best that he could despite the fact that he had never learned how to swim in this form. It seemed far more complicated given that he had much longer limbs as well as a bigger body. When he was a dragon he was far more streamlined and seemed better made for swimming. Oh well he would figure out swimming in this form to he thought to himself in a determined manner. Guppy turned to look over at the dragon boy who was doing a strange, flailing sort of swimming to get over to where he was as he inspected some shells before giving a little bit of a laugh, "Ahh, yes, I am seeming about collecting some shells." He said, holding up a pair of them, "What do you think of these two?" They were pretty and they didn't seem to have any imperfections on them that might make his Lord dislike them, he really hoped that he could get an idea from this dragon if another dragon would like them, he knew that he didn't have to collect as many shells now since Leviathan seemed to be more interested in Guppy now following after and perfecting his musical talent but if he wanted to impress his Lord enough to be allowed to get a new and beautiful instrument for himself he had to continue to do chores for him from time to time, to collect offerings from time to time as well. Anything to better his chances of getting an ocarina, harp, or many a flute. He'd yet to figure out exactly what sort of thing he wanted to play, all he knew was that he wanted something small enough that he could carry it with him at all times. Ryuusei looked at the two shells that he was holding out toward him, one of them was a white shell that had a wavy look to it, and the second one was a more colorful shell that looked a bit twisted in its design, "Those are rather neat looking, I like the more colorful one myself but then again I can't really speak for your Lord since I am not sure what Sea Dragons like, he is the first one that I have ever met... though I suppose that he is overall the first dragon I have ever met before, its kind of lucky really that I was saved by another dragon, it gave me a savior who knew what was going on and knew of the danger that my stalker presented to me. I didn't even know that the guy was a dragon slayer!" He said, ever talkative when given someone that would listen to him as he babbled. "A dragon slayer? How scary." Guppy murmured, tucking the colorful shell into a bag he carried at his side since it was the one that Ryuusei seemed to like it was one that he believed then that his Lord would like. Surely dragons much have similar tastes when it came to such things, right? He was sure of it. He reached out to take Ryuusei's hand in his before swimming to the next area so that they could search there, "Be careful in this area, the rocky ground here is home for all sorts of unfriendly but tasty creatures, there are urchin, crabs, lobsters, and all sorts of other things that you really, really don't want to step on." He warmed the silver haired dragon before he released his hand and set about searching the area for more shells. This place was harder to find nice shells in as they always ended up getting broken up against the rocks when the current moved things around. There were still clams though to look at, "Have you ever seen a pearl before, Ryuusei?" Ryuusei looked over toward the fish boy before giving a shake of his head, "No, I haven't seen one of those before, why?" He asked, taking a few careful steps closer to him, making sure not to step on any of the wildlife that seemed to have little to no sense of humor from the sounds of them. The fact that they had been described as unfriendly but tasty had gotten his attention. While he didn't want to risk stepping on any of them a part of his really, really wanted to eat some of them... it was likely a bad thing to think about now when Guppy was trying to teach him something but he had a weakness for food... likely as big as his weakness for affectionate companionship, "Why do you ask? Do you have one?" He shook his head, "Lord Leviathan has a few of them, I just ask because we are near to where the clams are and the clams are the ones that make pearls, did you know that?" He reached down to pick up a clam, holding it out to Ryuusei to see. Almost as soon as it was held out Ryuusei was taking it from Guppy, looking it over with wide eyes, "These guys make pearls?" He asked, then held the clam up, "You are so very amazing, Mister Clam! Good job on making pearls, I know that they are very pretty!" He told it, he'd never seen one before up close, just in a book that he had seen before when he was hanging out in a library to get out of a down pour of rain during one of his many walks outside. After cheering on the clam he handed it back to his friend, "Clams are very amazing creatures if they came make pearls all on their own." He said, tail wagging though at a much slower pace then normal due to the face that they were under water and it made it all very slow going. Guppy couldn't help but to stare as Ryuusei seemed to be... complimenting the clam for doing a good job? He blinked a couple of times and then gave a little laugh, unable to help it. The dragon was a rather odd one wasn't he? He was so very... lively even though he'd said that he was being chased by a dragon slayer. How was it that he was still able to be so happy despite that happening to him? Surely he must be scared? But scared or not he seemed to be doing fine with everything that happened, was it because he was a dragon that he was so brave and able to be so strong? Or was it just that he had a strong spirit? He couldn't help but to be curious, "Yes, well... the clam is pretty amazing to be able to do such a thing." He said, giving a smile as he put it back down. He decided that he wasn't going to pry it open and scare the silver dragon in the process to see if the clam had a pearl in it. "Come on, we can either keep going with the shell collecting or we can head back up to the surface of the water and we can dry out on the beach while the sun is still up." Guppy suggested to his dragon companion. Ryuusei's eyes followed the clam as it was put down on the ground before he gave a little smile and a nod, "Hmm... I am not sure, its really nice down here but maybe we should head back to the beach so that we can dry off while the sun is still up and its warm." He murmured, seeming thoughtful enough about it. "We can always come back to try again again tomorrow for more swimming." He offered, just in case the dragon decided that he wanted to stay under the water's surface just because he was afraid he might not be able to go swimming again and not because he wanted to do more swimming right here and now. Ryuusei gave a happy sound, "Can we really?" He asked before nodding his head, "Alright! I would love to go then." He murmured, tail swishing in that slow, slow manner once more before he reached out for Guppy's hand as it seemed to be much easier to move when holding onto the other boy, likely because Guppy was good at swimming due to all his fins, and because he was able to pull him along since Ryuusei was light weight. It wasn't to much longer later that the two boy were sprawled out with a few shells on the warm sands of the beach drying out and relaxing while waiting for Lord Leviathan to return from the hunt that he was most likely on at the moment. As to what he was hunting... well that could be about anything. Whatever it was that he brought back would likely be for dinner though... provided it was an animal he was hunting. (( 2746/2500 ))

Plots and Plans I went swimming with Guppy today... well less swimming and more like I walked along the bottom of the ocean while he pulled me along... but still I was under the ocean! It was the most amazing thing that I have ever seen, to have fish swimming around me in such a manner, I was so shocked! I would love to do it again soon! While we were down there collecting shells we met a clam! Did you know that clams make pearls? They are so amazing! I was shocked! They are such impressive animals so I cheered the clam on which I think Guppy might have found funny... then again cheering on a clam may have well been odd but I still think that it was the right thing to do since it was working so hard! Speaking of Guppy he told me something strange, he said that he doesn't have a true name, isn't that odd? I hope that he ends up finding one for himself... in fact I think that he should pick himself one! What better way to find the perfect name then to pick it yourself! I think that was how I got my name after all, when I was born from the silver star I just... knew my name. So I think he should find one that he likes and take it as his own. Today I think that I am going to go after some shells to give to Leviathan as thanks for him saving me. Guppy says that he likes perfect, unmarred shells. I hope that I can find some that are good enough that they will impress the Sea Dragon Lord. ~ Ryuusei

Curios on the Beach
(( Done over AIM with Ceres ))
Ryuusei had spent a couple of days relaxing on the beach that was owned by the dragon lord Leviathan, recuperating from out running his stalker for days on end. Really it was exhausting dealing with someone like that but now that he was here... well he was feeling much better. There was warm sand to lay on, cold water to play in, plenty of food, and company from both Leviathan and Guppy. It was like a miniature beach vacation... just one that hadn't really been planned for. He was wandering a bit at the moment, sticking to the beach but he'd left the territory marked with the signs some time ago in search of shells. During one of their talks the Zora boy had told him that the Sea Lord had a thing for pretty, perfect, unchipped shells and he decided that the best way to thank him for the help was to find him some nice shells as a gift. So far he found a couple that might work but he was still holding out hope that he would find the perfect shell. He was sure that it was out there, he just had to find out where it was hiding was all, "Come on shells, I know your hiding out there, come out come out!" He said in a sing song sort of voice as he continue on with his searching, nudging sand aside here and there with his feet and tail in hopes of digging one up.
Victoria was a good bit away from the waters edge. She was very protective of her little ones and the last thing she needed was a water related accident. She had spread out an incredibly large blanket and pitched an umbrella for the three of them. The twins weren't doing much, just laying there and looking. Occasionally they would roll over or babble or both. Tori who had pretty much gotten her figure back, and minimum stretch marks was sprawled out in a one piece bathing suit. She wasn't ready just yet to go exposing herself. She was self conscious of her body. It couldn't be helped. This was just her after all. She turned her head when she heard someone approaching. She'd be ready at a moments notice to protect her little ones... but for now she was basically a snake in waiting, ready to strike if need be.
The silver haired boy was moving in a somewhat erratic pattern, going from shell to shell, picking them up to inspect them, and replaced the ones he didn't think the sea dragon would like into the sand before moving on. He passed by Tori at first, giving a glance and a wave, and then he froze in place, back tracked, and starred, eyes huge, "Oh! Ohmygosh! You have miny people with you!" He'd never seen people that small people, in fact he was sure that they were smaller then he was back when he was a dragon even! Needless to say he was shocked and awed by this strange finding.
Tori propped her self up on her elbows. The silver haired boy seemed harmless enough but still it was just that mothering instinct that kept her at the ready when her children were around her. At the mention of 'miny' people she couldn't help but to laugh. Now she was certain that this boy meant her or her children no harm. Although she did half wonder how this boy didn't know what babies were... Everyone knew what those were, or so she thought. It was the where do they come from lesson that came much, much later. "Babies," she said softly. "They are called babies." She did her best to not laugh to much at how ecstatic the boy was. She never thought there would be a person more 'naive' than her sister Amelia. "What brings you to this part of the beach?" She asked. She thought she had found a pretty much secluded spot of beach that not many would travel through or stumble upon.
He took a couple more steps closer, kneeling down to get a better look at the babies before he smiled, "They are so cute." He murmured, they were neat looking babies too weren't they? His tail was wagging behind him rapidly before he turned to look over at the pretty lady and smiled, "I am collecting shells for a Sea Lord, I am trying to find some pretty ones that are good thank you presents." He said, not even thinking about how odd that might sound. "What about you?" He asked, was she trying to get a sun tan maybe he found himself wondering as he looked her garb over. The babies seemed as though they were probably to small to swim so it must be the sun or maybe the scenery that they to the beach for? He couldn't really be certain.
"Thank you," Tori smiled proudly. She loved her babies, treasured them. She was very glad that she never considered any other option but to keep them. Sure at first she'd been scared, and worried that things wouldn't work out. But, things were good now, hectic, but good. "The little boy is Sanqui and he was the first to be born. The little girl is Ixchellia. They are twins." "It was such a nice day outside that I decided to skip school and ditch work. I've been doing a lot of it lately, but they understand. I am bright enough to keep up in school and the work I do is with my family so they are understanding. It isn't like I buss tables or anything. I play the violin at my uncles cafe and help to home school my sisters... Also, my nanny could use a day off at least once in a while," she winked.
He looked the pair over then tilted his head to one side, wondering what it was that was on Sanqui's head but realized that it would be rude to ask. Instead he merely smiled, lifting a hand to wiggle his fingers at the two babies, smiling at them. They were quite interesting, both their size and their decorations, various markings and one even had a skull like design on his face.
He turned to look over at Tori, "It is a really nice day today I agree." Feeling good both over the fact that it was nice outside and that he was free to walk around without a stalker since it would appear that person was afraid of Leviathan, not that he blamed him. He shifted himself to sit down cross legged on the sand to listen while she told him what sort of work she did that she was currently opting out of to play on the beach instead. His eyes got wide before he smiled, "You sound like you have a very exciting life!" He chirped, to think that she did so many things during her day as well as being a Mommy. It was quite amazing.
"There is plenty of unused blanket," she said as she motioned to one of the corners. "And, if you are hungry there is a basket with fruits in it. And, some fresh water." She felt that if the boy was going to hang around for a bit he should go ahead and get comfortable. "It only sounds exciting but assure you it is pretty routine," she giggled. "Do you travel the beach often looking for shells?" She in truth wanted to ask him where he lived because she couldn't help but to feel that he looked half lost and too young to be out and about. Then again she couldn't say much as she did most everything on her own as a kid.

Curios on the Beach: Part Two
(( Done over AIM with Ceres ))
Ryuusei seemed to perk up at the mention of food, fruit wasn't something he'd had for a while since all of what he'd eaten since he had come to the beach had been things that came from the ocean, fish and the like. He gave a smile as he looked over at the basket, tempted to pounce but forced himself to behave. He didn't want to look like a pudgy little glutton as one of his friends had used to say. He gave a smile, "I still think it sounds neat." He murmured, likely because his life lacked any sort of routine he found the routine she had wonderful. Shaking his head the little dragon looked at the shells he had so far, "They are a gift to a nice dragon that saved me from something scary! I heard from his friend that he loves perfect shells."
"My sister, Amelia, spoke of that same dragon," Tori said softly as she sat up so could more easily carry on a conversation with the silver hair boy. "Amelia told me that I had met him previously and that I knew him. But the only dragon fitting the description she gave me was one that I met a very long time ago. His name was Leviathan... And, if we speak of the same dragon then he also likes sharp objects, and princess," she chuckled. She noticed that he seemed 'shy' about things. She'd offered the basket but it was as if he was waiting for a more personal invite. "Help yourself cutey," she leaned forward and opened up the lid. "Just don't drink the milk..."
He gave a laugh and a nod, "Yes, that's him! Leviathan, he is a Dragon Lord!" He said in an excited manner, it wasn't often that one got to meet a someone like that so he felt quite lucky to have been saved by such a person. He leaned over when the basket was opened, reaching inside to pick up an apple from inside the bag, looking it over, then smiled, "Thank you!" He chirped, taking a bite out of it, chewed, and nearly purred over the taste of it. Far different from fish, not to say that wasn't good but something sweet after so long was a nice change.
After he'd swallowed the bite in his mouth he asked of Tori, "Are babies hard to take care of? A friend of mine talked once about wanting to have lots and lots of them!" Now that he saw what babies were like, tiny little people who seemed not to move or say much, he found himself wondering if it would be hard for Bug to care for her lots and lots of them.
"You're very welcome," Tori grinned. She couldn't help but to notice just how happy that apple made Ryuu. It wasn't often that you found a person that excited and grateful over a piece of fruit. Most others just weren't happy with what nature produced. It was a pleasant surprise. "By the way my name is Victoria," she no longer felt the need to say her full name. "It is very challenging. I will admit, in honesty, that my support network make this 'journey' a lot easier than it could have been. One baby is easier than two that are the same age. It is twice the supplies and twice the demands all at once... But I wouldn't trade my experience or my little ones for anything," she sighed contently as she reached over to run her fingers through her little girls hair. "They are really something, and like all things they will grow and change..."
"I'm Ryuusei." He said in response to her introduction, tail swishing behind him and seemed to be listening very carefully to what she was saying about experience. Something that was challenging but worth it he thought to himself.. so that was what it was like to be a parent? That actually sounded kind of nice, maybe he would be in such a position one day... though not a day any time soon since he figured it would be best to fix his own situation before bring a child into it. His tail swished, "I hope that they grow up happy and healthy." He told her, hoping that their lives went more smoothly then his had thus far but with a Mommy to help he bet that they would be alright. After that thought he set to munching on the apple once more.
"Ryuusei is a very pretty name, it suits you silver dragon boy." She hadn't ever met a dragon like him before but the tail was unmistakable. "Thank you. I hope they grow up happy and healthy as well... well mannered and well spoken and not spoiled." Her views on life had changed considerably since she'd brought these two into the world. There was a bigger picture now. It also made her realize just how important parents were. She often times felt silly for her own actions towards hers. "So after you collect shells where will your travels take you?"
Ryuu gave a little giggle at the extra things that Victoria had added to what he'd said before nodding along with her, those were probably good additions as well he thought to himself, "Where? Once I am done giving the shells to Leviathan I think I will go back on my journey of finding my Daddy. I can't hide with Leviathan forever, its not very nice of me to bring all of my problems to his doorstep... well to the edge of his ocean at least. He was already nice enough to help me out and let me sleep there for a couple days." He didn't want to take advantage after all as much as he enjoyed the safety that came with being under Leviathan's wing.
"Do you know who your parents are? or that you part of your quest?" She couldn't help but to be curious. The boy seemed so young to officially have no one but himself and a handful of friends. "When you part take the basket with you. All but the milk. I hope it can help you in your travels to at least keep your stomach filled for a little while." She reached in her bag and found her coin purse. "And may this help you for your lodging," she said as she held out some money for him. "I won't take no for an answer," she said with a smile. "I know what it is like to need a helping hand..."
He nodded, "I met him once before but I lost him... I am trying to find him again but his girlfriend isn't helping, she said she won't share." He murmured, giving a little sigh as he thought about it. He wanted to find the man but it was proving to be exceedingly difficult but he was still determined no matter how much time had passed since he'd last seen his Daddy.
His eyes went a bit wide at the offer, "O-Oh... that..." He looked uncertain, it was really nice of her and she told him that she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer which meant he couldn't refuse, "That is so very nice of you Victoria... If there is anything I can help you with just tell me, okay?" He felt bad just taking from her without giving in return since that was the nice way to go about things.
"Just remember my kindness and when another needs a hand and you are in a position do so for them as I have done for you," Tori smiled. "Like I said I know what it is like to need a hand. It would be wrong of me to not offer a hand when one has been given to me by another. What goes around comes around," she winked. She knew all too well about that last statement. She half wondered if that is why her life took a turn, so that it could teach her a lesson.
He listened closely before nodding his head rapidly, "Yes! If I am able to do so I will be certain to help others." He said, it was in fact one of his favorite things to do, to make other people happy by helping to grant any wishes that they might make in his presence. He tucked away the offered money into the pocket of his pants where it would be kept nice and safe, then finished off his apple eating as much as possible leaving behind only the smallest of cores before he set that down next to him, making note to throw it away when he could instead of leaving it laying on the beach.
His tail set to happily wagging, with the money she'd given him would be able to take good care of himself for some time so long as he was frugal with the money, something that would be quite helpful while he returned to searching for his missing parent.
"Do you like violin music?" Tori asked curiously. She loved to play the violin not only for herself but for others. It wasn't just something she did to make a living... It was her passion. She knew she had mentioned playing violin at her uncles her cafe... and she was fairly sure this silver haired boy wouldn't ever wind up there so she wanted to play for him. That is if he was willing to listen.
Ryuusei seemed to grow thoughtful, violin... he was pretty sure he'd heard someone playing that in the park before for money in the same area that he sometime did his 'look at me, I am so cute while I dance badly' show for coins. He nodded, "I do like it!" He said, tail wagging rapidly behind him, it had always been pretty to him, then again all music was quite pretty even the sort that Guppy was learning was quite nice even though the fish boy was new at it.
"Then I shall play for you," Tori said with a smile as she leaned over and grabbed her duffel bag. She was mindful not to smack her twins with her bag. There was more in that bag than just the common 'purse'. It could easily weigh five to ten pounds between diapers, books, her violin, and a lot more... She opened it up wide, but not wide enough that everything would spill out. "You know I really wish this damn thing would stay organized no mater what... You know like being able to reach in and get exactly what your wanting..." she mumbled as she dug around for her violin.
Ryuusei's entire body seemed to jump at those words, a wish! She'd made a wish! He quickly reached into the star cloud and picked one of the silver stars out, looking it over before he held it out to her, "Here, here! This will help." He chirped happily, how long had it been since he'd been able to grant a wish? It felt like far to long since he was the happiest when he was able to give someone the one thing they wanted so much that they would wish to have it. Tori who had just about had her hand on her violin looked up to see Ryuu's body jump in excitement. Well that certainly was different... then again not. She did have her sister Lucifel who was practically excited all the time, even over the slightest things. Then he held out a star. Abandoning her search, she reached out to except it. She knew it was rude to turn down an offered gift... and just perhaps he was 'repaying' her kindness even though she hadn't asked to be repaid. The moment her fingers were just barely on the star it sorta exploded, kinda like a party favor. There was a mass of sparkle and glitter. It was very pretty. "That's neat," she giggled. It had been a while since she laughed and it felt really, really good to laugh. Once she calmed a bit she went to reach into her bag to find her violin again. To her surprise it was the first thing she came to, no searching in involved. And she was sure that it had sunk to the bottom when she'd abandoned her search just moments ago. "Wow," she said as she pulled her violin case out. She looked over at him curious. There was more to this boy. "I think I owe you a thank you."
Ryuusei watched as the star burst into a cloud of glitter as the magic took effect, enhancing the already magical bag that she carried. He waited to see what it was that the wish had really done and gave a happy sound when her bag gave her the very thing that she was looking for. His tail set to wagging behind him, "Your welcome! Its the least I could do after you were so nice to me." He said, quite happy that he had been able to repay all the kindness that she had shown him with something that would help her out. No matter how simple a wish was if it made a person happy then it was well worth it in his mind.
Carefully setting down her violin case she leaned over and hugged Ryuu. "Thank you! It means a lot to me." She was shocked, and awed at the same time. She wondered if her friend was a luck dragon or something of the sort. To know one was lucky in itself. "Thank you again," she sat up and grinned like a giddy school girl. "The least? That was extraordinary."
"Do you have a favorite song?"
Ryuusei couldn't help but to return the hug, happily snuggling her in return, tail now wagging so fast that the star on the end was just a blue blur behind him. He was in a good mood, no a great mood! A mood made even better when Victoria told him that what he'd done was extraordinary, not a compliment he'd ever been given before when it came to his powers and it had him blushing a bit in a happy and somewhat embarrassed manner, "Your very much welcome." He said, grinning away. At her question he shook his head, "No, no favorites... unless you know anything by Lady Gaga? I don't know to much about the singer but one of my friends sings her songs all the time so they are the only ones I really know by heart." He said with a little giggle, those or the Macarana though he didn't know if that were something that could be played on the violin or not.
She couldn't help but to grin at how excited the boy was. It reminded her a lot of her sister Lucifel, just a lot less all over the place. "I cannot say that I know how to translate Gaga into violin as I've never heard her... so, how about this instead..." She was careful with her case. This violin was a re craft of the one she had come from and it was one of her most prized possessions. Position the violin, with bow in hand she played a few notes until she was sure things were just right. She closed her eyes as she put everything she had into the song. Sure it came naturally but it meant more when you felt more.

Curious on the Beach: Part Three
(( Done over AIM with Ceres ))
Ryuusei leaned in slghtly as she started to play his bright colored eyes going wide, then his tail set to swishing behind him. It was a beautiful song he thought to himself, finding that it didn't take much for him to end up completely enthralled by the sound, how beautiful! His little wings fluttered, his antennae twitched a bit, it seemed as though he were enjoying the song greatly having never heard something so pretty as this before now. This was most certainly different from the music he was used to hearing and even nicer then the muci by similar instruments at the part. He was definitely a fan of it almost instantly.
Tori played out the last note a bit longer than she should have. And finally when she was finished she opened her eyes and drew in a deep breath as if she hadn't taken a breath in a while. By her friends moments she could tell that he liked her music. This made her giggle much like Lucifel would, just without the all over the place-ness. "Glad you liked it," she grinned happily as she sat her violin in her lap.
Ryuu nodded rapidly, clapping his hands when she was done, "That was so amazing!" He said in an excited manner, having never heard anything like it before and was completely in awe. Imagine being able to do something like that? It was just... well he seemed to be unable to find all the right words to describe it other then that it was the best music he'd ever heard played live, "Thank you for playing for me!" He said, tail wagging rapidly, to the point that the blue star had become a blue blur.
Tori though 'gifted' always practiced and worked hard at her 'craft'. So, when she got a genuine compliment it meant a lot to her. "It was my pleasure," she grinned. "You're adorable when your happy," she couldn't help but giggle as .she watched his tail wag excitedly. She glanced over at her little ones to make sure they were still on the blanket. And, also to figure out what they were up to since they had been quiet for a bit. To her amusement they had fallen asleep again. She couldn't believe how much they liked to sleep.
He gave a smile and a bit of a blush when he was called adorable. Only Roxy gave him nice nicknames like that as Mrrh had always called him pudgy or a glutton. He pushed thoughts of his old friend away and then smiled, tail swishing. He turned to look over at the babies before he smiled. They were cute little babies he thought to himself, leaning forward slightly so that he could see them better before he smiled. He could see why Bug wanted children of her own while watching these two, "Do babies not do a lot?" He asked, glancing over at Victoria in a curious manner.
"Right now, no not so much," Tori giggled. "They just eat, sleep, and occasionally roll over. I'm sure in another couple weeks or so they'll be up and crawling. They say when they start to craw is when the real fun begins." She was half and half ready for them to start crawling. She knew the moment they started crawling they would be out to gain Independence. She sighed softly.
"Ohhh." He murmured, so they didn't do much, huh? "Eating, sleeping, and rolling over... sounds nice." He said with a giggle. Imagine only having to do that stuff and nothing else, he wished that he could do that as well he thought to himself. It wasn't nearly so easy as that though which was a shame. Oh well, he was glad that they were able to enjoy a life that easy.
"I can see how it would be fun when they start crawling." He agreed, "They will be able to play with you then." Or at least it seemed like they would be able to do so when they were able to move around on their own.
"Other than the thought of chasing them around the house I am looking forward to it," she said with a nod of her head. "If you don't mind me asking... how old are you?" She had been perplexed by this since she saw him. He looked so young. But, if as young as he looked why was he so alone.
He smiled as she spoke of chasing them around, something that seemed like it might be fun. Her question caused him to think, "Umm... hrm... I'm not sure exactly." He murmured, tail swishing, "I think I aged a lot when I changed from a dragon into this form, not sure how much though..." He knew that he was a lot older then he'd been as a dragon, able to understand more, able to realize things he hadn't seen before, "I can't tell exactly, but I think... I think I am smaller then I should be. I somehow fell like I should be bigger."
"I gather that you don't have a choice of going from one form to another," Tori said thoughtfully. "You do look a bit young but nothing wrong with that. And, think nothing of your appearance... there isn't a thing wrong with you." She smiled. "You could be like sister Amelia. She can from one form to the other. But, when she's a unicorn she's rather plunky. Cute but plunky," she giggled.
He gave a shake of his head, "I woke up one night in this form and haven't changed back... I wonder if there is a way for me to do that." He said in a thoughtful manner. Things had seemed a lot harder when he was a dragon because he was so little... but there were a lot of things that were easier as well. It seemed there were trade offs defending on which form he was in, "I would like to meet your sister sometime, maybe she could show me how she shifts back and forth." That would be nice to be able to be a full dragon again when it was more convenient.
"I don't even think my sister knows how she does it. For her it is a want to do it type of thing. You blink and she's shifted... leaving us to gather up her things and chase after her. She's a very free spirited tot but prefers to be left alone." "I'm sure though that she'd like to meet you... you are calm enough," she grinned.
"Ohhh, I see. How lucky to have a power like that!" He murmured, it sounded like it would be a lot of fun. He really needed to try to figure out if it was possible to change back into dragon form at will. He might have to practice that one soon he thought to himself, tail swishing a bit at the thought.
"I do hope I will be able to meet her sometime, she sounds interesting." He said, finding himself a bit envious of her ability to be left alone as well. He always felt best when he was around other people, was always happiest then. He could really use some training in figuring out how to be a slightly more solitary creature. It would make the days that nobody was around a lot easier. He might have to ask her about that as well were he ever lucky enough to meet Victoria's sister.
"Lucky for her I suppose," Tori chuckled. "But a bit unlucky with us because she is careless and reckless at times. She sees the world as all good and pure and such. To her there is no wrong or black or anything of like." Tori reached into her bag and instantly she had pen and paper. That wish meant more to her than she'd ever be able to express. She jotted down her phone number and handed the piece of paper to Ryuu. "That's my cell phone number. Just give me a ring and I'll accommodate as best as possible because I am sure she'd like to meet you."
Ryuu looked down at the number that he was given before he gave a happy sound, "I will take good care of it, I promise!" He would protect the number since she was nice enough to let him have it." He looked it over before tucking it away into his pocket so that it would be safe, "I look forward to meeting her one day. Thank you for everything today, Victoria." He was more then impressed by her and how kind she was being to him since they had just met. He couldn't help but to wag his tail behind him, all problems forgotten for the moment, smiling away as though nothing could get him down now.
"I'm glad I could be of some help. I wish there was more I could do. But, alas I cannot help you find what you have lost..." She leaned forward and gave Ryuu a hug, like one only a mother could give. "We should all be on our way. The sun will set soon," she said as she pointed towards the horizon. "How about I have my driver drop you off at the nearest hotel so that you aren't wondering around in the dark..."
Ryuusei gave a smile when she offered him a ride and decided not to tell her that he'd wandered around a lot on his own when it was dark or otherwise. Instead he gave a smile, "Thank you, its really kind, but I am gonna go back to where Leviathan is. I can drop of his shells with him and then head on my way when the sun comes up." He told her, climbing up to his feet after returning her hug, "Thank you again, for everything! I hope that we can all meet again sometime."
"As long as your are warm and safe," Tori nodded as she started to gather her things. "Please tell Levi hello for me and share my number with him. I am sure he'll find a way to make use of it." She waved as she watched him walk off back down towards where he'd come from. She quickly and quietly scooped up her kiddos and headed the other direction.
Ryuusei watched as Victoria and her little ones headed out and he couldn't help but to feel the slightest amount of envy for them, wishing he'd had as much luck when it came to the parents that he was given. He shook off the feeling as he picked up the food that Victoria had kindly shared with him, the shells that he'd collected for Leviathan, and he pushed up into the air to float back in the direction that he'd come from so that he could camp out a final night on Leviathan's beach.

Back to Wandering
It had been a nice few days that he spent on Leviathan's Beach, it was like taking a long vacation, lazing around in the warm sand, eating good food, and he had two people to talk with between Guppy and Lord Leviathan. Not to mention that he had been able to meet with Victoria and her tiny, adorable babies. It had been good for recharging his energy and helping to ready him for going back into the world. A part of him really didn't want to go, a part of him knew that he would be... lonely. He would all alone once more and that wasn't something that he liked but at least he felt ready to deal with it again, ready to deal with a lot of things including the dragon slayer that was still lurking out there.
He wasn't sure where he should go next, he half wanted to go to the park again since it was one of the places that he felt the most comfortable aside from the Shop but he still couldn't go back there... not until he dealt with the slayer. He found himself wondering if he should confront him. He knew that it was dangerous, that he might end up getting himself kill but he couldn't run forever and now he didn't want to. He felt as though spending time with a big, dangerous, and intimidating dragon like Leviathan had given him a boost to his courage but now what he had to do was actually head back to town, find his shadow, and attack! ... Course even just thinking about doing that was laughable... after all he was less then four feel talk, he had no claws, no sharp teeth, he sparkled, and he was very light weight. He was as far from being dangerous as was humanly possible.
At least when he was in his little dragon form he had sharp teeth and claws... there were days that he half wished that, like Roxy, he'd grown in size into a bigger dragon! It wasn't that he completely dislike this new form of his but at times he missed what he used to be. It was strange since he used to want for the exact opposite wishing that he had hands like his friends did so that he could do what they did. How strange the way that things changed with time, everything from who he hung out with, what he looked like, what he wanted for, and where he went. When he was a little dragon he was almost always with Roxy or Mrrh, he'd of never thought to go as far away as the beach! Then again he doubted the beach would have occurred to him recently either if it weren't for the fact that he'd been brought there by Lord Leviathan but still.
"Almost to town." He murmured, started to slow down a bit as he looked over his shoulder again. Nothing was really stopping him from going back... he could just turn around and go back, stay with Lord Leviathan and Guppy but he would never get anywhere if he just kept relying on others, kept looking for people to take care of him. Besides Guppy served Leviathan and Leviathan had a deer princess that he'd mentioned on more then one occasion while Ryuusei was staying on their beach. They were another group that seemed complete and he didn't want to but his way in, he wanted to find his own family, a place he belonged, where he would be welcome, wanted, and needed.
He would find it one day so he had to go forward, not backwards, and he would find it. At least in this was he confident.

Sleepy Dragon is Sleepy
He hadn't seen the Shadow Man for a few days and Ryuusei was starting to think that maybe he'd given up when Ryuusei had been carried off by Leviathan the last time that his stalker had been after him. It was such a nice thought, to finally be free of the guy and without even having to confront him! It all seemed to be quite lucky if you asked the little silver dragon. This was the first good step in the direction that he was heading in life he decided.
It would seem though what he hoped for and what Fate had set up for him were two far different things as he came around the corner and nearly ran into the Dragon Slayer from behind. Ryuu lifted both of his hands up to his mouth to keep any and all sounds that came to him from escaping. Sure he had been thinking of trying to get the jump on the guy and sure he had thought that if he were able to sneak up on him that he would be able to do... something. Now that he was here, starring up at the tall man's back, he didn't think that he could do anything. He heard the man talking though missed the first part of what he was saying, looking a little curious and confused.
"... luck yet. No I haven't been able to get anywhere close to him as he seems to run the moment that I get close." He was saying, listening quietly to the one on the other end of the line, "She did what?" His tone sounded a little startled, as though he'd gotten bad news, somehow Ryuu felt... bad. He wasn't sure why, why should he care that the man was getting bad news?
"You want me to what?" He asked, sounding even more startled, "Well yeah, I don't see why not. Huh, well yeah it makes sense but... don't tell him? That isn't going to be easy, having to not only net the kid but also... yes, kid. I left you a message about it... never mind I'm sure that you never got it."
Ryuusei took a step closer to the man, wanting to know what was being said on the other end of the line, it seemed as though the conversation would be a lot more interesting and informative if he could figure out what it was that was going wrong for the man. He half hoped that Darcy was trying to fire the man, that would mean that he would no longer have to run away from him all day long. One less person to worry about would be rather nice, then he would be back to only having to worry about Darcy again which was more then enough for the dragon boy. He drifted a couple steps closer, floating up a bit.
"Yes... yes... I am sure, I just don't want to rush at him since I am sure that it would scare him." He said then blinked a couples times as he noticed a star that came floating on by him. He starred at it before he reached forward to poke at it before his eyes went rather wide, "Woah..." He murmured, sounding a little surprised as he knew what the star was, had seen them before, he turned slowly to look behind him and found the boy he'd been following for a long, long while and he couldn't help but to stare at him.
"Ahh... hello there." He said, "Your Ryuusei right?"
The moment he said that the one on the other end of the line started to ask what he was saying, what was going on, if he had seen the dragon. It wasn't a female voice, it wasn't her, wasn't Darcy... The dragon boy's eyes went a little wide before he floated back a little as though he wanted to retreat again before the man in the suit suddenly took a quick step forward to catch hold of his wrist, "Wait! Don't go!" He said, giving a sigh when he was able to catch hold of the boy though the moment he did he started to get pelted with little stars that burst into sparkles as they hit him, "Ow... ow... hey! Come on, I'm trying to help!"
"Liar! I know that your a Slayer! You won't make armor out of my scales!" He cried, struggling in the man's hold, for the first time ever using his star ended tail to strike out someone.
The man starred openly at the claim before he was struck in the arm with the tail, causing him to drop his phone, "What? Slayer...? Armor?! No, not that isn't it at all!" He said, trying to catch hold of the boy with his other hand but he couldn't hold onto him very tightly since he didn't want to hurt the boy, he seemed so small and fragile... and another smack in the other arm with the tail and its rather solid star end allowed the boy to break free. Ryuusei turned around quickly and floated of as fast as his power would take him, up, up, up, onto the nearest roof where he collapsed into a heap, shaking with relief. He'd done it! He'd escaped from the Dragon Slayer!
At the same time he knew that he'd spent a lot of his stars in doing so and now he was just... so tired. The boy gave a sighing sound as he plopped down on the roof, watching as his stars started to slowly rebuild themselves in front of his eyes. While he waited he dug into his bag, getting out an apple from among the stash of what Victoria had given him to munch on it.
It was odd... the man seemed so sincere when he said that he wasn't a Slayer and wasn't after his scales for armor but... but Leviathan had said that the man was dangerous and surely he could trust another dragon, right? He thought so... but it was so hard for Ryuusei to mistrust people, he would rather trust them instead, would rather talk instead of fighting or fleeing but with the man in the suit he was just so uncertain of what he should do. He wished he could find Mrrh, he would know what to do... Mrrh was the stronger person he knew aside from maybe Gera, Gera was super strong but he wasn't exactly sure on how smart he was since he rarely talked.
What about Roxy? He wondered if she would know what to do... but he didn't want to risk her since she was a girl. He was a boy and he should be careful, should stand strong, and he shouldn't bring his problems to the doorstep of his friends.
"I should go back to the park." Best to hide out in a place he knew well after all. As he thought this he leaned forward slightly, trying his best to fight off the sleepy feeling that was assaulting him and threatening to end up with him dozing off despite his not wanting to sit still for long...

Bad Dreams
He was floating... though not under his own power, instead it seemed as though it were something else, some other sort of floating, he was being... carried? He knew this feeling, the nice feeling of feeling so safe that he could just curl up against he one that was carrying him, that he could doze off in the person's arms, he was warm and he could hear the heartbeat of the one carrying him. His tail set to swishing a bit even in his sleep state as he dreamed of what was going on.
He was a little dragon again, he was being carried along away from the alleyway that he had been born in, away from those mean crows that had been teasing him and trying to turn him into some sort of tasty snack. It had been the worst way to wake up in the world but he'd been saved! He was saved from the murder of crows and carried off to safety and to where he would be given his first meal. It was that moment that caused him to have such an overwhelming and unquestioning loyalty and love for the person that had saved him, the very first person he'd seen after he'd appeared from his silver star.
He also tasted what would turn into one of his favorite foods and what would become one of those things that later in life he didn't like at all. He loved burgers and no matter how pudgy they left him after wolfing them down in his dragon form. They were by far his favorite food until he met and fell for the most magical and delicious food that was called cupcake much later on. The one he didn't so much like was ketchup... his own fault since he'd stuck his face into a cup full of it to eat it and plain it was just... terrible, far to salty for Ryuusei's tastes that was for sure.
Ryuusei knew now unlike when he was little that he was a bit of a spoiled creature back then. He'd been carried around a lot by everyone that he had met, he was fed by them, loved by them, and kept protected from the world by them. Really thinking on it he knew that he didn't really know anything. Looking over at his savior in his dream he could see his bandages around his leg, those ornate markings on his arm. He knew what those were now... before he had asked but it had been so easy to get him to focus on other things because he was so naive and innocent to lead in a conversation. He was pretty certain that his friends could have told him anything and he would have believed them no matter what they said.
Now was a little different, he still felt as though he were spoiled by his friends given that a handful of them had been kind enough to give him a bit of money, to feed him, to talk with him and keep him company, and various other things that they didn't need to do. At the same time he knew that if push came to shove that he could feed himself now, he had a few ways to go about getting coins that were legitimate ways instead of going through with his desired plan when he was little to steal the coins from the fountain. Another thing that he knew now wasn't really real, not the fountain but the Fountain God that Roxy had told him about. He was pretty sure that she had just been trying to protect him from the truth that he was inevitably told, that Mrrh had left the shop and that he wasn't coming back.
The dragon looked over at the hazy, dream version of his friend, it looked more like the younger Mrrh that he was used to looking at instead of the older version that he'd seen during that party he and the others were invited too. His Mrrh as opposed to someone else's Mrrh he thought to himself as he pushed up from where he had settled down on the table, settling down on his friend's shoulders, and he curled himself up around his neck like a glittering scarf. He nuzzled against his cheek in a sad manner, "I'm... mad at you for leaving..." He murmured, the first time he'd admitted to something like that out loud, having always been so cheerful, saying that he wouldn't say or do anything about it, that so long as his friend was happy it didn't matter... but it did matter, "I am mad at you for leaving me behind... Your no better then anything else that threw me away..." He told Mrrh before hopping off his shoulder, landed on the table then hopped off of it again as he took on his human shape.
Ryuusei turned to look toward Mrrh as he shifted from 'his' Mrrh into the one that was somewhere else at the moment, with someone else, 'his' Mrrh was gone now, "I waited for you and searched for you!" He yelled at him, grabbing up his cup of soda to throw it at his friend and it exploded, splashing everywhere leaving the scarred boy covered in the sticky sweet liquid, "I hope you stay gone!"
Ryuusei came out of sleep with a gasping sound, hand clutching at his aching chest, face damp with tears, he sat there for a moment before leaning forward to bury his face against his knees, "Stupid Mrrh..." He muttered to himself, tail wrapping around himself tightly, not even seeming to realize that he was no longer on the roof top where he'd dozed off.
