I'm currently in the middle of playing through VII, I haven't gotten to the part where you get to pick character classes yet, but I love the graphics and not so hot not so cold challenge of the game. Anyway, it's always great to talk with someone who played VII and I look forward to future conversations we'll have on this guild!

I admit I haven't been playing it as much as I'd like as my computer is being bad, but I have cleared the first world and was very pleased with everything so far. I also understand the class system sort of works like DQVI's and I'm very excited about that as that's what made VI so enjoyable for me.

I'm glad they kept it the same way because I loved how the system worked in VI and VII

I've played through the entire SFC version and loved every minute about it. I'm currently playing through the DS version, although the name changes really get to me, the updated standard Zenethian trio remake graphics more than make up for it and the almost not touched difficulty of it.

(Hassan into Carver, and Spirit Punch into Knuckle Sandwich? Give me a break). But I am loving the updated graphics. It gives Dragon Quest VI a whole different feel to it.

Yeah, the Hassan -> Carver bugged me the most, but that's because he was my favourite in the game and perhaps the entire series. Although Muriel -> Milly was kind of bad, I don't know, Milly is just.. not her style, Muriel sounded so much mature. Anyway, since we're on the topic of favourite characters, who is yours in the series? I imagine you have seen a lot of characters in the series from the time we shared talking.

That's a hard question. My favorite would have to be Yangus from VIII. He made me laugh a lot, and I enjoyed his character the most. A close second would be Muriel from VI.

I know I said this somewhere before, but my like V1.0 prehistoric PS2 finally conked out on me so I haven't been able to progress any further in DQVIII, but I did progress the story quite far (up to recruiting Angelo) and enjoyed myself so far. I really liked the music, most PS2 music is hardy recognizable, but DQVIII manages to maintain the epic soundtrack standard of Sugiyama, but in the refined state of the PS2.

It was great talking to you, and I look forward to talking more on the guild!
