She took the yellow shirt and mumbled an "Ok" heading back to change. Seriously, she felt like she was five the way he was treating her. Cal changed into the shirt Mau provided. Her red bra strap peeked from one side. No matter how hard she tried to cover it up, it was still visible. Maybe that was the whole idea?
She opened the dressing room door a crack, to see where Mau had gone. He was out of site so she stepped out cautiously to get a better look in the mirror. Mau was pretty good a picking out clothes. It made her wonder why he was so good at it...

Mau came back with an armload of clothes. Tops and bottoms that could be mixed and matched. He saw Cal looking at herself in the mirror. "That's a good color on you." He said softly. "Green, and most of the cooler colors don't go too well with your skin color." He offered her the other clothes. "Give these a try. See what you like."
He wondered what sort of accessories she would want to go with the items, then had to pull himself from the train of thought. He was going to spoil her if he wasn't careful.

Cal was caught off guard, and she staggered back. She was hoping that he wouldn't return to see her. "T-thank you..." The compliment was noted as she took the clothes and made a mad dash to back to the dressing room. She sat there for a few minutes trying to slow her fast pace heart beat. After a few deep breaths, she went back to trying on and modeling clothes for Mau.

Mau blinked at her then smiled. "Sorry, sorry." He waved her off as she dashed back to the dressing room. He shook his head and stepped away, looking at the racks of jewelry and nail polish and cheep knickknacks that girls must find fashionable. They were kinda bad looking. Plastics, rubbers, cheap metals that would bend or turn your skin green. Ugh.
He shook his head and looked up as a store clerk approached him. "Are you finding everything ok? Looking for something for your daughter?" She mistook Cal for Mau's child.

Cal stood in the mirror, admiring the lovely clothes that Mau picked out for her. Somehow, they felt special. She would make it a point to wear these more often. A big smile was plastered on her face until the store clerk spoke up.
"He's not my father." Her words came out low and threatening. She rushed back into the dressing room to change back to her normal attire; her disposition soon turned sour. "I'm ready to go Mau..." She grabbed the clothes and headed for the registered, paying for the clothes. Tybalt gladly took the bag from her, wondering why exactly she was getting more clothes in the first place.

Mau was about to correct the clerk when Cal snapped and stormed up front to buy the clothes. He looked apologetically at the woman. "Sorry about that." He nodded before following after Cal. When he caught up, he placed his good hand on her shoulder as he walked beside her. "Something on your mind?"

Cal ran a hand through her dark hair, mulling over her thoughts. "Well," she had a lot on her mind, but wouldn't admit it to Mau, "The thing is...." her stomach rumbled a bit, setting her face a flame. "I'm just hungry." Saved by lunch. "Do you know where we could get some food?" The measly meal she had made for herself wouldn't sustain them, but she could save them for something later.
"How's about this. Could you go find some food while I pick up something I ordered earlier?" The shop was across the way with the secret product Mau absolutely COULD NOT SEE! By all costs.

Mau pretty much couldn't stop laughing as her stomach grumbled. "I suppose I could do that. Burgers ok with you?" At least burgers were pretty universal, and as far as he knew, there was something for everyone. And not that he'd ever admit to it, but he sort of wanted a milkshake.
"And will the big guy" he jerked a thumb to her pokemon "be staying with me to help bring the food to a table? Or is your purchase something pretty big?"

Cal pouted as he laughed at her. "That's fine with me." She shrugged, not in the mood for discussing the matter further. She patted Tybalt on his scaly shoulder and smiled, "It's not big, I can handle it." She gave him a smile, "He's here to help, so use him as you need."
Tybalt shoot Cal a sideways glance. He didn't want to go with that man with the funny thing on his arm. He huffed out a little sigh, drawing a little closer to the male trainer and nodding to go along with him.

Mau half shrugged and looked to Tybalt. He somehow had a feeling this wouldn't end well... Oh well. He walked over to one of the food huts, trusting that the pokemon was with him to place their orders. Of course, he had no idea what, if anything, Tybalt would eat. And he almost felt stupid asking, but looked at the pokemon. "And for you?"

Tybalt gave Mau a sharp toothed smile as if to say, 'I'd to take a bit out of you.' He breathed a slightly annoyed "Fer" looking to Cal for help.
Cal cleared her throat, ignoring Tybalt's strange looks. "He'll have..." She reached into her wallet, "However much this will get him. Meat is preferred." She handed the money over to Mau, trying to make her retreat to the store. "I'll join you guys in a sec." She scampered into a sea of people and out of sight.

Mau waved his hand. "You're going to buy something. You can pay me back for his bill later. You make sure you have enough to get what it is you're getting." Since it was a pretty cheap place, he didn't feel bad ordering a couple pounds of meat for the pokemon. He glanced back at Cal. "I'm sure you can find us again after the order is up. Tybalt sort of stands out, aye?"

Cal just smiled, waving back to them to show that she understood. Now she was off to.... Off to, well... Obtain the secret item. It had been plaguing her mind ever since the raid they went on. Nyx's hair looked really cool dyed, and deep down, she knew that Mau noticed her more on the raid. To put it simply, Cal wanted to be noticed by Mau, and she figured that this was sort of the way to do it.
The cashier was a young handsome man, adjusting things on the back shelf when Cal entered. It looked as if his shop just slowed and he was taking the time to reorganize some things. The bell chimed as she entered to shop, signaling the man to greet her. "Hello," He turned to Cal, "And welcome miss." He smiled, giving her his undivided attention,"Is there anything I can help you with?"
Cal nodded, a bit embarrassed to say what she needed. "I ordered some.... Hair dye...." Her voice quieted to the end. The cashier just smiled some more reaching behind the counter to get her item. This guy is too happy... It's just creepy... She took the dye and paid quickly, leaving from the shop in a huff. That guy was creeping her out. She looked over the box briefly, before stuffing it into her bag and discarding of any evidence.
Now that that was through, she skipped to the food court, buying a pair of sunglasses to use as a cover for what she had really bought.

It wasn't to hard to carry a tray that had a couple burgers, fries, and a pair of drinks. Tybalt had his hands full with the clothes Cal bought, and the meat for his lunch. The table Mau picked for them was on the outskirts of the food court, giving Tybalt plenty of room to sit, stand... whatever with them.
He waited for Cal to join them before he'd start eating- it was only polite. He looked up, scanning the crowd now and again for Cal. When he spotted her, he nodded to her as she approached.
