★ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ [ Lt. Ginger Pepper ] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ★ That actually wasn't too bad. Talking to that man that is. Why did she tend to avoid men again? Oh right. Pigs who only care about your tits. Well, maybe she should give Neil a chance sometime! He seemed nice! Until he ran off without warning... Ginger walked out of the lighthouse and watched him leave. Didn't even get his number or know how to contact him again to hangout sometime. Well, maybe next time. Right now, Ginger had something else in mind! To date a man, maybe a really nice one. Oh that blue haired boy, Kade, was really nice to people. He would make a good boyfriend! At least to see how being with a man was. Ginger thought as she walked away, to go back to her shop.

As I approached the lighthouse, I could feel my heart beat accelerating. It was already night, a little pass 9pm. Why was I being brought here? What did those two girls, Celest and Habanero wanted with me? More importantly, wanted with catrina. She had never hurt anyone or anything! Well, nothing that wasn't a mouse or a bird, that is. Sometime flies too. Oh, and fishes... Okay, she was like a wild animals, but those were no excuses. I set foot inside the dark lighthouse. Well, as dark as a lighthouse could be. The beacon on top flashing every few seconds. "Anyone here?" I called. I was five minutes late, surely it wasn't too late.

The shrine from the top floor of the lighthouse sparkled – yes, sparkled. What? Magic can't have any sparkles now? What happened to the old ages where the only way to tell if something was truly magical was through a random glitter?! Ah, wait, that concept probably went out the window when people started using body glitter.. And some fairies. Really, sometimes she didn't understand Orchid. Regardless, back to the sparkling. As it insinuated, something magical did happen! Something that one could easily guess by now with that whole fairy excerpt a few sentences back. Hyacinth, the Lightning Fairy, was already out and about, lighting her old lighthouse as she did every night. There weren't many boats coming out these days nor as many fisherman as there used to be, but she was a creature of duty and habit. If the Goddess gave her something to do, she would continue her work until she was told otherwise. There was room for breaks, though, as proven by the fairy turning to approach her shrine. The sparkles only meant one thing to her. A visitor. She supposed someone finally listened after Stocking Day! This was a delight, even for her. She landed carefull on the edge of her shrine and stood there for a moment. ..Robert Murrow?
“Not any one,” She spoke with barely any effort, though her voice did manage it's way down to where the man stood. “there are several 'any's in this place, including myself.” From the top floor, she studied the air before going on. “If you're here to see me, Robert, come upstairs.” Magic or not, she didn't like speaking to her first visitor in years through something that can be considered a telephone.

A mysterious voice made itself here only a moment after I talked. It was reasoning all around me. It took me a moment to understand what was happening. Surely, there were microphones and speakers being used right now. Just what kind of people were here? What kind or organization? What did they wanted form me and Catrina. I was afraid to know. I was afraid of the truth... but I knew I had to go on. I couldn't be a coward and leave. This was my job, my troubles. Whoever that "me" was, she was surely the ring leader, the key to this whole trouble I had found myself in. As a made my way to the second floor of the lighthouse, my hand went instinctively to my gun. I knew there was danger waiting for me up ahead. I had to be ready to face it....
However, what I saw was that last thing I was expecting. There was nothing. No one. No, I lied. There was something. Something shining in the middle of the room. Could it be that those speakers from before where there so whoever was talking to me, another woman, of course, was somewhere else? I approached the shining object, awaiting instructions or something.... what was this all about?

The little fairy studied the man as he came up the stairs, though she knew well enough what he looked like, dressed, name, age, everything that one shouldn't know if they hadn't met. But, she was a fairy, what could you expect? The first thing she noticed – if only consciously this time – was the gun. She raised an eyebrow and spoke in that same, clear tone that such a small set of lungs couldn't have made.. well, not usually, at least. “Oh, please put away the gun. Someone may get hurt.” She was, of course, referring to the rats, shrine, and the lighthouse itself. No way a bullet could kill her! She was a freaking fairy, what did he take her for?!
Oh, right. Hyacinth almost forgot~ Mortals didn't believe in her nowadays. She bet his feeble mind was blacking her out so he didn't have to take it in~ Pity she didn't care much for fragile minds. She lightly kicked off from the edge of shrine to raise herself to eye level with the man. ..In fact, she was almost touching his eyes. At least now he couldn't possibly block out her presence! “Hello, Robert.” She stated in a lowered tone to make this easier on him! Not because she found it amusing that he may be a little frightened of her now~

As the voice told me to remove my hand from my gun, I did so. I did not want to get shot for refusing to listen to the order from the female speaking, whoever she was. She could see me, I couldn't see her. I couldn't take any chances. Gun belted, I raised my eyes only to come face to face with the biggest dragonfly I had even seen. By now, I was getting used to all the exotic animals living on this island, and the giant dragonfly wouldn't have phased me, if it wasn't for the fact that it talked. That was it. I was going crazy. Even more so when I noticed the... face. And clothes. At first, my expression was one of shocked, but quickly, I understood what was happening.... I had heard the stories, but never believed in any of them Who would? I raised a finger, and poked the tiny flying thing. "You're a fairy"[/colour] Yes, I had stated the obvious, but that was what a detective's job was all about. "What have you done with Catrina? You want to use her as a sacrefice?" What else would a fairy want to do with a kidnapped child. Where Celest and Habeno humans working with her, or fairies under disguised too? This was all... Strange.

“I hope not.” Hyacinth replied, frowning as he poked her like he did. Yes, smart, Robert, poke the fairy! Believe in all those children's stories where they weren't flesh-eating mongrels who sought for vengeance for the dead creatures of the forest.. Ah, she missed the seventies. She smacked his hand with as much force as a little hand like hers could put out – which.. oh, who are we kidding? The fairy smacked his hand to send a painful jolt of electricity through it and up his arm, ending somewhere around his shoulder. Just as a warning not to mess with her, even if it was a simple poke.
“I believe you misunderstood my letters. I loathe your sister, but I don't want her sacrificed to me.” Then Hyacinth would have her soul trapped with her forever! Oh, goddess, that was a frightening thought. She would rather have all the horrible children be dumped somewhere she could avoid easily enough.. “..Is that why you came? To 'save' your sibling?” She raised an eyebrow, which was probably hardly noticed by the man considering her size and how dull most of the humans eyes were. “Nothing more?”

As the fairy put her finger on my hand, I could feel the shock going throught my body. I had to say, I never felt that much electricity between me and a woman before. It was quite... electric. There was a spark between us! I was shocked. I looked at her, in all her seriousness. She was a small woman, but she meant business. Those were the only kind of woman I trusted. They weren't trying to hide their ways behind mask of sensualities. They went right to the point. They were more dangerous, but so much more trustworthy. I put a hand on my chin as I thought for a moment. "No! I came here to inspect the various occurrences happening around the island; my sister just being one of them." I started to pace, left and right, paying only slightly attention to the small, but so dangerous woman walking next to me. "Too many deaths. Too many people disappearing. Too many unnatural factors happening. This lighthouse having electricity, the ruins being as intact as when they were first built, the great amount of rare ore in the mines, the water being drinkable everywhere.... None of this are supose to be normal phenomena. I was led to believe in a secret organisation runned by those woman, but it would appear I was wrong. It was all your doing....you.. and your sisters! If I am to believe the local folklore, they are various fairies... you must only be one of them... Which means... the someone, somewhere, must be trying to find a way to use your power to help them taking over the world! I blame Gaston. Or Miss Habanero. Or Both.

Pacing! Just like a true Murrow! Hyacinth followed with a nod of approval at the man's actions. But, she didn't have much to say on what he said. ..Disappearances? Was he referring to the two kidnappings? The murder? Ah, that was Orchid's and Lily's mayhem, wasn't it? Daffodil was also partly to blame, now that she pondered it. But, that wasn't what was meant to be at the forefront of her mind right then. She had a follower to handle! A follower who was certainly on a path, but not the right one. “No one is capable of harnessing our power.” She informed him bluntly to cut any of that nonsense out of his conclusions. She looked at him for a long moment in contemplation, having to decide on how much she should tell him to truly 'guide' him. She hadn't had to deal with a follower in decades, considering most of hers were too busy to visit her. ..She didn't forgive that, though, as that meant they had a poor scheduling skills to not fit her in somewhere!
Finally, she spoke. “Don't focus on what isn't within your definition of 'natural'. I don't think you should be so naïve either, Robert, but I will not tell you more on that. I will simply say that the disappearances and deaths are not linked, but the causes behind both are not humans to be trifled with.” She wouldn't tell him whether he should do it or not – that was up to him to take a risk. She fluttered back to her shrine, leaving his side, “I think we're done. Should you require any further help, advice, or a cup of tea, I will always be found here.” With that offer in the air, she disappeared in a sparkle of dust, while the lighthouse continued to run as per usual.

Bright eyes looked up the length of the lighthouse dubiously, then dropped back to the wrinkled peice of paper that was lit by the light of the cell phone held in her other hand. The light timed out and the paper went dark. Sighing she tucked the paper and cell into her back pocket. It wasn't like either could overcome her horrible sense of direction.
Celeste gave a little shiver in the gentle night breeze, but it was more for the night then the breeze. Celeste never had been a fan of being alone in the dark. It was only in the lonely dark that she found herself softening toward her crazy Aunt's beliefs, which made her hate it and them all the more. Clenching her jaw she stepped toward the door at the base of the lighthouse. If it was locked she would just turn around and run home. If not, well then maybe she got lucky and this really was a general store.
The door opened smoothly under her hand and she stepped inside looking around blankly. Staircase it is. She made her way slowly to the second floor rolling her eyes at herself for continuing on with the charade that their would be a store up there. Oh well, onward and upward.
She stepped onto the second floor landing and looked up from her feet to see a familiar man and a small movement that turned out to be some dust, though rather sparkly dust, flutter to the floor. Her eyes swung back to the man, widening when she realized who it was. "Oh." Was her intelligent greeting as she was still surpised to see him there when she had expected no one.

Before I had the time to ponder what that fairy had just told me, she had disappeared. Poof! Vanished into thin air. This was all very strange. What did she meant by there? It was not for humans to think? That no one could hardness the power of the fairies? Then... what had been my purpose? Why was I here? I needed answers and I was just getting more questions! I had enough! I was about to swear when a voice called behind me. I returned to meet a familiar red head. "Celest...?" I called in half a breath. What was she doing here... but then again, I had always believe that her and Habanero had been behind everything, but then that Fairy told me that... "OH! Yes... of course! I shoul have thought about that sooner!" How could have been so naive? The fairy had told me a moment ago to forget what was normal for me! She had disapeared and then Celest had appeare! It was evident! The fairy WAS Celest! It was a human form! Then...Habanero must've been one too! That was why nothing existed on her! It was my mission... I had to help them in whatever their plan was.... "This isn't where we should be, isn't?" I asked her. She would tell me where to go and I would help her. I will resolve this mystery.

His quiet questioning tone as he said her name had Celeste's surprise slipping into concern. He didn;t sound very good. Was something wrong? She stepped forward, litfing a hand in worry but stopped short when Robert kept talking. He seemed to have pulled himself together and sounded much more normal as he obviously came to some sort of conclusion that he should have come to sooner.
She tilted her head questioningly, curious as to what her presence could have made him realize. But he seemed to be thinking a million thoughts a minute because his next question through her for a loop. She wasn't really sure what he meant by his question. Sure, Celeste hadn;t meant to be up in a light house... well mostly hadn't meant to be up in a light house... but Robert was sounding like he thought the two of them should be somehwere else together.
Celeste shook her head as if to clear it then looked back to Robert, her eyebrows drawing together to show her confusion. "Uhm... no. I guess not." She said slowly. "Though, being in the wrong place is sorta normal for me... bad sense of direction remember? I was actually looking for one of the shops, but as you can see... this is definitely not it." She gestured to the whole second floor of the light house, then brought inquisitive eyes to Robert. "Why are you up here? I doubt your sense of direction is as bad as mine..."

Was my sense of direction bad? No, not it wasn't. It was always leading me straight into trouble. I could always count on that. I didn't quite understood what she meant by that. Perhaps a code of some sort? Perhaps, when she was under human form, she really was different from her fairy counterpart. "I was supose to be here a moment ago, but that moment is now gone, and I must be somewhere else!" I told her with a sure nod of my head. I put both of my hands in my pockets and made my way in her direction, stopping right next to her, but looking in front of me, pass her. "I was talking to a fairy, but surely, you know that already." I said, jokingly. Of course she knew that, it was her! "Tell me what shop you are looking for. I'll help you find it." I offered my help. There was a reason why I was here, and I would go see the end of it. I would go wherever that girl was leading me too. I knew she was leading me into troubles, but what could I say. Trouble made life interesting.

Celeste smiled at his logic. It was a bit twisted and made sense if you took it at face value and it sounded exactly like something Neil might say. And that resemblance between the two made her smile. Not to mention his answer in itself was rather amusing and totally not an answer.
She smiled at him right up until he mentioned the fairy. At that word the smile faded quickly from her face and her eye even twitched! She clenched her hands into fists as her whole body tensed in reaction to the one.little.word.
He was making fun of her! He had to be. He must;ve talked to Freja and they were both having a laugh at her. Celeste's cheeks heated in embrassment and anger. "That's not very funny." She said through clenched teeth, completely ignoring his offer of help. "And I don't appreciate you and Freja laughing at me like this." In fact, she was a bit hurt that Freja, who had seemed so sweet and shy would be that cruel. Or that Robert, the honest upstanding PI, would stoop so low.

I turned around to look at her. An eyebrow raised, I could not understand what she meant by that. "Who's Frey-yah" I just had to ask her. I was confused. A private investigator like me should never be confuse. The closest we can be is drinking whiskey in a sleazy bar on a rainy night. "Should I know that Frey-yah of your's?" I asked her in confusion. Was that woman an other fairy? How many faries were there anyway? That was something I had to figure out. "That's a fairy shrine..." I told her as I pointed toward the small shrine. Maybe Celest didn't like to be called a fairy.. maybe there was a better term that I did not knew about. Or simply.. perhaps... She just wanted to keep her identity secret. That would make sense. Yes, of course. No one else than me should know about that. Why else would she had transformed if she didn't want to be incognito? I raised my head, taking in the air of the late evening. This had been a strange day, really. "Is this Frey-Yah place were we should be going?"
