Uh, I play bass and I have an Ashdown MAG300 head pushing an Ashdown MAG410 cab. That, and a Behringer BX600 which I despise.

I should be able to pick up a small tube or hybrid amp this summer, once I have a job. I can't stand the thought of using my Behringer 15 watter for any longer than that x_X

ever since i was 16 i've had a full time job I think between playing guitar and work there my favorite things to do. But witih working alot of hours i'm also losing on playing time. I do like the money though so i can always buy things i want. My gibson amp is alright its a small 10 watt amp i bought from target.

Well. I play through an old Stagg 30W bass amp.
I then turn the bass and low mid up full. Scoop the high mid and turn the treble down to half.
My guitar goes through a Zoom G2.1U and a Danelectro FAB Metal.
Sounds sweet as hell biggrin

Unfortunately tubes don't come cheap. I suppose the sumer job will help immensely though. Just have to decide what I want to buy.. I don't need anything too terribly large as I don't play live or jam with anyone...
it WOULD be nice to have that option though... I suppose I could use a tube amp with an attenuator but I would need a half stack for that...
EDIT: Oh yeah, 1500th post in the GGG smile

The Valve king is an affordable and good soundling little rig. If there's not enough gain there for you, you can always stick a pedal in front of it. There's also the classic line that they have. It's a fantastic little amp for blues, and if you wanted to push it, I'm sure a distortion pedal wouldn't hurt it at all.

Its a big possibilty.
