In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, da Vinci and the Renaissance. The Trumpet's brassy, golden, bright, and smooth sound it just... just... Ohhh~
In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, 500 years of democracy and peace and what did they produce? The cuckoo clock.

Favorite..... The Barimba!(I'm sure none of you even know what that is without looking it up) :3
In all seriousness though, the Cello, Timpani and the marimba are my top.... and maybe the piano too... as well as the bass guitar... and guitar. This thread insults my equal love for all instruments. xd

I can't play it and wish I could. The pipe organ. I don't think there is an instrument on the planet that can reach the range of this one. From Charlie Chaplin films to Phantom of the Opera to the creepy/beautiful themes we get in our videogames these days, the instrument is just amazing.
In fact, one of the things that I really love about San Diego is the fact that we have the worlds largest working pipe organ. I believe it is in the San Diego Concert Hall and it's actually built into the building. The entire auditorium is one gargantuan organ, with the pipes built into three different sections of the wall. Craziest thing of all, it sounds absolutely beautiful, with an enormous range, and yet it's only 35% restored. I can't even begin to describe how literally awesome it sounds, and when I think that it's not even fully capable that seriously blows my mind.

It's such a tie for me between the piano and electriv guitar. They can be so freakin epic when played well. mrgreen I want to learn to play these.

They call me a band geek...Out of the instruments I play, my favorite are bass clarinet, bartione and tenor saxophone, they all just have rich sounds, and it's all so beautiful.
Out of every other instrument, I love the bassoon, and the cello. I like the lower instruments really, and I do love saxophone and flute. And I'm proud to say I am.

I take pride in the Baritone. I love the sound my silver four-valve makes when it's played, it is literally the best souning baritone at my school. I love how no matter what note I play, it always come out nice, full, and amazingly loud. The only instrument with even half that...no word for it...but even so, is the Tenor Sax, the voices of the instruments are similar.

TUBA : Call me odd, but out of all the instruments ive played over the years, i cant help to think that none could match the smooth low brass sound of the tuba. (IF DONE RIGHT!)
