Sin was feeling pretty good about this whole maze thing, she had managed to get this far after all. Then she froze and felt her chest tighten, oh no...oh no what was THAT? She heard a deep rumbling growling noise, and it was close, too close. Relax Sin, relax, she told herself, could they smell her fear, were they eating it? Then she realized that whatever it was had noticed her, and dear sweet jack it was trying to get to her!
She turned and spotted a flash of red and white through some of the mazes hedges. Oh no! She turned and ran almost tripping when she realized the creature had found a way behind her and was on her tail! She burst out of the maze her chest heaving and not even daring to look back. Why couldn't she just have a nice relaxing class?

Creature Features was hardly at the top of Sarias 'most wanted' class to take but since starting the academic year a little later than usual she had to take what was given and this just happened to be open to the newer members of the school.
"A maze? Dear Lucifer these teachers are running out of ideas." Sarias grumbled as she made her way into the apparently offending task. It was mere moments before the entrance was lost to sight but a new one had entered her view. There before her was an imp, a horrible creature Sarias had no time for, although its high pitched whining did beg a second glance.
"Ha! you have something stuck in your foot? Pathetic thing, that will teach you." She stated mater of factly although who knows what lesson Sarias was referring too. "I guess you need help with that don't you?" Its big eyes pleading with her as its bottom jaw trembled it offered the injured foot out towards the ghost in a hopeful manner, any soul would have wept at the sight. "Well tough!" and with an air of disgust and a well placed kick Sarias turned heel and continue to walk down the maze.

No luck on the one straight line thing. But there was a small, defenseless imp in need of help.
Which he'd probably have to wrestle down and figure out whatever was wrong with it. Luckily, he knew the solution to this puzzle.
Pets just dealt with injuries on their own, right? Eventually. Or they died from them, which was nature and it was best not to interfere.
This maze was hard. The exit better be right around this next corner.

Tess hadn't thought she'd need help in managing her minipets. Her rainbow unicorn had been a sweet little thing, even if it did like headbutting her school supplies a little too much too often. But with the arrival of the mytrax crystals, Tess figured she could use a tip or two. So she entered the maze in search for the professor.

Twitch wasn't quite sure what to think about this maze. On one paw it could have something cool in the middle. Maybe even something shiny.
On the other it was a flippin maze and despite his rodent heritage he was not a mouse or rat trained to run through a maze to get some cheese. Nor could he exactly smell out shiny things to find his way through. Crud.
Still, he was going to at least try and hope beyond hope that he eventually found his way back out. So the were-gerbil strolled his way right in...and ran smack into an imp. An imp with a splinter in it's foot. What.
For a moment he paused, wanting to help but not really being sure what to do. After another moment of consideration, Twitch reluctantly handed over one of his glowsticks and continued on, leaving the imp to find out how to pull the splinter out.
Hey, giving up a glowstick was a big deal!

So first a shack, and now a maze.
Giving a light shrug, Jack figured all's fair in love, war and classrooms, and . . . god-damn I'll write this at work.

"What the hell do you mean you don't like my riddle you craggy faced buffoon!" If the creature before Sarias didn't appreciate her at the start it certainly didn't now. Throwing a stony fist against the side of the maze it roared its detest at the Banshee as she hop, skipped and jumped back the way she came. "Well i guess creatures of a large size doesn't mean they had the same sized brain capacity! Horrible, horrible thing." She hissed as she made sure it wasn't following her, a few quick glances over the shoulder and she was home free again...well, still in the maze but distinctly less boulder filled.
"Well.....what the heck do i do now?" Should i go back? *Huff* No Sarias! Don't be as stupid as the creatures walking around here, that thing will tear you to pieces and it seems to be the only way...hmmm what to do, what to do..." Sarias was right about two things that day, one, her dress did make her look fat, and two, she was as stupid as the creatures around her, her loud voice happened to attract the attention of Brecks hounds.

Barth regarded the rock with a growing feeling of this maze is never going to end.
Oh good, more puzzles. Which was fine, because Barth had a great story in mind. With eloquence (mumbling) and poise (slumping) he told the most important tale that came to mind.
"There was this kid who wanted to get this maze over with, so the talking rock let him through."
The rock apparently thought he was telling some sort of clever metajoke, and rolled to the side.

Tybalt had signed up for the class in hope to see several new creatures. Unfortunately there were none in sight. What a let down. Though this didn't seem to be a complete waste of time. There was a neat maze to explore and he had always wanted to try one. To top it off, this one seemed pretty well made. Hopefully he wouldn't get lost...

Whether or not the glowstick helped the imp wasn't -too- important, Twitch was currently feeling pretty good about making it to the next step. Maybe this maze wouldn't be so bad!
Or maybe this maze would throw the extreme curveball of a huge stony boulder wanting a story. What in the...
"Once upon a time." ....Who was he kidding, he didn't know any good stories. "There was a gerbil who very much wanted to get through a maze. Unfortunately for our hero of this tale there was a tiny...very non-threatening imp in his way. This imp was hit with the very horrible splinteritis disease and had horrific hunks of wood protruding from his foot. It was -terrible-." Twitch nodded his head, doing his best to be very convincing. "So our hero parted with one of his beloved glowing sticks that would heal even the most insane of diseases. And the imp lived happily ever after while the hero moved on to the next weird part of this maze."
And...that was all. Hopefully the boulder didn't want a long story.

Entering the maze, it only took about ten steps before he almost stepped on the first obstacle--an imp... An injured one at that. Oh what a bother. The stupid thing was even whining!
With an exasperated sigh, the black dog snatched up the imp and observed it's foot. "Oh hold still." He growled as the creature squirmed in his grasp. "Jeez! you have hands of your own. Try plucking it out yourself next time." He grumbled; setting the tiny critter back down on the ground, now that the splinter was removed. For Jack's sake, the splinter wasn't even in that deep.

Growling? Barth wasn't even going to bother. Exit, stage...er, whichever way was back.

He made it past the imp, but now he was staring down some boulder. Only what's worse was---it talked! He had only just turned around the corner and literally jumped about ten feet into the air the moment it had spoke. Only the real problem was, it was demanding a story or a riddle.
Oh? Oh, well s**t... This was a problem indeed. Among the many things the black dog was bad at, story telling and riddles were one of them! He didn't even know any good ones... Hopefully the boulder wouldn't mind him making one up on the spot. Ah well, he was just going to have to wing it and see the results afterward.
--- Insert Tybalt's half assed story here ---
Quite a bit of time had gone by but from what he could tell, the boulder had accepted his story and granted him passage through to the next round. Finally! This was staring to get tiresome.

Apparently giving up precious glowsticks and telling sort of lame stories would only get you so far. While he did make it past the boulder (no idea -how-, that story really sucked) he wasn't destined to make it further.
It only took a bit of rustling and a ferocious snarl to turn Twitch on his heels and hauling butt back -out- of the maze. Hey! He was a were-gerbil. Things could and WOULD eat him! He wasn't going to stick around to see if whatever that was had a taste for rodent flesh or not.
