So I'm using Carl as my guide this time around, and I get about 3/4s of the way to the forest/desert fork, and Carl goes on a killing rampage. My entire crew died. The message seriously said,
"Carl suddenly goes on a killing rampage.
Your entire crew dies"

I found Sam a bit hard because she put transmission fluid in the food every other landmark ><

Just tried it with Sam... I just had plain bad luck. Every time after I went hunting, something would make me lose food. Kaneharo died in the zombie/cannibal thing that doesn't seem to work right. Gear was afflicted by several diseases and shot with a poison dart by some kids. Sagi was in poor health when we got ravaged by vampires or something. Entire crew got health decrease. Wielder and me bit the dust within a day of each other after Sam threw out the remaining bits of our food to feed the birds.

aww I'm flattered that I got a char named after me XD. Hopefully I didn't end up chasing a moth off the boat. I already finished all the guides. My advice for Carl is don't kill the antelope/deer thingies, they're his family and he likes to get revenge.

Aiusagi aww I'm flattered that I got a char named after me XD. Hopefully I didn't end up chasing a moth off the boat. I already finished all the guides. My advice for Carl is don't kill the antelope/deer thingies, they're his family and he likes to get revenge. Don't worry. Gear was the one who chased a moth off the boat. You died because your health got significantly decreased when you were already at poor and I was trying to get to a new hunting spot.

Finally made it through! Apparently my ignore all possible purchases other than bullets strategy worked!

Buying bullets is the best thing. Finding them too. You can get 100lbs of food for 4-5 bullets in some areas. Paying 25loot for 10 bullets is perfect, instead of for 50-100 food.

Bullets will solve everything, except rampaging Reindeer captains who determine that it's best to kill the crew off approximately 150 miles from the jellyfish god.

I started my adventure today. After going the long route around the forest, but through the volcano into the next place, three of my Crew members died. Demos was a cannibal, I smothered Hegard for fear of him being a zombie, and Spotty decided to chase a moth off the boat. It's down to me and Sarah, with not much ammo or food. Don't think we're gonna make it.

A great tip. If you notice, some things happen again. If you remember stuff and the right choice that will help you, that can keep you alive. Like at the tree for example. Dont cut it down. Just leave it...luck is now better

Left the tree as it was. Don't think I've made the right choice on any of the other major check points though.
