As the flaming weapon was reduced to embers and specks flames to flicker out of life, it was an outcome that Ski hadn't been expecting. However, she rather liked this outcome instead. The half-demon didn't move from her spot as the girl backed off and began to circle her.

She was trying to make Ski uneasy by circling her, she was sure. But the scythe wielder was the predator here, not the girl, who by appearances seemed human. The teal haired thief was not intimidated in the least; Ski just stood there, weapon at the ready. The question though was a surprise.

"Tch....hardly girlie..." Ski droned with a smirk, the raising sun illuminating her pale grayish skin and sparkling in her onyx eyes; off her pearly fangs. "The only real special thing about my scythe is that it's formed by my magic...but it has no power of it's own. It's the wielder behind the weapon that gives it power."

At it was true. Ski's weapon was only special in that she can create it out of thin air by magic, but also use magic to manipulate it. However, only she could do it, and out of her hands it was just a normal scythe, with a teal colored blade.

Slowly as the talking came to an end, Ski watched the girl intently. Taking note when her expression became more determined and where her eyes went. As well as what she was doing with her fingers. Ski knew the spell was coming before the girl had screamed the spell out.

The stupid firing bullets were once more being fired at her it would seem. Ski clenched her fangs and let out a snarl. This was the hardest of attacks to dodge or block from...though not impossible. She wanted this to end though. So it was Ski's turn. Quickly, the half-demon conjured up a lightning spell. It was the one that went with Tempest Rein, but without the uncontrolled wind.

Snapping her ebony eyes open, Ski unleashed her spell. "Heaven's Discharge!!"

Instantly it was like a lightning storm had appeared all around the two of them. Striking ground and stone alike, it was only Ski who kept the lightning striking the flaming bullets rather then a person. As the lightning and flames met once more, she was prepared for the explosion, but the explosion was what she needed as a cover. It was reckless, but it wasn't like she cared.

Leaping forward, the half-demon leaped into the flare of flames and lightning. Her target on the other side of the wall of explosions. She dodged a few stray debris and flumes of flame, never getting struck more then one. Course that once was bad enough, a portion of a bullet had zoomed past Ski, ripping into her shoulder and collar bone to the point that the bone itself could be seen. As blood flowed quickly down her arm and side, she kept moving, bursting from the flumes of smoke and fire. Leaping at the girl, Ski let out a growl and swung her scythe. The medal staff connected with the girl's skull, with enough force that Ski knew for almost certainty she was out cold. Course not hard enough that she wouldn't get up again.

Now standing above the girl, Ski stabbed the sharpened end of the staff of her scythe into the ground. The spells finally dieing out behind them to reveal the devastated area, the marks of the lightning matching those on the roof.

"You should have run..."
Ski hissed out, staring at the brave yet stupid girl as she clutched her bleeding right shoulder in agony.

Her skin crawled, and her instincts shouted for her to escape. The storm that came to blast above them not only frightened her but made realize - in that moment- that she was out of her league. But she couldn't stop now or she would surely die.

Explosions of fire and electricity boomed at the sky, but she continued blasting for as long as she could. But she was fearing for her life now. Maybe that was why her commander told her not to attack..she wasn't that experienced in battle. Her heart was racing and she was now firing with closed eyes. But the turbulence of the blasts caused her to open her eyes and witness her opponent soar through the battlefield.

She's suicidal!Eunice cried to herself finding herself unable to speak to herself. Defeat came to her conscious quickly then and she stopped firing just as soon as Ski was feet away from her. In that second she was staring at the most frightening thing that seemed human. She's seen monsters and little demons but this one seemed far different. Her dark eyes, curved horns and grayish skin; the teal hair that Eunice adored fatally wounded by what she saw as a monster. She glanced to where the roof attendants were to see that they were gone. No one was there and no one was coming to save her.

Time stopped and even before she felt the blunt of the scythe crack her skull her eyes rolled back. Lifelessly she fell toward the ground and bounced a couple of times, the red of her blood darkening her natural flaming hair as she twitched from the blow.

Seconds passed until Ski herself descended, and right after she put her scythe away five individuals surrounded both Eunice and Ski with hands outwards to them.

"Demon Seal: Rend!" They shouted in sync.

Their bodies lit up in different colored powers, all shooting at the area above Eunice and Ski in pyramid form, the gravity inside suddenly increasing into bone crushing degrees. Eunice, though unconscious, cried out and as if nothing the skin of her body was beginning to tear away from her into particles of energy and blood that was being drained into the five SSDD members. Within seconds, Eunice's clothes and all were pulled from her body until she became nothing.

Being human Eunice couldn't take the seal which was meant for at least B rank demons. Her body was too weak to handle the weight on her body, and her energy far too inferior to the power. Normally the spell would only drain the victim's power, but if held too long in the seal the body would disintegrate and disappear as witnessed, or if their power was inferior to the caster's.

At the sound of spell casting outcries, Ski's head shot up from the girl she stood over. Instantly going from passive to offensive in a spit second notice. Course that split second would possibly cost the half-demon.

As the four individuals glowed a different color and hearing their words, Ski knew she was in trouble. A seal...they were performing a seal and she was feeling the effects quickly. But what really surprised her was that they were performing the seal with their comrade inside. The girl was still alive damn it! Didn't they want to save her instead of kill her?!

Watching the girl and her screams were rendered to nothing, Ski saw that they didn't care. It just pissed her off more.

Now though, Ski could feel the massive weight building. Baring her fangs, she tightened her grip on her scythe. Fighting to keep standing and the pain the seal was causing. It made her instincts run wild and her demon blood bumping. It was taking almost everything Ski had to just keep the seal at bay; she hadn't run across this kind of seal before and wasn't sure how to beat it. And she was running out of time. With her loosing blood and tired she wasn't at top condition.

Soon, the teal haired thief was forced to kneel; one knee resting in the grass as Ski clung to her scythe. "I can't lose like this...I didn't do anything," she hissed out. "Haven't stolen anything...."

And still the weight built coming with it more pain and agony. Ski biting her lip to keep from letting out a pained cry. Instead she let out a cry of anger that was tinged with pain instead.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!!!"

In the same instant she was fighting back though. Dark shadow like lines that swirled like vines formed around her eyes and curling down her face. At her feet...ebony shadows played like flames; unaffected by the weight of gravity.

Ski always promised herself she would survive, and if she had to...fight to the bitter end. So she would ride this spell out if she couldn't fight it.

"Let me...OUUUUUT!!!!!"

Neither of the SSDD spoke back, their concetration solely on keeping the seal fortified but with sweat running down their faces it was obvious they were struggling themselves.

Their arms were straining and their muscles were aching from the build of energy that they were pushing. The light of their hands intensified further to increase the gravity and strengthen the spell two fold. But others couldn't take the pressure.

With a burst of force one of the caster's was shot out of the barrier that they formed before them, their body itself burning away into ash and energy that was wasted away in the air. Undettered by the loss of an ally the SSDD strengthened the seal by only a fraction more to replace the loss.

She is strong..but the more she struggles she will die.. Len thought to himself from above the university roof. With the power that the one he knew as Ski and the false SSDD they surely couldn't have notice his presence.

He witnessed Ski's power crawl through her body and combust to flames at her feet. She herself seemed to be getting weaker but with that little ouutburst she had sent one of the caster's out of their pyramid and unintentionally kill it. It's life was forfeit to begin with.

Another one of the dobbel gangers was weakening, the skin of their arms tearing away with jolts of electricity. As strong as these demons were their bodies wouldn't be able to contain Ski's power alone. They already lost one and they were about to lose another. Feeling generous he would wipe away one more.

In a violent rush frost swirled beneath his feet, ledges of the unstable roof instantly freezing over from the sudden drop of tempature. In a silk-like motion the frost swirled around his body, following a guide hand to the top of his head to materialize into a cold-hard spear, the tip formed to that of a claw. Without delay or hesitation and a flick of his wrist the deadly ice sculpture flew.

Within motion the spear sprouted icy wings in a beautiful glimmer of ice that the light reflected off of, not only impaling his target but cutting the top part of its body. It instantly fell to its knees with surprise. With a final cry out pain it's body burst to reveal a brute massive figure of a cat-like hybrid before it's body disintegrated to a skeleton then to ash. Seconds after that the weakening SSDD lost both of its arms in a explosions of lighting and energy, the flesh tearing from the arms to the body to reveal a human-like creature with dark-colored skin before being whisked away by the wind much like its allies.

"..There we go.." Len murmurred. In that moment both SSDD members turned to him, their eyes burning away in a fiery flame to reveal their true cold dark eyes.

One dismissived itself from the spell, to the surprise of the other "SSDD" and in a violent run began to approach him. Len couldn't grin. He actually felt pity. The demon was strong but stupid to rush in like that. Was it confident in that it's partner would hold the barrier, or did it simply run at him in a mad frenzy? Whatever the case, he was now busy.

In a surf of materialized ice formed at his feet Len retreated back to the damaged roof and waited for his own enemy.

The pain was beginning to intensify as time continued on. Where it normally would have reduced a grown man to tears, Ski remained dry eyed; eyes narrowed and fangs clenched. She refused to shed a tear, but she would fight on. Pushing back...by sheer will-power letting her magic cruel and push at the seal that was bearing down on her.

She could feel it weakening, but not enough. But to the half-demon's surprise, she felt one of the pillars of the barrier die. The spell back-firing and reducing the person to ashes. Ski thought she would have the upper hand then, but the other replaced the power soon after and she was left with little to have been gained.

"Damn it..." she hissed out.

Ski thought she might have been fighting a lose cause with these guys. However, out of now where, she heard an out cry of pain. Pain that wasn't associated with the seal taring the body apart. A scream like that came soon after and from the corner of her eye, the girl saw the man transform into demon. And the cause was unknown as another pillar of the spell left, leaving but one.

One Ski could deal with.

Squeezing her eyes shut, and clenching her fangs, Ski concentrated. Welling her power up inside, letting it swirl and expand. Letting it build up and fill her up like a jar being filled by water. Continuing to hold it tightly till she could no longer keep it leashed. One final outburst of power should be able to blow both the seal and the wielder away.

So she let lose her power with a loud battle cry. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"

Without support the seal itself was beginning to crack and shatter in flakes of energy, the force that he was keeping within what remained pushing against his stand.

Half of his face disintegrated away, its silver skin plain in sight as its human skin tore away. Unable to contain Ski's power it was not only pushed from its stopped but its body parts were blown clean off until they were nothing but bits of life; the pyramid seal now exploding in a flare of harmless energy that shot into the sky before raining down and fading away.

The demon was could be known as a Berseker demon. The human hide that it masquerader as long gone. Its body was bulkier than usual, but the structure was human like. It had tiny horns protruding from its forehead with pointy ears ready to poke an eye eout. Its eyes, dark with hatred and anger constantly glared at him as Len continued to glide away from its attacks.

It never spoke, but often roared at him. Red fumes wisped away at its body, and it's breath was raspy and rapid. It's power was brute force; the roof victimized from its power - smashed and crumbling. The only way it still stood from falling into further floors was the cold sheet of ice that Len used to make a roof. Suprisingly enough it didn't seem to affect the demon's movements. But he wasn't worried.

With another war cry the demon rushed forward, each step it made grinding Len's artwork for a floor.

Len finally landed and awaited for its opponent. It leapt at him in an attempt to tackle him down. But it wouldn't get the chance.

In a twist the icy floor sprouted out and struck through the demon's stomach. It cried out in pain but even with the short distance between him and the demon and it's feet inches from the floor it reached its hands out to claw at Len's face, each attempt only causing its body to slide down the shaft of the icy spear and increase the hole as it slid to the core.

"I could have lost if you had more smarts." Len lectured, raising a hand to capture the demon in a handsized frame. "But you don't. Farewell." With a grip an icy wind surrounded the demon and with a clasp crushed it in a dome of ice.

-----

Len stepped towards the edge, keeping his distance from where Ski was just in case. She managed to save herself from the demon but at what cost her display would have surely taken a toll on her not to mention she fought against the seal.

He leapt of the buildling, his trench coat flapping behind him on the way down until he stopped his landing with a disc of ice at his feet.

"You're the one who I met at the registration.."

In a flash of light everything seemed to stop for a moment. Ski thought that for a moment this was the end, she had fought and failed to free herself from the seal. But as the light faded, darkness replaced it and with the darkness came the weightlessness and the agony of her injuries and exhaustion.

She was alive...for now.

Panting heavily, Ski fell forward on to her her one good hand. The hand connected to her should shoulder just laying useless on the ground beside her. Still bleeding and a puddle of deep ruby-maroon blood forming. Ski didn't care though, she was struggling to catch her breath and stop her limbs from shaking so badly. She felt weightless now that gravity had returned to normal, but at the same time her wounded frame felt so heavy.

Too concentrated on herself, Ski never heard the roars of the demon on the roof. Nor the fighting going on up there. The teal haired girl only rose her head when a voice rang out to her. Slightly familiar, she turned her head with agonizing slowness. Finding herself staring at the guy from the weaponry earlier that day through the strands of her hair.

At his observation, Ski gave a slow small nod.

Determined to make it too her feet once more, Ski dug the spike on her scythe into the ground. Using her one good arm and her weak legs to push herself shakily to her feet. Clutching on to her scythe for support as she stared and panted at the stranger. The world spinning as she stood there; Ski feared she was going to pass out soon.

"Yea...the name's Ski..." she wheezed out, struggling to cover up her exhausted voice. "And what's the name of the guy that interrupted by battle? I had everything under control I'll have you know," she said with a bit in her voice.

The answer to his earlier question was clear as he stared at her laying body. She was weak, and tired.

In slow flight he closed in on her as she began to push herself up. Despite her injuries and her current state of exhaustion she refused to stay down. Given the situation he thought it was pointless to act tough. She should have stayed down to let her body rest. Even then she couldn't stand straight and on her own without support from her weapon.

He stopped in front of her, purposely kneeling down to sit on his heels and look up at her just so that in case if she fell he would catch her. From here, and so close, he observed her breed and it wasn't one he saw commonly. Unlike many this one refused to mask her appereance as a simple human. Was it pride, or because she didn't have the ability to?

"The name's Len," He answered, staring at her. Like her he didn't fear to show her his one unnatural eye; the part of the eye that was usually white was nothing but black, and the only part that would catch attention was the floating devilish red pupil that would move the same way as its opposite eye, which was a normal brown. "You shouldn't force yourself. You're weak; is there somewhere you want me to take you?" He asked, his voice ever sad even to himself, low and nonchalant.

As he advanced on her, Ski tensed a little out of instinct. She was hurt and wounded; exhausted to the extreme, if he chose to fight her for whatever reason. The thief knew she wouldn't have lasted very long. But he made no advance to, but rather when into a neutral stance kneeling down and staring at her. Staring at her appearance as it was...her half-breed appearance.

"Len...I know I'm a freak but you wanna stop staring," she droned back, confirming his name as she too stared at his peculiar eye; though not at all unsettled by it.

As his statement of her condition, Ski scowled and gave a silent snarl; mostly out of frustration. He didn't have to point the obvious out for her...but neither was she going to admit it; stubborn in her ways as it was.

"I'm not...forcing myself..."
she forced out, still trying not to pant. "I'm just a little beat up and tired; I've been in worse shape and survived."

Trying to prove her point in her determination, Ski vanished her weapon and stood there. Though hunched over slightly and her hand holding her bleeding and gashed shoulder, the thief did manage to stand. Even though her legs were so obviously shaking from the strain she was putting on them.

"See...I'm fine..."
she stated firmly in an airy voice. "...I don't need you to take me anywhere..."

He shouldn't have laughed at her comment but he did chuckle softly, finding that 'freak' thing just outwardly hilarious. One of the first times that he's laughed in a while.

As she tried to struggled to stand he stood without much effort at all, his hands warm within his pockets while he watched her further force herself. He didn't have to look at her body to know how far she was pushing herself; her eyes told him more than enough.

"There's no one here to prove your resilience and endurance for pain. Even demons have to know when their limits are being reached," He lectured but did turn away. "But have it your way. Since your so confident I believe that there was truly no need to help you. Sorry for interfering and good luck in the tournament." You'll need it - now that the SSDD are corrupted as well.

With a side-wind of ice he swooped himself up in another disc of ice, turning to face down at her. "Can you give a message to Dark for me?", He asked, "And tell him that he should be wary of his allies now, and you should also take that advice for your own. This town isn't what it seems to be anymore."

And that fact was to his disapointment. When he escaped Sanctum his only goal was vengeance but now with Ian and the rest of the demons that infiltrated Sanctum it wasn't the same. It wasn't fair and he didn't approve of what happening..his soul wasn't saved. And now it couldn't be when the ones he wanted dead were either already or tainted.

Len sighed and looked towards the sky above them. The air was chilly, and it would snow in the night. He could sense it, even smell it..if only she was here with him he could enjoy it.

At the chuckle, Ski scowled a little through her pained expression. He was laughing at her...more so at her words she suspected, but still. The half-demon didn't like being laughed at in such situations. She wasn't even considered a funny person anyway.

She was about to tell him off for it. But then he was standing as well and speaking up. And added to laughing at her, he was now lecturing her. Lecturing Ski on what her limits were and comparing them to a demons no less! Making her sounds stupid for acting so stubborn! He didn't know anything about her, let alone her limits.

"My limits...are when I'm dead," she growled out with a strained voice. Showing weakness was a weakness in itself. It invited in more trouble, so Ski had to be strong at all times.

With his apology and good luck, Ski watched as he flew up and away on a disc of ice. Hovering there to give her a hell of a length message. To a person she hadn't a clue of. She had heard the name Dark all over the city...in the worst and best places. And Nate...Nate had mentioned a Dark one time. But how was she supposed to give a message to a guy she hadn't even met.

"Hey..."
she yelled a cloud of steam coming from her lips from the outburst mixed with the chill air. "I don't know any Dark! Maybe you should take that damn message to him instead! I'm no one's errand girl bucko!"

Still trying to be strong out of habit, Ski took a determined step forward. However, her determination gave way to more insult to injury. Her knee buckled and her leg gave out, which was soon followed by her other leg. Both of them far to weak to hold her weight any longer, not that she was that heavy to begin with. But now though, Ski collapsed to the ground in a flurry of long teal hair. Lifting her good hand, she tried pushing herself; managed to get off the ground a few inches before what strength she had left vanished.

For once Ski gave up and just laid there defeated. "Damnit..." she breathed out, feeling the chill grass prickle her exposed skin.

"Figures.." He muttered to himself, turning back to look down at her. There weren't many people like her in this town, but seeing as how she registered he thought that she was a regular. How wrong he was. She was nothing but a nomad.

Surfing through the air he once again lowered himself to her in time to watch her collapse, his stare confused and yet astonished. If I leave her here she's bound to be picked up, by friend or foe I can't say. But I can't take her anywhere. I wonder if she has an apartment. Probably not..

He hoped off his platform and without her wanting to or not he picked her up with more effort than he thought. "..You're heavy.." He sweated, throwing half of her body onto his disc before rolling the rest of her until she lay flat on her back. "..Please tell me you at least know someone in this town. How about Nate? You think you know him enough to count on him?" He asked, waiting for her to reply. With her body betraying her he hoped that she wouldn't fight against his help. Complain was a sure thing but to fight or put a struggle he hoped not.

She heard him come closer and hop down from his disc thingy. The sound of shoes on grass close to her. So when he felt hands picking her up she wasn't surprised. Neither did she complain but Ski did grown a little in pain. The movements forcing her shoulder and the gash there to move and grind together.

At Len's comment of her weight, she huffed arrogantly. "Am not...you're just weak...besides, with this amount of blood lose I should be lighter anyway..." she said in a rough joking manner.

Flung onto the disc and the rest of her rolled on, the thief groaned again. Len wasn't exactly being gentle though she didn't expect it either. Ski had no strength to resist. Barely managed to the strength to vanish her wings even. But laying there she stared at Len with heavy eye lids.

"Nate...he already took care of me once; I'm sure he's trustworthy enough to do it again..."
she stated softly. "...but I've caused enough trouble for him. I have a nest in the Northeast part of the city..."

Thinking hard, Ski worried that telling Len where she resided would bring more trouble, but thinking on it, she needed medical attention. Something that would not be given at her Nest. All she had there anyways was some bandages, the bare necessaries of medicine and alcohol. She would need more then that to take care of her gashed shoulder. And she would need to rest for a while...in a place like that it wasn't the safest.

"Damnit..." she said threw clinched teeth. Why didn't she just stay at the tavern? Why did she refuse to socialize with so many people?

That's right...because they would always end up dead.

He wondered if she was sensitive about her weight. Though she was a demon she was female, too, and they were often sensitive about their way. He knew that his love was. He didn't push it though.

As she lay there and stared at him he stared back. It looked like she would pass out on him at any time. She looked weak.

His stare moved to her shoulder, and the bone that was revealed. She might not die but she does need to be treated. Sanctum needs a hospital..I"m surprised they don't have one yet. He thought.

"So that was you..," He said, sprouting another disc of ice beneath his feet so that he could take flight as well, "I knew someone was there but I didn't know who it was.." He paused, "You shouldn't nest there. It's dangerous."

With a hand he cupped her shoulder, an extreme chill flowing into her as he began to constrict the blood vessels to stop the bleeding from overflowing. If he the ability of fire this would be much easier but ice was all he could do. This would only stop it for a while.

"Nate's a nice guy, I'm sure he'll help you out. Do you know which room he has?" He asked as he began to make their way towards the living quarters, using his power to command the discs that they rode to take them but at a slow pace. Despite her urgency to heal he felt no rush.

((might wanna redo that profile pic...I don't think I'm dealing with Dark right now xD))

She watched as he stared back with his miss matching eyes. Watching as his eyes went from her face to her shoulder. Ski didn't say anything, just lay there in a rather irritated manner, though not complaining overly much. Keeping silent, the thief noted as they took off in a moderate pace.

"It's the best place for me...I'm not bothered much; it's secluded for the most part...and I can deal with whatever happens there. A run down part of down is the only fit place for a thief."

Ski wasn't prepared for the hand on her shoulder, and jerked a little at the sensation. However, feeling the chill set in, she let out a small his of pain. It wasn't very painful but it hurt still, that is before the numbness began to set it. Len was doing what he could for her...and even that was more then Ski asked for.

"Nate's room is on the first floor, room four...." she droned struggling to keep her eyes open. "Memo to self...stop ending up as the damsel in distress..." she grumbled to herself; trying to keep herself awake as they went to the living quarters.

Nate was going to have a surprise when he got home.
