Alex recrossed his arms in front of himself the air render taking a chunk out of the armor he wore on his arm. A thin line of crimson crossed the already heavily scarred skin. Frowning to himself Alex rushed forward once more with his blade at the ready position. It darted out with a precision that Alex had yet to display in this fight. It was still a mere stab but its aim was impeccable. If nothing was done it was likely to pierce Grim straight through the heart.

Grim moved to the side, but the blade managed to slice just below the armpit. Grim Rushed Alex, in a half slash, half tackle designed to hurt and knock his opponent back.

Alex responded swiftly. Dropping his left arm down he twisted his body as he propelled his right armored arm into the side of Grim's blade knocking it to the side with a punch. As Grim continued his rush Alex then turned the punch into an armored back hand that would slam into the side of Grim's face.

Grim adjusted to the blow to lessen the impact, rolling with it but keeping the distance, gathering light into his gauntlet to pound into the ground in a Saint Cross.

Alex grimaced as he was blasted back by the flare of light. His armor managed to prevent his right arm from incurring any further damage but the rest of him was now sporting a variety of light wounds. Brushing some blood off his face Alex decided to stop fooling around. He flipped his sword around into a reverse grip and sheathed it as he got some distance from Grim. Despite not making any further offensive moves Alex wasn't surrendering and just to ensure Grim didn't think as much he made the typical 'come get some' gesture.

Grim walked forward slowly, his sword low, his body relaxed. His steps brought him closer until he got within a certain distance, his slow amble turning into a lightning fast Blitz (Fighter).

A grin crossed Alex's face as a spear suddenly materialized in his hand which he thrust straight at the onrushing paladin. He was aiming towards Grim's midsection and bracing the long weapon with both hands.

Grim stopped suddenly, reaching out to grab the spear and yank it forward to try and pull Alex off balance.

Alex let himself get tugged forward before suddenly releasing the weapon and summoning twin short swords to his hands. The one in his left unarmored hand was thrust straight forward at Grim whilst the other one was swung in an overhead slashing movement.

The thrust opened a wound on Grim's side, though the overhead slash was blocked. Grim dropped the spear, twirling and unleashing a close range Backdraft.

Alex thrust his armored hand into the way of the incoming flame wreathed blade. Dropping the blades he wielded he covered his face with his unarmored hand and weathered the brief storm of fire with gritted teeth. Before the flames could fully clear he had already launched on the offensive once more launching his armored fist towards Grim's midsection the metal glowing slightly from the heat of the flames. The smell of burning flesh easily reached both combatants' noses but it was evident that Alex was no stranger to burns given how he had weathered the attack.

Grim took the blow, his armor absorbing most of the impact, and swung his blade down into the ground, unleashing holy power in a Saint Cross.

Alex was blasted back by the burst of holy energy but he quickly summoned a large warhammer to his hands which he brought down in a mighty overhead smash aimed at Grim's head.

Grim threw his shield to the side, drawing his second blade, stepping forward, stopping the blow by crossing his blades and stopping the hammer right at where the handle met the head.

Releasing the hammer Alex summoned twin short swords which he stabbed with to the side of the warhammer's falling shaft and under the location that Grim's swords currently were.
