Arya stepped closer to them, amused that the luminescent blue and black one did not want to play. However, this other lighter tan male seemed ready for a fight so he focused his attention on him.
"So ready for a fight eh? Let's see what you got!"
He circled around the male hissing and clawing, waiting to make his first strike but before he could step any closer to the male, the strange two legged creature jumped in front of him, with a long blade pointed out his snout.

Miko dropped her pack from her back, leaving it in Heliosyne's claws. She jumped in between the two males. For whatever reason no one was going to come between her new friends even if this Di'Taki could tear her to shreds. Her hunting instincts had overwhelmed her as she squared her blade toward his face. At least she had Goldmoss behind her if anything were to happen she was sure he would step in, he seemed like the fighting type. Everything was silent, no wind, no rustle from the trees. Miko stood still, shifting her gaze into one of the eyes of there foe. Thinking that she was perhaps the cause of this newcomers anger called up to him. "Leave us alone! If you've come for a fight, leave them, take me instead, I'm the one who doesn't belong here." As she looked up at him she couldn't help but feel something inside her. Compassion a connection? She tried to shake the feeling off and focus on defending her companions.

Arya could not believe his 10 eyes. This strange little creature was going to try and fight him? He flexed his muscles, well it sort of looked like it would be a least some of a challenge. He took his eyes off the other male and looked down towards the creature. Disgusting? he thought, but somehow the words didn't come out of his mouth. Hmph.
He growled, "Impressive, a small thing like you would stick up for a creature like me."
Arya had never seen such an act like this before, it almost made him jealous, of this creatures inherent like of risk and danger. Edging closer, he took another look around at the others to make sure they weren't going to attack. No one was moving. He could take this little creatures head off with one strike. He snickered, raising his claws in the air. Then a gentle breeze rustled through his feathers, he smelt the creature before him, it was like a breath of fresh air, almost calming to him.
He dropped his arms, and backed up.
"I..." he stood up straighter not to admit he had been won over by this little pip squeak.
"I admire anyone that stands in front of danger for something they care about. I assume these other Di'Taki's are your f..friends? The word came out cautiously, how could these Di'Taki be traveling with this thing? He bowed slightly.
"My name is Vajracharya, but I go by Arya, and I will not hurt you or your companions." He smiled wide trying not to look as vicious as he was. "I was merely looking for someone to play with, a good play fight, a little rough and tumble, nothing serious, he laughed."
He straightened up and turned to the other males, "Brothers, I meant no harm, I am young and often looking to get myself into trouble, where are you all headed?

Cyranis could feel his legs shake under him as the human stepped out in front of the attacking male, brandishing...something. Whatever it was, it wouldn't defend her for very long. He watched, paralyzed, as the stranger raised his claws to rend the human in two - this was it, and...wait, what was he doing? Was he backing off?
By now, Heliosyne had grabbed the human's pack and scrambled off into the brush, her ruby eyes peering out of the darkness at the terrifying scene. What was the mean Di'taki going to do to Miko?
Listening to this 'Arya''s words doubtfully, Cyranis hissed and growled again, "Well, perhaps some of us don't appreciate nearly getting clawed in the maw." He frowned, eyes narrowed, clearly unwilling to accept an apology for such an affront. He stepped a bit closer to Goldmoss, hoping for his support.

"come on, you never play fought when you were a young one ah what did you say your name was brother? He looked at the black and blue luminescent one. Cocking his head to one side, and scratching his feathers with his claws.
"Say what were you doing coming that way on the path anyway? And how did you come across that two legged creature with the long black hair? What is it?" he whispered as he eyed Miko.
"So ah where you all headed and what are your names? I haven't seen you around here, have you lived in the deep woods long. I've only lived in the deepest, darkest parts. This is my first time venturing out near the Adahy lands. Did you go there, is that where you are coming from, and why would you venture to such a place? I here they hate us, despise us."
Miko had backed away from the group trying to follow after Heliosyne in search of her pack. It had all her stones in it! Without them she wouldn't have anything to offer the elders! She would be torn to shreds! Where did that female run off too?

Heliosyne was hiding in a nearby bush, quivering, the pack tucked securely under her paws. Was the scary mean Di'taki going to hurt her, or Miko or Cyranis? She whined and ducked her head, tucking her nose into the pack. Somehow its scent was assuring.
Cyranis was taken back by the other male's lack of eloquence. 'Brother'? I am not your brother! Regardless, the luminescent male replied through gritted teeth, "Cyranis. We're off to see the Elders, since this human apparently feels like being eaten today," he turned to look where Miko had been, but now she was searching for something. Weird little creature. He turned back to Arya.
This thing...it seemed to be similar to Heliosyne, except nearly the opposite. Instead of being unable to speak, he spoke way. Too. Much. "The female you may have saw a second ago, before you scared her to death, was Heliosyne. The two-legger is Miko. And this is Goldmoss," Cyranis gestured to the braver male nearby. "I was just going to Lake Ha'tooka to look for rocks. I wouldn't associate with those creatures." He hissed under his breath, clearly disdainful towards the Adahy.

Well that's reassuring then collecting rocks and that you weren't visiting some Adahy friends, he laughed. Not that I've ever seen an Adahy myself, still pretty young in these woods, sorry if my energetics alarms you, I do like to play! Arya ran a circle around Cyranis. Didn't mean to call you brother, just a friendly habit I have, for the most part haven't met anyone I didn't really like enough to not call them my brother, but I'll just call you Cyranis if it upsets you. Hey we should go find that human and your female friend wherever they went off too, better not leave them alone in these woods.Miko caught up to Heliosyne. There you are, you little rascal! Why'd you run off with my pack? And get your nose outta there silly girl, you've already drooled on it enough. She reached her hand carefully toward Heliosyne. It's okay, the big Di'Taki said he's not going to hurt us, though he does like to play a little rough, I think he's just become an adult and doesn't know how to act around others. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for. She could see Heliosyne quivering, and wanted to brush her feathers in reassurance but also didn't want to get her hand bitten off. Tell you what, come out from their and I'll let you hang on to my pack for me while we travel? I'm sure they're looking for us, and I'm sure Cyranis needs some more rocks to be found.

Feeling a bit more disarmed by Arya's apologies, the male felt his feathers lay a bit flatter, returning to their regular position. He certainly was energetic, which fit with his story of having just come of age. Finally, he spoke again, "Yes, you have a point." He stood and began to walk slowly in the direction of the human and Heliosyne, none to fast. "Heliosyne is a bit slow, but she can take care of herself somewhat. She's made it this far," he remarked off-handedly to his companions.
Seeing Miko approach and hearing her kind words, the Di'taki pulled herself from the pack, holding onto the top with her teeth. By now she'd lost her rock and forgotten about it completely. Her mouth full, all she could do was slip from the bush, rub her now leaf-filled feathered crest against the human's torso and bounce off to Cyranis' side.
Cyranis noticed the satchel in her jaws, then looked up to Miko. "You sure you want her to carry that? She's rather forgetful. And she tends to over-salivate."

Miko looked up to Cyrannis, "uh you may have a point...oh well she seems to like it so much, I can always make more jewelry on the way anyhow."
Arya looks at the female, sorry to scare you before Heliosyne is it?
Miko looks to the group, seems we lost someone, well shall we travel on ward, I wonder how far it is to the deep woods, we haven't even reached the river yet, we've got a long way to go, and I should probably hunt soon. Shall we carry on Cyranis?

"Of course. It's still awhile, so there's always the chance that our companion may return." Cyranis begins to lead onwards again, aware now that the night was waning. There was a tiredness in his bones as the day threatened to break within the next few hours. They would have to rest for the day soon. Heliosyne nods vigorously at the male, the pack jingling faintly as she does so. She eases up to him, a bit more cautious than normal, and sniffs at his shoulder before following Cyranis' lead.

Miko strode behind them picking various berries and small fruits from the trees near by keeping an eye out for small game that they might be able to have for dinner. She wasn't exactly sure what the Di'taki ate, but the Adahy ate mostly wild fruits and vegetables. She kept an eye out also for the glowing rocks which seemed to be appearing since night was falling. The coming of night frightened her and she wondered if she would even be able to sleep in such a strange and changing place. She decided then that she would keep watch during the night if the others slept, she wanted to make it to the deep woods!
Arya ran up ahead and then would run back to the group thrashing through the trees and bushes, sometimes stopping to get some good claw marks in the trunks of the trees. He couldn't help but keep to look back at the strange two leg, and he was almost showing off for it. "Blah, weird," he thought. It was the first human he saw, and to stand up to him like that really impressed him. Either way the creature seemed pretty harmless. Night was coming quicker than he had expected.
"Hey Cyranis, he called back, we should probably make a stop for the night, it's going to be getting dark soon. There's a clearing up ahead with some few trees, how bout we rest up there, maybe the two leg can tell us some human stories!" He laughed.

Stop? At night? Cyranis turned his eyes from the energetic youngling to the human, and then back again. He usually slept during the day, but he supposed that that may have just been him. "Alright, we can stop for the night." But, wait. Where did humans sleep? He could just sleep under a bush and Heliosyne could be hanging from a tree by her claws and still sleep, but what about Miko?
"Miko, where is it that you sleep?" But by the time he had asked the question, Heliosyne had already staked out a local by the side of the road.
Setting down the pack, she bounded back over to Arya, grinning with her usual enthusiasm. "Name?" She hadn't been around when he had introduced himself, not that she would remember his name by this point anyway.
With a sigh, the male pads his way over to Miko, looking up at her. "Will this area be comfortable for you? It is safer to stay along the path, than to wander into the forest."

"Well, I usually just sleep under the stars, our family has a tent but at this time of year it's gets pretty hot in there, and my father isn't one for smelling to pleasant. So, I usually go outside and sleep in the grass. It's nice watching the glow bugs come out at night. Along the path would sounds fine to me. Although I don't know how much sleeping I'll be doing seeing as this is such a new place to me."
Slightly ruffled by the strange female Arya backed up slightly as she almost ran straight into him. He hadn't been around many females before, and he was glad he was not interested in this one as it seemed to belong somewhat to Cyranis. Good luck, he thought in his head, but he did enjoy her drooling and enthusiastic expressions. "Ah..my name is Vajracharya, but you can call me Arya." He said smiling.
"You know you and Cyranis are some of the brightest Da'Tiki's I've ever seen! It must be hard not to loose sight of him." he said to her laughing. Looking over to Cyranis he said,
"Oh ya the path, yes it is safer, I just thought the field would be a good idea, we could watch the glowbugs come out, and some of the forest creatures have started to glow!
"Hey Miko!" He called back. "Are there glowbugs where you come from?"
Miko looked slightly confused at him. "Um yes, actually I was just talking about it with Cyranis, I also like to watch them come out at night."
She felt rather strangely toward this Da'Tiki she had heard of connections between Adahy's and humans before but she did not want to think more about this. It was just a coincidence she told herself and turned back to Cyranis.
"Well it looks like the path then don't want to take any chances, we'll rest for a while until daybreak it's only a couple hours anyway. Let's hunt for a bit around here before we settle in, what do you all eat? She looked around at them.

"Arya..." Heliosyne seemed almost entranced by his nicknname for a moment, before uttering, "Yes, he's glowy." It was probably the first time in her entire life that she'd said a complete sentence. She stood in silence as he addressed the human, but her four ears swiveled forward, interested, when he mentioned the field. "Glowbugs?" She wiggled a bit with excitement.
"Ah, glowbugs. So many stories..." He trailed off for a moment, remembering just a few nights ago when Heliosyne had followed one into his den. It was a strange occurrence, but he had grown some-what used to her oddity by now. Cyranis noted that she had a family - she must have been very typical for a human, or else they would've exiled her. He wondered briefly if any of her siblings had been abandoned, or whether humans were like the Di'taki and rarely had children.
"Meat. We can eat fruit as well, but..." The male made a disdainful face, clearly not enthused about the idea. "I hunt best during the day, for obvious reasons - I'm not sure how well I'll be able to hunt at night." His feathers were quite bright in the darkness, marking his location like a beacon. Though he traveled at night because of the coolness, the day was best for hunting.

Hmmm, Miko looked at Cyranis's feathers they sure were bright, they would scare off any game she had in mind of catching. I guess you're right we'll have to catch some meat during the day. Do you really travel at night? Is that safe. The idea sounded better to her since she wasn't going to sleep anyway. She just wasn't sure about her companions habits. "If you usually travel I will surely be happy to do that, you are bright enough to light the path. Which by now with all this talking was fairly dark.
Arya pointed to the beads that were wrapped around his arm. "You see these Miko? They glow a bit in the dark, I mean not as bright as Cyranis here, but we'll be able to see alright."
"What about Heliosyne she doesn't mind traveling onward? At least we will get there faster even make it to the river by daybreak."
