Ichigo1417 we made bean paste dessert at our school when a Japanese exchange teacher came to our school for a year. she said that a few people die each year from chocking on it. I thought it tasted alright but not like starbursts whats pocky? sounds oishii! pocky is a cracker stick, kind of like a pretzel without the salt, and it's dipped in chocolate. They have several other flavors, the strawberry's are okay. Don't let them get too hot, or they'll all stick together and you'll have one big pocky stick.

Aiko_589 che_hyun anbu_haruno_sakura GypsyWItch my friend bought some pocky so we could share and i loved it!! i have this craving for strawberry pocky!! whee i liked it a little sweatdrop but i like the normal better... xp I sort of like Pepero better than Pocky. It looks just like a normal Chocolate Pocky, but the biscuit itself is sort of sweet. Which brings up the question, is Pepero considered Pocky or is it just Pepero? pepero is korean. stare Really? It's sort of hard to tell over here because all the Asian foods are clumped together, whether its in a single aisle in our crappy Wal Mart or into a single shop. Not to mention I didn't see any Korean on the label and 'pepero' isn't an obviously Korean word. Not to me anyways...my definition of an obvious Korean word is having double consonants or ending with a g or ng or k. razz

I had Green Tea candies. But there were also these little bisquit things that were called.. it wasn't pocky, but it was similar. Like dollar store ripoff reverse pocky. But anyways, inside the wrappers said 'Cry smile good bad new old, disco love peace save the world' and I thought it was so cute.
I love gummi strawberry and flowers kiss candy.
Their shrimp crackers actually taste like shrimp.
But the winners are definitely Ramune and Want Want Shelly Senbei (althought I'm not sure if that's Japanese or some other asian food..) They're rice cakey things with glaze on top and delicious, once you've had a few. if you only eat one it's like 'eh' but once you have three, you can't stop.
I've never had dried seaweed, but I really wanna try it. I just don't know what kind to get because I don't know what kind is meant for snacking and which kind is for sushi n_n;
I think Mochi is okay (if thats what you call it) but I'm always afraid of choking and dying on it. I also think it has a weird texture. I haven't been able to try any mochi with fillings, because.. people here suck and don't make it that way, so I need to find myself a new asian markey, but I think it's ok. It'd probably be way better with fillings, I'd suppose.
Hot Kid milk drink tastes like breast milk/baby formula.
Is it weird that I also snack on pickled ginger? I think it is. Hah.
Oh, and I almost forgot. Those little hamster-pellet-shaped chocolates, choco baby. I <3 choco baby.
And these hello kitty gum things, that taste like gum when you chew it, but disintigrates, and ou don't even know it isnt there anymore until it's gone. It's like magic, and really yummy.

Dried seaweed? Is that like that stuff you wrap sushi in? It sounds like it, but I could be wrong... stare
Pocky, I've never tried. Have I amazed anyone by that statement. I'd like to, though. Sounds good! xp I also like the sound of the Hello Kitty gums. xd
Have you guys ever heard of food theme parks? I think I heard of them once on japan-guide.com, a while back. There were two in Sunshine City that I recall reading about, within Tokyo. One was for ice-cream, and the other was for gyoza (some dumpling food). Ever heard of it? Or am I insane?

I have a thing for Carl カール even though some of my friends aren't really found of it. They tell me it taste like cereal or something.
I also love ハイチュウ as well. It's so tasty. Not to mention some of the chocolate products are quite good as well (I just love those chocolate mushrooms.)

pokey is of course the most widely known japanese junk food. I personally dont think its worth the calories. Not much flavor there. Ive had the kiwi gummies, those are good and i have also had the fruit drops. I had to get some after seeing Grave of fireflies crying I had these really gross fish flavored chips once. yuck

Namie_226 I haven't tried much but I absolutelt love Pocky and some kind of rice paper candy? Any ideas? I have lots of opportunity now though, since we have Saraga store close to my house! heart I swear its become my absolute favorite store. I was gonna try a green grass jelly pop but after some research on the net decided against it. (Really funny stuff though on the net.) Durian is an interesting fruit too. Lets see... I got a sake set which I love and any idea where to find sake? I think you might be thinking of a candy called white rabbit but i could be wrong. Its a white taffy sort of thing shaped like a tootsie roll and irs wrapped in rice paper
