Seth allowed himself a smirk at her reply. "Indeed."
He then lifted his hand which held his own coffee, noting the fact that hers was not. Heh.
After a moment and a sip from his cup, he asked. "Well?"

The redhead made an amused noise, then set her glass down with a click and folded her gloved arms on the table. The way they creased with the motion suggested underlying bandages. "Tell me about Aila Christelle de Valois." The name rolled off her tongue smoothly - not perfectly accented, but with a slightly musical cast.

There was a flicker of surprise in Seth's eyes as Nadja repeated the name, then was replaced with an annoyed look.
"Nrrg..." he grunted, and took a sip of his coffee once more before replying. "Tell me what happened, then I'll answer that."

Nadja cocked her head at the response, brow furrowing slightly and one corner of her mouth twitching back. "She was the unexpected element."
"During the mission, she attempted a distraction for her own ends, alerting the guards to the presence of an intruder. Direct confrontation was necessary to silence them before city police could be summoned," the redheaded elite explained. "My team apprehended her attempting to steal the orb - she mentioned you." Her eyes narrowed in focus for a moment, appraising her tall companion.
"So far I know she is long-winded, altogether too bold for the resources at her disposal, and a lady - or under the impression that she is." Nadja reached for her glass and had a sip, ice clinking as she tilted it back. "What I want to know is if she's worth anything."

Seth listened intently, his eyes narrowing slightly as he was informed as to exactly what happened. So she had been trying to steal the orb as well, not really surprising. However, the timing of it all was rather coincidental. "Did she," was all he had to say as far as Aila mentioning him.
He snorted slightly at Nadja's description of the girl, which certainly sounded right.
"She has potential," Seth replied after a few moments. He then huffed slightly. "Don't get me wrong," he continued gruffly. "She tried to steal from me as well." The smirk that reappeared certainly gave away the fact that Aila had failed then also.

"Mm?" Slim brows arched mid-sip. Nadja lowered her glass slightly, but it hovered inches from her lips. "You must have had something quite valuable then," she mused. "She's not the type to set her sights low."
The redhead traced a finger around the rim, moving on from that little tangent. "You told her she would be better off with us."

Seth lifted a brow at that as well. "Sounds like you did quite a bit of chatting." Just how much had Aila told her? ... Was it all accurate? Probably not.
"I told her she would be better off joining Team Rocket instead of reducing herself to robbing banks."
The elite sighed and put down his own cup.
"She has skills and maybe even talent. Certainly more than most of the idiot grunts we manage to recruit."

"She was very forthcoming while I picked the lock," the redhead replied, faintly amused by the whole business. Seth's confirmation - and elaboration - on his words drew a nod that set her earrings swaying. Now verified, it gave her a new element to consider.
"Lucere wants an investigation on her; I'll append a recommendation for recruitment." Nadja smiled across the table. "I appreciate your input."

Ah ha. So that's what brought on this questioning, other than the fact that Aila had mentioned him. Seems that giving her his name turned out to be beneficial.
He then gave a coy little smirk. "And what do I get in return for my cooperation?" Although he had the feeling he knew the answer to that.

"Hmm.." Nadja considered Seth for another long sip, gaze hooded. When her lips slipped away from the edge of the glass, they lifted in an artful curve. "How about a little more than coffee," she suggested at last, shifting her crossed legs. "I have an evening off next Tuesday."

Seth seemed to accept this answer, for his expression was now a pleased one. "I see. Dinner then?"
He seemed to mull this over as the coffee cup reached his lips again. "Very well. I'll leave my schedule open. Seven o'clock?"

"Just so," Nadja agreed, and finished the last of her chai. She cocked her head slightly to the side with a wry smirk. "I'll leave the location up to you."
The redhead slid her legs out to the side, flexing them in preparation to stand. "Well," she smiled to herself. "I have a report to write. You're back on active duty now, aren't you?"

"All right." He could certainly handle that. Seth knew Camphoreon well enough to be able to pick out a decent place for dinner.
He then watched as she readied to leave, but then seemed to have an after thought regarding his activity status. "I am." Finally. "When are you next available in the labs?"

"H'm." Nadja lingered in chair a moment more, resting an elbow on the table as she half-turned to face Seth. After a moment's consideration of her schedule, she remarked, "That depends on what you wanted."

Seth paused for a moment as he thought this one over. He then leaned forwards with his arms folded upon the table. "I would like to get down to business," he replied smoothly, but not without that smirk.
