Cassandra Song Diaz the Heartbreaker, but you can call me Love. "We live in California, Diaz is like the last name Jones," Cassie said shrugging, "and back home in Texas it is even more common." She smiled until the smile flickered as purple hair breezed past her and Jac. Cassie raised her brow, was that Catherine Smithe? Oh, God, what is going on with her now? Probably one of the idiotic guys making fun of her because she looked different. If she remembered correctly, it was only recently, that Catherine Smithe had started pulling her purple hair back to reveal pointed ears. Things like that only made her more of the prey to those to make fun of her though...
Sighing, Cassie decided in a split second to deal with Jac first. Opening the door she said brightly to Jac, "Here's your classroom." Facing away from her was the tall black haired figure of Alexander Diaz.
"Mr. Diaz," began Cassie quickly, after Trevor's introduction, "I am sorry for the inconvenience, but I, as senior vice president, took it upon myself to give Jac a guided escort to class because she got mixed up. Don't hold it against her-" mid sentence she stopped when Alexander turned around to face her, his face white.
"Alex?" Cassie said shortening his name, something he tended to tolerate only from his little sister. "What are you doing here does-"
"Cassandra Diaz, thank-you for showing Jac the way but I'm sure it shouldn't take that long, so you can take responsibility by becoming my teacher's aide, during homeroom, alright?"
"You've got to be joking," Cassie said, walking up to her older brother she bat her green eyes at him and said, "You're joking right?"
Alexander grabbed her arm suddenly and leaned down looking towards the board as he spoke to her, hissing in her ear in front of the class too low for anyone but them to hear, "No, no I'm not. And try that trick with me again and I swear you will live to regret it. I know all about your power. But we can catch up later... why don't you go find Catherine for me and get her back to class I dealt with the situation already."
Letting her go, Alexander said with a smile, "Thank-you for volunteering to be my teacher's aid during lunch today and after school."
Cassie glared at Alexander who didn't even look at her and snapped loud enough for the class to hear, "Of course, I'd do anything for my dear older brother..." At that, she left the class room and slammed the door behind her: Cassie's mind was racing. What was her brother doing here? And why was he teaching at her high school? He could ruin everything she built for herself... and he knows about her powers. From who? Their parents? But... how did he know the details?
Trying to calm herself she ducked into the girl's bathroom, not even noticing Catherine at the sinks as she turned to look at her reflection in the full length mirror, and with a clenched fist slammed her hand into the mirror and muttered, "Dammit, Alexander. What the Hell do you want?" A shattered indention in the mirror appeared from where her fist hit when she hit the mirror again in frustration, before noticing Catherine behind her from the mirror.
"Catherine," Cassie said turning suddenly, reaching for her glasses. A little command might not be enough in such a situation...

'Sparks' So the name wasn't just a coincidence, though judging from Warp and Cassie's reaction they both were shocked to see each other. She wondered why Warp had kept his sister secret, was he protecting her? No the way he handled her and the look on his face, it was a look Sparks recognized. He wasn't showing normal brotherly love, despite his tone for the audience of students.
Jacqueline had moved towards an open desk in the front of the room to avoid any extra tension Warp had stored. She knew how dangerous he could get and she had grown rather fond of living so she wasn't looking to get on his bad side. She had learned from one of the boys near her that all Warp, er Mr. Diaz had done was just introduce himself, talk about the class, and have them do introductions. So she hadn't missed anything important.
As she watched Cassie leave, she wondered what Alex's motive was to having Cassie go find Catherine, it was weird. She knew she would of been a better choice since they were teammates. His reasoning behind having Cassie be his student aid was also a surprise, the way he acted made it seem like he wasn't to happy to see her. She shrugged as the class returned to normal and the introductions continued, till it was her turn she smiled as spoke, "Morning, I'm Jacqueline Hook and I'm new to Bayville and hope to make friends, like any newbie." Jac was glad to be done with her introduction, she was never really good at those, despite her charm she just never knew what to say. Her quick mind never seemed to help in school, just with mechanical things.
There were a few more introductions tough Jac didn't really pay much attention as she kept her eyes on the door wondering what was keeping the two girls. She wasn't paying attention to the boy next to her that had been trying to get her attention for a while now, as she turned to look at Alex. She knew she had to talk to him, even if he wasn't going to give her answers she still wanted to know why he sent Cassie, he could at least answer that.
The sound of the bell went through the room and the students began to file out, including the boy who had ended up just leaving a note on Jac's desk to which she ignored as she made her way up to Alex. "Mr. Diaz, I'd like to apologize for being so late and if-" As the last student left, she switched her tone from that of a nervous student in trouble to one of concern and interest "Can you tell me what that was about? Like since when did you have a sister, does Magento know? And why'd you send her off with Catherine, was that really the smartest thing to do after she clearly wasn't stable? I mean I thought you;d be smarter, what if she finds out and reports her? Or would she keep it secret? This is so bad, or is it good? William what was with you snapping like that? I'm sorry I'm just like what the heck right now. This isn't how the first days supposed to go." Jacqueline tried to stop herself from rambling but she couldn't help it nor could she help the worry that laced her voice as she continued her rambling. She finally stopped herself as she felt the sparks dancing on her skin, knowing well enough that if anyone touched her right now they'd get a shock, not enough to cause major harm but definitely more noticeable than a static shock.

Alexander William Diaz "Call me Warp." Alexander couldn't even begin to describe the relief he felt when the bell rang and sighed as Jac came to his desk, knowing the questions brimming already. "Of course Magneto knows about my sister," laughed Alexander off hand. "Why do you think I joined the Brotherhood in the first place? I was happy to do nothing for homo-superior. I wanted to protect Cassandra." Leaning back in his chair and putting his feet on the desk he closed the classroom door and locked it as he continued making a new dimension for them to talk in silence.
"I really doubt that Cassie would go find Catherine, and if she does, she is mostly harmless," sighed Cassie. "At least in the matter of reporting Catherine to the authorities. Considering how powerful my gifts are, do you think my full blooded little sister wouldn't be a mutant too?"
He closed his eyes and continued, "The fact my sister showed up here of all things could mean several bad things. One, she isn't a part of the Brotherhood so that would leave the only other option if she has joined up with someone is the X-Men. But, she doesn't follow the 'rules' any more than I do."
Sitting up suddenly, Alexander narrowed his blue eyes at her, "I don't know much about the details about my sister's ability, but I do know she distorts reality like I do, just in a different way: she distorts people's emotions and will with eye contact. The reason I snapped should be obvious, I don't like anyone toying with my will: including, my own little sister."

Catherine Smithe Shadow Walker Catherine heard the bathroom door opened. She wasn't sure if she was safe enough to be around other people. She starts toward the bathroom's exit when there a sudden piercing shatter of the mirror. She had hoped that she didn't notice her. mc2 "Catherine," Cassie said turning suddenly, reaching for her glasses. A little command might not be enough in such a situation... So much for just sneaking out unnoticed... "Cassandra" she simply reflected what Cassandra did with her name and paused a moment. With that she continued toward the bathroom door and was considering going outside for a moment perhaps test her ability there where she would not hurt anyone.

Cassandra Song Diaz the Heartbreaker, but you can call me Love. Dropping her glasses to the floor she grabbed Catherine's arm, her free hand reaching to take out her contacts, a second precaution she had started donning recently. Staring straight at Catherine with narrowed green eyes-the natural kind of jade green, not the bright sea-foam green of Catherine's eyes- she forced a smile as she ignored the blood beginning to drip from small cuts on her right hand from when she punched the mirror.
"Catherine, sweet little Cathy," began Cassie, her voice sweet as honey as she spoke, "Look at me, okay? What you saw with me was just me loosing my temper, we all do that once in a while, right? How about not mentioning the mirror to anyone, okay?"
All the while she forced a smile, it looked cheery and innocent initially, but it was forced: just a plastered on Barbie grin. The last thing Cassie needed was to get some punishment over destruction of private property because of some stupid mirror and a purple haired classmate at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Catherine Smithe Shadow Walker Catherine was more focused on her arm and how tight Cassie's grip than what she had to say or make eye contact with her. She didn't like how she belittled her by calling her "little Cathy" no matter how sweet her voice sounded. Catherine's dislike for shortening her name was much greater.
She struggles with Cassie's tight grip. "Don't call me 'little Cathy!'" she wanted to to get out of here but she wasn't sure if she should. Granted everyone at school knew she was a mutant for her looks but she was careful about using her abilities at school. Careful that is, until this morning in Latin. Catherine had no idea whether Cassie was a mutant or not. Though she did wonder why she wanted her to look at her.
The thought crossed her mind that perhaps she could do to her what she did to Frank Carmichael. She stopped herself from heading that direction. They didn't need to have more proof against her if it happened twice in a row and to add on top to the vice president of the senior class.

'Sparks' So Cassie was like her meaning Catherine's secret would be safe but the idea of her being against their cause made Jac fret a little. Jacqueline's thoughts did go to Catherine wondering what had happened to make her leave so suddenly, she knew despite the girl's pride she didn't have always have the strength to push things aside. Things that people who didn't matter said or did didn't bother Jac like they seemed to bother Catherine. She wasn't sure why and she never really had an chance to ask since she kept to herself. Jac always wished Catherine would be more social since she was the only other girl in the Brotherhood currently and it would keep the others from playing jokes on her so much. She knew they mainly did it because of loner attitude, but their jokes weren't they way to get her out of her shell. Boys would always be boys.
Looking to Alex she smiled slightly at his air of confidence which he had earned since he was their strongest ally. She really thought he would be a much better leader than Quicksilver and was unsure as to why he wasn't once she had learned of his talents. "Sorry for the questions." She laughed as she apologized at the irony of her apology since she knew she was still going to ask questions, "Are you happy at least to see her again? Even if she is with the X-Men?"
Jac paused as she spoke about the X-Men. She wasn't to sure who they were really, she knew they had met a few times like the night that had made her miss orientation. But she didn't know what their angle was, she knew they didn't agree which was why they fought but how big was the line between them? She wanted to ask but she figured she had asked enough deep questions for the day and she didn't want to upset Warp of all people. Her smile returned as she moved a strand of blonde hair behind her ear, "So the circus huh? I don't think I remember ever hearing about that before today. Looks like we have something in common, well the cross country traveling. Still never thought I'd have something in common with you" Jac laughed lightly as she spoke, knowing she was probably pushing Alex's buttons but the worse that could happen would be him not speaking to her, which she had already grown accustomed to since their conversations at home had always been rare.

Cassandra Song Diaz the Heartbreaker, but you can call me Love. Swearing vividly under her breath in both English, and more colorfully in Spanish, Cassie grabbed Catherine with her other hand, still not bothering with her contacts. Hands tightened on Catherine's arm, Cassie swung her around and backed her into the wall. "Look at me!" She hissed glaring at Catherine.
Cassie though was appearing strong was beginning to shake. Not because she couldn't handle herself (or at least thought she could) physically, it was that she hated to use violence. She was panicking at the idea of seeing her brother. She was panicking at the idea of possibly loosing everything she built. And something about Catherine made her feel as if she was in a somewhat dangerous situation, as if Catherine could handle herself if the right buttons were pushed. Which come to think of it Cassie was doing right now. And Professor X and Emma would have that disappointed look on their face when she got home, today...
Oh, and that empty feeling after using her power... don't forget that, Cassie reminded herself. Sighing she let Catherine go, and turned away, hiding tears in her eye and said in a strong voice. "Forget it." Smiling, Cassie decided to take a gamble. "And forget what happened here and I'll forget those pointy ears and purple hair of yours."
Picking up her glasses, Cassie turned around, crossing her arms and said in a low voice, "You're a mutant, right? Don't worry, I won't report you if you don't report me." Sighing she continued, deciding on just using the truth, "And I will quit using my influence to help you out with Frank Carmichael and his gang. Do you know what those pigs had planned for you before I got a hold of them? You're lucky those hyenas are only verbally belittling you." Honestly, Frank Carmichael had planned to jump Catherine with a group of his friends last year, but that changed when they looked into Cassie's jade green eyes. To think they were convinced to save a (probable) mutant by the powers of another mutant. The irony...

Catherine Smithe Shadow Walker Why does she want me to look at her so bad? I was just minding my business. It's not like I was going to tell anyone. Besides they'd think I did it and was blaming it on the beautiful, perfect and charming, Cassie. Not much is known about me other than my looks.
"Ugh!" she lets out as she was slammed against the wall. She looks at Cassie with eyes opened wide and staring at her. What the hell is your deal!? she thought which seem to be written on her face as she stared back at her.
She then was let go with a sigh of relief she rubs her arm. It felt a little bruised. "Who says I have not been reported already? It's completely obvious that I'm a mutant. The million dollar question is who doesn't know I'm a mutant. They covered my change through the tabloids, magazines and paparazzi. You've probably missed the story about my parents have kicked me out..."
"Thank you" she started softly as she heard that she was keeping Carmichael at bay. "I'm not sure if he'll be doing verbal abuse as often anymore." she looks down and rubs her forehead ashamed for what she did.

Cassandra Song Diaz the Heartbreaker, but you can call me Love. "Sorry, but I don't pay attention to tabloids," replied Cassie coldly. "So, I suppose you used mummy and daddy to get out of being locked up for your abilities..." Cassie sighed, smiling, "I'm almost jealous. Though I'd rather use my gifts to keep me safe."
She began pacing the bathroom, listening for any sounds of anyone else there, smiling when she realized it was empty besides the two of them. Maybe she could reach out a hand to Catherine, make up for the wrong she had done. After all, it was the truth she looked out for Catherine Smithe in relation to Frank Carmichael. She had long ago guessed that Catherine might have been a mutant too, but regardless, Cassie liked to envision herself as the protector of the "weak."
When she had overheard what Carmichael had planned all it took was a frank but private asking for a date, one date without glasses or contacts, and the boy was wrapped around her finger. It was a gamble, but apparently, his love manifested in the way of a doting suitor, one that agreed to go along with what Cassie said, who unfortunately deluded himself into the fact that they were dating even though Cassie never gave him the time of day. But to win his attention he had become a bit more tolerable of a human being... a bit the key adjective.
Turning, Cassie frowned. Walking over to Catherine, Cassie laid a hand on Catherine's shoulder, and in a low voice said in a rush directed into Catherine's ear, "What do you mean he won't be doing verbal abuse as often anymore? What did you do? You didn't do something stupid like use your powers or something? I mean, so-called-poor Carmichael is already being manipulated by my powers, he doesn't need someone else messing with him. Are you trying to give the government reason to lock us up?"
Frowning, she moved away from Catherine and added, tapping a finger to her lips, "But then again, I don't know how much of Carmichael's change in behavior was my power's doing..." After all, the "date" idea would never have worked, and Cassie wouldn't have thought of it, if she hadn't heard Frank Carmichael had thought she was pretty cute and worth a shot at trying to hook up with.

Catherine Smithe Shadow Walker Catherine could feel herself sting as Cassie mentioned her parents and how they would keep her safe from the authorities. Who would do that now? Magneto doesn't have that kind of money. Does he? Would he get me out if I got caught, would he keep me safe? He invited me into his family, ofcourse he would. Catherine decided to shrug off those thoughts as silly.
She felt Cassie's hand on her shoulder. It comforted her a bit. Then she tensed up again as she asked her about Carmichael. She wasn't sure if she should answer at first but she did recall Cassie practically revealing that she was a mutant. Perhaps she should be part of the family... she thought as she was holding on to her elbows tight.
"I-I- didn't mean t-to do it...th-this never happened before..." she looks down. "I was heading out side before you grabbed me... I felt that I wasn't safe around people after what happened today... I felt I needed to isolate myself. I think I should go home. I don't want to hurt anyone even Carmichael... I should just go home now..." tears start crawling out of guilt and shame of what she did, not only that but all of the other possibilities scared her even more. What if Magneto started using her to kill with this new found ability? What would happen if she refused?

Cassandra Song Diaz the Heartbreaker, but you can call me Love. Cassie's musings were stopped dead by Catherine's crying. The poor girl didn't have a clue about what the extent of her powers were. It reminded her of when her powers first manifested. It reminded her of Rogue's constant struggle with her power- one that could kill so much easier than save lives. Then again, it irked her, it reminded her of the hiding. The running. Having to uproot her entire life with no support system.
Anyhow, whatever the girl did couldn't be that bad, after all, Carmichael looked to be okay, generally enough, whenever she had walked into Alexander's, her brother's, classroom. Forcing a smile, Cassie hugged Catherine and said, "If you hide forever, you will never learn to control your gifts."
"You might have guessed it but my power is related to altering the will of people," said Catherine. "It is a two fold power. With just a bat of my green eyes, meeting someone else's directly, the person instantly falls in love with me. That is if I don't wear glasses or contacts... otherwise I can just make people do things, anything I want them to, as long as they meet my eyes and receive a command. If that isn't a reason to keep someone away from people then I don't know what is."
Smiling, Cassie let go of Catherine and added, "But I'm around people all the time. I've learned control and precautions. You can too. There's a place that can help you, even. A place that has helped me. They saved me from having to be on the run manipulating people to get things I wanted, to fill an emptiness inside of me that could never get filled."
With a large smile and sparkling eyes, she asked quietly, "Have you heard of the X-Men, Catherine?"

Alexander William Diaz "Call me Warp." "I'm glad to see she is safe," replied Alexander sighing. "But, when you can make people do whatever she wants with indirect eye contact and anyone who can see that meets her direct gaze automatically falls in love with her-which is a double edged sword I suppose-it is kind of hard not to be safe. But all that is why I'm not happy at seeing her..."
Sighing, Alexander continued, "She wasn't a fighter when I last remembered. That is why I made a deal with Magneto to keep her out of the fight. But if she joined the X-Men that means she sided with the humans. And, it doesn't change the fact that she has a power that could force anyone to put down their weapons and put homo-superiors in charge. Why wouldn't Magneto want to recruit her? Or even force her to use her powers. Quite frankly I don't like it."
Smiling Alexander added, "But that is all family business and problems. So don't worry about it. Cassie's a lot like me when it comes down to it: she'll be fine, especially with me looking out for her."
Laughing Alexander changed the subject to his time in the circus, "You really should pay attention to Quicksilver more, Sparky, he mentions the fact I was in the circus all the time, or begins to. Why do you think I go at it so much with him? I don't appreciate being called a 'human pincushion.' Though, it is a neat trick using my powers, displaying it on the road at the circus and magic tricks and swallowing swords was hardly the highlight of my career. There was some foxes who worked with me though, that made things entertaining."
He smiled as he thought of his dates/'dates' with the circus girls, "Ask me about Maria who trained elephants sometime when your older. There's a story worth telling. Anyhow, we should probably check on Cassie and Shadow Walker. Make sure, Cassie isn't hasn't changed to be more like me than I thought... that her temper has gotten the better of her."

Catherine Smithe Shadow Walker With a large smile and sparkling eyes, she asked quietly, "Have you heard of the X-Men, Catherine?" "The X-Men?" she whipes her eyes clear of here tears and thought for a moment about if she knew of them. She did recall hearing that name when they went to steal the mutant power restraining collars. Humans should not have that kind of power why would they try to stop them if they were trying to help mutant? She followed her response with "I've heard of them but I don't really know much about them." It was an honest answer, she didn't really know more about the X-men other than the name. She was mainly the Brotherhood's way in and out when they want to be stealthy.
If Cassie is with the other team, she probably would have little interest in the Brotherhood. But perhaps they could learn a few things from her... "There are a few friends that may have some interest in your organization. Would you like to meet them after school?"
