"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" Swinging, swinging, none of his attempts to hit the man were making contact with their 'target'. But, that didn't stop him from trying, as futile as it obviously was. His mind was still lost and racing, yet completely blank. Silas's body was still moving on its own until it made rough contact with a wall. "Ahck-" was all he got out as his eyes closed at the impact. Before he could do much of anything else, the towel bar was out of his hand and he was suddenly turned around, a flood of unfamiliar warmth covering a large majority of his body, black hair consuming his vision. The sound of the towel bar ringing in the tub shook him out of his shock, and he tried to struggle against whatever was tightly holding him in place. It was useless, but he couldn't control himself, his mind was flooded with so many things. Things he didn't understand, things part of him didn't want to understand, things he'd tried to forget, things he'd never felt before, things he tried to avoid, it was too much for him to take all at once after living the way he had for the past unmeasured number of years.
The sudden voice whispering in his year made him freeze almost immediately, his body going a little stiff and his eyes a little wide as he was once again taken by surprise. After a moment, his eyes closed a little, his vision getting blurred by more tears. He wanted to believe them, those words, and some part of him had been wanting to hear them for the longest time. But, although he didn't feel that the Umbreon was lying, his trust wasn't so easily obtained after he'd received the scar on his back. "How..," he started, finally calming down at least enough to try and speak, but still on guard, "..how am I supposed to trust that. I can't. Not after.." Silas trailed off, his voice quiet, clenching his teeth a little, not ready to say what had been eating at him for so long, what caused him to be like he was now. To most it probably would've seemed foolish, being so on edge around people when those people weren't the ones that caused him to be this way, but it was still so hard for the Vaporeon. He hadn't been 'raised' properly, and the one person he actually did open up to and trust completely literally stabbed him in the back. He couldn't suddenly just turn over a new leaf and 'forgive and forget'.
He decided to go out on a limb, humor the man, at least that's what he was telling himself. In reality, he really wanted to know. "How do you expect to keep me safe. How do you plan to.." he trailed off again, his voice was still quiet, quivering, and his body was shaking a bit as the result of the sudden events. Silas hadn't felt this vulnerable in so long, it was a little nostalgic in some ways.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Dendera continued to hold Silas tightly, his long black hair seeming to drape around the two of them as the boy continued to cry in his arms. He wanted to be able to stop that pain for the man but maybe it was better for him if he could let it all out rather than bottling up his feelings and arguing with himself for once. But it was obvious that the vaporeon was still very conflicted. At least crying like that balanced out your hormones, releasing the ones that tend to make people feel bad.
So the boy couldn't trust him, he could understand that. They barely knew each other after all and it was obvious that Silas had a hard time trusting regardless. "You don't have to trust it because I'm going to prove it." he spoke firmly but quietly, being as gentle as he could with the boy and his emotions. "All that you have to do is stick around so that I can." he was asking Silas to be in his life, actually asking, it was something that he never did, hell he rarely even wanted anyone in his life, let alone requested it. But he knew that he wanted Silas there.
As he held him tightly, trying to assure him, he could feel his own heart pounding against his ribs. This wasn't very common or comfortable for him either but if there was one thing that Dendera could do, it was display strength, which he had plenty of to spare. The boy's body began to shake against him, he became fairly sure that Silas wouldn't be throwing more punches and so he loosened his grip, pulling his hands up to the boys face, cupping his cheeks and wiping away at the tears there, looking right into those wet blue eyes. "No one can hurt you as long as I'm here. I'll make a 'plan' when I need one." he spoke softly but confidently. He was obviously not the kind of guy that would be easily won over in a physical fight, and he'd be damned if he'd let anyone play head games with the boy, not that Silas would make that easy for them anyway. "You don't need to be afraid anymore." he tried to assure him, not even really sure why he cared so much.

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" He was trying to go over what he was hearing in his head, trying to think clearly enough to at least do that much. The Vaporeon was calming down now, a lot more than he was, though his body was still trembling from the aftershock of it all. It felt like he'd let out at least half of all the frustration, sadness, anger he'd built up for so many years. And, honestly, it was a great relief, though he was still a bit uncomfortable that he let it out, especially to someone he'd only just recently met. But, then again, who else would he have told it to? He didn't have anyone close to him, and he was certain very few people would be able to put up with his lashing out, or even stop his attacking like the Umbreon had. The man wasn't even taking advantage of his vulnerability like many would, but was instead...comforting him? Assuring him? It was unfamiliar to him, but he was starting to feel some sort of tug in his chest. It wasn't necessarily bad, but it was warm and brought a few more tears to his eyes. Whatever it was, it felt..nice, which was something he wasn't accustomed to feeling.
Silas blinked a little at his tears being wiped away, the light blush returning to his cheeks now that he wasn't in the state of mind he had been in, at least not completely. All the crying and venting he had done was relaxing him, mentally and physically, and he was surprisingly welcoming it without much, if any resistance. His eyes finally met Dendera's red ones again, which only helped calm him further. He wasn't sure why, but the man's eyes had a way of separating Silas away from 'reality', his troubles. It was both disconcerting and yet comforting. The Vaporeon's mouth opened, and closed soon after, unable to find any words to really say to everything he had been told. He needed to think about it, let it sink in, though he was aware that part of him was already ready to accept it. Silas didn't like jumping into things so blindly, especially when he was in such a messy state.
"I...," he finally started after a few moments, his voice still quiet, but more calm than when he spoke before, "..I need to think..Can I take a shower?" For once, he was actually asking instead of demanding. The Vaporeon was feeling unsure of himself for a change, this was all something new for him, something he couldn't be sure about because it'd never happened to him before. Even if it had happened before, letting someone into his life and being let into someone else's life was not something he could think lightly of.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Dendera couldn't help but to let a smile return to his face at the sight of those blushing cheeks again. It seemed so easy to make the boy blush and really with how reluctant he was to do such it was just too adorable. He certainly was different from anyone that the umbreon had met before. He was so difficult but Dend could tell that there was something just so sweet about him beneath all the struggling. He was vulnerable and hurt and all of the struggling was just to hide that and to protect himself, something that the umbreon wanted to assure him that he didn't need to do around him.
He watched as Silas attempted to speak but apparently found himself unable to. Dendera couldn't really blame him, it wasn't every day that someone said things like that, they were truly powerful words and even more strange to hear from someone that you didn't know very well. Plus, underneath all the rough exterior, the umbreon gave the guess that Silas was actually quite fragile, and he had at least put a dent in that wall.
When Silas finally did speak, the umbreon nodded, "Ofcourse, towels are under the sink." he responded, "You can borrow some clothes of mine, I'll leave them by the door." he ran his thumb across the man's lower eyelid to wipe away any tears that were still there. He pulled him close once more, briefly, whispering in his ear, "You'll be ok." he assured him before letting him go and exiting the bathroom.
He was unsure what to think of the whole situation but he knew that he had meant every word he had said. And he didn't plan to make a liar of himself, he would be there for the vaporeon for as long as he would let him be. Once he got to his room he pulled out some clothes, just a simple black t-shirt and black jeans. The pants would probably be too long for the vaporeon seeing as Dendera was taller than him, but he assumed the waist would at least be close to his size. He left them by the door, as he'd said that he would and then went to the living room, taking a seat on his couch and starting up a game of Halo, though his mind was wandering away from the game.

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" Silas only nodded a little in response, but blinked again as more of his tears were wiped away and he was pulled to the Umbreon, his blush getting just a little deeper at his words. Soon enough, though, he was alone again in the bathroom, and only stared at the door for a few minutes before glancing around the room. He hadn't actually looked at the bathroom when he first walked into it, observing his surroundings was one of the farthest things from his mind at that time. But, now that he did get a look at it, it was fairly nice for a bathroom. The only thing that seemed out of place was the missing towel bar that he had pulled out in his suddenly changed behavior. He walked over to the shower, reaching into the tub and pulling out the bar that had been tossed in, putting it back where it had originally been before starting the water. A shower sounded great, for more reasons than one. He'd been out all night and was sure he couldn't possibly smell too great, and water always relaxed him when he was troubled, be it a shower, bath, or pool.
While waiting for the water to get warm enough, the Vaporeon slowly stripped out of his clothes, laying them across the corner of the sink counter and setting his collar on top. Silas paused for a moment before turning around, turning his head to the side to look over his shoulder and into the mirror. His eyes gazed down to look at the scar on his lower back, staring at it quietly. "Will I be okay," he mumbled to no one in particular, sighing a little to himself before closing his eyes. His left hand brushed over the other scar on his outer thigh absentmindedly, his fingers tracing over it lightly. That scar was a bit different. He hadn't gotten it the day of the betrayal, but it was still a reminder of those days.
Silas pushed his thoughts aside after a moment and walked back over to the shower, stepping in after making sure the water was where he wanted it and closing the door behind himself. He walked over and stood directly under the warm water, setting his forehead against the cool wall. For a while he just stayed like that, thinking and not thinking. He had a lot of things to consider.
___________________
It took him a while before he finally finished cleaning himself off and turned off the water, he wasn't keeping track but he knew that much. Silas opened the door and exited the shower, closing it behind him before getting a clean towel out from under the mentioned sink and drying himself off. After ruffling his hair a bit with it, he quietly opened the bathroom door, glancing around a little before spotting the clothes Dendera had said he would leave out. The Vaporeon picked them up and brought them into the bathroom, closing the door again as he changed into them.
___________________
'These are...a little big,' he thought to himself, finally making it down the stairs quietly and shuffling into the living room/kitchen area. He'd had to roll up the bottom of the pants quite a bit, and they were a little big on his waist, but aside from that everything seemed to fit comfortably enough. Silas's eyes glanced up, spotting the Umbreon playing some sort of game that he wasn't too familiar with, some of his wet hair sticking to the sides of his face. "Thanks..for the clothes," he finally said, his voice still a bit quiet, but audible. The Vaporeon still wasn't his 'usual' self, but it was hard to be when something so...well, 'life changing', for him, had happened just recently.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Dendera was taken enemies down effortlessly and with barely any attention actually on the game. It was just something idle to keep himself busy while his mind was racing about. He wasn't sure what to make of the entire happening of the day and the night before. To think, if the vaporeon hadn't taken notice of Hope and Faith he would have just been another stranger that had danced with the umbreon anonymously, Dendera never would have come to know anything about the fragile side that Silas tried so hard to keep under lock and key.
He sank into the cushions of the big leather couch, buttons of the controller clicking rapidly as he gunned down another. But then he was pulled from his thoughts and from the game by the sound of footsteps. His bright red eyes found their way to the figure that seemed to now permanently be on his mind. He smiled faintly, "The clothes are the least of what you've gotten from me." he commented softly, "It's no problem, really." he added, waving it off.
He motioned for the man to take a seat beside of him and he put the controller down, which apparently it didn't take long for someone to find and down his character once he had. He assumed that they were celebrating the victory but it wasn't too important, there was no doubt in his mind that everyone would realize he was now 'afk'. "You feeling any better now?" he asked, referring obviously to how shaken the man had been before his shower.

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" Silas didn't bother to reply, part of him was still swimming in his thoughts, even as relaxed and 'subdued' as he currently was, some parts of his mind were still racing. Everything was happening so quickly, it nearly left him behind in the dust somewhere. Who knew his life would be doing another '180', something he had never expected. His eyes took note of the Umbreon's motions, he could at least manage that much, though he was a little zoned out after all the 'activity' from earlier. The Vaporeon walked over quietly, taking a seat next to the man that had breeched quite a few of the walls he had up, but still kept a couple feet of distance. He still wasn't too comfortable being close to others, that would take time for him to adjust to. But, it was a miracle in and of itself that he was even still in the man's home. If it had been just about anyone else, he would have darted straight out the door long ago.
He was finding it a little hard to actually look at Dendera, he almost felt..shy? Was that what it was? It was either that or something crossed with embarrassment. He'd acted so..different than usual not too long ago, and part of him was a little concerned with how the Umbreon would react to that fact now. Silas closed his eyes a little and rubbed his face once with a hand, looking at the floor as he spoke. "..yeah," was all he could really say, still avoiding looking at the man. Even though he'd made his decision while he was in the shower, it still wasn't making this any easier. It was awkward for him, and he was so used to keeping to himself.
"I've decided," he started, his hands now back on his lap, "you can try to do the things you said to me, but if they don't work..you won't be getting a second chance." He finally glanced over at Dendera, calmly, but he was serious. Silas would give him a chance, but only one. If he ever ended up doing what others had done to him, that would be the end of it. He wasn't one for 'second chances', especially now. "And if you betray me," he added in, his eyes deathly serious, "though it will take a while before I could trust you as much as I once trusted someone else, I'd sooner kill you than give you another chance." While he didn't really want to hurt Dendera, that was the best way he could think of putting it. If whatever trust the Umbreon managed to get out of him was broken, he'd snap. It was almost a warning, one that he didn't usually give others.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Dendera's attention was now completely on the vaporeon. A faint smile on his face as the man responded, though it seemed that Silas's head was still swimming, he seemed so unsure and cautious but Dendera hadn't expected much different from him. Then the air of him became so much more serious as he spoke of his decision. The conversation was so out of the ordinary but seemed so suited for the two of them to be having, it was something that the umbreon had a hard time understanding. The unusual just seemed to be fitting for the vaporeon.
The threat was truly unnecessary, and the Egyptian was fairly confident that it would take a very skilled trained professional to be the end of him, but he understood that it was something that could give a sense of control which it seemed that Silas very desperately needed and so he would just let it go. Instead of bringing up the fact that he was a quite efficiently trained soldier, and killer specializing in defense tactics and weapons use.
He let out a short sigh before speaking, finding the air to be too thick to think, "Won't be a need for second chances, you'll only need to give me the one." he assured him, "Whether you trust it or not, I'll tell you now that I am no liar and I don't intend to make myself into one." he let his eyes drop to the hands that lay in Silas's lap and then back up to the vaporeon's eyes, "You don't have to push everyone away, if you insist though I guess I'll just have to work on breaking down a few of those walls." the small smile returned to his face though it was obvious that he meant it, and planned to do such.
After he was finished speaking though he chose to close the distance between them, grabbing hold of the wrist that he'd made a habit for dragging around. He pulled the vaporeon suddenly into an embrace, fairly certain that the boy would object but it didn't matter. And he whispered into his ear once more, voice soft and smooth, "I know how fragile you really are." it wasn't a taunt or a tease but it was confident, and he felt sure of it.

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" Silas listened to the man's words, not really sure what to make of them just yet. They didn't sound like lies, that much was obvious, but he still didn't want to openly trust someone just yet, it was still too soon for him. The mention of his 'walls' being broken down also made him a little uneasy. He was used to having his 'walls', hearing the promise of them being torn down almost put him on guard, though he was a bit conflicted, which was becoming a normal thing when he was around the Umbreon. He was beginning to vaguely wonder which part would win in the end, the part that wanted to open up to Dendera, or the part that wanted to stay clamped tightly shut. The conflict of the two almost pained him, it wasn't exactly 'comfortable' or 'fun' being at war with yourself.
It wasn't too long after the man finished speaking that his wrist was grabbed again and he was pulled over into an embrace. His eyes widened quite a bit and he really didn't know how to react to it at first, having been taken off guard and suddenly in a position that he was never in. The Vaporeon's body went stiff again and he brought his free hand up and set it near Dendera's shoulder, pushing against it. "...l-let go...!" he stammered, the now familiar blush creeping up to his cheeks. But, he paused in his struggling at the Umbreon's last words, closing his eyes a little for a moment. They were true, as much as he didn't want to face it, he was fragile. Everything he did, 'pushing people away', keeping to himself, acting harshly or apathetic, they were all his 'tools' in keeping others away from him. Over time, he'd grown used to it. And, he wasn't sure if it was him just fooling himself, but he came to kind of enjoy being alone, if 'enjoy' was what you would call it. It wasn't exactly that he found pleasure in it, but it always seemed like the better alternative to always being around other people.
"..shut up," he finally mumbled stubbornly, glancing off to the side. Silas didn't really know what else to say to it. It wasn't like the words were wrong, in fact they were very right, but he didn't want to confirm them, even if the man already knew it. "Will you let go now..," he mumbled again, the blush still on his cheeks, to his dismay.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Watching the boy's reaction, Dendera couldn't help but to think, 'You would be a lot happier if you'd just stop fighting yourself,' a small smile crossed his lips as his thoughts continued to dance in his head, 'it's not a bad thing to want to have someone around..at least I don't think so'. The thoughts just made him hug the reluctant vaporeon a little tighter. Silas really was a fragile little thing, he may know how to take care of himself in a fight but it was obvious that he had no clue what to do when it came to his heart and his emotions. It honestly kicked in Dendera's 'knight in shining armor' complex and just made him want to protect the man, give him comfort, and arms around him that he could trust.
He would win the vaporeon's trust, he was determined and once Dendera set his mind on something there wasn't much anyone could do to stop him. He was a very driven umbreon. It didn't take long for Silas to reject the hug, wanting free of it, obviously not enjoying being physical, most likely because of his trust issues. And of course followed by the command of silence. He hadn't expected the blue haired man to confirm his statement, he doubted that the boy would ever easily admit to any weakness. The strong front that he put on made him feel safe, Dendera assumed, and he seemed to have had enough fear for one day after the earlier outburst.
Dendera did as he asked, releasing him, though with hands still lingering over his shoulders and then trailing down to rest on his wrists. The umbreon couldn't help but to grin when he saw that blush that was becoming oh so common now. He reveled in the small sign of an innocent side to the man. But as much as he loved to see it, he figured that the vaporeon had been embarrassed enough for one day and so he did him the favor of changing the subject now. "So how long did you plan on staying here?" he asked, tender smile as he reached up a hand to brush back a piece of the man's blue hair from his face. "I can take you home whenever you would like, you're welcome here."

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" His eyes lowered at the hands on his wrists as the man spoke, and found himself idly thinking how much they looked like handcuffs. He couldn't tell if that was a good thing, or a bad thing, but decided to brush the thought off for the time being. Silas shifted again, pulling his wrists free and his legs up, bringing them to his chest and leaning back against the couch, his feet resting on the cushion. "It doesn't matter when I go back," he replied calmly, glancing over at the tv after a moment. "I'm not expected." It was true, his parents never expected him to leave or stay, they merely watched. They never asked him where he went, when he'd be back, what he did, just looked at him with a look like they'd given up on anything they were ever going to say to him. Silas didn't really mind it, though. To him, it was their fault things were like that between the three of them anyway. For him, they'd had 14 years to try and talk to him, to get involved with him, and they blew the whole thing.
"You live alone," he observed, resting part of his jaw on a knee and closing his eyes a little, "it's quiet." It was strangely relaxing, even though he wasn't completely alone. Surprisingly, he kind of enjoyed the man's presence, it wasn't hostile or hyperactive like most people he'd been around. It was somehow comforting, calming, though he couldn't put his finger on why.
He hadn't fully answered the man's question yet, and the rest of his words made him feel strange. Silas never went to anyone else's home, not even his band mate's. Whenever they brought up working on songs at one of the member's houses, he always skipped out. But, Dendera's home was different. It didn't feel empty like his own, even though it didn't have much decorating it. It felt warm, comfortable even, which was far different from how empty his house felt. He never did much in the place, anyway. The most he used was his own room, the bathroom, and sometimes the kitchen. Besides, he wasn't there half the time but wondering the city and playing his guitar, or attending his college classes. "I'll stay a little longer," he finally answered, his voice a little quieter than earlier with his eyes avoiding looking at the Umbreon. Though it was hard for him to believe, he enjoyed being in the man's house.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Dendera didn't quite understand why Silas was so stubbornly against being close to people, surely something bad must have happened in his life to make him that way. Dendera just didn't know what it was that could be that bad. The umbreon had been through quite a few losses in his life but never anything that knocked him down hard enough that he didn't get back up and just fight back harder.
"I guess." he responded when Silas made a comment on his living conditions. "I don't usually notice, I play a lot of video games, and like to go out." he smiled to himself, it was a fairly pleasant lifestyle for him, it suited him. "I suppose I'm used to it." The umbreon had become accustomed to spending most of his time by himself, or with the voices on his headset. In his childhood he had a father figure but that was only when he wasn't fighting the Muslims and then from age 17 until now he'd just lived by himself. He didn't really ever notice that it should be a lonely life, he kept himself far too busy.
When the boy finally responded that he would be staying, Dendera offered a big smile. "Good, then you'll play a game with me." he announced, as though the vaporeon didn't really have a choice, and he immediately pulled himself out of the couch cushions and headed for the shelves around the large television. He had a plethora of video games, really just about anything that you could want to play. But up on the shelf that was eye level were only first person shooters, obviously his favorites.
Somewhere around that area he found something that he thought would be suitable, he didn't want to grab a game that would have them playing against one another because he thought it would be rude. He didn't know if the boy was any good at games or not and didn't want to have to try to play badly just to even the score. Once he'd chosen the game, he popped it into the xbox 360 and grabbed up another controller, one already on the couch from when he was playing. "Left 4 Dead, it'll be fun." he said as he offered the man the second controller.

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" Silas listened as the man spoke, watching as he eventually moved over to one of the shelves near the tv and grabbed something. He was observing quietly, but still found himself curious. He knew what game consoles were, video games, as well, but never really played them himself. He usually found himself busy with studying or his guitar, which often left little time for anything else. It wasn't that he couldn't make time for them, he just never found himself very interested, or hadn't really bothered to try them.
"'Left 4 Dead'...?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow questioningly while taking the offered controller. It felt strange holding the object, almost as foreign to him as holding another person's hand, except it wasn't nearly as embarrassing or flustering. "I've only heard of the name here and there," he added in after a moment, looking back at the Umbreon for further explanation. His bands mates, and quite a few people he overheard in some of his classes had talked about it, though he'd never really paid much attention to the discussions. All he knew was that it had violence, gore, and that you could play it with more than one person. Beyond that, he had no clue what it was. His eyes darted back over to the tv as sounds started loudly coming from the speakers, watching the opening movie curiously and making a few amused and disgusted faces throughout the short video.

I'm not here for your entertainment You don't really wanna mess with me tonight x x x Dendera laughed at the vaporeon's obvious confusion over the game. He had honestly thought that anyone could at least figure out the control's but really if you never played very many games before it was understandable to be confused. The umbreon then took the oppurtunity to scoot closer towards Silas, holding his controller up to where the boy could see it. He quickly ran over what each button did and then turned his attention back to the screen.
"It's a zombie survival game, one of my favorite games." he was with a smile, happy to share his hobby. "There are the regular infected, pretty easy to kill come in large groups." he began explaining as he started up a game for them. He selected the Mercy Hospital, the easier level of the four different fields in his opinion. "And there are boomers, huge zombies, when they die they spit bile on you which attracts other zombies. It's best to kill them from a distance." he was explaining as the game loaded, watching the loading screen as though he were already ready.
"Hunters jump you and you can't get up until a teammate knocks them off. Smokers grab you with a long tongue and you can't get out of it until a teammate shoots them, unless you get a good shot in right as it grabs you." Dendera wasn't sure what more he could do then describe the infected, he wasn't very good at teaching so really Silas would just have to figure most of it out on his own with minimal help. "Then there are the witches, you'll hear them crying when you come close. If you shine a light on them or shoot at or near them or just get too close, you'll startle her. She chases and downs whoever startles her." the umbreon had a feeling that if they ran into a witch he would have to take her down fast, even though he was going to try to not play too hard.
"Lastly, there are the tanks. They're big bad and ugly, lots of health, lots of damage." once he finished, he grabbed his weapon of choice, the automatic shot gun. Some people would call it cheap but hell, he liked it. He also grabbed his first aid kit and was ready and then turned to Silas, to see if the vaporeon knew what to do now, hopefully he could just follow the umbreon's lead.

"He's a beautiful monster" "You're a knife, sharp and deadly" Silas listened carefully, glancing briefly at the Umbreon as he scooted over, but pushed it aside for now. He didn't know what he was doing and he needed to learn, and as the controller was new to him as well..he'd just have to deal with the proximity for the time being. "I..see.." he mumbled in return, examining the controller and trying to take in the information. He wasn't too bad at remembering things right off the bat, but he was a little on edge because his usual 'personal bubble' was being invaded and it wasn't like he was learning information that was practical. But, he tried to treat it almost like school work and followed suit, though it took him a few moments to get a basic understanding of the controllers' buttons.
After grabbing a medic kit and submachine gun, he made his character follow the Umbreon's since he wasn't quite sure what else to do, his focus now mainly on the game. It wasn't until some zombies came running at him that he jumped a little and made his character fire at random in their general direction. "I-I thought zombies were supposed to be slow pieces of crap!? What the hell!" he yelled at the game, pausing soon after and slapping a hand over his mouth, eyes a little wide. 'I..just...had an outburst...' he thought to himself, blushing faintly in embarrassment while sending a light glare over at the man, almost as a warning that he shouldn't comment on his actions, not that he could give a suitable answer anyway even if the man did say something about them. "N-Nevermind.." he trailed off, returning his attention to the game and making his character try to fire more accurately.
At some point during the game play, his position slowly started shifting. His legs were almost in a criss crossed position instead of up against his chest and he was leaning in in the direction of the tv, biting the inside of his lip while pressing buttons quickly. Silas hadn't realized it himself yet, but he was actually getting pretty into the shooter game. The Vaporeon was more relaxed than usual, and their proximity no longer seemed to bother him.
