She continued to walk thought slowly the sky was starting to lighten only barely. The edge of the forest wasn't too far off now. Ducking her head, she passed under a low branch as she walked having seen it with just enough time to duck. "Careful.. low limb.."

Ducking under the limb, Illidan let out a soft noise of annoyance, his long topknot having gotten caught in the small branches of the limb. "Wait a moment, Shoshanna." He moved his head a bit, trying to untangle his mane, but was only managing to make it worse.

Stopping, she turned and looked back " Everything alright?" As soon as she'd asked, she came closer to see what the issue was. Seeing his top knot stuck, she repressed a small giggle. So often had her own tail gotten stuck it reminded her of her own mishaps with hair. "Gimme a moment should get you free in a jiffy." Reaching up with her nose, she pulled at a few branches careful not to pull on his mane.

Illidan sighed and allowed the mare to help him. He'd try not to be humiliated, but it wasn't easy. "Thank you," he said softly, letting Shoshanna free him.

"No problem.. I'm use to untangling my tail.. Happens quite often really.." With a smile, she tugged at a few more branches and leaves. "You able to get free now?" She took a few steps back giving him his space.

Illidan moved his head around then down. "Yes, thank you. That helped." He ducked more under the low branch and stepped away from it. "I think we can continue on now."

"No problem. " Nodding, she turned and started back towards the forest's edge. Pale glimpses of the beginnings of sunrise were starting to filter through the leaves as she neared the edge of the forest. Taking a quick look around, she side stepped a bush and passed another few treas before finally standing at the edge of the forest. Her eyes went to the sky where she knew the splendid colors of morning to begin.

Illidan stepped up beside the mare, lowering his head a bit at the unfamiliar sunlight. After a moment, he, too, looked up at the sun rising, tilting his head slightly. "It is different from what I remember, but the last time I saw the sunrise, it was before I was... this."
He looked down at the mare next to him. "That thunder... is that the ocean nearby?"

Nodding she gave a crooked smile. "Yes.. it's the sound of the waves breaking on the sand... sounds like the waves are rather rough this morning.." She gazed off int the distance some before finally stepping out from the tree line. "It's this way..." The sun was creeping ever higher bringing some warmth to the morning air as she walked.

The stallion shivered a few muscles as he followed after Shoshanna as if shaking off non-existent insects. He glanced about, wary of any others approaching, but eased up as the two walked closer to the beach. "It's very calming here."

She looked at the ocean with a hint of disdain. "It sounds pretty.. yes...." Her hooves kicked up little bits of sand as she stepped making small divots in the sand as she passed. she was clearly giving the water a wide birth.

The stallion went up to the water's edge, looking down at the waves washing over his hooves. "This does not seem as dangerous as you had described. It's actually rather pleasant." He looked back at the mare with a slight smile.

Was he mocking her? Giving a light snort she looked out over the water peering at it intently before finally speaking. "I didn't thing so.. least not till that wave came down on me and tried to wash me away.." Her ears flicked back as the continued to look at the water. Clearly it was going to be a feat to get her to come to terms and trust the ocean again.

Illidan chuckled a bit. "I'm glad you weren't washed away, though. I can see where it might be rough, but for now it seems calming." He looked out at the horizon. "What do you suppose is on the other side of it?"

Her eyes followed his to the horizon. "I don't know... Maybe my home land?" She gave a small chuckle though she edged herself out to where the water just barely lapped at the sand. Settling herself down into the warmth, she sighed looking at the water rather loathing. "Illidan... maybe.. this wasn't such a good idea..."
