}i{ I've used both, and own both, and personally, I prefer my tarot cards. My oracle deck is amazing, and it gives me really in depth looks at things, but it's also more difficult for me to get them to make sense. And by that I mean for what they're saying to be understandable.
My tarot decks work much better for me, and of the two I own, I prefer my faerie deck. It gives me much more in depth readings than my vampire deck, and it's always clear what it's saying. Occasionally, it will play tricks on me or give me random readings that make no sense, but that's only when I'm looking for a certain answer and not being very broad about the reading.
In my experience, the decks that my friends have been given, rather than the decks that they've bought themselves, work much better. That's not to say that it's always like that for all of their decks, but it's the general consensus amongst my group that gifted decks work better for us. }i{
