Kayin purred delightedly when Kafele told him he had a best friend, his paws dancing lightly against the ground as the giddy feeling swept through him. So the Atmaja lion didn't think he was strange or wierd for not having lots of friends, as Kafele seemed to have. What else would he have been doing with those other cubs? They didn't seem like they'd been picking on him after all, though that had been Kayin's impression when he first saw them.
"Yeah!" he agreed eagerly, though his ears flicked with a touch of uncertainty. Kafele, surely, but himself? Well, he worked hard, it had to count for something. He probably wouldn't be the best, but he wasn't going to fall far behind the crowd. And it was so easy to get swept away with Kafele's enthusiasm, so delightful to know he had helped to inspire it.
He nodded his agreement, ever-happy to go along with his friend's ideas. "My mom says to watch your steps when you're being quiet, so that you don't step on anything," Kay offered as advice, dropping into a slinking crouch to follow along with his friend. How close could they get? Well, Kafe was good at hiding, so probably pretty darn close! And besides, no matter what happened, so long as they were together, it would be fun.
((Done then~ Do you wanna start another one of these two? Perhaps of after Kafele gets his big news? He could try to keep it from Kay, who knows there are heirs but not who they are...could be interesting-ish? ))
