   Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- Lara'Am I masochistic for adoring her, though?' Mercy asked Alfred telepathically.
"You too will never let up, will you?" Cindy piped up, looking at the two males in the room.
Comments were always being made between those two.
Lara didn't react at all until the needle pierced her skin.
It wasn't then that she started crying, it was when it's contents were injected into her.
Tears welled up in Lara's eyes and she began to blubber, burying her face in Alfred' jacket-like dress and crying.
If she couldn't see what was happening, then it wasn't there to her.

'No, it just makes you an idiot.' Alfred replied with a sly smile until Lara burst into tears and his priorities shifted.
Holding the little Ralts close he rocked her and tried to soothe he fears, all the while emitting rays of 'HATE' in Liena's direction.
The female Gardevoir rolled her eyes. Yeah, that little girl already had him wrapped around her tiny fingers.
Turning to Soren she hesitated. He had seen his sister erupt into sobs after the shot though he didnt seem bothered by it. He tilted his head to the side curiously as Liena stepped forward and proceeded to stick him with the other needle she'd dug from her case.
The male Ralts did nothing more than blink rapidly a few times, unhappy white explosions of light igniting over the black canvas of his mind before dimming down into serene blue ripples.
He stuck his hand in his mouth in content.
"He doesnt speak much does he?"
"Hasnt made a sound since hatching..." Alfred replied, his attention more on Lara who'd yet to cease crying.
"Do you think he may be a mute? Is that trait common in either of your families?" If not it was a very rare case.
"Not mine. Or...heh...at least I dont think so. Not sure if legendary can be disabled in any wa-"Oh damn.
His mouth snapped closed. Hadnt meant to say that.

Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraMercutio growled a little at Alfred's response.
Watching Liena apply Soren with the shot, the mother Gardevoir held her child closely just in case he cried, too.
However, the young boy seemed to take it with ease.
"I wish I could speak for our family. Mercy and I never knew them," She replied to Liena's questioning.
Lucinda then cocked an eyebrow in Alfred's direction after he spoke.
Oh, really now?
"... We have things to discuss, Alfy."
Uh oh, she said Alfy.
That meant s**t was goin' down.
Lara seemed to calm down in Alfred's arms.

Alfred frowned. How to go about this, be subtle or blunt. Lucinda would probably not appreciate him trying to avoid a direct answer so he sighed and steeled himself.
"Teacher's real name is Archer and he was my birth father."
Cue Liena dropped her brief case in alarm.
"What the-BUT...legendary have no gender! They cant have kids!"
"Semi-legendary can and they do with...consequences."
The female Gardevoir gave a shaky laugh, attempting to ease the tension.
"That doesnt sound so bad. It's not like your going to die or anything."
The Rebirth leader's mouth drew into a thin line and he turned away in silence.
"...oh...OH."
Alfred redirected his attention to Lucinda.
"I didnt want you to worry, Cindy. I've been trying to figure out a way to stop it." With no results aside from slowing the process down, but he'd keep that to himself.
"If anything we are all going to die if the balance isnt repaired soon, I've been focusing on that right now."
He just hoped he'd be around after they saved the day.
Hell, he hoped they saved the day.
Soren raised his arms, flailing for the edge of Mercy's cape.

Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraLucinda gazed down at Soren before closing her eyes and listening to Alfred speak.
For some reason, she knew it was all coming.
There was always some reason that Alfred was dying.
She'd come to expect this on a daily basis.
"..."
"Then find a way."
Lucinda looked up at her brother, who had stepped forward.
"My sister's children deserve a father when this is all over. Hell, I may not know a lot about all this legendary crap, but I'll help- any way I can," The Gallade said.
Lucinda's eyes drifted down to Soren, and then over to her daughter, who was lightly tugging on Alfred's jacket.
"I get more worried when you don't tell me things than when you do..." She spoke softly.

'I'll tell you everything from now on, cherie.'
The male Gardevoir gave a slight smile before reaching down to pry Lara's tiny hands from his jacket and then step forward to deposit her into Mercy's arms and with his other hand he took the now immobolized Gallade's glasses and placed them over Lara's eyes.
Without missing a beat he turned, pulled open the drawer of a nearby dresser and in the same motion spun back around.
"Say 'Meowth, that's right'!"
There was a 'clickclick' followed by a blinding flash.
"Your not such a bad guy, Mercy. Horrible picture taker, but an alright guy..."
Alfred tossed the camera to Liena who fumbled for it in the air in alarm and barely kept from falling over.
"Wha-what are you doing?"
"I'm in a ridiculously good mood right now, end of the world aside..." As he spoke he was turning to Lucinda to pluck Soren from her arms and hand her over to Liena.
The little Ralts didnt bite this time, far too curious over the camera she held in her other hand and he flailed for it.
"...so I'm taking Cindy to dinner! Thanks in advance for babysitting~<3" He pulled Lucinda to her feet before she could protest and teleported them both out.
"WH-WH-WHAT?! WAIT! NO!"
At her shouting Soren narrowed his little eyes at her.
"ALFRED YOU b*****d!"

Mercutio---&--- Lucinda---&--- LaraThe twins both blinked at the sudden mood change.
That was... spontaneous.
"Nyah!" Mercy whined as his niece was suddenly placed in his arms and his glasses were put onto a different face.
Lara remained still, rather confused as to why her father had flashed a light in her face.
She looked up at her uncle, those big glasses skewing her vision a bit.
However, since Mercy looked significantly like her mother, she had no objections.
"Alfred, what are you-.."
Lucinda began to speak, but she was teleported away before she could finish her sentence.
Mercutio stood there, utterly confused and disorientated with a baby in his arms.
"Umm... What now?"

Liena seethed silently. That b*****d had planned this or something! He was going to pay!
"I shouldnt be dealing with children! I deal with them enough at the hospital and this isnt fair!" She was more angry than upset, Soren was silent as usual in her arms. He took the females yelling rather well.

Mercutio---&--- LaraMercutio stood there, just looking around with a baby in his arms.
Subtly, he took his sunglasses and replaced them on his own face.
"I, uh... I've never even held a kid before..."
He was holding Lara in the motherly fashion that he'd seen Lucinda do, strengthening Lara's suspicions that this was just a manlier looking version of her dear mother.
"Hee!~" The baby cooed, wiggling a little.
"I'm scaaaaared..."

"I hope you realize I blame you for this." Liena's mood was not going to improve anytime soon. She had just escaped dealing with all sorts of kids at the hospital only to be tossed into another situation of the same kind.
It wasnt fair that she had to deal with children all the time when she'd never even had sex!
Soren, finally becoming annoying with the girl's attitude, closed his eyes and sent angry red blasts of color throughout both the adult Pokemon's minds.

Mercutio---&--- LaraMercy lowered his eyes a little and sighed.
Yeah, he was abused a lot, but he adored the woman.
One of his eyes squeezed shut as red bursts went through his mind.
"Eh, I don't think Soren likes us arguing..." He spoke.
Lara giggled and looked over at her twin brother.
She then began to flail her arms out toward Soren, whining a bit.
"Sh... Should we let them play a bit?" The hesitant Uncle asked.
He knew if even a scratch occurred on either one of these babies, his head would be mounted above the bed in this very room.

Liena nodded, already setting down Soren. He had been squirming so violently she'd nearly dropped him which would not have ended well.
The male Ralts immediately began to crawl about, exploring the new area which was far more spacious than his egg had been.
The Gardevoir sighed, at least she knew how to watch children, not that she enjoyed doing it all the time.
"...we are never having kids. I have to deal with them enough as is without having any of my own."
Mercy could get a pet Poochyena if it bothered him so much.

Mercutio---&--- LaraThe Gallade set Lara down on the floor as well.
The little girl immediately crawled over to her brother, poking his forehead and giggling.
Mercy's green eyes moved down again, hiding behind his black sunglasses.
"... Sure, whatever you want..."
He didn't know what it was about Liena, or any woman for that matter, that turned him into such a spineless wimp.
Normally he'd speak his mind, exclaiming that he had to have children eventually, to further his own legacy, but he didn't want to upset Liena.

Liena grumbled unhappily if only because she sensed he disliked her declaration but of course he wouldnt say a thing.
She WANTED to argue, it would relieve the tension she was feeling but she supposed now was not the best time to start beating up on Mercy.
She turned to watch Soren blink in confusion as he was suddenly assaulted with repeated pokes. He took it all in good stride, but finally got tired of it and vanished in a teleport.
The Gardevoir tensed, waiting for him to reappear and when he didnt both hands flew up to her mouth.
OH CRAP.
"Soren?! Soren!"
The little Ralts hadnt left, he was just under the bed and away from his sister's reach, but Liena did not realize that and continued to have a panic attack.

Mercutio sighed, shaking his head.
Welp, it seemed his time was now.
Until he noticed Lara at the side of the bed, looking under it.
She'd known where Soren was the whole time, their "twin ESP" having been intensified by their own psychic abilities.
The Gallade calmly got onto his knees and reached under the bed.
"C'mon, Soren. Uncle Mercy's gotta get you outta' there," He said gruffly, feeling around and trying to pinpoint the location of the young male Ralts.
