My name is Chrissy, I'm 17, and I live in Virginia. My family is Christian, but not adamantly (sp?). I consider myself as having no religion. I don't mean that I'm not a religious person, but simply that I would rather not tie myself down to any one belief. I'm a firm believer that there is one truth of existence that is beyond human comprehension, and that various people have attempted to explain it in different ways. In essence, every religion is a different interpretation of the same thing, brought to the level of human understanding. So I find it pointless to identify with a single interpretation.

On the other hand, I'm always interested in what other people believe and trying to expand my horizons. I have a pariticular interest in Buddhism, mainly because I tend to agree with more of the central ideas of Buddhism than some other belief systems.

I'm Robert, I'm 15 and live in new york. I've had a bad past, and had a history of violence, fighting and the sort, and drugs I was kicked out of my first school at the age of 12 and a half, the second at around 14, and when I came to my new school I met one of the teacher's who's a buddhist, and a tai chi taecher (trained in 3 styles of chinese martial arts) And he is like a role model to me, and I have been studying buddhism ever since.. I'm not really sure what I am, since I believe most of the things about it.

I learned most of the buddhist way of life through http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/basic-guide.htm
which is a buddhism basic guide, and it helped me alot. -=Smiles softly.=- So sorry if i'm ranting that's about it, i'm a martial artist and a buddhist and I enjoy helping other people, and my friends.

Hello all *waves* I prefer that people call me Sakakichan (or any other variations of that name); I say this because I don't want to give out my real name and I'm sorry if it seems silly to those who think I'm being silly about it.

I'm 19 and I live in Illinois. I grew up throughout my grade school career in a Lutheren Christian setting and when I attended high school, my eyes was opened to other religions. I do not have a religion, however, I am learning about other religions to see if any have similiar beliefs as mine. Christians would classify my as an *ewww* "seeker" (makes me think of Harry Potter) whereas I prefer to think I'm more agnostic.

I'm currently studying Islam and I have an interest in Buddhism. I hope that I learn more about Buddhism here and that through learning more about it, I will attain more knowledge that I feel I need to know to further my knowledge about religion/philosophies in general. Sorry if that seems wordy to anyone. sweatdrop Oh and PMs are good w/ me as well. heart

In real life I'm Frank, and 17. I became disenchanted with Christianity a year ago, when I started researching the Pagan faiths. I landed in Wicca, simply because I could find the most information about it of any pagan faith. I followed it for almost a year before coming to the conclusion that I really didn't beleive in a faith that was founded 50 years ago, that its practitioners are convinced is ancient, and is mainly populated by teenagers who want to rebel against their christian parents, but don't have the balls to become Satanists. A freind of mine who is a very devout Buddhist actually is indirectly responsible for introducing me to the Dharma, along with my interest in all things from Japan, China, etc. I borrowed a book on Buddhism from a freind of my mom's husband about buddhism in order to understand my freind's faith better, and found that it really felt closer to my beleifs than any of the pagan faiths. I am currently studying Buddhism and Yogi philosophy.

Introduction?.. okay..

I'm a chinese girl who lives in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden.
My name means "Royal Yellow"(my last name), "Imperial green jade" (my first name), but call me "Yu".

Ah.. what to tell about myself?... I became interested in buddhism trough "my culture" .. sweatdrop .. sorry for my bad english.. But I became aware of buddhism at the age of 9 and I've been a buddhist ever since.

I am 16 years old, going on 17 and go to my junior year in high school.
I train Kung Fu and Tai Chi, my shifu's shifu is a shaolin monk and he once told me that it's good to combine buddhism with the martial arts I study, so I guess that's what I'm trying to do right now.
Err... I've been training Kung Fu and Tai Chi for many years now.. can't really remeber how many since I was very young when I started.

Maybe not very much of an introduction..
