Okay, I figured out something that might actually work.
So, the parents of this girl put too much pressure on her, and she snapped, sometime at 16. She started drinking and sleeping around. At that point she befriended a girl that she previously held contempt for, Jasmine Blys who was a Senior at the time. (With Jessie's permission) She's smart enough to not want to get pregnant but a scare here or there is for her own amusement, yes she would leave the tests where her parents can find them. She did still manage to get into college, but that didn't last.
Now she works at the local dinner, her parents are ashamed of her, she has a small apartment in a small complex in Tallendale. When she has the extra money she drinks at the tavern (starting the day she turned 21), otherwise she drinks by the bottle in her apartment. She retained many mannerisms, such as wearing dresses and disliking annoying ticks; but she forcibly created in herself a hard candy habit, and plays with them in her mouth.
What do you think? She'll still be friends with Jasmine, but an odd animosity will linger because of the how different they were for so many years of school and the 2-year age difference.

Oh, Jasmine, corrupting those good girls. XD
The only issue is that Jasmine wouldn't really ever 'befriend' someone, since she always likes to assert the fact that she's independent. What you could say was that she was influenced by Jasmine and started attempting to be like her. (This would make Jasmine hate her. XD)
So basically, I just wouldn't call them friends, more like acquaintances.

I was thinking a little protege'. I would think that it was possible that Jasmine would have done so. If not, I could have it so that they just never crossed paths. Jasmine wouldn't have to hate her, Jasmine did things for the easy way, my character would just want to not be perfect-- and go way past that on the way. xD

GIMP, photoshop for cheap people that don't feel like pirating photoshop.
The 'select by color tool', when selected, will just move the image with the mouse (whole image) when I click anywhere.
