I like to read the Sherlock Holmes & Mary Russell books by Laurie King--also other good Sherlock Holmes, although that's getting hard to find since writers these days often don't seem to bother trying to emulate Watson's style, for one thing, which shatters the illusion right off.
I like anime; it's been filling the gap these Who-less years. My favorites are Full Metal Alchemist, One Piece & most especially anything made by Studio Ghibi--my favorites from them are My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away & Whisper of the Heart.
I love antique carousels, the kind with hand-carved figures. I love to ride them & to take pictures of them. I live right next to a city with a 1911 Denzel Menagerie Carousel that has been beautifully restored.
I'd love to get photos of antique UK carousel horses!
I also draw; been drawing ever since I could pick up a crayon & scribble with it. Used to do a lot of DW related cartoons & comics. Also got into a series of my own that started way back when I was starting High School. None of it has been published except some of the DW stuff, in fanzines. Good way to get issues, as trib copies!
I play video games sometimes, but I, like my Dad, am into retro systems & games. Newest thing I've got is a GBA.

Yeah, I saw several episodes of that.
Anybody remember a movie made back in the early '90's called (I think) "Sherlock Holmes: Baker Street 1993"? That was really strange--Holmes puts himself in a kind of suspended animation & is awakened in the 1990's. He set all this up in San Francisco for some reason & an earthquake damaged his capsule & revived him when he was shooting for a much longer sleep.
What is REALLY weird about this movie is all the parallels in the storyline to the DW TV Movie which came out a few years later...even down to the appearance & dress of Holmes...!

Recently I've been getting into Asian Ball Jointed Dolls. I like 1/6th and 1/4th scale. I want to make a couple of character dolls but its really expensive so currently I only have the one doll that is in my siggy.

One of my very best friends is very much into dolls.
She is extremely talented at lots of things & she sews costumes, dolls, doll costumes, & makes doll house furniture (for starters! sweatdrop )
This year she got a very expensive Japanese doll but I can't remember what kind it is. She's having loads of fun making it outfits & posting pictures of both it & her kids on her LiveJournal pages.

I read, write, draw, watch animé, read manga, customize MLPs, sleep, eat, watch TV, play Pokémon and Baten Kaitos and Zelda and Sonic, bleach my skin from the monitors light, search the streets for a shop that sells blue hair dye and poke the hell out of my younger siblings. Among other things. heart

Just curious... what are MLP's? The closest thing I could think of was My Little Pony, a toyline produced by Hasbro back in the 80's. They don't still make those... do they? Hasbro did a pretty funny April Fool's gag earlier this year when they announced the production of a My Little Pony Roleplaying Game using the d20 (Dungeons & Dragons) rules system...  And look, it's My Little Beholder!

I am a anime/manga fan. Well, actually, most anything from Japan really. I also will read any book that is good, preferably in the Fantasy/Sci-fi genre.
