With a bit of a kick to his step Suto left the room after gathering up his burnt lab coat. He seemed in high spirits as he locked the door behind himself, swiping the key card to make sure only he could enter. Moving along he headed down the hall and to the right to visit with his next 'patient.' Blade had surely interested him but nothing came close to the charm a woman held. While men did show fear and it was oh so delicious to watch them crack, there was something about the fear of a woman. It was elegant, poetic.
Needlessly straightening his crooked tie, Suto tossed his coat off to the side as he moved around the corner to look into the room. As with the rooms upstairs this one had a thick glass panel that separated the room from the hall allowing for easy viewing.

It's... So cold...
So cold...
Riyo's red eyes opened for the first time in this strange place. First only blinking a few times, then cracking open. Not fully, but enough to where she could look around. She couldn't sit up... Or move, for that matter. Oh, how she wanted to. Whatever she was laying on, and wherever she was... It was very cold. Colder than any winter had been in the forest. She wanted to curl up and go back to sleep, because she felt like she was hit by a truck.
It must've been a dream or something. Because no one was there to greet her when she woke. There were no faces to look at her. No hands to to touch her. No voices to stir her. In fact... It was dead silent.
"Yuki?" Her cracking voice called into the echoing room which only responded with the exact same voice. "H-hitsu? Mitsu? Blade? Poke?" Again, it was only herself.
"Atticus?"
"Neko?"
She waited for a response this time, and when the echo faded, her eyes closed. "Maybe... They were the dream. What a great ending that would make." she mumbled to herself and shook her head.
"And the monster awoke from the only paradise she had ever experienced, the fruit of life plucked from her lips, only allowing her to sample the sweetness. Then all was dark again. The end."

This one was certainly interesting looking, Suto mused. Leaning against the glass he watched the girl carefully as her eyes fluttered open to reveal crimson orbs. She seemed to be calling out to someone, no doubt her friends. What did she think happened, he wondered? Quietly he watched her for a moment longer, she seemed to be talking to herself. Too bad he had made these rooms sound proof because he was unable to hear a single word. He could only guess at what she was saying by watching her lips.
Smile anew, Suto moved back to the hall and to the door that led to her room. With his key card in hand he swiped it through the machine beside the lock and a beep sounded to let him know it was open. Gripping the handle lightly Suto stepped into the room, his eyes focused on the only living thing there.

At the abnormal beeping sounds coming from the door, Riyo's head turned to face the noise. "I was sort of expecting some other man with an unsettling grin to walk through that door, but I suppose that would be too simple." The semi-delusional girl mused, not particularly phased by the unidentified man's appearance.
"So, are you another figment of my cruel imagination, or am I dead?" There was a possibility she hadn't considered. "If that's the case, than Hell sure is cold. Either way, I figure I'm-" she paused and attempted a wiggle. The sounds of tight jingles rung through her ears. "Chained. For a reason, and asking for a blanket would be too much trouble."

Pushing his glasses up onto his nose, Suto let the door close on its own as he walked to the girl's side. Another man with an unsettling grin? "I'm sorry to disappoint." Suto mused pulling up a chair to sit beside the girl's table. As she continued to ask her questions he merely took in her appearance.
"You are neither dead nor in hell, though some may tell you that you may wish for either after you're here for a while. That's what I hear anyway." Picking up a lock of the girl's golden hair he let it slip between his fingertips, gravity taking it from his grasp. "A blanket would also be in the way." That same smile reached to his eyes as he turned to look into Riyo's scarlet orbs. "Might I ask your name?" She seemed talkative enough though her attitude was a bit peculiar. Almost as if she were already broken.

"No disappointments here." Was the girl's first response. She was semi-relieved, honestly. Though, who knew how long that would last...
She watched him play with her hair, not saying a word about it. That was also a relief, since she could feel it. This wasn't her imagination, but it figured that no blanket would be placed over her now goosebump-infested body. "Riyo. Just Riyo."
"And who might you be, stranger?" The now identified Riyo asked softly, wondering what this character's name would be. She attempted to adjust herself, if only a little but, but failed. She had already figured that comfort was out of the question as well, so she didn't ask about that.

"Riyo, a very lovely name." When she asked for his he was honestly a little surprised though his face hardly showed it. Normally no one ever asked for his name and when they did it was in the form of a scream asking 'Who the hell are you?' Or something along those lines. "Suto. Suto Adolphus. He honestly didn't expect his name to ring any bells. He did well to keep it out of the main stream of hearsay in the world beyond his lab.
"So what do you remember before now?" Suto was curious, especially considering her current state of mind. He rarely had subjects who had pre-broken wills before he ever got a chance to enjoy himself. It was a shame really but it also made work so much easier.

Suto. Hm... Nope. It didn't ring any bells or set off alarms. Maybe if Poke hadn't been avoiding the topic, Riyo would've known what the hell she was getting herself into. "Ah, you have a second name too. Fancy."
Maybe it was better that she didn't know....
"Not... Too much. I remember this huge city of dragons and a hot desert... And all of my friends being there... Then poof. I'm alone. When I try to think about it, I feel like there were screams..."
She paused. Her face changing from simple recollection to focus. The last time she had blanked out like this, there was the taste of blood in her mouth when she woke up. Really, she was just jumping to conclusions and it could've been a simple hit on the head, but...
"T-they're not dead, are they?"
"Did I kill them?"

"Help me... please..." he pleaded pitifully. Starved, freezing, and battered, Blade was hardly able to move with the heavy shackles that tethered him to the wall of his cage. Standing on the other side of the cold bars were several people, looking in on the gaunt and ill-looking man.
"Heh. Yeah right," snorted one of the dark haired men as he put an arm around a white haired woman with a white canine tail, "This is where you really belong."
"... I thought..." Blade started, only to be interrupted by the blonde woman with cat ears and red eyes.
"You thought what? That we were friends with someone like you? Don't delude yourself."
"You were never one of us, human," sneered another, whose black and white feline tail swayed from side to side out of agitation. His sister nodded in silence, not wanting to waste her breath on the likes of the caged one.
"Nng.." he groaned as he weakly writhed on the table. For awhile he had been fairly still, but that had changed as soon as nightmares began to plague his mind. The thief remained unconscious for the time being.

Oh the joys of a tattered mind in need of repair. To bad Suto wasn't the one to issue such help. He never lied but he also was very good about never telling the full truth. "Dead?" He shrugged lightly. "Who's to say?" Seeing that he still had blood on his hand he merely wiped it on his pants before he continued. This was rather easy, a little too easy. Where was the fun in that? "All I can say is that you are alone." Standing from his seat he rolled up his sleeves, the singed one giving him a bit of issue since the fabric wanted to crumble.
Briskly he walked to the cabinets and started to open drawers to see what was available to him in this room. Perhaps he would need to leave and retrieve his bag of goodies from the room he had just left. "So my dear, where do you come from? I'm going to assume from the West but is there a more specific location? Do you have a tiny village nestled away in the wood or do you hail from a city?" He knew that she was from no city, but it never hurt to ask. Throwing words out into the pool of someone's mind you never knew what you might catch.

Riyo's face turned white when Suto neither confirmed or denied her suspicions. T-there was still a chance that they were alive. But...
Her eyes happened to catch the still-mysterious man wiping something red off on his pants. She knew what it was. She could smell it... And it was familiar.
Her eyes focused on the red smear, but she answered his question while her mind was elseware. "... Did. Have a tiny village in the woods. I... I couldn't tell you the exact location or area, because I left when I was 6 and only saw it again momentarily."
She paused, then added. "Everyone who was there is dead now, so I suppose you could consider it abandoned."

"Oh I see and what pray tell happened to them all?" He smiled to himself as he pulled more syringes from the drawers and set them in neat little rows along the counter. These varied in sizes from small insulin needles to needles meant to go through the thickest of hides on the largest of animals. Once he was pleased with their arrangement he went back to rummaging the drawers as if looking for treasure, always listening to what the girl had to say.

"I killed them." Riyo said simply. She wouldn't deny it. "Men, women, and children." She didn't sound proud or sad about it. It was like she was telling a story of some mishap had happened to her on her travels.
Though, her eyes were still on that stain. She had glanced momentarily at the needles, but since she had no idea what they were used for, it didn't frighten her as much as it probably should've. That scent. She knew that scent...

Suto gave some thought to her words, though he only showed amusement. If he was to assume correctly that meant a child of six had gone through the village and massacred them all. Not completely unlikely but a very funny image to see. Then another thought came to mind something that made him think of the past. Instead of asking a question he would give her a tale. It would be interesting to see how she reacted since the story was rare and he had yet to hear of an outcome of sorts. But it was something that had originated from the west, a story he knew well of and had wished to learn more about.
As he pulled scalpels from his drawer and set them in the line, blade to the left under the syringes he began to speak. The tale came off as a poem and it flowed from his tongue as such.
"Cursed be the devil cat Who haunts the dead of night. With fur as black as midnight And eyes as red as blood. Be wary children, listen now Your life may be at stake."
He turned back to look at her, one of the scalpels still in his grasp. The light glistened off the spotless steel showing no flaw in its make.
"The black cat will come again To repeat his vicious deed. Blood will flow like rivers Screams will ring like bells. Death will be upon us And to all this may be hell. Sins of time born again All life will meet its end. Be wary of the shadow For the thirteenth hour is near."
He stepped up beside her again, that devilish grin tugging at his face. Of all the poetry he knew he enjoy this story the most. Mostly because of the possibilities of its truth.

Riyo had recognized it from the first sentence. She knew it by heart. It was what the children had chanted at her as they tossed their rocks and kicked their dirt. Something her own Mother had once recited to her right before that woman went to Hell.
As he approached her with that scalpel, her memories stuck with a vengeance. Instead of Suto, it was her Mother now standing over her with that old knife, ready to end everything. "No..." She whimpered, ears falling back against her head. "Mother... Please don't..."
As the chanting continued, Her cries grew louder while her red eyes grew larger, red tears filling the corners, accenting the fear. "No! NO! YOU'RE DEAD! I TOOK YOUR HEART OUT!" She screamed, her hands now shaking furiously. There was a black liquid seeping out of her palms now... And appeared to flow more rapidly the closer he got.
