When he had watched Fairyn go off he had went off too. He had watched them quietly, keeping his breathing down to bare minimum and sometimes not breathing at all. The fight had been rather impressive and Fairyn had proved herself. Of course she would and on top of that she was going to be an Alpha of her own pack! Amazing! How he loved her even more. Although Icarus might be his alpha now Fairyn would be his alpha forever and after. At the end he held in a chuckle, Oghren however hadn't seen much of the battle but by the sparkle he saw in Andragos' eyes he knew that he was proud of Fairyn, he had only talked his ear off about her and he knew that she had done good.
Starting forward he grinned at both. "Well that was just amazing." He bowed his head at Icarus and Oghren, who had climbed onto his back, did the same. "Once again you've both baffled me just like at the Alpha tournament. Leadership is in both of you. Don't doubt your powers." His glowing gold eyes sparkled, "And you Fairyn. You told me you had lost the warrior in you, look its still there. No need to doubt yourself." Then he looked at Icarus. "Were she not my mate, I would have a tough decision on who to follow. But you know my vote, I will stick by her."

Faiyrn saw Andragos approach and she looked up at him, smiling brightly, tail wagging a mile a minute. "Andragos, how long have you been watching?" she asked, she looked at Oghren and smiled, greeting him as well. She heard his praise and lowered her eyes in that shy, flattered manner and giggled. "Thanks Hon."
Her cerulean orbs gazed into the glowing gold eyes that were his and she laughed softly. He didn't quite seem to get the entire meaning of all of this. "I'm not the only Alpha here Dragos. You're my mate. You are Alpha male." she said with a grin.

"Since you both began the fight." Eyes grew wide, "Me too?" He asked looking at Icarus, then gave a hearty laugh with a few barks in between. "We'll make a fantastic pack really." He looked at Icarus, how well the male had fought and how brilliantly he had held on. But the sneak attack by his mate was daring. "I don't know what to say." He replied. "I'm shocked."

Icarus smiled at the wolf who had approached, wondering if the wolf had either snuck in after he had done the check for watchers or beforehand. He'd rather not have doubt in his ability, but he knew Dragos was of the Haven pack, meaning he knew Forest stealth. Icarus bowed his head in a return greeting, noticing with a quirk of his lip that the turtle on the dark wolf's back had done the same. "Don't worry, 'Dragos, I fully expected you to leave with your mate. It's only right."
He turned his attention to Faiyrn as she spoke, smirking at how excited she had become by his presence. Truly, they cared for each other. That was when Faiyrn dropped the news. Once more a deep chuckle rumbled through him and he turned to look at Andragos. "Well I say congratulations."

Faiyrn smiled and her tail stopped midwag. "I wonder now, how we tell everyone else?" she murmured thoughtfully, sitting down. She hadn't thought about that... "We could go back to the Forest, get one of the nurses to take a look at you." she said to Icarus. She licked Dragos' cheek and smiled. "Besides, why wouldn't you be Alpha? You Are my mate after all." she said smiling softly.

"Good point. I'm just surprised." He gave a half-grumpy look at her that was pretty playful. "Thank you Icarus. Now go find yourself a mate. Sheesh." He gave another laugh. "Not rushing you at all Icarus. You've got plenty of time to look for a mate." He turned and licked Fairyn back. "Give an announcement maybe? Icarus can appoint you as another Alpha, explaining there are just to many to keep together. That can cause disorganization, even with an alpha. Plus we are all new. The packs of old could hold many but they had years upon years of practice on holding it together."

Icarus also wondered for a moment as to how they would declare this to the other wolves. However, 'Dragos' suggestion caught him off guard. His pale-blue eyes went wide and blank. It took him a few seconds to recover; he appeared to be staring off into space. "Wel... I-I- Umm..." He sputtered. The thought had crossed his mind, an Alpha female would clearly help him through this and he had thought of himself lonely at times. But there had yet to be a female to catch his eye, none had truly appeared to him just yet as a wolf he'd be interested in. Still, he did not know other wolves personally, it was mostly the sense of joining the group as a pup that had made him feel so different.
He did envy the bond 'Dragos and Faiyrn shared, hoping that he could find a similar connection somewhere. Icarus nodded his head and mentally noted to himself that he would keep his eye out for the time being. "...thanks?" He mumbled, unsure of what to say. He was still rather young and very inexperienced with females his own age.
But there were other matters to attend to. Andragos' suggestion of an announcement sounded solid. Icarus thought about it and imagined how he could say it to his pack. "I think that's good..." He said, trailing off as he tried to word what he could say. Suddenly he felt nervous, knowing announcing this so soon would be a difficult thing to do.

Faiyrn listened to her mate tease the younger male and chuckled. "Females are just another thing to add to your stressful TO-DO list, thankfully you don't have to worry too much about getting to that any time soon." she told the male with a small, reassuring smile. "We should probably start heading back soon." she realized. "The others will be wondering where their alpha has gone... And Icarus, if announcing this bothers you, I can do it."

Andragos nodded at him. "I was just kidding. Like Fairyn said, plenty of time." He got up, Oghren had been extremely quiet, most likely just letting the wolves talk about what needed to be talked about. Likely had something to say later though. "We can wait a bit longer, but I don't think keeping them in the dark would be wise for too long. The pack is growing almost exponentially. It would be bad to be trying to figure out who goes to what pack so that its not to bad for either, and the Darkness is growing out there. I can almost sense it's watching us. Laying in wait."

Icarus turned his head away and flattened his ears as the blood rushed to his face. He was grateful for the fur that covered his skin, hiding his embarrassment. Icarus stood up at Faiyrn's words, realizing his wounds didn't hurt as much due to Faiyrn's thorough cleaning. "No, their alpha should tell them the news." He said, completely serious.
He turned to 'Dragos as listened to him speak, remembering the turtle on his back had heard all. His ears flattened at the thought of what he had heard. Then Andragos' words caught his attention. "I figure those willing will leave my pack for yours', I'd rather not force any to leave nor stay." At the mention of the Darkness, his pale-blue eyes scanned the area out of paranoia. Their most recent meeting with the Darkness reminded him that it was always there, laying in wait as 'Dragos had said. "I agree, we should get going. This group of wolves need to be organized, fast."
Icarus began to pad towards the forest towards the clearing, leaving the pair behind. He paused for a moment and looked back, waiting to see if they were following. The longer they stalled, the more the Darkness had a chance of striking an unorganized group of wolves.

His golden eyes watched the brute for a moment. Icarus looked different when he announced that he would tell his pack. It was best for the alpha to announce it to his pack, that way it didn't just seem like Fairyn and him were abandoning them. "You have a point, but there are many of us there. We don't know what will happen. However we'll just need to wait and see."
As Icarus started forward he did to, Oghren holding on tightly to the wolf's pelt so he wouldn't slid off. "Let's not get caught unawares." He waited for Fairyn for a moment before following the alpha back. It would also be good to not lose Icarus, that could cause hysterics with the new pack if their alpha was killed as soon as he was appointed.

"Oghren, it's a pleasure to see you. Welcome to the family, I suppose." she said, wagging her tail and touching her nose to the turtle's head in kind greeting. She listened to the males talk and discuss and she nodded in agreement. "We should definitely make it soon as possible." and with their movements she followed quickly, trotting at Andragos' shoulder.
