Lilith chuckled dryly and looked away, thoroughly embarrassed. Why, why, why, why, why, why, WHY, Arceus? Why does it always have to be ME? She fingered the bright red strand of hair by her face unconsciously as she pondered what to say next. Finally, she sighed. "Well then, it seems that we're both new at this. I-I mean... W-well, not this as in, like..." Lilith stammered her words as she became more and more annoyed and flustered. Dammit... Why am I an idiot?! She sighed. "All that this is is a deal. We had a battle and I won, so you get to pay for my lunch. That's all." She was simultaneously telling this to Sorano and to herself. Arceus, kill me now.

Sorano coughed as his features were painted a dragging scarlet that stretched to his ears. If Arceus knew the attack Torment, he was certainly using it right now. The teal haired grunt felt like he was diving back to his teenage years. It was a nostalgic feeling unwanted.
"Y-Yea, leavin' it at that be a good . . . idea." he nodded. "Is not like I am glad or anehthing that I lost so I git tha chance ta buy ya lunch er' somethin', not at all . . . "
As of right now, Sorano had turned his little nervousness into a new form of teasing. Sure, it was embarrassing to say such a thing . . . but it entertained him if he had a chance to childishly pester her a little more.
"Flare!" cried Never, which loosely translated to, "Look ahead, idiot! We're here!"
"Ah, look a'ead Lili!" Sorano chimed. "We be 'ere!"
Finally.

Lilith nodded and chuckled a bit, infinitely relieved that some of the tension had been lifted and the nerve-wracking part was over. "No, no, of course not," she replied in a teasing tone. She gave him a small glare, but it was fleeting. She looked ahead at Never's cry and she saw that they had indeed arrived at their destination. She gave Ziazan and small squeeze and quickened her pace slightly. "Now to find a good Italian restaurant," she said excitedly. All of that walking gave her an appetite and she was looking forward to eating as much as she wanted.

An inhalation of air was all Sorano need to calm his shivering insides.
"Flare!" cried Never like a baby would do when it wished to be picked up. Sorano did exactly so. The Flareon had grown tired walking the desert. Sure, it was heated but that battle he had with Lilith's malevolent Charizard had made him a little weak. Ugh.
Fluffiness clouded Sorano's vision for a small moment as he turned Never about to get a good grip on him. Noticing he had tracking back behind Lilith, he quickened his pace to reach back to a shoulder to shoulder stepping order with her.
"Ah, tha restaurant I know of be jus' 'round this corna." he said and pointed his finger around one of the blocks.

Lilith held onto Ziazan [who had fallen asleep due to the heat] a little tighter as they progressed onward. It was not often that Lilith got out to the cities. It was odd, being around so many people and not knowing any of them. She was always a bit squeamish around strangers, but she tried not to let her guard down. Even when she was dressed like a normal trainer doing completely normal things, she had to be careful not to let anything slip that would give her or Sorano away. Lilith looked around the corner that Sorano mentioned and, sure enough, there was a small Italian restaurant sitting there. her mood lightened substantially and she smirked at Sorano. "I sure hope you have lots of money with you, because I'm starving!"

Sorano grimaced. He indeed had some money he had saved for the passed couple of weeks. He wasn't one to spend money all willy-nilly like he was today, so of course it was going to bother yet. He attempted to shrug it off several times, from leaving the base to the city yet the lingering feeling did not leave. Sorano just let the little rascal stay . . . there was no way in the current four hundred ninety-three Pokemon and more to come it was going to leave.
"Sorano!" cried but one voice at the restaurant as he approached and entered follow by other cheerful calls of the six lettered name. From just this alone, one could guess he was quite the frequent customer there. He held open the door with his foot and beckoned Lili inside.
" 'urry a'fore this stubborn thing closes. This door be havin' problems fer ages an' ya don' want ta git slapped by it." he chuckled.

Lilith was surprised at how many people in this restaurant knew Sorano, or at least recognized him. Almost everyone in the small establishment looked up and greeted Sorano as he entered. It was not an exaggeration to say that Lilith was very uncomfortable here. As she saw the smiling faces, it only reminded her of how anti-social she really was. But things like this... like having a meal with a friend or acquaintance... Things like this would help her come out of her shell. Lilith quickly entered through the door before it swung shut on her. She kept Ziazan close to her so as to not to lose the baby Pokemon and followed Sorano in. "You're certainly popular around here..." she remarked casually.

"Aha . . . these peeps a'ways welcome back comers with 'pen arms." he said. "If ya start comin' here from time ta time 'gain, ya mights git buddy-buddy with em' too."
A table was chosen in the back of the restaurant and Sorano promptly seated himself as if he owned the joint. The two were later approached by a portly, balding man who grinned a fair smile at Lilith and did some sort of intricate handshake with Sorano and patted his back. He ruffled Never's head fuzz too, to which the Flareon loved.
"Welcome to the greatest restaurant in Camphoreon, missy." spoke the large man. "Name's Vin and I own this restaurant. Who might you be? Sorano's main squeeze until he dumps you like a pile of bricks?"
Sorano shot the man a glare and he just laughed heartily. "So what can I get you two? I can start you off with some drinks. Usual for you Sorano, mug of the strong stuff?"
Sorano shrugged. Just because he was in the company of a very pretty girl didn't mean he was going to pass up some good stuff.
"Yea, yea." he nodded.

Lilith grunted and silently followed Sorano to the back of the restaurant. She took a seat opposite him and looked around her. All she could see were friendly faces worn by friendly people. It all was a bit unsettling. She did her best to ignore the other people. Lilith gave a small smile to Vin and took a look at her menu. After a long moment, hey eyes widened and she began clawing at the side of the table. Main squeeze? What the hell was that supposed to mean?! She sighed and gave a look to Vin. "Some iced tea for me, please."She put down her menu and glanced at Sorano. "So... What's good here?"

Mister stubby and stout moved on to get the two their drinks, steam erupting from the back kitchen as the sounds of clanking metal and sizzling meals fizzed the air momentarily through the open door. Sorano wasn't looking at his menu. The palm of his hand was clutching the inner side of his jaw as he stared around and drummed the fingers of his free hand. He glanced back to Lilith for that one bit of time to answer.
"I'ms gettin' me tha usual, meat sub. Ya can git anehthing ya want . . . anehthing on tha 'nu is good, haha."
"Here you go, you two . . . "
Returning from the back kitchen, Vin placed down Lilith's glass of iced tea in front of her. Sorano chose to accept his little float of ale by hand, sloshing down a heavy drink and wiping the foam that collected on his upper lip.
"Aha, hopes ya don' mind me choice a drink." he apologized. "Some peeps I know don' like ta be 'round otha peeps who be lush heads."

Lilith smirked. "Meat sub, hm? Doesn't sound too bad." She took another look at the menu and began skimming the dishes. Finally, she found one dish that piqued her interest. "Huh... I'll probably get the chicken linguine with calamari on the side." She placed the menu back on the table and placed her chin in the palm of her hand, looking out the window. Lilith looked back to Vin, who had brought them their drinks. She gave a small nod and thanked the man before she saw Sorano's choice of drink. She pursed her lips slightly, then shrugged and took a sip of her iced tea. She looked to Sorano. "I really don't care. It's your choice, after all. Just so long as you behave, I'm fine." She sighed and took another sip. This lunch could prove to be interesting...

"Flareon!" cried Never. He jabbed Sorano's side with his paw and this broke the trance of his common habit to people watch. Another sign, which could be loosely translated to, "Liven up the area a bit! Say something, idiot!"
"Ahh . . . ahh . . . " His voice choked a bit and he took a swig to calm the inning members of his throat. He than began, "So, ahh, what made ya join . . . y'know . . . TR?"
Abbreviating their organization's name was the best he could do while out on the town surrounded by a many who know him. News travels fast in these parts. Best to keep his voice on the down low.
"I be almost-sorta-kinda forced inta it by my bud. Can't say I 'gret joinin' though."

Lilith looked up, surprised by the question. "Uh... W-well..." She bit her lip and glanced around her. Everyone seemed to be minding their own business. Her eyes strayed out the window and she chewed her lip in thought and apprehension. Should she answer...? "Well... I joined sort of by my own will, but..." She glanced warily at Sorano and lowered her voice. "I have something important to do. Important for many reasons. It's a goal that I have. But... In order to achieve that goal, I need..." She strayed off, looking away. Her voice got very quiet. "I need friends. I hardly have any... I'm just... just such an anti-social person." Lilith exhaled through her nose and cast her eyes downward. She felt miserable and pathetic for revealing all of this to someone she hardly knew, but she needed someone to know.

"Wells, ya gots one here." Sorano said enthusiastically with a thrust of his thumb to his bosom. "So stops bein' so 'pprehensive Lili-girlie!"
Vin came by with their ordered food and thumped down Sorano's sub and Lilith's plate o' linguine and chopped Octillery calamari. Vin gave him a nod and Sorano replied with a grave stare. Ah, that man sure was . . . something else. While Vin was there, he tossed a leg of meat at his Flareon to chew on. Of course, that was going to make the Flareon delighted.
With that, Sorano got to om nom noming his sandwich and swigging his drink like there was no tomorrow. He was hungry for sure.

Lilith's eyes drew wide and she blinked a few times. After a few long moments, she smiled happily. "Thank you, Sorano."Lilith received her food with delight and began wolfing it down, taking small sips of her tea in between the large bites of food. After a few minutes, she began to slow down and, while nibbling on some of the calamari, she looked to Sorano. "So... You were almost-sorta-kinda forced into joining by your friend, hm? What's your friend like?"
