Xiulong gave a smile as he pushed up to his feet and reached out to take hold of Qiu Shui's upper arms since it was a part of him that appeared to be uninjured and helped him up that way, "There we go! Now, if you get tired tell me and we will return back here." He told him, giving him a smile before he started toward the door before he paused with his hand on it, turning to look over his shoulder at the dark haired boy, " My name is Xiulong." He said, it was the name that Master Di had given to him when he'd been born and because the name was given to him by that particular person he was quite quite proud of it.
He opened the door and looked back and forth down the hallway before motioning to Qiu Shui, "Come on, the coast is clear so we are free to wander without being bothered." For at least the moment anyway, some of the men that served Master Di were disgusting and dirty creatures, ones that Xiulong disliked greatly... but he wouldn't allow himself to worry to terrible over it since he wasn't really as weak as he might seem. If one of them started something the blue haired boy would be sure to end it.

Qiu Shui, delighted to be allowed to venture out, leaning heavily on the other's shoulder. He was tired.. Very tired.. But he wanted to see what Xiulong's world was like.
Though he didn't ask, he still happily gave up his own. "My name is Qiu Shui... Xiulong.. It's such a strong name~"
He felt so safe.. Like nothing could go wrong now that he had this other with him.. He couldn't help but think they were the same in some way, though he just began to ignore that thought after a while. This boy was strong and kind and brave.. He himself was just a coward.
"I smell soaps.. Are we in a bath house?"

He gave a little smile and a nod, "Thank you, Master Di gave me my name." He said, giving a happy sound as they walked along down the hallway. He looked around in a manner that seemed cautious before his attention was back on Qiu Shui once more. He gave him a smile and a nod, "Yes, we are. Its Tian Mi's place, Qiang Di set it up for her and its where a lot of us stay when we aren't out working." Qiang Di referred to what their group did as working though it was a different sort of job, not one that was in anyway legal that was for sure but they never seemed to be hassled as those related to the law were either bought off or dealt with in a manner that was a bit on the brutal side. It was up those men to decide which path they wanted to take though the Master had always told him.
"The baths here are pretty nice, Tian Mi has soaps that smell like all manner of things... though no matter what one I use I always smell the same afterward." He said with a bit of a chuckle.
As they approached the big, common area there were a lot of voices, those of some of the other men and Xiulong wrinkled his nose a little before he paused at the entrance to the area, looking around before he perked up seeing what it was that he was looking for, "Are you hungry, Qiu Shui?" He asked, looking over at the boy with the long, pretty hair. He gave a smile as he looked back out there, one of the tables had a lot of food laid out on it for the men to take what they wanted. Seeing it he found his stomach grumbling a little and he was willing to stand against the fools who were already drinking heavily to get what he wanted from the food table.
"Why Master Di puts up with some of those fools is beyond me." Xiulong muttered, sounding more then a little zealous in his love and devotion to his Master but it wasn't something he could help since the man was the first one he'd seen when he was born from the blue lotus.

"A very suiting name. Your master must be a very wonderful man. I can't wait to meet my master someday, if they are anything like your master.." Qiu Shui's tone carried a sound of sadness, though he let it pass over relatively quickly, squeezing Xiulong's arms just a bit. He began to dream about his perfect master.. It would have to be someone strong, someone galliant, with eyes as clear as glass. Well, not THAT kind of eyes.. But Eyes that he could see deep into, eyes that were honest, and kind, but strict when need be.. Yes.. The perfect master...
With his luck, however, he's get a master just like Madame Chio.. Someone rough and cruel.. Someone who would destroy his mind.. His body.. Someone who would make him into just a simple doll to be put on a shelf, or laid on a bed to be used when they wanted.
No. NO! He wouldn't think about that right now. He was going to enjoy his time with Xiulong! That was his job right now, and he would do it to his best extent~!
When the scent of food wafted into his nostrils, a large, grumbling sound came from his stomach, causing him to blush once more and nod. "Yeah.. I'm just a bit hungry.. But... I don't have any money.. And at any rate.. Wouldn't we have to wait our turn?"

Xiulong looked over his shoulder to look at Qiu Shui before giving a little smile, "I hope that you end up with a powerful Master like mine as well." He told Qiu Shui, wondering if he would end up with a man as good as Master Di was. Since he rather liked his new friend he would hope that he ended up with a good Master.
He looked around at the other men in the room before he shook his head at Qiu Shui's question, "Naw, if we waited our turn there would be nothing left but half eaten food that was touched a lot." He explained, "Come on, stay close to me and we will get something to eat." He told his friend as they started forward through the room. The bluenette kept his head held high and ignored the words of those around him, dodging out of the way of any errant hands as well. His nose wrinkled as he helped his friend to keep just out of reach as well, annoyed by the idea that these lowlifes would be trying to touch what was meant to be his tonight.
He smiled as they reached the table and he motioned to his friend, "Here, grab a plate and fill it up." He told the other boy, looking around to keep an eye on those around him. The boy was pretty to look at and appeared to have a rather sweet nature to him but when people started to tick him off he could mimic his Master quite well.

"I hope so too.."Oh no.. Oh no oh no oh no.. This was just like how this whole thing started! A group full of men.. Food.. Hot tea... And his scent.. His scent was a natural aphrodisiac for men and women alike.. it was dangerous to enter such a place like this.. He heard catcalls, and felt as if his robes were going to be tugged at.. He hated this.. oh how he hated this!!
Xiulong was protecting him though.. Keeping those who would abuse him away just like a net would keep the insects away. Thinking this, he nodded to Xiulong, taking a plate and adding piece of food upon piece of food on it. He was never fed this well when he was at the shop!
"We.. We're not eating in here, are we...?"

Xiulong looked over at the men that were tugging on Qiu Shui's clothing, giving them his best glare as he was trying to do his impression of Master Di which got a couple chuckles from some of the men. It was difficult to look scary when one had a pretty face like the bluenette had. He rolled his eyes before turning to look over at his friend as he started to gather food from the table for himself. It would seem as though he were quite hungry, wasn't he? The way that he was gathering food up sure made it seem so, then again all of the food would help him to heal quicker or so Po had said before.
The boy was about to turn to getting his own food when he felt someone approaching them from behind. His body stiffened as he felt it an he turned to see the guy who was coming toward them. The man was decorated with a few scars, a testament to the fact that he was a dangerous sort of man. Instead of scaring Xiulong though instead the appearance of the man only seemed to piss him off that much more, "What are you looking at?" He demanded of him, eyes narrowed, hand reaching into the ornate robe he was wearing at the moment, "Surely you aren't looking at what is mine?" He was doing his very best now to act just as Master Di would, keeping his voice steady with a slight tone annoyance to it.
The man seemed to ignore him as he instead reached out toward Qiu Shui, catching hold of the end of the boy's braid, the man looked as though he meant to reel the boy in by it as though he were some sort of fish when Xiulong stuck. The move was both unexpected and startling as he withdrew a knife from among the folds of his robe and buried it in the man's hand drawing a scream from him that had everyone in the place on their feet to see what was going on as well as drew the attention of the three outside bring Qiang Di, Po Zei, and Tian Mi inside from where they had been attempting to deal with one another.
Needless to say everyone was a touch surprised to find the cause of the scream. Not that Xiulong seemed to care, instead he pulled his knife free of the man's hand and brushed his hand over Qiu Shui's hand, "Its alright, no blood got on it." He assured his friend.

Hands.. Hands.. They were grabbing at him like the last piece of meat on a dish. No matter what they did, how Xiulong tried to keep them away, they kept coming. This was a bad idea..
Once Xiulong said that he belonged to him, a sweet, pleasant blush dusted his cheeks, and he came ever so closer to his 'captor' for the night. Unfortuantely... When he grew happier, when his heart began to beat faster out of adoration for a person, his scent grew stronger, causing the men to become that much more wilder than they originally had been. It was all unintentional, for Qiu Shui hadn't felt this way about someone before.. He couldnt' control the scent that wafted from him.
Something was going to happen..And you know what? Qiu Shui's instincts were right, when this HUGE leering man grabbed his ponytail.
"L-let me go!" He cried out, trying to pull away from the monster-like man. The man just chuckled and pulled him towards him by his hair, re-opening the scabs and such that had been slowly recovering from when the Madame attacked him.
The next thing he noticed was being let go, and stumbling back to Xiulong's side, being reassured that no blood got on something.
What..? What had happened? The big man looked ready to kill, and he was holding his hand which was dripping with blood..
"W-what did you do?! W-we have to get out of here! They'll kill us!" He whispered nervously, taking the hand that brushed against his own and tried to get the blunette to leave with him. He was stubborn however, not moving from his ground..

Xiulong gave a hissing sound, lifting his blood stained weapon up, taking a couple of slashes at the man in front of him forcing him to lose ground which had a few of the other men laughing in an amused fashion. It was a rather large blow to one's pride to be forced away by a small, pretty boy with a knife. The man who was bleeding and being taunted by the others gave a snarling sound and took a step forward, raising one hand as though he meant to knock Xiulong out of the way so that he could take what he wanted.
As he lifted his hand thought someone else grabbed hold of it, twisting it around, up and against the man's back and there was a horrible crackling sound as he was easily slammed into the ground by that same talented hand. Qiang Di starred down at the one that Po Zei had so easily disabled with his martial arts skills. The Master of the place wasn't so forgiving as he lifted one booted foot and brought it down in a crushing blow on already wounded hand, "You don't touch what is mine." He spat out, grinding down on the hand before he looked at Xiulong who hadn't even blinked and he felt... pleased. He lifted one hand to catch hold of the boy's hand, "I am most impressed, Xiulong. Your name is starting to suit you more and more." He praised him.
He looked over at Qiu Shui then, leaning in a little closer, sniffing at him, "You wear rather dangerous perfume, boy. Best you take your food and go back to one of the rooms with Xiulong, I didn't rent you out for that sort of thing this night. Perhaps another time, when your in better condition." He gave the boy a wink before his attention was back on the man who's hand he was still standing on.
"It would appear as though we need to deal with this one, I understand we are a gang of thieves but you all know the rules about stealing from others in the group. It is not something I will abide by." He said, causing a could of his men to jump, hurrying over to grab the man to drag him outside. Qiang Di watched before he followed along after them with Po Zei and the others following after, the lower ranked men it would appear were quite eager to see what ended up happening to their thieving companion.
Xiulong didn't relax until the room was starting to clear out and he cleaned off is knife on his sleeve before he replaced it among his clothing. He glanced over at Tian Mi as she starred down at him and Qiu Shui, he knew the look on her face and it had him smirking a bit. She was angry and jealous at them for catching Master Di's attention and it was something that had the bluenette rather pleased. If she was mad then that meant he'd done really well in making their Master happy with him. He turned to look at Qiu Shui, "Come on, lets get dinner and go back to my room."

Qiu Shui didn't want any part of this anymore.. These people here were crazy! It was all crazy! What kind of world is this..?
He couldn't watch, not when such cruel things were going on.. He turned his head, only hearing that sickening crunch of the man's hand. Everything else that was said went in one ear and out the other, even when the large man who had saved him earlier said something about his scent being dangerous. He didn't want to be here anymore...
Come on, lets get dinner and go back to my room. Was it really that simple? Could he REALLY be over the whole thing so quickly? He dare not disobey, lest he be on the receiving end of the "band of thieves"s wrath.
He took up his plate, and quickly (or as quickly as he could in his ruffled state) returned to Xiulong's room, sitting down quietly.

Xiulong quickly gathered up his own food onto his plate and hurried along at Qiu Shui's side. He balanced his plate on one hand as they stepped into his room so he could lock his door after himself before he walked over and settled down next to the other boy, eagerly digging into his food. It would appear as though he were phased in the least by what had happened or by what he'd done, he had born into a violent world and as such it was completely normal for him. He looked over at his friend and gave him a smile, "I hope it didn't hurt when that idiot tugged on your hair, some people have no manners." He said before he returned to his meal.
He found himself wondering idly about what was going to happen to the guy that had been drug outside, a part of him had wanted to follow as well, having gotten swept up a bit in the mob mentality of it all but since he was told by Master Di to go back to his room with Qiu Shui he had done as he was told given his great love and respect for the rather dangerous individual, "He won't be bothering you again though, Master Di will make sure of that." He told the other boy as though to reassure him that he was safe... or at least relatively so given the situation at hand and the world he'd been caught up in when the coin was exchanged between the Madame of the Brothel and the Bandit Leader.

"It did hurt a bit.. But I'm alright... Maybe I should just cut it all off.. All it does is get used against me..." Qiu Shui's appetite had left him, instead, he simply started at his plate, his stomach doing flips, causing him to inwardly retch. He tried his best to hide it, letting his once neat hair fall around his face like a curtain, to hide his true feelings as best as he could. Such a world like this.. Why was he thrust into it? Why was he trapped in a never ending cycle of pain, witnessing pain, causing pain.. It was all his fault. Him and his damned scent.
"He may not bother me again.. But there is always going to be someone who will.. There's no way to escape it.. Even if I mutilate myself.. Even if I become hideous from disease, or become disfigured.. This will continue to happen over and over again.. I won't have someone always around to protect me, like you, Xiulong... I'm just always going to be handed out to the highest bidder.. To the one with the most gold, the most perks.. And then, when they are finished with me.. I'll be sent back, just to have it happen again.. There's no escape.."
Originally, the thought didn't bother him at all. Most of the regular patrons were drunkards, but they were all kind, and treated the women and men of the shop as angels.. But once he began to give off that scent, they became wild animals, wanting nothing more than to follow that carnal instinct to feel pleasure.
"Tell me.. Xiulong, where are you from? How were you born into this world..? I have a feeling we came from the same source.. But I can't help but wonder... What did I do to make the gods so angry with me to be put into this world as the lowest of the low..?"

Xiulong was quiet as Qiu Shui spoke, seeming at first to be somewhat rational in how he was considering cutting his hair but his words quickly became such that the bluenette paused in his eating, turning to look at him for a long moment. Slowly the boy tilted his head to one side before turning back to his food, "There seem to be two types of people in the world from what I've seen." He said, picking up another bite of food before he tossed it into his mouth, chewed, swallowed, then continued.
"There are those like Master Di who take what they want by using whatever means necessary." He said told Qiu Shui before he gave him a somewhat sympathetic look, "Then there are those who are the exact opposite, weaklings who seem to get knocked around a lot... it seems as though you fall into that category. So long as you remain weak your only ever going to be prey to those with power." If someone were to cry all the time of course people would want to mess with them, it was a rather fun experience to make someone cry.
He gave a half shrug when it came time to question where they came from and more importantly the Gods, "They don't matter to me, when I was born Master Di told me the only God in my life was to be him, that I was to follow him as though he were one." He told Qiu Shui, the rest of them were that which he could forsake because they did nothing more him. On the other hand Qiang Di took care of him, fed him, gave him a place to live, gave his life meaning, the man might as well be a God for all that he did for the bluenette.
"If you believe that the Gods are so angry with you then cast them aside." He said simple, making a dismissive motion with his hand before he returned to his dinner.

"Then what about those people who fall into neither category? What about those people who get what they want, but by means that benefits everyone? Sure, they are far and few between, but that doesn't mean those types of people don't exsist. I can't help but think your master is single minded. If he is your god, what happens if you die? What happens if you see your god die right before your eyes? Will you die too? I'm sure you'd 'die' for your god, if that ever needed be, but what if your 'god' died instead? He's mortal, just like the rest of us. That's why I can't believe that some one just as I am, some one I could turn out to be, is a 'god'."
Perhaps.. Those weren't the right words to say, since so far his... companion HAD shown aggressive behavior towards things he did not approve of. But he meant every word. Such a rant on his part made his stomach growl, as his mind had been taken off of the previous events for a moment, and Qiu Shui reached down to pick up a piece of fruit to eat. As he chewed, he thought about their conversation just a bit more, before swallowing and continuing.
"And what if I am that person who get's knocked around alot? It means that I'm weak. It means that I know that there will always be someone above me. But in life, from what I've seen so far, there is ALWAYS someone above you. Someone above you, someone above me, and someone above your master. Think about it, is there someone your master can't help but listen to? Isn't there someone who your master would die for? If that is the case, then he puts that person above himself." Taking up another piece of fruit, staring at it for a few moments, then placing it at his lips, he spoke once more.
"I don't see myself as weak.. I see myself as one who was born to please others.. I see myself as just a child, and there are still things that I need to learn. Maybe in all actuality, I AM indeed weak, but I'm sure children are allowed that privilege, even if it is looked on with disdain."
