Ami-Kae Oh my gosh, Black Beauty. We [being my sister and I] found a DVD of it that our aunt gave us forever ago, and so we watched it, just for the Danny. It was so weird!! gonk But Danny did good, as usual, so.. Yeh, I saw the movie too, mostly for the Danny. The movie.. pretty much sucked, if you compare it to the book. It was NOT supposed to be a children's book/film, but a totally harsh social commentary. But hey, the music was great! The soundtrack is kinda hard to hunt down, but I do so love it!

It was.. interesting.
That just made me think: I'm definately looking forward to Charlotte's Web. I just really, really think that Danny's going to do a fantastic job, because, seriously, it's Charlotte's Web. Man. Can't wait. heart

Totro I've never heard it D: I feel uneducated. crying OH!! Do you have Music For A Darkened Theater 2? Cause there are a few tracks on there. That's how I first heard it myself, and I HAD to have it ever after. Are you a big fan of Danny's "nicer" works? (Sommersby, The Family Man, Good Will Hunting?) Or do you like his more signature stuff like Batman and such? I like it all, but his nicer stuff really just gets to me... maybe becase he does it so WELL yet there is very little of it out there... I think you must hear it though... http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=13386 *shhhh* (Tis track 1, probably the best outta them all!)

DANNY ELFMAN" And that, of course, caused a double take. xd But, yes. The Elfman score will probably be the best part of the movie [depending on how they decide to make it; I don't know if it's all cartoon, or computer animation, or live action, or live action and computer, I have NO idea], but, really. There's SO much that he can do with that score, and I know he will. The poet from Big Fish is the voice of the Rat, which is unfortunate, because it should have been Danny. That would have been amazing. whee

Ah man, I thought Danny should have done Jack Skellington's entire vocal, speaking and singing. You don't really notice until about halfway through the movie when it's like "ARGH! MINE EARS!!!" It is interesting though that he voiced uh I think Barrel *(always get those three confused) and the Clown. He should voice more things! I did like his little vocals in the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory songs though!

Yes! I've thought about Danny having done Jack's voice the entire time, and, you know, I'm okay with what they did. Danny did SO much work on that movie already, he probably would have died if he'd taken on the speaking role of the main character as well. And, yes, he was the Clown and Barrel. Though, Barrel has the least lines out of all of them, so, you don't get to really marvel at that, or anything. Oh well. Pee-Wee did a good job as Lock. whee
I absolutely LOVE the way they did the CatCF vocals. It's a lot of fun to really listen and try to pick out the voices he actually did, and the ones that were technically altered. Especially the low voices, because they're just blaitantly Danny. Augustus Gloop is my favorite song, because those horns are orgasmic, but- Veruca Salt is my second favorite, simply because it's so OBVIOUS that Danny's singing. He didn't even bother to disguise his voice for that one. It sounded good with his range, too, so, hey, no one's complaining.

It is true, Danny probably WOULD have died! Then again it took them like 1984378941 years to do that movie so he probably had time. And yeh, the Clown and Barrel are fairly short roles all in all. Is it just me or did Danny do the backing vocals to Floop's Song? AWESOME song BTW, always get the intro stuck in my head, and then of course the rest of it follows! It reminds me vaguely of Helpless, though not QUITE as horridly amusingly hilarious. I'm probably wrong about the vocals on that song but it just sounds SOOOOO like him!

Yes, I think he does. At least, I was hearing it, same as you. So, either, he was; or we're both crazy. Both options are very likely.
That song was amazing. It sounds VERY much like the music he has for Jimmy Calicut, especially the School song. heart

Alan Cumming is great too! I LOVE the School Song.. or the Cat Is Dead! No Danny readily audible, but hey! Morbid lyrics disguised in a cute song more than make up for it!

You can all be free, As a bird on a big tv if you dream if you dream if you dream, My dream! It's a cruel cruel world, all you little boys and girls And some mean nasty people want to have you for their supper (NASTY NASTY NASTY NASTY!) But, there's a way you can make your day, You can laugh! You can smile! You can come and stay a while! If you dream my dream you can have it all with me! You can dream my dream!
