She hummed softly to herself, tail swishing behind her slowly as she took in the damp scented breeze, one ear tilted slightly to keep a thread of concentration on her guide and companion. Otherwise, the mare was lulled with the peace and serenity of her surroundings. So of course she gave a slight twitched shiver when his muzzle pressed into her neck, curving her head and leaning into him. Exhaling softly, Sunshine shrugged. "I'm not sure." She murmured honestly, her shrug more felt than seen. "In this forest, quite a bit of time while I discover this new place. But then I'll move around, exploring, helping those that need it. There's always someone out there, needing a shoulder to lean on. You can likely relate." She giggled, nuzzling his neck in return and tugging playfully on a lock of fur there.

Godric wasn't even listening to her words. His bright green eyes just stared as she spoke, focusing all of his attention toward her. She was so close. Blinking hard, he came back to catch her last sentence. He really... couldn't relate. Saliva built up in Godric's mouth and he swallowed as to not let any leak out. That would be... Just fine ungentlemanly with Sunshine in his presents. The heat that was stirring in his stomach was rising, and he couldn't make up his mind if he was hungry or... Growling lowly, Godric shook his head, trying to clear his thoughts. He needed a distraction. He needed to get away from Sunshine before he snapped. It was a dying battle that he was fighting, and it was only a matter of time. And just as he was about an excuse to get away, she ran.

Sunshine leaned against Godric, enjoying being there next to him, even as it grew darker. After a few long moments, she realized that he was quiet, tenser than usual. Leaning away, she glanced up and tilted an ear back. He was gazing off over the lake, looking rather deep in thought and far too serious. Grinning, she stepped back and turned, hitting him solidly in the side of the face with her tail. "Tag!" She called playfully before darting off, her hooves kicking off a shower of sand in her wake. If she'd been not so caught up in the mood of the lake and the deepening twilight, the mare would have realized that this move was the worst thing she could have done.

Godric wasn't given the chance to think about the game that she was proposing to play. All he felt was the quick strike to his face, and the sight of her running away. His pupils constricted, as the muscles in his legs and back flexed all at once. A pool of saliva finally poured over, out of his mouth as his lips pulled back into a sharp toothed snarl. The heat in his stomach spread, a shiver rippling down his back just as he sprung forward to take chase.
His hooves dug into the ground with every step, kicking up dirty and grass. His mind was a blank slate, as he gave his full focus on the "hunt". His eyes worked perfectly, the darkness not hindering him for a moment. The moonlight shining through the trees would provide enough light for her to find her way, but he was much more skilled at finding than she would be at hiding. He heard her hoof falls just up ahead, lightening to a stop. Coming to the same area, Godric face stretched out into a predatory smile. "Suuunshine," he sang, glancing around the darkness for his lovely prey to reappear. "Come out, come out wherever you are," He purred, a low growl rumbling in his throat.

Sunshine dissapeared into the forest, carefully leaping obstructions in her path, grinning. She heard him following her, hear him call to her and stopped, frowning slightly. "This is tag you silly cat, not hide-and-seek. You're supposed to chase me." She laughed, peering at him from around a wide tree trunk. Her ears twitched as her brain caught up with what she'd actually heard. He sounded different, not as calm and leashed as when they'd been talking before. This wasn't safe. She was no longer safe. Looking at him, she caught the gleam in his eye, the saliva glistening along his lip. "Godric?" She asked worriedly, keeping behind the tree, her eyes glancing around briefly to find the best route of escape. He had better eyesight, better speed, and certainly more strength. But she was smaller, more agile.....Still, she knew it wouldn't be enough to save her completely from harm.
