She considered for a moment how to phrase it, "Your powers suits you well for escape and such. But what if you come against someone who can stop your powers? You need to know basic skills to defending yourself whether it be from punches or weapons."

Using a bit of strenght, she hurled not one stone at him but three and waited for his reaction.

Nightquest dodged the first one easily, moving as quick as he could to come around and dodge the second stone. However, the third hit him square in the back, making him fall to the ground. He rubbed the spot, "Ow..."

Valkyrie laughed, "Not bad for a first try. You've got to anticipate what's going to happen. Try again." She readied the rocks.

Picking up three more stones, she hurled them at him with force waiting to see if he would do better this time.

The first stone was avoided, but not the second. It smacked him firmly on the stomach. He didn't have time to ouch for the third one heading his way. He sidestepped it gracelessly, catching himself to keep from falling. "I think I did better that time!"

"Very much so," Valkyrie smiled. "With more practice, you'll be able to avoid them entirely. Sometimes, we have to learn to take a hit in order to avoid more. It's a lesson well worth learning." She pushed back her long hair, "I think you're ready to try a bit of something else, yes?"

Nightquest frowned, "I think you're right...I probably won't like this much better..." He sighed and shook his head, readying his fist and launching it as hard as he could toward her jaw.
