Jumping out into the open, probably not one of his best ideas he has done yet. He didn't realize how bad his situation while he drew out another arrow to shoot. What stopped him from firing was the disgusting laughters of brigands in the distance. Alex quickly looked behind him to see bandits charging right at him. He had to run. But they were already about to come up to him before he could even react. "This is not a good situation I am in," he thought. He had a feeling that his life was about to flash before his eyes.
Luckily for the archer, the feeling quickly went away as he saw the bandits stop and look up for a moment. Alex saw a shadow quickly increasing in size and he looked up out of curiosity. Suddenly a massive black wyvern landed in front of him. "Holy crap," he said as he took a couple steps back. The rider quickly took out the bandits around her and he was quite surprised about the situation. What broke him from his little trance was a voice talking to him. He looked towards the fire dragon and back at the wyvern rider. "Alright, I'll help out," he replied.
Things weren't turning out as he planned, but he didn't have time to complain right now as he ran towards where the fire dragon was. However, Alex quickly stopped in his tracks and his for a little bit as he saw archers running towards him. "What is going on?" he asked himself as he saw the archers run into the houses. "Interesting," he added as he went up to the entrance of one of the houses the archers went in. He peaked his head in to see archers firing from the windows.
Without any hesitation, Alex ran into the house swiftly towards one of the archers at the window. Luckily, they were focusing on firing at the dragon, he was able to go unnoticed. He quickly stabbed his arrow into the first archer from behind. Before the second archer had any time to react, Alex pulled the arrow out of the first victim and was able to nock his arrow quicker than the other archer. He released it into the second archer and they both fell onto the floor silently.
"This is a nice spot," he commented as he stood next to one of the windows the archer was just at. "This isn't the time to be admiring this firing spot," he told himself, shaking his head. He looked out of the window. He could see the fire dragon clearly from this spot. He ignored what was going on in the outside and scanned the other windows of the houses. It was quite clear that there were more archers in other houses as arrows kept flying from the window.
As the situation looks, the warriors on the outside would be able to handle the bandits charging them head on. Alex would take out the archers in the houses. He quickly fired an arrow at one of the windows and another at the window right next to the first one. He couldn't afford the archers to find out where his position was. He waited a couple seconds as he saw arrows had seized firing from that house. Alex began hunting the other archers in other houses. He was the predator and the other hunters were his prey.

"I'm Lorelei."
It had taken far too long to say that. The whipping wind had eaten her words the first few times, erasing them almost as soon as they'd left her mouth. She'd never flown together with somebody before, and she realized that she'd have to speak up if she was going to be heard.
"I carry mail, but I think the bandits have it," she said. "I can't leave until I get it back!"
Lorelei could see the wyvern rider's mount wince on each downstroke of the wings. She couldn't imagine it was very comfortable.
Down below, she could see a scattering of villagers, and other wyvern riders circling to protect them. Help! Maybe she could get help from them! And they were bound to have aid for the white wyvern!
Lorelei began her decent, pulling up gently with Cyrano. All of the other riders wore strong, official-looking armor. Suddenly, clad in her crash helmet and boiled-leather breastplate Lorelei felt rather naked.
"Uh, hey! Is... um... I mean..." She bit her tongue. "I don't suppose anybody can help...? Or maybe I could help...?"
She winced. Oh, why did she always sound so stupid?

xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
"You're a... mail carrier?" Mihira mumbled softly to herself. So, this girl was fighting against the bandits to get her mail back. That meant she wasn't an enemy. The poor girl... she got sucked in while just doing her job. Mihira felt bad for her. She would help the pegasus rider get her mail back in the end.
The scout followed her fellow rider as she began to descend. Mihira wasn't sure where exactly she was headed, though. If they got too low, they'd be in arrow range.
When the girl spoke of help, Mihira glanced back at her wyvern's tail, knowing that poor Darius was in constant pain. "Oh... well, we do have healers at the east side of the village, but they're there for healing the villagers." Mihira looked around. "There was a healer out in the field... a holy woman with golden hair... she could help!"
As the two flew, Mihira spotted the dragonic guild member fighting on the village outskirts. She had never met him and was a little too frightened to, but knew that he was on their side. Many bandits were collecting in that area. Mihira looked more and saw some Learanian soldiers fighting the bandits, too. And then there was a flash of light magic! The bishop was down there! "There she is!! She's in trouble!" She looked over to Lorelei. "I know you have nothing to do with us, but we're fighting the bandits the same as you. Please help us... and we can help you, too!"
Mihira smiled at the girl, then began to fly towards where the fire dragon and Lady Victoria were fighting for their lives. Once close enough, the rider threw a javelin that stuck into the back of one of the bandits who had gotten passed the soldiers. Mihira steered her mount around and landed by the bishop. (This is after Victoria has dealt with the thief) "Lady Victoria, please, my wyvern needs healing! ...I'll cover you!"

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ Bandits were closing in on all directions, so thankfully, her dodges of their many axes caused her to be spared the sudden and sharp end of the thief's pointy knife. Still, all these enemies just suddenly rushing her? She wasn't used to seeing this kind of thing happen, being one who always hung out in the back lines and served as a faithful support to the troops out front. Having odds against her truly made Victoria look at things in a different, more cautious way, and this time, she was not at all cocky about her light magic being the thing that would be her savior. It was too bad that at the moment, she didn't notice that the thief succeeded in cutting off the magical jewel of the Rescue staff. No, she was much too busy trying to preserve her own life.
Sharp wits and quick reflexes were going to be a saving grace this time around, and thankfully, that was the second basic lesson that clerics and priests were taught in the monastery. After all, their Guardians were not immortal, there was no way that they could survive all enemy strikes, so those who wielded staffs had to find some way to avoid being holy bloodstains on the field. Father Nathaniel's teachings were to perserve one's own as long as possible, but also to defend others in need of the holy gifts. She was not about to disappoint him in either way, chanting as the theif ran by. Off went another Divine spell, and down the shady character went.
But the axes were getting closer, and Victoria thought she was doomed! There was no way she could dodge the bandit in time... Miraculously though, a javelin found its way right into the brigand, felling him and giving the lady bishop enough time to react to the other one that was right behind the first. Another Divine, and another one bites the dust. "My thanks, Wyvern rider!" she said to Mihira joyfully.
When the orange-haired girl on the wyvern landed, she exclaimed how her mounted needed the help of Victoria's heal staff, and how she'd even cover her! It was great, to have someone understand that a healer needed protection when casting magic. Drawing her heal staff from where she kept it, Victoria stood next to the great winged creature had landed and chanted the basic healing spell. Unlike how must thought, a Heal staff was usually all any bishop who trained hard enough would need for a good full heal. "His face is soothed now, it will be safe for you to return to the air. ... I'm Sister Victoria, by the way. It's been a pleasure to use my gift for you." The Elimine follower said sincerely. ΘжElmine's LightжΘ If you are my ally, fear not, for healing is on your way! If you're my enemy, you'll be purged, and dead you shall stay.

Ignis Draconis sum. Thema fabulae, thema apologi.c** igne sacrō, Flametongue, (prō amicīs pugnō) prō pace volō. Miliibus annīs supervivē, cicatricēs temporis possideō. Mirate corpus meum, pinnās meās, ignem meum! Fire Dragon Given the number of bandits the Fire Dragon had fell with his claws, one might guess he had painted his fingerna-err… claws a striking red, as they were by this point completely covered in the blood of bandits, just as how much of the ground was stained and littered by blood and bodied – portions of bodies. Truly, the outskirts of Tharis were most unsightly. But what choice did the Learanians have? It was kill or be killed. And if not the bandits, it would be the Tharis citizenry who would suffer. It was with all this in mind that FD continued to mutilate the bodies of any bandits he could reach with his tremendous, blood-dripping claws.
Would any more oncoming bandits dare to continue their approach, once they saw all the bodies that had been torn into halves and other pieces? The most brazen of bandits seemed to, and so FD continued to tear into any he could reach with his claws. But he was going slower about it than he had before. The dragon felt a sickness come over him, growing in strength as more time passed. The bandits’ poison definitely doing its work by now and only growing in strength as the archers, now concealed by the houses of the village they were supposed to be protecting, occasionally succeeded in landing their arrows right between FD’s scales. The dragon was in pain and couldn’t understand why. Until a random stray arrow that hadn’t just failed to lob itself between his scales but had missed the Fire Dragon completely landed in front of him. Having failed to sink its tip into the ground due to a corpse being in the way, FD saw the arrow head covered in a purplish hue. The meaning of the color soon thereafter sunk into FD’s mind: he was poisoned!
Alas, FD couldn’t eliminate the enemy archers given their location. But, oh, what he wouldn’t give to incinerate them with a dose of Flametongue right now. It would be so foolish to transform back in the midst of all these enemies just so he could ask Victoria to restore his condition, though. Besides, he didn’t even know if she had the proper staff on her to do so. They had to finish dealing with these bandits first. FD continued to fight, even as he was incurring internal damage. The quality of his attacks definitely decreased from his condition as well, but he was still certainly lethal.

xxxxxx"You foolish men who walk the earth like blasted kings!" x "I will collect my trophies soon."8===========================> xx J e z e b e l xx <===========================8 xxxxx Arrows continued flying from out of the houses, but calamity erupted as one of the archers was stabbed from behind. He gagged and fell to the ground without fully realizing what had happened. The other archer was hit before being able to react, and fell to the ground with an arrow going right through his body.
None of the archers in the other houses were aware of what had happened to their bandit companions. The only clue was when an arrow nearly hit an archer in one of the other houses. The archer bandits signaled each other to see who was still an ally, and singled out where the arrow had come from. They remained hidden and tried to peer out to locate their enemy. When a head popped out into view, the enemy archer let loose an arrow toward the window. Other archers remained focused on the dragon, but there were now less arrows flying out towards it.
The brigands in combat with the dragon became more gutsy on the battlefield. Some even thought they had a chance at charging it head on. They were fools. But more and more ran out and even a dragon couldn't knock them all away at once. Soon enough, they were all around the mighty foe. They appeared like little ants biting away at a clearly superior creature; but as many know, army ants can be very dangerous.
"Your wangs shall be a fine addition to the others!"xxxx xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
The wyvern scout helped the other Guard soldiers fend off the attackers the best she could. By then, the brigand corpses almost acted as a wall of defense, making it hard for the enemy to reach them. Vigor drove the bandits onward, or perhaps it was fear or even blind rage. Whatever it was, it was something Mihira did not understand. To her, those men were throwing away their lives. It was hard to pity them, but she couldn't help it. They were still people.
When the Sister finished her work and called out, Mihira fell back to where she was and took the bandage off of Darius' tail. She smiled at seeing that the bleeding had stopped and the wound was sealed. "Oh, I know who you are, Lady- er.. Sister Victoria! Thank you so much, I was frightened for him... My name's Mihira, but I'm nobody important like you..."
Mihira looked up to see her pegasus riding friend fighting off the brigands from the air. "Oh! I nearly forgot. Sister, that girl in the sky is going to help us fight the bandits. She's a mail carrier and got sucked into this mess on accident and now they've stolen some of her mail. I told her we would help her out if she helped us, so..." She glanced over to what was left of the mercenary that Victoria had purged. If that man had been carrying the letters, then they would have been lost forever. Thankfully, no ash that suggested he was carrying them could be seen on him. "Maybe if you could not... um... use your magic on them anymore... until we find the letters...? I-I'm sorry, I sound foolish! I should get back to the battle!" Mihira jumped around and began to mount her wyvern.

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ The thanks that the wyvern rider gave her was something that left the bishop both smiling and satisfied. Victoria had done some good for Mihira, making the flier able to take to the skies again. Although this orange-haired woman claimed to be no one of importance, she was someone who saved the bishop's life! The gratitude between them was mutual, yes.
Victoria's attention turned, just for a moment to the pegasus rider high in the sky when Mihira mentioned her. Apparently, her name was Lorelei, and she was a mail carrier that had lost her delivery. The bishop scowled. How could the bandits go and steal her mail, that was just so low of them to do! To think, she could have charred the letters with her rather impulsive bursts of Purge and Divine...
"I'll just be careful to aim with my spells." she said to Mihira who had given her the advice to be careful not to scorch the missing letters. "I can't really go without using my magic, but I won't be responsible for a mail carrier's missing cargo!" she said reassuringly. Aiming wouldn't be so hard, as light was the easiest type of magic to aim with. What was a little more concentration, anyway? Suddenly, Alex had the urge to sneeze. During the middle of a battlefield too. He let out an achoo and moved back a step in the process. In that next moment, he felt something zip right past his face and was a bit frightened. He slowly turned his head to his side. He saw an arrow right next to his head that was stuck against the side of the open window.A sneeze had just saved him from a shot to his head, talk about luck. He slowly hid under the window as he realized the other archers had found his position. "I think, it's about time I change my location," he said to himself as he quickly went out of the house.
He now had to find a different location to take out the other archers. He looked around to see if there were any bandits in his sight. After making sure the coast was clear, he quickly dashed to the house next to him. Peering in, he saw more archers just like in the house he was in earlier. They didn't notice him, which was good. He pulled out an arrow and waited for the archers to be open. Once both archers loosened the arrows, Alex charged in and did the same killing method as he did with the first house he attacked. The archer lunged at the first archer with an arrow and then quickly nicked it and shot it at the second archer.
Thinking of his near death experience, staying in one spot was probably not the best idea for him. He would have to be constantly moving between the houses to keep the enemies from figuring out his position. As Alex began to leave the house, he peered outside. "Tch," the number of bandits around the others were beginning to increase. He would need to take out the rest of the archers faster in order to help with them with pest control. The sharpshooter ran out of the house and charged the next building with another arrow already in his hand as he prepared to take out more archers.

Looping his bow around his shoulder, the young man rushed to the side of the soldier whose weapon had broken. He drew his sword quickly as the bandit let loose another swing of his axe at the now defenseless wooden pole-wielding man. The brigand's axe met steel as Rahkain threw up his sword to block the blow. For a moment, he glanced back at the third soldier who had been watching his back. The brigand took this second of hesitation to withdraw his axe to throw another blow at him. Yelping in surprise, he ducked, nearly missing getting his head taken off. "Jeez!" He exclaimed. "I need that!"
The bandit laughed before saying "Nah, Don't think ya do!" and taking another shot at his neck. Rahkain had to keep backing up to avoid the axe as he watched for an opening to strike back.

Lorelei spiralled groundward, forcing her own mouth shut as she fumbled after the arrow lodged in Cyrano's left wing. Several breath-crushing seconds passed before she managed to remove it, and another weak heartbeat in the pause as the pegasus righted himself awkwardly. It had been a small miracle that Lorelei had remained in the saddle, that she still was holding onto the javelin, that she still had the rest of her mail, her helmet, and her life. A few years of her life probably had gotten shaved off from the stress, though.
Her head stopped spinning in a moment. With the distraction down below, she was left mostly safe to try and gather her thoughts and assess the situation. Missing mail. Had to find it. In a war zone. Could not run.
Giant dragon. Breathing fire.
...
oh no...
Lorelei gathered up her stomach again and dove back into the fray. She didn't like it, but she had to. The enormous dragon repulsed her, but the fact that it couldn't be allowed to incinerate her cargo could not be denied. Lorelei fumbled with her javelin, but plowed down the first bandit in her way by happy accident. She wouldn't get so lucky again...
"Miss Mihira!" She yelled, stabbing the heavy javelin at the ever-closing assault. It missed, but it peaked their caution and kept them back. "Miss Mihira! I hate to be a bother but--"
Her strike hit true once, and she choked down the bile.
"ugh... but I have got to help that... that dragon!"
Her helmet was slipping and sweat was pouring into her eyes. It was hard to see.
"He's going to burn my cargo!"
And with that, she kicked Cyrano into ascent, out of melee range, and circled back around. The relief would be brief, but she'd have a pause away from axes that only narrowly missed before she'd get an answer.
Oh, how she wished she didn't need one. How she wished she could just make the dragon stop, get the letter herself, and go.
But she was no soldier. She was a mailwoman. Lorelei, and she wasn't afraid to admit it, needed help.

The soldier watching the stranger's back struggled against a brigand, but managed to push him back and stab him. The soldier who had his weapon break sighed in relief as the stranger saved him from death. He watched as the man fought against the axeman, then took advantage of the bandit's concentration to swing the wooden pole, hitting the brigand upside the head. The bandit fell to the ground unconscious. The two soldiers who still had effective weapons took on the two remaining brigands and felled them, then turned to the stranger. The first soldier, who was the one that had been speaking to the man, reached out to shake the man's hand. "My thanks, stranger, your help is appreciated. If you don't mind my asking, what brings you here? Where do you hail from?" xxxxx"Well maybe I'm weak... xxxxxxxand maybe I really am useless..." "But I will still fight on just the same!" xxxxx "Maybe one day I will no longer be invisible..."
Mihira smiled at hearing that the sister was going to show caution. She then commanded Darius into the air and was about to rejoin the fray when she was called out to again.
The scout looked out to the fire dragon that Lorelei spoke of. "No, don't worry, he can't-" She paused at seeing all the bandits swarming him. It was possible for the creature to use his mighty flames, since it wouldn't do any harm to the village itself. "...Eeeeeeep! Don't worry, I'm coming!"
The reigns were flicked and Darius flapped over towards the wyvern. Surprisingly, the arrows had all but stopped being fired. That made is easier for the fliers to get around. Mihira circled, thrusting her javelin every so often as the opportunity presented itself and eventually got close enough for the fire dragon to hear her. "Don't breath any fire!!" she tried to call out. "No fire!!"

The remaining two archers began to freak out as they soon realized that they were the only two left. They waited in silence, fearing to leave with the chance that the predator was already inside. As the tension reached its peak, the enemy suddenly appeared. One of the archers fired, but missed horribly and was naturally shot by the enemy's arrow. The other, having seen what fate had reached his companion, decided not to have that be his own. so he jumped out the window. There were no longer any archers in the houses.
The other Learanians fought off the rest of the bandits around them because they're the s**t and stuff. Whatever the dragon did to get the bandits off of him, it meant that the bandits were pretty much all defeated. The boss can now be confronted. But that wyvern lord was fighting some bandits, preventing them from getting to the others, too. Maybe she would need help.
Elsewhere, Jezebel couldn't help but catch a whiff of what the kid smelled like, as she continued to use him as a shield. Blueberries. Yep. ...Definitely blueberriessss.

Ignis Draconis sum. Thema fabulae, thema apologi.c** igne sacrō, Flametongue, (prō amicīs pugnō) prō pace volō. Miliibus annīs supervivē, cicatricēs temporis possideō. Mirate corpus meum, pinnās meās, ignem meum! Fire Dragon FD was feeling less and less well, all the while more and more enemies seemed to be spawning, most of them with their attention on him (he is, you know, ******** hard to miss). And sure, he could keep clawing at them, tearing their bodies apart, but by this point there were so many of them, if he remained on the ground for all that much longer, he’d get surrounded. It would be asking for trouble. Especially since his underbelly was so much easier to penetrate than the rest of his scaly body. Plus, considering the sheer number of bandits there were, along with how concentrated they appeared to be, he saw the opportunity to do something he’d wanted to do since reaching Tharis: make ashes out of them all. As many bandits as there were far enough away from any buildings or houses in Tharis, he could finally fire a controlled blast of Flametongue without risking damage to the village!
So the Fire Dragon charged forward just enough to take to the air, knocking down a few of the bandits that happened to be in the way. The plan was to fly in a large enough circle that he’d be aligned with most of the bandits so he could cover the right amount of space with a streamlined spray of Flametongue.
With the aerial view, FD was releaved to observe that none of those fighting against the bandits had been fallen, along with a couple of faces he hadn’t seen before fighting alongside Learania, namely a Pegasus Knight and a somewhat scruffy man. Had they come from other worlds like so many others, himself included? Now wasn’t the time to care about that; bandits to deal with, poison to worry about, village to save first.
He was just about finished with his loop to position himself to fire off a Flametongue when a Wyvern Rider flew near hear, calling out not to use fire!
Seriously?! He’d been waiting all day for the opportunity to use fire! But fine. The Rider who’d approached his was from the Guard, so perhaps there was some official reason not to resort to using Flametongue or something. There had to be some good reason, because it was pretty clear it could be done without setting Tharis, itself, on fire. FD nodded his head, an eye staring straight at Mihara as he did so to let her know he got the message.
FD tightly shut both his eyes right afterwards for a brief moment as a surge of pain from the poison welled through his body, suffering a substantial drop in altitude before pulling it together. More than ever, the dragon wanted these bandits dealt with fast! The sooner that happened, the sooner he could ask Victoria to use a Restore Staff on him… assuming the Bishop had one on her.
The dragon certainly hoped that was the case.
Back to dealing with the bandits, FD lowered his height even further so he could rake across the bandits with his claws while flying past them, rending many more bandits much faster than he would were he to try doing so on the ground. And between him, Mihara, and Lorelei, the swathe of bandits got dealt with. The bandits attacking the others looked to be dealt with by this time, too! Yay us~
The attacking bandits dealt with, FD returned to the ground, behind the line of Learanian soldiers and transformed into his human substitute form. He looked like s**t; his coloring was way off. Unlucky for him, injuries transferred from one form to the other, and so he had a ******** lot of poison coursing through a much smaller form. In his natural dragon form, there was so much more of him meaning the poison didn’t have as serious an effect, and even then he’d been impacted by it. This form? He’d probably have clocked out if he’d had this poison coursing through him for as long as he did.
Fortunately, Victoria was right in front of him. “Sister Victoria,” he began, “you wouldn’t happen to have a Restore Staff on hand, would you?” The words were rushed; just as he finished asking he buckled over to vomit. He looked back up right afterwards, though. The vomit wasn’t really all that unappealing when one considered how much carnage there was all around. With all the cadaverous portions lying about, not to mention the blood, soaked in the ground, a little vomit was nothing.

I've been blessed with the gifts of the gifts of the Lady Saint, so show me some respect! It's not every day you find a rarity like me.₪Victoria₪ In short, Victoria was aiming with the light magic a lot more precisely against the brigands and the archers that remained of the renegade forces. So far though, out of all the ones that fell, not a single one of them contained the missing envelopes. The bishop couldn't help but sigh. Yes, doing the duties of a holy woman meant going out of the way for others, but this was just going way too far! What were the letters of anyway, that they were so very important? It wasn't like nobles or other rulers would trust their notices to someone not meant for combat in a world like this.
After a while, the sounds of the battlefield were not so loud as they used to be, and Victoria was able to take notice of a few things concerning her own inventory. First of all, that Rescue staff she'd brought earlier just in case it was needed was completely useless, as the magical jewel was broken off and there would be no finding it with the combination of corpses and other broken weapons strewn out across the battlefield. Second, for some reason, the Restore staff was glowing. Someone's health wasn't good, and it wasn't something a simple Heal could fix! "I should have guessed they'd use the underhanded tactics of black magic... but who did they affect with it?"
The bishop's brown eyes searched the battlefield. Nobody was asleep, and no one was berserked either, thankfully. So, that only left the other problem that Restore staffs were invented for: poison. Someone had inflicted poison on one of the Learanians, but which one? Before Sister Victoria even thought of beginning her search, her question was answered as the Fire Dragon, the mighty wielder of the Flametongue came to her in his other form, asking if she had the Restore staff.
Victoria winced when he let out the contents of one of his meal onto the ground. "This is terrible! I thought he was... invincible..." she thought, the distress ever evident in her now creasing brow. "Just hang in there, Fire Dragon... I have what you need." she said, raising the staff high as she cast its magic to the proud warrior of the Scouring. A green circle glowed around him, finding the poison, and purging its every fiber of existence. Trusting her allies around her, the Elimine Bishop kept the spell going until the green light finally stopped, and the poison was completely gone. "How do you feel now?" she asked. Instead of her normal cheerful, prideful voice, it was a sound that none were used to: the true sounds of concern and worry.

Fire Dragon Thank whatever deity you’re supposed to thank that Victoria did in fact have a Restore Staff on her! FD felt a tingly, effervescence course through his body as the green light from the Restore Staff radiated through him, eliminating the poison like a really glamorous version of chemotherapy without any nasty side-effects. Healers were absolutely amazing! FD was always impressed by the things they could do, more so than he was with straightforward strength backed by steel or inherent abilities such as his Flametongue, certainly. However they managed to accomplish the things they did, be it by use of staves like with Victoria or by more physically natural means such as those Aruna used, FD couldn’t help but imagine how much more complicated, intricate it was than the hack-n-slashing the majority of people were adept at.
FD, the poison in his system eliminated, his natural color returned to him, was feeling much better now, of course. He wasn’t feeling the best he ever had (the poison itself had been dealt with, not the fatigue or damage it had caused), but still infinitely better than just moments before, all the same. “I’m feeling much better!” he told the Bishop. “You’re a life-saver, Victoria, an absolute life-saver.”
The dragon stood up straight again, swiping some dirt off his shirt with his hands, dry-blood crusted. “I can’t help but wonder what could’ve happened if you weren’t here,” his eyes were poised upon the Bishop solemnly and appreciative, “what would’ve become of Nils. Thank you, Sister.”
To alleviate the somber mood, he followed up asking no one specifically “So now what? There are still hostages to free, aren’t there?”
Until the hostages were freed, they couldn't truly say Tharis had been saved.

Alex skid to a stop next to the door of the last house that contained archers. Man he was tired from all this running. He panted for a bit and wiped off some sweat on his head. "Whew," he said as he leaned his head back. "I guess I could take a little breather," he told himself. He took the time right now to double check his quiver. There were still a decent amount of arrows, but at this rate, he would have to restock by the end of the day. "I don't think I'm cut out for this stuff," he told himself as he took out another arrow.
The archer took one more deep breath. He quickly pivoted off his foot and appeared in front of the door. It seemed as though the archers were already expecting him, but the first archer's arrow missed terribly and flew into the wall instead. "tsk tsk," he said as he shot the archer that missed his shot. "you should keep your cool when you're in battle," he said as he quickly got another arrow ready to shoot the second archer.
However, it seemed as though the other archer ended up jumping out the window and ran away. "Aww come on, don't be like that," he said as he ran up to the window. The archer was still in shooting distance and was running across the field of dead bandits towards the surviving warriors who fought against the bandits. The archer suddenly stopped running and fell forward onto his face as he got struck by an arrow from his back.
"Whew," he sighed with relief as he took a rest by sitting on the windowsill. "I can finally get some rest around here." Alex closed his eyes and leaned back. He opened back up his eyes and looked in the direction of the others. Hey...wait a minute something was different about the battlefield. The dragon that was fighting around here and instantly disappeared. He wondered where that dragon went, it's pretty big so it couldn't have gone that far.
Alex just shrugged the thought off as he yawned. he body was slowly slipped from the windowsill, but he was paying attention until it was too late. "OH CRAP," he yelled as he fell down onto his face. He landed on the ground outside of the house with a huge THUMP. Anyone who was around there would obviously notice and look at what just happened. "Well, that was a fun trip," he said sarcastically to himself as he raised his head from the ground. His bow fell next and landed on his head. "That hurt..."
