Already, things were descending into chaos. Arashe hadn't been in a fight this... barbaric, not for a long time. Hopefully, the rest of the war wouldn't be like this. He couldn't help but wince as he saw a few of his soldiers get cut down. Sure, they went off knowing they could full well die, but it was still somewhat chilling to see.

"Bishops, get down here and take out those archers!" he shouted, just loudly enough for one of them to hear. And luckily for Arashe, the others heard and followed suit. As they were each climbing down their masts, a much easier task than climbing up, they chanted a simple Light spell, making balls of energy split into smaller beams that converged on archers along the Phantom's edge. ...and we'll come back to them, later.

"Archers, split between the mages and the enemy archers!" he barked, and luckily for his throat, there were archers close enough to hear him and pass the order along. Moments later, they were firing a small volley of arrows, half of which flew directly across towards the other archers, while the other half flew towards the various mages.

And back to the Bishops! They managed to descend the masts and, seeing that a large, axe-toting man was making his way for the center walkway, decided to place themselves on their end of the smaller walkways on the side. Their bird's eye view gave them the foresight they needed for two of them to direct Light spells at the clusters of pirates blocking the outer left path from boarding, while the third Bishop simply ran from archer to archer, healing any wounds they had. After all, fire erupted on the right side, and Jin was making great progress.

The Myrmidons and Mercenaries began to use the magical assaults to their advantage, making individual advances to attack the pirates. This, in turn, allows the two side paths to move forwards. Advances were finally made on the left, and the right was much, much faster than only a minute or so ago. This was probably for the best, as multiple soldiers retreated from the middle walkway back onto the ship and into line for either of the sides. After all, there was a Berserker rushing that group, and nobody wanted to be near that. Jin's assault single-handedly led to over half of the middle plank's resident to change their position to the right, as they'd run much less risk of being trapped on a piece of wood.

Things seemed to be going in Learania's favor for now, Arashe noticed, as they were closer to boarding the enemy ship than the other way around. If they could do that, it was simply a matter of outnumbering the enemy...

But, thinking about tactics would have to take a back seat, as Arashe noticed the Berserker getting quite close to setting foot on his ship. "Troops on my side might want to move...!" he said, already preparing and firing an arrow towards the enemy's exposed chest the moment he knocked a Guard soldier out of the way. And he didn't stop there, oh no, that was the glory of the Brave Bow. He almost immediately placed another arrow on the bowstring, and fired it towards the man's head this time. After all, the first would likely serve to get his attention, while the second wouldn't be expected. And if he managed to dodge it, he still had a set of stairs to climb before he got to the front of the ship where Arashe was...

Derrin was still staggering around casting spells when the arrow connected with the shoulder of the arm he had extended,

"Ah!" He exclaimed as he fell to the deck wuth a thud, his breath hised throug his teeth as he rolled over and got to his hands and knees, one hand clutching the arrow, "Tsss" he hisssed as he checked the spot that it had connected by pressing his hand to it.

Hurt like a b***h but he was still alive and now getting to his feet he found something interessting, despite the swaying deck the arrow in his shoulder remained fixed if he got to dizzy he could stare at it to feel better. But first, kill the son of a b***h who did this, scanning the deck his eyes alighted on a soon-to-be unfortuante sniper, Derrin glanced back to the arrow and quickly passed the tome into the hand on the injured half of his body, despite the fact that he couldn't lift it anymore he could still grip the book and recite from memory.

And so raising his uninjured hand towrds the sniper, he let a bolt of lightning fly, the sniper was about to find out Derrin's aim had suddenly improved.

He'd have to thank the corpse later.

♥ Super Awesome Ostian Noble Lady ♥

It was going all wrong- all wrong! Not only did she not have a handservant to attend to her every need, but the blond man who was apparently in charge was an insufferable, pompous a**. Though his brashness might have reminded her of Lord Hector in her days in Elibe, Hector didn't give a care about his noble status. Meanwhile, this pretty boy had seen fit to rub status (status that he couldn't prove, mind) right into her face! Truly infuriating. She thought about giving him a piece of her mind, but in the end decided that these brigands were a little more pressing.

But not by much, really. And she did not like this boy attempting to boss her around!

Rather than taking out the archers, as Arashe had asked- as if she would listen to him, the arrogant thing- Serra instead drew a small book from a pile she had found below deck. Presumably, the other bishops had brought them along; and if they could shoot off magical balls of light like that, then she could, too!

"All right! Get ready to face the wrath of the mighty Etrurian noble, the awesome Serra! ...Let's see..."

Snapping open the book so that the middle was open, Serra began to incite the words that, for all her heart, she believed to be the words of Sacred Elimine, intended to wipe out all the blasphemers from creation!

"'Crawling at your feet, you may observe a Bread-and-butter-fly. Its wings are thin slices of bread-and-butter, its body is a crust, and its head is a lump of sugar...' Wait, this can't be right!"

With an indignant screech and a start, Serra threw the book aside, 'borrowing' the extra Light tome that a Bishop had affixed to his belt and reading from that, instead.

As expected, this time she felt the divine power of Elimine course through her very veins.

But goodness, did it come out in such a mess! Rather than a single, concentrated burst of light, the spell seemed to go rather awry, shooting up into the sky as her inexperienced hands bungled with the new-found power. With a look up, she flinched a bit and made sure that the poor bishop she had burgled was now closer to the mast than she.

A little bit of smoke and flames never hurt anyone, right?

((...Yes. Serra just attacked her own boat.))

User ImageDietrich squinted as his axe was thrown back to him, and he caught it by the handle, but fumbled it a little and gave himself a bit of a gash on his arm as he dropped it. He bent over, fell on his hand, then picked his axe up and shimmied his feet forward until he could stand himself upright. After clipping the weapon back on his belt, he turned and gave Caspian an exaggerated wave!

"Thanks for your help! I really needed this thing!" He turned away with a smile, adding, "You know, these guys aren't all bad. Little froggy maybe, but they can't help that."

A passing glare from the crewman he had spoken to, who was busy trying to put out Serra's fire, reminded him he had a goal here.

"Right, right, kill them." He sighed, shaking his head, then threw his axe back through the air... and it fell into the cannon on Tighearnach's ship.

Unfortunately, the metal scraping the inside of the barrel ignited the gunpowder inside prematurely.

pirate Yo ho, yo ho
----------------------------------------------------------
Muir clashed blades with the female hero. The first attack was parried. That was at least expected. After all, this woman couldn't have gotten very far if her skill with the sword was shoddy. After all, it would explain the Iron Axe resting against her hip (I think that's where it is. Correct me if I'm wrong), which probably meant that axes were her secondary. Muir, too, had an axe, but like the girl, it wasn't being used. It was at least on his person though. And it was a Steel Axe. Slightly stronger than the Iron type.

Muir already knew the sword this hero was using was special. After all, how many blades could shoot a blast like that? He knew about the rare magic blades, but none of them looked quite like this one. And he had heard the magic swords worked like magic when used long range. This girl's sword merely sent a blast. More intel was needed on this woman's weapon.

She was smiling now, but this didn't faze Muir. After all... if there was one thing Tighearnach forced his crew to understand besides the fact that they were all family, it was to never underestimate the opponent, no matter the age, gender, or ability. It seemed the captain had learned this the hard way, but he would never tell the crew the tale. A shame...it seemed like it would have been an epic story. From his analysis of her, there was no way he could allow himself to underestimate her.

The woman was swinging that big sword of hers at him now, aimed at the chest. Muir took a step in, bringing the Steel Blade with his dominant arm and around to block the swing as he did so. His other arm rested against the flat side of the blade to ease the stress that would be on the hand holding the sword. He put much of his weight on the foot that was on the opposite side of the swing. He might have been pushed a little from the brunt of the swing, but overall, there was no damage to his body. Muir then slid the foot that supported his weight in front of him, turning his body (his arms were now in front of his chest, still blocking the sword that had clashed against his), before he brought his elbow down on the girl's unprotected head with the arm that was holding the sword, his arms repositioning slightly to continue blocking that sword of hers.
..........................................................................
The faceless pirates, who had let the small group led by Jin through while they were putting out the flames, merely turned around before launching an assault from behind these guys. Jin's small faceless group was now separated from the rest of their comrades. The rest who didn't bother putting out the flames helped out, though a few followed after their captain up the boarding plank to assist taking out those pesky Bishops and archers. A few were hit, but if they were to retreat now, it would only mean more of these guys would board their pirate ship. And they couldn't afford that to happen. Those that took serious damage retreated a little to find their healer. And those that died...well, that just made the pirates fight more fiercely. They were losing 'brothers', after all. Grieving could be done after this battle.

One or two of the Learanian archers were successfully shot by the pirate archers, and one Bishop would find an arrow cleanly placed between the eyes for a lethal hit, deftly handled by Hadrian as he alternated between the sea-sick mage and the long range units.
..........................................................................
Glaucus noticed that a dark-cloaked man was approaching the cannon. He had to be stopped. So he stepped forth, cutting off the man's path. A few moments, there were blades of wind coming for him. It...didn't look that dangerous. He shrugged off some of the wind with a surprisingly decent res for a rogue class as he sped forth. His cloak was torn a little here and there from the spell he wasn't able to shrug off before he drew twin knives. He took a step in front of the man moments before he swung the first poison-tipped knife down at him.
..........................................................................
Tighearnach had already knocked several of the Learanians off the boarding plank into the water (either fatal hits or mere smites) and was just about to shove another off with a mighty swing. His eyes flickered up momentarily to see the blond loading an arrow, aiming for him. The captain made it seem like he shoved the unmounted horseman, but his wrist flicked around quickly, catching the Learanian's wrist. But he was unable to pull the man in front of him to serve as a meatshield, and the first arrow lodged itself into his chest. Tighearnach grunted, but it only fueled his anger more. This pain...was nothing compared to the pain in his heart as his 'sons' were being killed here and there by these Learanians. While the shot wasn't fatal, there was still the arrow in his chest. The captain's eyes never moved away from the Sniper, and he could see a second arrow already prepared. Tighearnach pulled the unmounted cavalier in front of him to serve as a meatshield, wrenching the poor soldier's man behind his back and taking a grip of the back of the breastplate with his fingers. These soldiers had...such tiny wrists.

Arrgh...this snobby (he assumed Arashe was a snob. Weren't all nobles snobs?) landlubber was aiming for his head this time. He had put just a little too much power lifting the horseman, and the poor sap took an arrow to the abdomen, as well as dislocated his shoulder with such a lift. The meatshield served its purpose, and it was cast aside into the ocean to die like a person would cast aside garbage. The pirate hurried up the rest of the boarding plank, his faceless comrades running close behind as Tighearnach went back to berserking his way up more fiercely than before.
..........................................................................
Huh...the mage he just shot took the arrow. But for some reason, it didn't slow him down at all. This was...most unpleasant. Hadrian took the opportunity to shoot a Bishop between the eyes with the short bow while Derrin checked his condition, and the moment his gaze shifted back to the mage, Derrin was already readying another spell. Hadrian nocked another arrow onto his short bow.

Who said mages had shitty physical defense? Yam had surprisingly decent def for a mage, and good res too. Seems like find anomalies in physical and magical attributes in a person's class was possible beyond the shop.

Derrin let a thunderbolt drop, but the Sniper didn't waste any time evading. Step step step (the bolt missed, but narrowly. How could one aim so well despite the pain), then twang went the bow as the arrow sailed, aiming right for Derrin's uninjured shoulder.
..........................................................................
And it seemed like someone on the Learanian side had somewhat started to set their own boat on fire. Hah! Thanks for helping us out~
..........................................................................
Ohshi...did something just fly into the cannon? ********, that would make it explode if it hit ******** IT HIT SOMETHING! Llyr cowered for a moment, waiting for the explosion that would off him and several others near the craft. But nothing happened.

"...Eh? Why no boom?" asked the fire mage. He opened the hatch on the back of the cannon to take a look. "Oh...no gunpowder."

Were they not in battle, the only-normal-member-of-the-Phantom-crew Andrew would have facepalmed.

"...Did you forget to load the gunpowder again...?" he asked Llyr.

The mage thought, and thought, and thought. "Sorry. Da what?" came the clueless response.

Now Andrew facepalmed. "You forgot the gunpowder. One of these days, that forgetfulness of yours is going to get us all killed." growled the myrmidon.

Llyr made a 'D:' face. "Wah! I'm sorry! Captain gonna tie me to da mast again fer forgetting again!" he cried out, a lone tear forming in his eye.

"This is probably one of those times where your forgetfulness saved us. Now get in battle and give us a hand. We'll have someone else sort out the cannon." Andrew said with a small smile.

The young fire mage nodded, wiping away the tear. He couldn't have possibly been more than 15 years of age...easily the youngest of the crew to have a name, but the kid did have some skill with magic. He frantically looked around for the other fire mage, finally seeing him coming out from one of the cabins leading to the lower lowers. "Chris number 13! Take ova da cannon!" he called out before he moved out from behind the cannon, Elfire in hand, to help Glaucus with Jin.

Andrew sighed. "That's Chris number 17...Chris number 13 is a wind mage (the dead one)." he muttered, shaking his head as the faceless fire mage went to the cannon to guard it. A pirate would be coming up later with a bit of gunpowder to load the thing so they could actually fire it, but not now. Andrew sighed once more as Llyr let out another shake apology before the myrmidon readied his Killing Edge to go help cover the cannon from possible attacks.
..........................................................................
Caspian let out a great big laugh (almost Dolza-like), before he waved back to Dietrich. Kid seemed like a nice guy, even though he did kill one of his friends and injure another-- oh wait, the mage was already back into the fray. Goody.

Huh? Why was that axe...it just went into the cannon. He waited for the should-have-happened explosion, but it seemed that Llyr forgot to load the gunpowder into the cannon...again. The fire mage was a good guy...just...really, really forgetful at the worst possible moments. But was this a good moment, perhaps?

Caspian went to the cannon, killing a Learanian here and there with a Killer Axe, before he reached his arm inside to pull out Dietrich's Hand Axe. He then walked back over to where he was before, ignoring the crunching sounds of the fallen people he walked over, before he waved at Dietrich with his hand axe.

"Hey! Kid! Ah got eet back! Let's play catch!" he called out before he threw it at Dietrich again.

((Another long post. If you went tl;dr last time, this'll help you out. Andrew and Yam can't act until Clara and Valter post, even though Andrew does speak here. Muir stopped Blossom's sword swing by using his sword and his free arm as a support before he turned his body to bring his elbow down on her head. Glaucus nulled a bit of Jin's wind spell with his magic resistance before charging in to slash him with a Poisoned Knife. Tighearnach used a Learanian faceless as a meatshield to take both of Arashe's shots, and is now charging up to his ship with a few pirates to help him. Hadrian dodged Derrin's thunder spell and just fired another arrow at Derrin's arm/shoulder (I forget which one...it'll be too hard to find it at this time.). Serra...was kinda left alone for now, since she just set her own ship kinda on fire. Llyr and Andrew resolved the cannon incident (it did not explode, thanks to Llyr being a forgetful kid and forgetting to load gunpowder into the cannon. Not the first time he forgot to do that either. XD). Llyr's now helping Glaucus against Jin, but he hasn't attacked yet. A nameless fire mage is now taking over the cannon, but it won't fire until someone gets some gunpowder up there. And Caspian recovered Dietrich's hand axe while Andrew and Llyr were talking about Llyr's forgetfulness and the cannon before throwing it back to Dietrich. Seems like he wants to play catch. And...that should be all the named people's parts.))

"But Derrin I don't think you should..." It was too late for Clara to stop him. He was already casting his lightning. Derrin's aim was bad, very bad. Arrows were flying and the fighting had started. She was defending herself well, but wasn't sure Derrin was going to fight well while sea sick. She also wondered who decided to set this boat on fire.

"Derrin I really think you should save those speAH!" Clara let out a yelp when she saw and arrow go by her. She was just able to get out of the way. She then heard a yell and a thud. The myrmidon's eyes widened. She knew Derrin was some where behind her. She was scared that he had gotten hit in the chest with that arrow. She heard him hiss at the pain. That meant he was ok, for the most part.

Clara's look of worry then changed to a look of rage. Derrin had gotten hurt. They were going to pay. She wasn't looking to stop the people she was looking to make them hurt a little. That was one of the things with Clara. Hurt someone she cared about and she was going to make you pay. She stood ready for the enemy to come.

(I didn't want to get on Clara's account for this post)

...Injured with pain and sadness, the you that cannot be healed
Shoulder the burden of the past that cannot be erased; don't throw away your
will to live...

Blossom tried not to flinch as she heard the blast of a magical spell somewhere behind her. Don't look, you'll open yourself up to attack, she thought, following through on her swing. The blade stopped inches above his chest, his own Steel Blade and strength enough to hold back her attack.

The Hero gritted her teeth, trying to push harder to make him stumble, enough of a falter to get in a free attack. He instead began to slide, twisting around. It was too controlled an action to have come from her own efforts, and as she tried to figure out what was going on, she could practically see the shadow of his arm going down towards her head.

Blossom barely managed to duck away from his attempt to knock her out cold, stumbling back and to her left. His sword was positioned to protect himself from the front, though he could easily move it to deflect another attack.

With one hand on the dull base of the blade--since Vezra was such a large weapon, the sword itself had a small base of pure, un-sharpened metal right above the hilt to use for extra leverage capability--and her other hand tightly clenching onto the hilt, Blossom swung the might blade in an arc at her opponent's knees before bringing Vezra back to a parry.

It appeared as though the enemy was a little craftier than originally thought. A Bishop saw Derrin get shot in the shoulder with an arrow and, knowing how useless an injured Mage could be, quickly ran to his aid. He unceremoniously ripped the arrow out, disregarding any complaints or shouts, and healed the wound with a staff. Moments later, an arrow met the Bishop's face, and he was sent sprawling out onto the deck. Looks like Derrin would be thanking that corpse. Another Bishop, seeing Serra's terrible, terrible aim with the Light spell, began to ascend the mast farthest from Arashe as quickly as he could, sticking to the side that left the mast as a wall between him and anyone trying to see him. If he didn't hurry, that mast could burn!

As Tighearnach kept powering across the main plank, a few of the remaining swordsmen quickly hopped from the outer two to the larger one in the middle. After all, there had to be a little space between the pirates and their captain, with how much berserking he was doing. Even if there wasn't the space, the swordsmen could always leap across and shove off someone on the other end of the plank. And if necessary, that was what they did, as five of the swordsmen hopped onto the middle plank, situating themselves between the brunt of Tig's followers and those closest to him, as they began to attack the enemies closer to the Phantom. The archers, seeing this tactic, decided to aim a good amount of their shots, roughly five archers worth, towards the few directly behind Tighearnach, while the runoff from the side planks kept them from getting too far onto the deck. After all, if they just ended up boarding each other's ships completely, it would defeat the purpose of a battle! And of course, the Learanians on the farthest parts on the side planks were still battling with the pirates. But, the ones on the right, still with numbers quite on their side, mercilessly attacked the pirates between themselves and Jin's group of faceless soldiers. After all, if they got surrounded, they were as good as dead!

Arashe sneered as he saw the Berserker snatch up a soldier and use him as a shield. What a cowardly act, especially from who seemed to be their Captain! But, he did manage to take an arrow into the chest, first, so it couldn't demand much more force to take him out. He quickly walked the maybe five steps it took to place him in front of the front mast, facing the Berserker as he finally touched down on the Learanian's deck. This time, there weren't any soldiers, allied or enemy, for him to hide behind. So, he quickly knocked an arrow into the Brave Bow and aimed towards the Berserker's chest. But, he quickly aimed it a little lower and fired it towards Tighearnach's right leg (assuming that's the closer one), banking on his speed to have faked the man out. But, as was customary for Brave Bows, he still had another arrow to fire! So this time, he instead aimed towards the Captain's chest, specifically the pectoral muscles on his left, right around where his heart was. After all, he surely wouldn't be expecting an arrow to fly towards the opposite end of his body, whether he dodged the one aimed at his foot or not.

Jin found himself face-to-face with someone who... might've been a passable copy of himself. Apparently decent mental defenses (although come on, this was Wind, and Jin was no Athos in terms of magic), with twin knives to boot. Not many kinds of people fought with twin knives, and when two people fought with twin knives, neither one could do much else besides dodge the others' attacks...

But not everything about this fight suggested "stalemate"--his opponent lacked magical attacks, so he had no choice but to strike physically. If he misstepped, Jin had the luxury of countering. It didn't seem like he'd done so this time, but that was fine. Attrition would win the day, here.

He just stepped backward, not even trying to fight back with his own knives. With one of his opponent's knives away, Jin could strike, but the risk of counterattack was too high to do so just yet.

Instead, having stepped back, a menacing fireball appeared above his head. Jin just pointed at Glaucus, and the fireball sailed for his feet. The Rogue COULD step out of the way, but at this range, he'd still have to deal with Elfire's area of affect (burning some of the ship around him), plus another deck fire to deal with.

Valter, being the captain of the group, led the charge. This made it immediately obvious to any onlookers, and reminded his own troops, who was in charge. Proving that not all pirates are complete idiots, one of them even decided that it would be a good idea to his said leader in the shoulder with an Elthunder. This would have knocked him off of his wyvern, had he not been strapped in. The captain did, however, have to switch his lance to his off-hand, because an Elthunder to the shoulder tends to temporarily impede one's ability to use the matching arm. Fortunately, Valter was not a fool, unlike most people that are not Mr. T. The captain had trained himself to use both arms, to the point of being almost ambidextrous. He did not regret this decision.

His wyvern being unhurt, Valter charged towards the mage that had attacked him. He wanted to finish this before he got targeted by too many archers. So, using the leftover momentum from the dive, the wyvern rider rocketed toward the mage, just like he had practiced thousands of times. When he was within striking distance of his target, he thrust the lance with all his might...

Other people: *Destroying the ballistae*

By the way, Valter did not attack a ballista. This is because he was being attacked. I totally did not half-a** this last part.

Also, the people that are not Valter are being attacked. Let's say one of the wyverns was killed, crashing into and destroying a ballista, and for the other, the rider was hit in the gut. There.

[I am in an airport. Excuse this being shitty and me being too lazy to drag up a post style.]

Dietrich watched the axe sweep around toward him, and suddenly the boat pitched a little and he stumbled forward. The axe missed him completely and thunked into the mast behind him. "Huh. What a nice guy," he murmured, pulling the axe out, then nodded. "Right. I wanna go shake that guy's hand!"

So he started wobbling across a plank.

Dipshit.

Andrew, the only normal guy on the Phantom, proceeded to slash, parry, and dodge pretty much whatever faceless Learanian tried to get past him. Some of those guys dropped easily, the others took a little more. Once three of four of these guys were dropped, Andrew started to move away from the cannon, going to assist one of the faceless groups near him.
.......................................................................
Yam smirked when his Elthunder hit the wyvern leader, but it didn't seem like the attack did much to stop him, except take out his dominant arm for a bit. And now he was diving right at him, lance thrusting...

...Only to have it hit nothing but air. Yam, former acrobat in a circus and thus having slightly better speed and skill compared your typical mage, backflipped away from the lance and landed atop of the shoulders of one of his pirate allies. The pirate stumbled slightly with the new addition of weight, but his overall high con made it seem more like a rescue. Fortunately, the faceless had Savior...somehow.

"Bolt of Zeus, I call thee. Elthunder!" he shouted.

Another Elthunder dropped from the sky, going for Valter once more. Meanwhile, the other thunder mage and the winds mages continued to fire their spells at the wyverns flying about, and dropped another scaly bugger.

Clara started making her way across the plank. She started to cut down any faceless guy in her way. Those that were cut down on the plank fell down to the sea from the cut or kicked down by her. With one more slash Clara made her way across to the other boat.

----------------------------------------------------------
Muir did slide a bit from Blossom's swing, but it wasn't enough to make him stumble. And drat, the woman evaded the elbow by stumbling back. He extended his arm in fluid motion with the first elbow attempt, but came up short as the sword nearly struck the deck, close to her feet.

He pulled his weapon back as the girl prepared to swing. This time, she attacked from the ground up, intending to get his legs. He merely sidestepped, since vertical swings did not hold that much threat to him. She quickly pulled her sword back in an effort to defend herself, and Muir would have responded with a kick at the sword to push her back, when he caught the scent of gunpowder amidst the field of combat. His eyes shifted to see a small pirate running towards him, with what seemed like a small barrel tied to his back.

So they were going with that, huh? That healer of theirs was a crazy ********, coming up with such a thing. But...sacrifices had to be made to keep the rest alive, he supposed. They were getting pushed back by the Learanians, after all. Captain Tighearnach would never approve of this idea...but...some things just had to be done for the sake of their survival.

Muir grabbed the thief by the front before lobbing him into that ******** over on the right side of the ship, near where Glaucus and Jin were fighting as well as a bunch of the faceless Learanians, who were overwhelming the pirates on that side (both Glaucus and Jin had moved far enough away from the cannon so that they wouldn't be in immediate danger), near the edge of the ship. Muir then shouted out to Llyr to shoot the barrel.
..............................................................................
Llyr heard the call and turned to see a thief in the air, barrel on his back, lobbed to the right of the ship, near the ship edge. So...they were going with that, huh? Poor captain.

There seemed to be some hesitation, but a Fire was cast, aimed at the kamikaze's barrel. Llyr's lips moved as if he were mouthing an apology.

The result? An explosion behind the Learanians, destroying the right boarding plank. The blast knocked everyone on the right side off their feet. Jin's fireball went over Glaucus' head, off the ship. The flames also fell onto both ships, resulting in a fire on both decks. There was also a sizable hole on the right right side of the Phantom, and a smaller one on back left side of Arashe's ship, though both were high enough on the ship to not be at any risk of taking water. The wyverns in the airspace on the right would lose control momentarily due to the sudden hot air from the blast, making them easy targets for the mages on the left side of the ship...were both the ships not rocking from the blast. Those still on the left and center planks would stumble as the planks shook violently, but only a few would still be on them as the rest let out cries before hitting the rough waters ********. Tighearnach would not be pleased that his crew had planned such a thing behind his back.

((Long story short...Muir dodged Blossom's strike, threw a thief with gunpowder on his back towards the right plank where most of the faceless fighting's going on. Llyr casts a Fire and makes a kaboom on the kamikaze. EVERYONE STUMBLES. I don't care who you are. UNLESS you are Valter, you are no longer ON YOUR FEET! Both ships are also on fire, by the way.
...Have a happy 4th of July. This was my contribution to it. :3))
