"Well you might learn to get used to it" she mused thinking of him visiting her at her current daycare job. As for his first response she snuggled closer, "Then I suppose we're stuck together Mr. Jordan. I think I'm going to like this very much."

Hal placed an arm around Polaris as she snuggled close to him, "You know, I think I'm going to like this too."

Polaris snuggled even closer as her paws wrapped around his face pulling him to her. "Definitely" she murmured breathing in his scent as her lips touched back upon his. Her tail wrapping around his own.

Hal's arm pulled Polaris even closer, it almost seeming like modified snug... head leaning itself into the kiss.

Polaris released him though her paws never left go of her new find in her life. Her secret life of helping others and defending what was right settled itself to helping with the children in the daycare. Since Lake Haven was full of kats coming and going there was always a new face for her to fall in love with. For the time being it was Hal she had given her heart to.
She settled herself leaning back into him so his arms could wrap around her lithe yet defined waist. Tails entwined she could lie there forever but soon morning would come and her work would start again.
"Hal? Do you think I should call off today and spend it with you? Or do you have work yourself you can't get out of. I think I'm fancying the idea of a picnic perhaps to celebrate."

Hal let his other arm soon wrap itself about Polaris, pulling her against him as he leaned back some.
"I don't have anywhere to be today... so I'm all for that idea."

She nuzzled into him as her head rested on his chest, a deep heartbeat speaking back to her. "You have a wonderful heartbeat Hal. I love you." She smiled thinking she was silly yet in her heart she would stay with him forever. Of course this was new and all but they'd both adjust. She could openly admit she needed him now.

He hadn't really expected to hear those words pass her lips so soon, his brow giving a casual arch on first hearing them before smiling about it... or what would be considered a smile on his part, arm hugging Polaris close. "I love you too..." He uttered back.

Perhaps she held her breath just to hear him utter those words but when he did she felt easier. To her it was complicated yet she understood why she had said it. It simply felt natural after everything in this evening. Heck even when they met things fell right into place. She closed her eyes finally letting herself drift off in the security of his arms. The soft breathing deep within her chest grower more drawn out yet steady. This was a wonderful dream which she hoped she'd never awaken from.

Hal could feel Polaris beginning to drift off while she lay in his arms, the smile still on his face as he pulled as close as he possibly could... just taking the time to enjoy the moment.

Polaris stirred only slightly letting herself relax against him. If this truly was a dream she never wanted to awaken, yet she knew day would arrive faster now and once again her life would begin anew with the daycare work. Unconsciously, she brought her paws up to wrap around Hal's wrists feeling the warmth of his form radiating through her. as the night shifted to early morning she shivered in her sleep snuggling even closer to her new mate.

A paw reached up to run itself through Polaris' green hair, his other arm still coiled tight about her in a comforting snug. He definitely didn't want this to end either...

Inevitably night drew itself firmly to morning. Polaris moved slowly as the sun beckoned to her to rouse. She groaned not wanting to wake from that beautiful dream. Murmuring, "Hal? Do you still love me?" she heard his heartbeat as well as feeling his arms around her. Smiling she refused to move any further enjoying his warmth. Just a little longer...

Hal hmms as Polaris begins to stir, having pretty much been awake the whole night... maybe having dozed off once or twice before snapping awake... "Yes... there a reason I shouldn't?"
