Lacey glanced at the red haired girl. She seemed a bit annoyed at Kiniri. The other girl was rather talkative it seemed. Her eyes shifted to the owner as he explained something. Wait! The red head didn't ask a question did she? What he said was odd in general. He made it sound like the place was alive. That was when the red head slid her ID to the bar tender. Oh, so she wanted a surprise drink. This shall be interesting. Her eyes where fixated on Christoph as he made the drink. A smile appeared on her lips, but one thing was curious. The bottles without labels. Come to think of it. Why did the girl even show an ID? Maybe she was in fact underage and just wanted to try to prove the contrary right away.

Elijah flashed Christoph a smile before grabbing his drink. "Thanks man," he paused to take a sip, "good to be back." He turned his attention to the lady hanging off his arm. "As much as I would love to continue this," he began with a smile, "I have some business to attend to." He gave her a soft kiss on the cheek before walking past her.

"But...wait...you won't be too long will you?" she replied in a disappointed tone. After all, they just started talking.

Elijah smiled gently before replying back. "Who knows...but you'll be the first one I'll look for when I'm done." He left her with a wink and a smile before he looked around the room. It didn't take long to spot Gavin. He made his way over and slipped into one of the chairs at the table. "He here yet?"

"No," he gave a simple reply. Gavin looked at the girl that was obviously pining over his best friend. Girls always flocked to that guy. Some think that Gavin gets jealous over that, but in reality he doesn't care. In fact, he wouldn't know what to do with himself if a bunch of girls started 'harassing' him.

That was when their other band member entered the place. He was kind of dressed like Gavin, but with lighter colors. Extremely light blue hair fell into his eyes a bit as he scanned the room. When he spotted them, he made his way over. "What's up?"

Gavin gave a slight nod as a greeting and turned his attention toward the band that was playing. It wasn't that the two didn't get along. It was more like they both didn't bother to make an effort to converse. Of course, Gavin just didn't like the guy. He has felt like something wasn't right about him from the beginning. Since he is so nonchalant about everything, Elijah hasn't really picked up on any of this. It didn't really matter. After all, Gavin decided to let things be because the guy was Elijah's friend. It's not like he had any good reasons to complain about the bassist.

Kiniri tilted her head slightly. Anita didn't seem to like her...she turned to Lacey. "It's great to meet you! Do you play an instrument? I'm a flute player," she said, taking a sip of her drink.

Anita eyed Christoph as he made the drink, completely oblivious to the odd fact that some of the bottles had no label. When the man handed Anita the drink with a smile, the teen nodded in thanks and took it.

She didn't try it right away, instead she reached over the counter to grab her ID back and watched the entertainment on stage.

"Oh, Cristoph! Could you refill this for me please?" Kiniri sang, smiling sweetly. She rested her chin on her hand and waited.

Elijah finished the gulp of his drink that he was in the middle off. "Hey!" he exclaimed as he did a little fist bump greeting with the bassist. "Finally decided to come eh!?" He asked with a teasing smile.

"It looks like you just got here yourself," he replied while nodding to the half empty pint of Guinness.

Elijah let out a short laugh before replying. "You know me..." With that said he finished the rest of his drink and slammed it on the table gently. "Whew! That's the stuff!" He hopped out of his seat and grabbed his empty glass. "Do you want me to get you something?" He was still talking to the bassist. After all, everyone in the group knew that Gavin didn't drink. In fact, Elijah knew that even if he asked that Gavin would say that he didn't need anything. It would just be a waste of breath to ask. Elijah found that out the hard way. He used to ask Gavin all the time because he didn't like to assume, but then one day Gavin just told him not to bother asking. Well, he didn't say it exactly like that.

"Sure, give me a bud light," he responded.

"You got it," Elijah replied as he made his way to the bar. By now the bar was pretty packed, even though he basically just got here. That was how this place was. Lively and full of people. Just the way he liked it. The least busy seemed to be where the three ladies were. He walked up and flashed a smile before speaking. "Excuse me ladies." He waited a moment for them to make space before setting his empty pint on the counter. "Thank you darlings," he said with a smile. Then he looked over at Christoph. "Hey man," he paused to make sure he got his attention. "Can I get another one...and a bud light please?"

Lacey looked toward the one talking to her. "Bass," she replied in her soft voice that could barely be heard over the music. She gave a small smile before taking another sip of her drink. When Kiniri ordered a refill, her eyes glanced at the mug. A hot drink? Her eyes traveled back to Kiniri. Maybe she was underage as well, unless she got one of those delicious how alcoholic beverages. A slightly bigger smile formed on her face as she turned to look back at the band.

That is when she noticed the red haired guy from earlier. Why was he walking straight towards her. At least, that is what it felt like. She blinked at him when he first spoke. It took her a while to register what he meant. Well, it felt like it took forever, but in reality it probably didn't really seem that way to everyone else. She scooted over to one side of her stool a bit before leaning over slightly. It gave him plenty of room to set his glass down. Oh, of course that is what he wanted; another drink. She can be so out of it sometimes. When he said thanks, she merely smiled gently and looked down at the drink she was holding.

Christoph nodded, cracking his knuckles and grinning. One tall glass was flipped onto the back counter underneath a beer tap marked 'Bud Light'. Christoph hit the lever while pouring another pint of Guinness for Elijah. When they were full, he grabbed them and handed them to the young man.

"Here you go. Have fun with your band."

Christoph said this as he whipped up another hot concoction for the teenager. This time, he added a dash of cinnamon and sugar, for a little spice. He slid it to her and winked.

Erik walked up to the bar with the young woman he'd been dancing with earlier.

"Oh, hey, Phantom! Who's this lovely lady?" He smiled, adding some of his trademark charm. She giggled, blushing prettily. Erik smiled back at Christoph, a touch of pride on his face.

"She is the newest talent at the Paris Opera House. I have been teaching her how to sing. She will be the best soprano Paris has ever had the pleasure of hearing." The young woman glowed at this bit of praise.

"That's great! Maybe someday, you'll grace us with your angelic voice, mademoiselle." He sketched a short bow to her.

Erik laughed, then asked, "Might we get something to drink? Some champagne for the lady and a glass of Jurançon for me."

Christoph nodded again and quickly filled the order. Erik thanked him and returned to the dance floor.

The whole entire conversation had taken place in French. Christoph had learned several languages while working in the Haunted Music Box. He knew all of the major languages on Earth, several dialects, and a smattering of the dead languages. He was also familiar with several not spoken on Earth.

"Bass?" Kiniri said, surprised. "Wow, I would never have guessed! You're such a pretty girl, I would have thought you played a smaller instrument."

Today was the fifth day in a row he had decided to visit. There was no particular reason as to why he frequented this bar, nor any certainty in what he would do when he got there. All he knew was that when he finally sat down, with a cool cup of tea in his hands, calm would finally visit his frayed nerves. Most of the time he kept to himself, situated in one corner or another, sometimes taking up a booth if he had an instrument with him. It was normal to spot him with his blond head bowed over a notebook, a pen posed thoughtfully in his left hand. The one person he was tempted enough to talk to on a regular basis was the proprietor and bartender, Christoph.

Daniel Torrance was twenty-three, but he felt like a high school kid whenever he pushed open the door leading into The Haunted Music Box. No one ever thought him any older than eighteen and often left him alone since he didn't look like a potential drinking partner. He didn't drink all that often anyways; occasionally he would order a blueberry Long Island or passion-fruit Vodka with Sprite. That sort of order, however, wouldn't be made unless he was feeling the dragging effects of long-harbored guilt.

With a slight smile up at the bar's sign outside, the lithe blond stepped through the door. His dark green gaze faltered a second, noting the heavier crowd today. Pressing his bag close to his side from where it was looped over his shoulder, Daniel shuffled towards the bar to ask for a drink. For now, an iced tea, unless he was persuaded otherwise. Finding an empty stool, he took a seat, resting his forearms on the bar counter. The surface was cool beneath his bare skin - he wore a sleeveless hooded vest of a dark blue over a graphic tee in light green. A pair of simple jeans finished his outfit over comfortable walking shoes.

Gavin sat there with his hand in his pockets. He focused on the band playing, but would look at every person that walked into the place. As long as he didn't have to talk to the bassist in the group. He watched the newest guy to come in. He has seen him a couple times before. Not that it really mattered. After all, many people that come here tend to be regulars. At least, that is what he has noticed in the short time they started to frequent the place. He shifted his eyes to look at Elijah. Of course, he happened to be where a bunch of girls are sitting. It was possible that he would get distracted for a bit before coming back to the table. Instead of waiting to see what was going to happen, he got out of his chair. "Bathroom," was all he said to the bassist before walking away. That was not how he always talked, but he just doesn't feel the need to say a lot to particular people. At the same time, he isn't going to flat out ignore him. Then again, the two didn't greet each other when the bassist sat down. That was normal though. He would have greeted him if the guy greeted him first. He never had to worry about that kind of thing with Elijah. He was so friendly, that it made Gavin's life much easier. Well, not all of the time.

Kiniri stirred her hot chocolate idly. The band was good, but she wanted to show them all what she could do. But, since this wasn't the side of the road, she probably needed to permission to play her flute. She opened the case, admiring the silver metal of the flute. "Oh, how I would love to play you right now..." she said quietly. "But that will have to wait." She took a sip of her drink. It was more delicious than the last, and she smiled at Cristoph.

Seeing as the bar was busy, Daniel was content enough to sit as he was and wait while Christoph tended to a group of girls. Situated at the opposite end of the long counter, he could watch them without feeling too intrusive. Among them was a male he recognized as the leader of a band that often played on stage here. From what he remembered, his name was Elijah - it was hard to forget that flame-colored mane of hair. Although, now that he thought about it, he'd never heard anyone call him by his name. Instead, "Wells" seemed to be his preferred nickname. Daniel leaned into the palm of his right hand, elbow on the table. Wells, the local ladies man, as he'd witnessed time after time.

His bag's strap was heavy on his shoulder. Pulling it up, he set it besides him on the bar. Fishing inside it with his free hand, Daniel carefully extracted his newest notebook, a pen following in its wake. Glancing up, he looked on as Wells flirted with the females present. Daniel's deep green eyes shifted as a figure passed by; neck twisting, he caught the silhouette of another familiar face. Another band member - Gavin, the drummer. Contemplative, he turned away: as little he knew about Wells, he knew even less of Gavin Kogan. The man was a mystery to him, rarely-spoken, nearly as quiet as himself. Frowning at the blank pages before him, he glanced up again, wondering if Gavin and Wells were intending to play later.
