D-corp
D-corp would like to give you free vaccinations and other required childhood shots free of charge, due to a technically difficulty in sending out the letters to notify you of this need.

You will receive a series of vaccinations to protect against things such as chickenpox, mumps, and other common childhood diseases. Along with things your child's DNA would need. Rabies shots for example if they have a chance on getting that.

Do not worry about the late issue of these shots, Dcorp will take all the nessicary precautions to make sure this delay will not cause any problems.

Please contact Dcorp (PM the mule) to make an appointment.

Thankyou.

D.Corp,

Oh dear, I didn't realize. Yes thank you for the letter. I would like to bring in Keanu as soon as is possible for his shots. I wouldn't want him to catch something, and become ill. Please fit me into the first spot that is available, and send me a note regarding it. If I cannot make it, someone will bring Keanu there for his shots in my place.

Once again, thank you for updating me on this issue. I hope to see you soon for the appointment.

Quiet steps echoed up the stairs as the woman walked up to check on her son. Ah yes, her son. No matter how old he got that wouldn't change. A small smile tugged at the corners of her face, and she turned walking down the short hall to the room. Her hand quietly turned the knob, opening the door with a barely audiable squeak. There wasn't a sound inside, obviously both forms where still dozing.

Or not.

Upon walking in the orange eared feline found two blue eyes looking at her, white fur surrounding them. They where darker in the unlit room, and the creature had a more grayish hue to it's fur, the silver color crowning it's head now blackish. Ah, well Ymir wouldn't be as tired would he? The dragon simply watched her in silence, not stirring. If he had, the boy who's head rested on his hind leg in slumber would have woken as well.

Keanu had insisted that Ymir sleep in his room, and not just on blankets on the floor. No he had to be on the bed too. They where partners, equal in every way. At least that's how Keanu saw it.

She smiled lightly, and the dragon made a near silent chirp, recognizing the woman as no threat. He knew her, so it wasn't a worry. The dragon may have had a laid back nature, but it did keep an eye on the boy, not letting him out of his sight when they where outside of the house. Home... Ymir had deemed... Relatively safe. So sometimes he would wander on his own around that.

"Hm... He really has gotten a lot older..." The woman mumbled under her breath, crossing her arms, and resting her back against a wall. The dragon simply stared at her curiously a moment, before laying it's head back down to sleep. Obviously nothing serious was going on.

Raja smiled lightly, closing her eyes a moment. It seemed like it had been only yesterday he'd been a tiny little kid. Babbling in that speech. Now he had a dragon, and was going to be in those fighting classes. It was hard to imagine he was the same boy she'd first met. Then again... Didn't everyone change with time.

Still. She closed her eyes thinking back.

"Can I help you?" Her voice called, eyeing the two things on her porch, barring her exit. She was supposed to be at work, late again... Her patience was low, she just wanted to go.

"Yes, you are Raja right?"

A nod, and she turned her attention from the lab-coat wearing one, to the odd boy beside him. The kid wasn't wearing anything. That was odd, though he was furry enough if didn't matter much, and his tail was clutched in front of him. Odd, not something you see everyday.

"Right, I'm from D.Corp, you've been chosen to care for a child, this one specifically."

The figure received a raised eyebrow, and a curious 'hmm?' in response to it's words. Then a pause, as things clicked in the felines brain. Another household charge? "Do I have a choice in this?" That was the point wasn't it?

"Not really."

"Alright... Well, then..." She replied, turning, and calling into the house. It didn't take too long for the one she'd cried for to appear.

"Yes..?" Came the pale skinned male's voice, arms crossing his chest.

"Tai-Yun, see this kid? Right take him inside, get him some clothes. His name is..." She paused eyeing the D.Tech. No reply came. "Keanu, his name is Keanu. Right. Take him in get him clothes, and... Start setting up a room? I need to go to work." And then she'd brushed past, escaping without much thought of it.

How odd. She hadn't really paid any attention to what she did that day, in too much of a rush. But now... She smiled, stepping forward, and lightly brushing a few stray hairs from the boys face before moving back for the door.

How things did change.

As she closed the door, she heard a slight mumble, and shift as if something was going on in dreamland, and then silence again as he returned to his quiet dozing with the soft fur of the dragon as a pillow.

He needed a bigger bed if he was really going to sleep with that dragon every night.

Hmm... The dragon would protect him now, wouldn't it? Obviously Ymir did worry, even behind that friendly nature he was watching. She'd noticed when the dragon had spent a while checking the house for danger. Then when it wouldn't let Keanu go anywhere without it. Yes, it worried a lot.

Would Ymir... Take over her job? She frowned, letting the door slide shut behind her with a soft click, and moving for the stairs again.

"I... Hope not." Even if he hated it... She wanted to ensure he was safe, because he was infact her son. Even if she hadn't thought about it like that the first day.

"Do you ever cry?" Came the quieter boy's voice as he watched the other taking various stances, and murmuring the names under his breath. Occaisionally a swift movement, or turn accompanied the pose as if some invisable enemy had come after the boy.

"Not anymore."

"Are you ever sad?"

"Of course."

"I never see you sad."

The boy continued his movements unphased, simply twisting around, and letting loose a high kick at the air, before preparing for a new routine, and pausing a moment. He sighed, shaking his head. "Of course, I just don't let it out." He replied, glancing at Tsuya a moment, before moving on to the new set.

"Why not? Wouldn't it hurt to keep everything bottled up?" The seemingly unaging leopard demon let his ears fall, playing with one of the red twined chunks of hair that fall to around his shoulder blades. He'd tugged it in frot of him while he sat cross legged on the ground, watching the other move with rather fluid grace. He certainly couldn't move that well.

"Because if I let it all out I lose control, thus letting it out in small sad times rather than a large one is better. Or being sad when I am alone." He replied, sprinting lightly, and quickly whipping around to kick behind him, once again at the air. "Because I'm there to protect people, to save them... I can't have people saving me from my own grief."

The amethyst eyed boy frowned, looking down in thought, and continuing to toy with the braids. "Oh... That must be hard... To always hold it back."

"Aikido requires a lot of control over your body, you can slip, you can't fall. It's not only physical though..." The boy replied, sliding into a more calm posture, and lightly reaching forward, his motion was as if he was turning someones arm, flipping them onto their back, and using their own speed from lunging against them. "It's about mental as well. You can't think clearly if you're angry, or if you can be upset..." He grinned, glancing over his shoulder. "I can do the most good by remaining even, and steady. So if I am to protect others, I must be in control at all times."

The blue haired demon seemed to accept this. Then looked up, curious again. "Who do you wish to protect?"

The boy suddenly stopped, one arm hovering in the air. "M-my friends of course. And good people." He replied, regaining his posture, and quickly spinning into another attack.

"Who are your friends? I don't remember my old ones... I just know everyone in the house, and Aku, and Jin..." The boy asked again. Obviously when he had lost his memory it had left a gap that he felt a need to fill with something.

"Well... The people I meet. Like Sahra, Nero, Liang, Stella... Those people." He replied, quickly whirling around, and moving in an intricate motion to catch someone from behind.

"What are your friends like?" The boy asked again, seeming eager to learn about the people outside of the house. He really didn't get out too much.

"They are..." The boy stopped, his brow creasing as no answer came. Certainly he'd met them, could recall their appearances, but... "They... Well... Sahra is..." He drew a blank. He'd nearly forgotten the childhood meeting in the forest. Only a murmur about faeries remained in his mind. "Umm... Nero he's... Confusing." No that was only part of it. He'd seen the boy again briefly, but again... "Liang was..." Her fan, he recalled that. And that he'd learned other kids at D.corp could be mythical creatures as well. Then Stella. "Stella... she's very grabby?" He said, his voice turning into a question.

The boy tilted his head, blinking. "That's all? I could tell you a lot more about my friends..." He murmured, obviously skeptical about if Keanu was making this all up.

"I..." He stopped, ears drooping. "I guess... I was busy training... And I didn't pay much attention..." He said, glancing at the other boy. "I'll um... I'll tell you more about them later. Next time I meet them, I'll pay attention... I promise."

The other shrugged, shaking his head. "Why are you apologizing to me? I'm not the one who got forgotten." He replied, starting to push himself up. "But I know... That being forgotten, or forgetting... Neither is a fun thing... So, if I met so many people... I'd treasure getting to meet, and remember them." He replied, starting inside, the golden bracelets around his ankles glinting in the sunlight. "But for now you can just save everyone."

"I..." He frowned, glancing down. What good was being a hero if you didn't have something really special to protect. Certainly helping anyone was good, but in all of the stories they had friends, or someone, something they loved to save.

"I'll have to pay attention... And really make them my friends..." Hopefully he was right, and all things could be solved with a bit more effort.

People break sometimes... I don't know why, but they do. And it seems like... Nothing in the world can fix them...

But I guess I should explain? I haven't written in this for a while... But, I guess I thought maybe this was needed... Important. For future reference. That's what this is for, right?

Anyway... Today was odd... It was...

How can I begin to explain?

It felt like someone had died, but no one had. That was just how the house was. Quiet, broken, and... in ruins. No, no... Not the house itself, but... The people.

I don't know what happened while I was outside with Tsuya playing in the forest, but when we came back... Well it felt like the world's end had been fortold, and the date was minutes away. No one talked, no one looked up.

I think it confused Tsuya too. He's very quiet, and shy... But he's not sad. He's really happy... But even any smile he might have forced couldn't have broken through this.

We where both baffled, and no one would speak about it when we asked, it was just like a bad accident. I still don't really know what happened, but Haruki was the worst.

I know he's usually... Very dark, and he doesn't like to talk if he doesn't need to. He keeps to himself more than Tai-Yun. But it looked like he was dead. I don't know, just his eyes where empty. It's like someone said a spell, and stole their souls, all of them?

Someone must have brought up something very bad to make them all like that, because everything was intact... So it had to be words, right?

I don't understand... But it made me sad. I don't want to see people like that... Aren't heros supposed to prevent people from looking like that? What good am I if I can't do anything about it? What good am I if... If I can't prevent that?

I need to find out what happened I suppose... To find out why it happened, so I can make sure it doesn't happen again? That's what I need to do, prevent such sadness again.

I don't want to see them like that ever again... Because... It makes me very sad, and... I don't like to be sad either...

I'll write what happened later when I find out though, so I can remember what kind of things bring this up again. If I can remember my past mistakes, I can avoid letting them happen again, and that... That's what matters... Stopping it. Not making the mistake twice.

That's why this is an important book. I'll try to write in you more, so I can remember things I do wrong. Then I won't do it ever again. Like when I hurt Paxton, no... Ichigo hurt Paxton. I just didn't know how to make it better... I still don't. But how can I make it better if he hates me? If he won't listen to me. I don't think he will... He'll just...

Call me killer?

Will he do that again? I don't want him to, but even if he does. Even if he will. I should talk to him again, to try, and explain. So I can show that all cats aren't like Ichigo, that I'm not like her. I don't want to hurt him, or any bird for that matter. They aren't meant to be eaten, Ichigo killed a bird that was for looking at, it was bad, but just her feline nature. She doesn't talk, so she's more simple... That's what mum said. So that has nothing to do with me. Yes... Paxton needs to hear that, and I need to tell him. That will make it better...

I hope.

And if I can make that better... Certainly... Certainly I can make today better too. I just need to learn how to do it, then I will... I'll find a way to make those sad faces go away, so they can be happy again. So that no one needs to look like a ghost...

I'll go try talking to them again. That's the first step...

"It's Issale's fault... He should have known better." The voice of the boy's usual babysitter called. He was working on making something for a late lunch for the boys. That was right... This had all happened in one short morning, the house seeming to fall in on itself. Everyone acting like this. It had taken a bit of prodding, but finally Tai-Yun was talking. "He should know better than to bring that up around Haruki."

"Bring what up?"

"That isn't something I'm going to tell you."

Keanu frowned up at the other, crossing his arms. "Why? Are you going to say it's because I'm too little like mum? I'm not, and I can't make everything better if I don't know what happened."

He sighed, setting down the knife he'd been using to cut up the chicken to look down at the fellow leopard. "Look... Keanu, you don't want to know what happened then, and I can't explain what happened today unless you know about what happened before. It's not a matter of age, it's a matter of it being important."

This seemed to only upset the young hero to be more, and he stamped a foot. If ever Keanu had a tantrum, this was it. Even Ymir had scampered off to the boy's room after this all started up. "It IS important if everyone is so upset about it! I want to make it better!"

"Time will make it better." The pale skinned male replied, turning his attention back to the chicken. "Would you prefere spicy, or teriyaki flavouring?" The male was making one of the easy yakisoba noodle things you could buy in the store. They came with a seasoning packet, you just needed to cut up some vegetables, and meat, and cook it. Simple, and near impossible to mess up. Obviously Tai wasn't quite the cook that Haruki was.

"But I want everyone happy now..."

"Then let it be, they'll feel better if you don't bring it up." The male replied, choosing for him, and dumping in the teriyaki packet. "Really, Haruki will just get angry if you ask him about it."

"Actually he won't even respond..."

"You already asked him about it!?" He quickly glanced down at the boy, obviously shocked he was still in one piece after doing such a thing.

"Mm hmm... He stared out the window like he was dead... Then he smiled once... But... " The boy glanced up sadly. "Why did seeing someone smile like that make me want to cry?" If anything, Haru had looked as shattered as every, and it was as if all the broken pieces had been magnified by the smile, showing all the more brightly. Keanu didn't cry often, he hadn't cried since Paxton had hated him. Labeled him a killer, but at that moment he had wanted to. He didn't like seeing people like that... It hurt as much as thinking he was the one who hurt the person.

"Because... It wasn't a real smile..." Ah yes, Tai had to agree. When Haruki faked a smile it was so transparent, it was one of the few times all the hurt from past years actually showed. A true smile was rare, and so a smile in general... Most where bad from that one. Tai-Yun hadn't seen one of those fake smiles in a while, he didn't want to. That shield the red head kept up was for everyones safety, not just his own. "Leave him alone. Just leave him alone until he feels like talking again."

"But..."

"You can't help anyone who doesn't want to be helped. Haruki does that sometimes... Just loses himself in sadness."

"Why would he do that?" The boy fidgeted, starring up worried at Tai-Yun.

"Because... He doesn't know what else to do. Why do you think he buries himself in all of those facts? It's so he can think about things other than the past, he doesn't want to remember it." The feline flicked his tail, shifting the noodles in the pan as he checked to make sure the chicken wasn't burning. "Everyone has something they want to forget, some of us just have more. And some of us... Don't know how to forget it so we can move on living."

"So Haruki is stuck in the past?"

"Hmmm... At the moment yes, probably has some sad little moment flipping around in that mind of his. Sometimes I pity him, he's too smart to forget anything that happens to him... And..." The cat shook his head. "Nevermind, just forget it. Why don't you get one of those bagged salads, and mix it in a bowl? That'll go well with this right?"

"...And there isn't anything I can do?" The boy walked over to the fridge, quickly snagging the pre-made salad from one of the drawers, and ripping it open before dumping the contents into a bowl, and tearing the sauce packet open to dump on the lettuce.

"Nothing. Just give him time, it's happened before."

"Alright... But... I wish there was."

"Maybe next time, Keanu. Or better yet... Go tell Issale he's an awful person for upsetting others. Maybe if you tell him off he won't do it again. That will help."

Keanu grinned slightly at the little hope. "Alright, just as soon as I make the salad."

Hmm... It's been a while since I wrote to you, hasn't it Naito?

Well who cares, I'm writing now. BE HAPPY! Because if you aren't so help me god...

Anyway, interesting news. Haruki works for D-Corp. Isn't that hard to imagine? That grump around children, hopefully he doesn't maim them too horribly. He seemed to agree for one reason. He'd get an apartment there. I knew he wanted to get away from me, but I didn't know it was that bad.

He hates me more than he hates kids. Should I be honored, or upset?

Anyhoo, Haruki recently moved out. I've begun to notice a bit of fur buildup. Keanu is shedding. And I miss the cooking. Thankfully I've found a new cook, and I can likely badger him into cleaning. If I just let it get messy enough...

Yes, everything will work out fine. I'll have a new slave.

Anyway, aside from Haru moving out, Keanu's getting more persistent about the whole 'Sword thing.' I don't know how much longer I can keep him away from that. It's been worse since he spotted Vivina's sword at the sleepover.

On a note, I just finished fixing the house from all of that. Ah, it's nice not to have the wind coming in through the entrance anymore.

Anyway, I'm going to keep up with being harsh about that. But we'll see. Keanu tends to be very strong willed, and he's gotten a bit worse since he started those classes of his. He's also insisting on seeing Paxton in an environment where they can talk. No, I don't know what he means. You'd think it would be easy by now, but if anything I'm beginning to understand him less, and less. Like... Why on earth would he want to climb a tree, and jump out. Then repeat the action over, and over again. My son is insane. It makes so little sense.

Anyhoo, aside from that I seem to have ended up with a new son. I've named him Jeanus Rea Morro. Hopefully he won't be a crazed weapons freak like Keanu. God knows I love that boy, but he and Ymir can be very... Destructive.

Anyway, much love...

"B-Babies..." The orange eared feline gave a twitch as she quietly exited the new nursery she'd set up for Jeanus. She'd finally managed to get him down for a nap, and he wasn't going to be waking up. Hopefully. But now she needed to find out who it was who'd rung the doorbell earlier and woken the boy up in the first place.

Keanu had darted by earlier to answer it saving her from that problem, but now it was time to greet the guest. Like a good housekeeper, right? Uhg... She hated being a good housekeeper. She was social, oh yes. But BUSY, and this new kid was taking a lot of time. She adored little Jeanus, but she really didn't have time for a kid who could choke itself on a blanket the moment she wasn't looking. At least Keanu hadn't almost killed himself... Wait no, he had. At least as far as she was concerned.

"WOW! That's really neat! You'll teach me!?"

Uh oh, Keanu's excited voice generally meant bad things.

Raja rounded the corner, and stopped dead in her tracks at what she saw. Oh god no, oh god no. Not only was it her son looking much too pleased for it to mean any good for her, but...

"Of course I'll teach you, but you have to work hard."

Ikurai, that off the rocker, slightly tempermental friend of hers. She used the term lightly.

The feline had assumed she'd never see Ikurai again when she last said goodbye. The swordwoman had gone off to hunt down someone who betrayed her, and to kill them. She wouldn't be back unless she'd done it. Great, another murderer in the house. And one who'd just agreed to teach her son something?

...

...

WAIT WHAT!? A bit slow on the catch there, but finally it reached her brain. "Teach him what now? Ikurai what are you doing here? What are you teaching, Keanu!?" Oh yes, she was frantic.

"She's gonna teach me to use a sword, mum." Came the boy's reply. And the world seemed to crumbling. s**t, s**t, s**t!

"Well, I said I'd come visit when I was done, and you said I could stay as long as I liked when I did, Raja." She was smiling at the broken look on the orange tabby woman's face. How could the tall well tanned figure do that? It was anyones guess, but she was. And not the least bit bothered. "But you know, if your boy's to learn to defend himself he needs a sword. You do have one, right?"

He shook his head." No, mum won't let me get one."

"Nonsense, a boy your age should have a sword! Gotta defend yourself. We should go get one now, I bet my friend who makes a might fine blade still has a shop near here!"

"R-really!?" Oh no, he was stuttering this was bad.

"Mm hmm, come with me~!"

"YAY!"

And out the door they both walked. Raja had said nothing durring all of this because well... Her mind exploded when she heard a few things. One that her son was going to be using a dangerous weapon. Two that Ikurai seemed to be planning to stay here. And three... That she now had to deal with this. Oh gods... Keanu with a sword learning to use it now? This couldn't be good.

"My poor baby..." Was what finally escaped her mouth. No, this couldn't end well.

'Ting!'

The sound resounded as the blades clicked together again, and both figured backed off. Ikurai grinned, before sheathing the blade and waving a hand.

"Good day there, kiddo. You keep practicing and you'll get better."

Keanu blinked easing his own posture. They'd been practicing every day they could make time for a while now. Out in the backyard. Even Ymir didn't want to be near the pair as those sharp blades danced that oh so deadly dance. And Raja? Oh she was beside herself with worry. not that it did much good, not one injury had happened yet.

Ikurai was a master with blades, holding complete control over herself. Even Keanu's sloppy skills never came close to hitting her, even if he was getting better with time. And her own blade? She'd never lose control of it, and accidentally hurt the boy. Thus, it was safe, no lesson would end in a problem. All was going perfectly.

"We're done already?" Keanu looked up at the woman, frowning slightly. The lessons seemed to be getting shorter day by day. How could he improve if he never practiced?

"Ya-humm." She replied, grinning, and walking over to pat the boy ont he head. She'd been doing this since he'd gotten that fine sword. Perfect for him too. Well not quite yet, it would be when he grew. The boy looked a little small for it for now, but the brilliant silver with a frosty blue hue to it. It matched the boy's clear blue eyes. She'd taken a liking to how readable and innocent they where. Yes, nothing close to a lie resided in the boy, just an eager will to do good. "Done for today."

Something Ikurai admired.

Keanu was not to lose so easily though. Diligence and hard work where in his blood, and he couldn't accept that lessons would be over so soon. "Can't we practice some more today?"

"Noh-hun." Came the quick reply. The woman tapped his hand to show he should put the sword away.

Reluctantly he did as he was told, before looking up to her again. "Aww come on, maybe in an hour? Please, Ikurai?"

To this came a sigh, and the tan figure turned toward the house, wagging a finger in the air as if to say 'tsk tsk.' "Practice, smooth movements, memorization mean little young one. Patience is an art of the sword as well. Being over eager to attack, to strike will only bring loss in the future." She called as if saying some law of the land. Which in her mind made the decision final.

But obviously that wasn't the case for Keanu. Even after they both went inside, for the next two hours she was peppered with a request to continue every so often. Always polite, but eventually it began to grate on her nerves. Soon just to stop the constant words she agreed. This would shut him up.

The one problem with thispractice was that unlike before, when the woman had been calm and pleasant, she was upset and cranky. That didn't bode well, she intended to crush him under her blade to stop this for good today.

Keanu may not have realized it, but the practices where always the same length. Before they seemed longer because it had been harder on him, more repetetive. Not as things flowed it seemed so much shorter. Ikurai didn't like spending extra time on things, she was a creature of habit, and now the leopard was messing up that habit of her's. There would be hell to pay. Though the kind of payment that came wasn't what she expected. Or meant for.

The pair where barely past the polite bow to start before it happened. Ikurai hit too hard, sending the younger child off balance, and her blade kept going. Now without the steel of the child's own weapon in it's path it grazed flesh, leaving a line of red that soon began to grow, and flow down the boy's face. From across his left eye.

"s**t!" Came the loud cry first, as Keanu clamped his hand over his eye, the other wise in surprise. It was impossible to tell if it was just a deep cut, or if she'd accidentally just left the nine year old half blind. "s**t s**t s**t!"

Shock first registered in Keanu's mind as he stumbled, the blade struck from his hands. Then sharp pain when he was cut. Then he was sitting on his but, both hands clutching at the now warm point. Crimson running and mixing with the fur on his fingers. He wasn't crying, but his mouth was slack in a silent cry. Be it from utter shock, or pain no one knew.

What did come next was Raja running out of the house, her eyes wide. "What happe-" She never finished as she caught sight of Keanu, and the constrasting bright red peeking around his fingers and running to his chin now. "Oh my god! IKURAI YOU STUPID! I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN!"

Now, Raja knew of lot of things, but she didn't know first aide. This combined with anger led her to throw her anger to the creature holding a blood tipped blade, rather than dealing with the disaster at hand.

"'Twas a slip Raja, it's nothing big, we just need ta-"

"NO! YOU LISTEN TO ME! THIS IS WHAT COMES FROM FIGHTING!"

And the argument continued. At first Ikurai might have had her mind on cleaning and dressing the wound but she was soon just as stuck being a hard headed creature as Raja.

In the meantime, Keanu was starting to try and stand up, one hand still covering where he knew he'd been cut, the other used to push himself up. Then to clutch at the wall. What vision he had was blurred a bit by tears, yes that was it. This hurt like all he knew. More than that time falling out of the tree, or when he run into the door, or when he slipped and rolled down the stairs. Yep, this definitely hurt a lot. He left a few red marks on the side of the house has he carefully made his way toward the open glasses doors, only half noting the pair who where yelling. What was that word he'd heard used refered to woman before? Issale had explained it to him.

Oh right...

'Woman were bitches.'

Yeah, that argument seemed to prove it. They where too busy tryign to figure out who was right to help him wash this off, thankfully some grace saved him as he reached the door. Someone who was calm enough to know what to do.

"They're loud..." Came the ever monotone voice of Tai-Yun as he snagged Keanu's hand from the side of the house to drag him along to the bathroom. "Let's clean that up before you make a mess of the carpet too."

"Once they reached the bathroom Tai-Yun shut the toilet lid, and sat the leopard on it like a chair for nabbing a red hand towel and wetting it. Then drawing away Keanu's hand from the eye he gave the red mess a look, and began cleaning it up as if this was normal.

It made Keanu wonder just what had made Tai-Yun able to act as if even THIS as casual. But he allowed the other to work at the mess, leaving only one eye open. Was he half blind? He was worried about that. All he felt was a seering pain from that side of his face, one that took all his will just to keep from breaking out bawling.

"Well," Finally Tai-Yun spoke after several rinses of the rag, and continual wiping away of the blood with fresh clean water. "it looks like it just cut four forehead, and cheek. Not the eye itself. But you definitely need to keep that area clean. If it get's infected it could mess up your eye..."

How could he say that calmly? Sure it was as good a news as Keanu could get, but still! Even so Keanu remained still, and quiet as the older man began applying some antibiotics, and then placed some white bandaging over it. Then he was wrapping stuff around his head to secure it in place. The boy certainly would have made a joke regarding feeling like a mummy had he not still been in pain. It was dying down a little not though. Finally.

"Eh, you'll live kid. No need to see a doctor about it. It's just a cut. A little deep, but mostly clean. It'll leave a scar though." Tai-Yun drug a finger down over his eye to match the wound as if to show Keanu what it looked like.

"So I can still see? I can still be a hero?"

"Eh, no worries there. Now let's go wash the blood off the house before it dries..." And with that, the rather nonchalant cat was out of the bathroom, and off with the rag again. Leaving Keanu to stand up shakily, and look in the mirror for himself.

His face was no clean, free of the blood marks, though his shirt still had a few drips on it. But all of his injured eye had been covered and he went to tentatively touch it before noticing his hands where still covered from when he'd first been hurt. He carefully shoved the faucet on without leaving any smears of crimson on it, and washed the color off. Then dried thembefore investigating the spot. It only lasted a moment though, as the light press on the white clean cotton sent a new spread of pain through him, and he gave up on it.

Tai-Yun had said he could still be a hero. So it was fine. He could see... Well enough, anyway. He turned walking for the door, slightly misjudging it due to his new blindspot, and brushing the wall. He'd just need to practice a bit more again. Oh well, it'd get better. Tai-Yun said he'd see again. Why would he lie?

Nothing would change, nothing could. People needed help wether he was hurt, or not. Yes, he still had a duty.

((MSN PD with Kale & Keanu)) 'Not Quite a Class'

Quote:
A huff escaped the boy as he idly kicked at the floor a few times. He wasn't wearing shoes of course, he tended to hate the things. Too stuffy. But his mum insisted on him having something. So wraps. They weren't really all that much better than shoes though, now that he thought about it. Oh well, what could be done, as long as mum was in charge, well he didn't get a choice on this one. She'd beenvery strict about that. So it was listen, or stay inside all of the time. Frankly, the idea of being locked inside bothered him a lot more than dealing with footwear ever would. So... Well that was how it was. Though he didn't see the point in it... He never cut his feet when he didn't wear shoes... So what was the big deal?

The boy's ear twitched, rousing him from the thoughts that had emerged due to a rising boredome. Hearing guided his eyes too... No... No one he knew. Which meant he was still stuck here. A sigh escaped him, and he crossed his arms in annoyance. This wasn't fair. He had to always stop training when his mum needed to take him somewhere, but the adults could be late to come get him? He could have been home by now if they'd just let him go on his own, but if mum found out... Well then he really would have a problem. She'd finally learned how to ground him after he'd tried to climb onto the roof from the balcony in the attic. He'd just wanted a better view... But the point was, he didn't like being grounded. And so he felt it in his best interest to avoid it...

But staying here was so utterly boring.

Glancing off to the side, he eyed the doors to the d.corp building for a moment, before glancing out to the empty outer area. Yea... That was enough of that. Quickly turning on his heel, he pulled open a door, and headed back into the building. He didn't feel like waiting any long; it felt like it had been forever, and there was bound to be somewhere fun he could hang around indoors.

He walked along down the hall, crossing his arms behind his head while thinking. What to do... What to do... Well... He paused, recalling something interesting here. Hadn't he been in that one classroom that was like a jungle a while back? The one with the little balls hidden around it. That might work... It was big, and plenty of things to train on. He just... Needed to find it...

It didn't take too long though. Just wandering around until he found the familiar hall, and the door. He quickly tested the door, seeing if it was locked, and happily found it open. Perfect, now he had somewhere to hang out until one of them showed up.

Pushing the door open, he walked in, and glanced up at the high glass ceiling above. It really did seem more like the outdoors, than the indoors in here. Why couldn't his house be like that? Closing the door behind him, he started walking in, trying to decide just was to do. He hadn't really explored the whole room yet. The last time he was in here he'd spent most of his time under the bushes, hunting for the ball. "Hmm..."

Quote:
Kale stepped into the room, Emer was right behinde him. His momma stayed by the door as Kale moved father into the lush tropical room. He had wanted to come and play for a bit. Emer sat down with her laptop to contuie her work as Kale got to run about and play. He walked futher into the room, pausing to look at one of the flowered bushes, blucking a large blue one and started to munch on it as he moved. Pausing at the pool and frowing when he relized he couldn't get into the water. He sighed as he sat down, looking around as he nibbled on his little snack.

Quote:
The boy had wandered in past some bushes, and trees before realizing he had. Well he was out of sight now, so if anyone came in he wouldn't get yelled at immediatly at least. He crouched down, eyeing the bush before him for a moment, before dismissing it as nothing. Maybe there where some exotic type sof plants in here. Not that he'd really know if one was, but he could try to spot one. It would be pratice for... Observing... Rare things! Yes, that was it. He finally smiled, starting to move along into the bushes, while watching each bush, shrub, weed, anything that seemed alive. Nothing looked all that special though, just... Green stuff. Well, obviously Keanu wasn't an expert on this subject.

The boy frowned; his tail lashing out sharply behind him, and hitting a nearby bush. That idea wasn't going to work obviously... He took a moment, musing over what to do with himself, and suddenly froze. He glanced over as the sound of something moving caught his attention, trying to spot whatever it was. But it wasn't near enough to be seen, and well... It didn't seemt o be heading for him .So he was safe?

Well that was good, but... What was in here? The boy knelt down, a smirk crossing his features. He'd have to find out. Sneakily. For when he had to infiltrate the lair of some evil creature, this would do very well for training. He pushed into a bush, shoving the branches out of his way as he moved in the direction the noise had gone, pursuing whatever it was his target was.

He had to move somewhat fast so not to be left behind, which meant he made some snapping noises in the bushes as well. Of course, he assumed he was being nice, and quiet. It was funny how things could be turned backwards in his head like that.

Finally his target seemed to stop ahead, or at least the noise did. He peeked up, out of the bush, eyeing the space ahead. What he was aw... Yellowish? No goldish, and brown. What kind of thing was this? Well certainly it was another kid... But... what kind?

Quote:
Kale's ears perked up twtiching as the small sounds alrted him to another's presances. His head twisting to look back in the diractions of the sounds, stumbling as he bolted away from the sounds.

Quote:
The boy tilted his head to one side as the creature before him started to turn to look at him, or tried to. They'd also started to run. Why where they running? He wasn't going to hurt anyone... But then again, maybe stalking after them did make it seem like that... Well, too late for that now. He'd just have to catch them if he wanted to know what the other was, right?

He quickly stood up fully, and pulled his scarf loose of a twig it had gotten caught on. Before darting out of the bushes after the other. This was speed training! Wow, he was getting to do a bunch of different areas of training today. This was a good room.

A grin spread along his face has he pushed himself to move faster, hurrying after the creature before him. He didn't look that much younger than he was. So why was he afraid? The kid was a little shorter, or at least that's what he thought. He'd find out if he ever managed to catch the boy, right? Which meant it was time to run as fast as he could. "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING!?" Well what else would he ask. Though yelling did make one lose their breath when they where trying to sprint. Oh well, maybe it would be worth it, and the other would slow down, or stop...

Quote:
He tripped and stumbled, rolling along the on the ground, the soft grass easing the fall. He sat up, breathing deeply as he blinked and looked back towareds the voice, seeing the snow lepored and smiled. He breathing slowed as he relized it was a possable friend rather then a faceless monster thing making noise. He waved, "You scare me!" The grass had cushioned most of the fall, but there was a small scrap that started to bleed a little on his knee.

Quote:
The boy suddenly had to try to stop as the other slipped, and fell, rolling a few paces before coming to a stop on the grass. Though that very grass caused the leopard a good deal of trouble as he attempted to halt himself. When he did manage to stop completely he nearly fell over forward, having to wave his arms to remain balanced. Though as he rocked backwards he failed in his attempt, and ended up on his bum on the grass. So much for grace... Thankfully it didn't hurt him too much, just a bump, grass was a fairly good cushion.

"Scared you?" He asked, tilting his head to one side, and shifting to get back to his feet. Shame wasn't part of Keanu's worries list, and so he wasn't the least bit embarrassed about his fall. "I didn't mean to, I was just wondering what was in this room... I didn't know anyone was here..." He replied, rubbing the back of his head with one hand, and grinning slightly. Well, at least the boy didn't think he was going to eat him. Which he wasn't, that would just be bad.

He eyed the kids odd hairstyle a moment, before turning his attention down to his feet. Those weren't toes. At least not like his... His unconciously curled his own toes as he thought that, before noticing a thin bit of red on the others knee where the cut was. "Eh... Did you do that cause of me running after you?" He asked, leaning forward on both of his hands, to see if it was anything bad. When he got cuts, usually it was something deep, because small things had trouble getting through his thick coat. Thus, his cause for worry. "I'm sorry about that..." He mumbled, ears drooping slightly. He didn't want to be hated because he accidently made someone fall...

Quote:
Kale blinked and looked down, carefully whiping at the small scrap whith his black tipped fingers. He smiled up at the other boy and shook his head, "It no hurt much.... stopped bleading too." There was a bit of red smeared on the short golden and brown fur, but not much and no new blood had appeared. "Is okay, Momma says gra-it-ey don't like me."

Quote:
Keanu watched as the other dealt with the scrape rather simply. Well, at least he didn't seem angry about it, infact he was smiling. Which caused Keanu to mimic the behavior as the other spoke. "I'm glad." He replied, leaning back again, his tail waving idly behind him a moment, as if he was thinking. Blinking as the other spoke. "Oh? Gravity..." He laughed. "It doesn't like me much either then." He replied, pushing himself to his feet finally, seeing as how the whole catastrophe was over.

"By the way, I'm Keanu." He said, looking down at the boy. "So... Who, and um... what are you?" He asked, not the least by shy about pointing out that Kale had some rather unique features to him as well. Though most of Keanu's interesting markings where covered by the clothes he wore. He didn't like shoes, but he liked not having to dig things out of his fur at night, so clothes tended to help with that. Kept him that small bit cleaning. He just needed ons that weren't so loose as to get caught on things.

Quote:
He rocked back and forth, his tail whiping back and forth. "I am Kale, and Momma says I am girr-giraffe." It took him a couple trys to get the word to work right with his mouth.

Quote:
His ear flicked forward again as the other spoke. A giraffe? What in blazes was that? 'Whatever this kid is!' The boys brain chimed to him happily, and that was enough to sedate the incredulous voice in his head. "Oooh... I've never seen a Giraffe before..." He replied, mentally forcing the boys image together with the idea of a giraffe. For future use. He might need to know what one was.

"It's nice to meet you, Kale." He replied, all to respectfully for his character. It was just a habit to responsd like that, something his mum had been forced to work long, and hard to get stuck in his brain. Eventually it had paid off. "Sorry about scarring you, again." He added, tilting his head to once side. "I just thought maybe you where... Ya know... Something else." He added, shrugging. Innocent mistake, it could be forgiven.

Of course, it was his nature to jump to the conclusion that any noise he couldn't identify could be a new obstacle to overcome, so... Maybe it wasn't so innocent. He had a habit for looking for trouble, and it only found him in the form of Raja's lectures usually. Nothing exciting ever seemed to happen around here...

Quote:
Kale laughed as he rolled onto his back, looking up at the cloulds threw the glass cleaing above them. "I thought you something else also. Something scary, but you not. I like you you fun." He tilted his head as he watched the fluffy white objects float by. "That one kinda look like you." He pointed to a cloud with shadows dappling it with dark spots.

Quote:
The boy quirked his head slightly to the side, ears laying against his head as the other suddenly laughed, flopping backwards onto the ground. What was so funny about him mistaking things? It had ended up with both of them falling over. Actually... That was a bit funny now that he thought about it, minus the part where Kale had hurt himself a little... He joined in with a light chuckle after the other's comment, pausing to reply, though the amused grin remaining on his face as he spoke.

"Well I'm happy to hear that, I'd much rather have people think I'm fun, than scary. Unless they're bad people, then I have to fight them so they can't hurt anyone!" He declared confidently. Before looking up at the persons new reference. Clouds... He was like a cloud? Big, and fluffy white, with a few dark splotches... Actually that wasn't too far from the truth. The boy wagged his tail slightly, grinning. "Yeah, you're right. I didn't really know clouds could have spots..." He replied, shrugging. "But... Haruki said that you can learn something new everyday if you pay attention. So I guess that's the new thing for today."

Quote:
The toddler looked over at Kenue his eyes wide, "You can only learn one new thing a day? I learn lots of new things everyday. Momma took me to a li-bra-ee and there was all these books, she said I could take as many as I wanted, but then said we couldn't take them all....." Kale seemed to say all of that in one breath, pausing to take a breath.

Quote:
Keanu shook his head, brow furrowing. "No... Well..." He paused thinking a moment. Haruki would never limit it to one thing a day, he liked to read more than anything. "I think... He means you learn at least one new thing a day?" The boy finally stated, grinning, and snapping his tail in one direction, before nodding. "That must be it, Haruki would never ever say you could only learn one thing a day." He added, nodding a few times.

"And lots of books?" He asked, pausing, and closing his eyes a moment. "Sounds like Haruki's room. Lots, and lots of books." The boy mumbled, grinning. "He let's me borrow the ones I want, so it's a good room. So you call rooms with a lot of books a library?" The boy had heard the word before, which explained why he said it properly. He just never knew what itreally meant until now. Though Haruki had sometimes said, when he was angry with someone in the house, that he was going to the library, and that it would be quiet there. Other than that, the red head rarely went out. He didn't like socializing much.

"So you like reading books too?" He asked, grinning, back onto something he enjoyed more. "Which ones? I like the ones about old things that people say aren't real, but I know they are!" He exclaimed, nodding a few times. "And I'll prove they're real too!" Eventually...

Quote:
Kale grinned big and nodded as he got up, sprinting over to where Emer sat grabbing something before running back. The scrapes on his knee completely forgotton. He flopped back down next to Keanu the binding and cover was in white leather and it had gold writing. Fairy Tales was the name of the book. Carefully almost revently Kale opned the book to show the other child all the colorful paintings of the differnt stories. The picture book was filled with water color paintings, each rich and colorful. "Momma said becuse I like books so much I could keep this one, it's my favorite."

Quote:
The boy glanced up as the other got up, then darted off without a word. Then the noise of someone coming back, and here was there again, with a book. Faerie Tales... The boy's ears fell, not in a bad way, just simply in an 'Oh', as a sense of nostalgia threatened at the edge of his mind. He'd read a lot of those books when he was younger, now he read ones with more words though. "Ohh, I used to read that sort of stuff lots." He mumbled, before grinning, and looking at the images curiously.

"It's pretty, so many colors. My books like to describe things with words..." He paused, shaking his head. "Well actually Haruki's books... But the ones I read. But those are pretty, the few books with pictures in them usually don't have such colorful things." He mumbled, watching the books book curiously.

"I don't really have a favourite one... I really just like them all." He mumbled, grinning. "Each explains things a bit different, so they're all good." He added, sitting back again, and tilting his head to once side. "You know?"

Quote:
Kale carefully closed the book and nodded, "I like them all too. But I can't read yet, so I like the ones with pictures best. I can look at them by myself. I like to do stuff myself. When I do that makes me a big boy." He grinned proudly.

Quote:
"Mum thinks I'm a little kid." The boy replied, frowning with a sigh. "That's why I'm stuck here. She won't let me go home alone..." He mumbled, tapping at the ground with one hand, then grinning. "But I'm not! I'm going to be a hero soon, like in all of the books! That's why I read so much, to learn!" He said eagerly, and leaning back a bit, before forward again. "I do a lot of stuff on my own, like my martial arts classes." He replied, nodding. "I practice a lot on my own. And I read, and sometimes make my meals. Though mum doesn't like that..." He mumbled, shrugging.

"But I want to go on lots of adventures, so I have to be able to take care of myself. Mum just won't see that yet, she thinks I'll hurt myself whenever I do something..." He added, sighing, and shaking his head. "She didn't like that I wanted to take up martial arts much. But she let me." He added, smiling. Obviously Raja was't all bad, just... A bit of an annoyance to him at times. "Still... She won't let me try learning how to use a sword like a real knight... But I'm going to find a way, because that's what a hero would do. They never give up, so neither will I!" He obviously was quite proud of his convictions. Well, diligence was certainly something to be proud of, right? As long as it was for a good thing, and not to hurt people.

Quote:
Kale's dark eyes where wide as he listned to Keanu's speech, he grinned and nodded. "Wow, your going to be a hero, like in the books? Wow that is so cool." The griffe boy was near to having the fan boy hearts in his eyes, he could see Keanu in shinning white armor and a sword.

Quote:
The boy nodded. "Yep, like in the books." He replied, crossing his arms. The grin on his face said he had all the confidence in the world that was he said was true, as did his posture. He knew what he wanted, and people said... That if you worked hard enough it would happen. Well he certainly worked hard to make it happen. Right? He worked hard enough certainly. "Mum just can't see it yet." He said again, but shook his head. "But she will. Soon." He added, nodding.

"I'm going to save princesses from danger, fight the bad monsters, and save kingdoms! Just like in the books. Evil, and bad things will fear me, and I'll find them even if they run! I'll make the world a good place for people!" He exclaimed, obviously easily excited when talking about this subject.

He glanced back at the other boy, smiling, managing to recall that not everyone wanted to hear about everything he planned to do. Oh, he was starting to notice that people where more than just future people to save. "Don't you have plans for the future? I know what I'm going to be, so many you do too?"

Quote:
Kale looked down thinking about it for a minute. "I like to put things together. Momma gives me bits to play with. Once I even put it together soa light urned on the board. But then Momma took away that pieace away and I hven't been able to do it again. I want to play with her com-put-er, but she won't let me look at it."He looked up at him and grined, "Dos that count? Is that a plan?" he asked.

Quote:
The boy seemed to muse over the answer a moment, before nodding. "So you're gonna be one of the people who puts stuff together. That's neat." He said, seeming to try, and find the name. "And inventor?" He asked, hoping he'd gotten it right. Such things sometimes came up in discussions at the house, wether they be regarding him, or not. Usually not. The conversations tended to be between his mum, and the red head. But sometimes included others. He just... Listened. While practicing his martial arts.

"I've never made a light turn on without the switches on the wall, or a string thingy on a lamp." He replied, shrugging. "Mum says I'd be bad at making stuff, cause I'm usually breaking it. But I don't mean to, it just... Get's in the way of my practice..." He mumbled, glancing off again. Obviously his flaws weren't his favourite thing, but they didn't keep him down.

The boy was back to smiling, and being curious once again. "My mum never let's me near her computer... Well it's a laptop actually. But she says it's for work only. So I guess I have to find some hero work that requires one to be able to use it once. Maybe the same rule applies with your mum's one too?"

Quote:
Kale put his chin in his hands as he thought about it, "Maybe, but I still want to look inside of it. I want to see how it works. I want to know how everything works."

Quote:
He blinked, rubbing his head slightly. "Ohh well..." He glanced down. Raja would never let him take apart her computer. Use it maybe, but pull it open? He knew the answer to that without thinking about it. "I see, well I don't think most people would let you pull things apart?" He asked, looking a little confused with the whole idea, before giving up on it. Keanu wasn't the biggest thinker, his determination, and hardworking nature are what earned him more respect.

"But understanding things is good! You'd like Haruki, he knows how lots of things work!" He explclaimed, nodding. "Haruki reads about all of that stuff in books. He says there are ones that explain why people act like they do." He added, happily. Psychology books specifically, which was odd... If they did explain people, why didn't Haruki like being around them more? People seemed nice enough. The red head was always upset when it came to them though.

"I bet he'd explain things to you if you asked him." The boy added, oblivious to the fact that there wasn't a good way for the other child to meet who he spoke of. Haruki lived there, it was a part of life that he showed up out of his room every so often. As simple as that.

Quote:
"Really? Do you think that he would really tell me how things work? Momma won't let me open her computer up. Every time I start to she catches me and I get in trouble." His lower lips stuck out a little as he pouted some a the thought of never being able to take her computer apart. Those things always fascnated him. He had already taken apart some clock work toys Emer had given him, and her VCR, andDVD player. She seemed more upset ovr those things. Maybe it was a good thing that he hadn't been able to take apart the computer yet.

Quote:
He nodded. "Absolutely, Haruki loves talking about things that are interesting. Explaining things, and stuff. He taught me a lot about mythical creatures." The boy replied, smiling happily. He knew he had to be right, with the way the room was set up. As well, the older male could always state which page the information was one. That usually baffled Keanu, but if he had a question that Raja couldn't, or wouldn't answer... Well asking Haruki usually got the information. He knew everything. Or seemed to anyway.

"Just gotta ask him, or he won't talk. He doesn't like people much." The boy explained, nodding once. The other was a hermit of sorts, hiding in the room unless he was called upon. Or he was in the kitchen preparing a meal. The boy mentally noted that he was a bit hungry, he hadn't brought much of a snack with him today, and now he was stuck here for a while. "But he's nice if you act nice." He added, recalling the many times he'd managed to snag sweets that Haruki had baked for one reason, or another. He never asked, he just snuck out a cookie here, a brownie there, that sort of thing. "But you gotta learn to read! Cause Haruki's books don't have many pictures."

Quote:
Kale nodded, there where many books that didn't have pictures. Ones that didn't have any at all. He had seen them.He wondered what kind of screats those one had. "I know my letters!" He told Keanu hoping that that was a start. Emer said it was, and he Miss Katshowed him how to spell his name an Emer helped him practice.

"Hey boys..." A soft voice intrupted thier conversation. "Snack time, here Kale.." She handed the boy a baggy fullof apple slices and carrot stics.Kale's eyes got huge as he took the baggy. She smiled over at Keanu, offering him a similer baggy. "Would you like some too?" She had the hestant deminer of someone that hadn't spent much time around children, but was trying.

Quote:
The boy nodded. "That's where I started. Learning the alphabet, then I learned to read a bit. Haru's books help a lot for getting better." He replied, giving up on calling the fellow by his full name. Almost everyone shortened it anyway. He'd learned the letters using the sheets given to him by the teacher... Kat was her name. After he'd learned those it got easier. Haruki seemed pleased that he had known how to read. And willing to help improve that. That's why Keanu assumed the red head liked teaching people things.

Ears perked at the new voice, and sky colored eyes turned in the direction it came from. "Eh?" Oh snacks... He didn't really watch until the other spoke again, holding out a similar bag to him. Fruits, and vegetables. Not something he usually ate, but when you wanted a little something to chew on before dinner, you didn't complain. "Thank you ma'am." He said respectfully, accepting the bag happily, with a wag of his tail, and a grin. She acted funny, like... Haruki when he met new people. He didn't really talk to them either, just lurked out of the way. Maybe the man wasn't so odd afterall. Certainly if there where more people like him, then he couldn't be, right?

Quote:
Emer looked like she was about o say something but closed her mouth and smiled instead. She rose, patting Kale on the head affectonitly as she pulled a lock of her short hair behinde her ear. "Thank you Momma." Kale mummred as he happily munched an apple, his ears twitching so fast they looked like they where vibrating. She grinned at the two of them, "Your both very welcome." She mummred softly as she left the two to go back to her spot. KAle grinned over at Keanu, "That's Momma, she is nice!"

Quote:
Keanu opened the bag, pulling out a carrot, and nipping off a chunkof it at the woman smiled, and then moved back in the direction of the door. He didn't say anything as he'd been taught not to chew with his mouth open. One of those rules Haruki had about giving out snacks to Keanu. He was a bit of a clean freak, and speaking with food in your mouth tended to well... Make a mess sometimes. As well it wasn't pretty to see. After swallowing he nodded in agreement. "She seemed real nice, my mum's nice when she's not worrying." He replied. "Your mum is more quiet than mine, mine's always yelling." He added, flicking an ear as if an echo of her voice threatened to cry out at the moment.

Haruki gave a sigh as he wandered the halls. 'Irresponsible idiot...' He thought to himself, recalling the excuses Issale had been making. Something about this, and that. He hadn't really listened, it didn't interest him, and the result was the same. He had to go pick up the Uncia Uncia...

He turned the hall, rounding the corner. That class Keanu liked was around here right? He'd assumed the child would go somewhere he enjoyed if he wasn't waiting out front, and well... The boy had been so excited after this one... He figured it was a good place to start. Spotting the door the map had indicated as being the one, the redhead opened the door, eyeing the area to see if the boy was there. Well... No, just a lot of trees, and a person. "Excuse me, have you seen an Uncia Uncia recently?" He asked, not bothering to question if the other would know the creatures scientific name off the top of their head. Everyone knew things like that. Or should anyway.

Quote:
Emer looked up and blinked at the red head, "Ummm, well. Not sure about that. But there is a snowlaporedboy a little futehr in playing with my son." She pointed towareds the little clearing not to far in. "Could that be who your looking for?"

There was a moment of silence from tall man, then a sigh. "Yes... The uncia uncia." He replied, quickly turning, to go in that direction. Apparently... That one didn't know what he spoke of. Oh well, he'd been right, and found the boy. So it didn't matter, in, and out. Off he'd go, and then it would be done. "Excuse me, and thank you." He replied, glancing of his shoulder, not that the woman could make eye contact, for the side of his face that had turned was covered by locks of red hair. It didn't look like it had fallen either, it was meant to be that way. There wasn't anything wrong with his eye, or face really, he just liked it covered.

He walked into the clearing, spotting the pair, and mumbling the other creatures species under his breath. "Giraffa camelopardalis... They come in a lot of shapes..." He'd met the Agapornis roseicollis briefly, and had assumed as much. But now it was simply more finalized. "Keanu, you shouldn't wander off like that..." He said obviously not the most thrilled with having to hunt the boy down.

Quote:
Kale's eyes windend as the older boy begain to scoled Keanu. "He was playing with me. I showed him my book!" He held the white leather bound book at the red head, hoping that would explain why Keanu was not where he was and his new friend wouldn't be in trouble.

Quote:
Both ears perked at the noise, and Keanu glanced over his shoulder to spot Haruki. Oh, so he was here to come get him? The boy opened his mout to reply, but remained silent as Kale spoke instead in his defense.

"That may be so, but what was he doing in here to begin with?" Came the red head's voice as he crossed his arms, looking at Kale. "He should know better than to wander around when others are coming to find him."

"Well you where late, Haruki." Came Keanu's reply. He smiled, glancing at Kale. "This is Haru who I was talking about." He pointed up at the older male.

Haruki gave Keanu a quick glance, before looking at the boy. "Issale was late actually, I came in his place. And why were you talking about me?" Yes, he didn't feel like dealing with kids a lot, why would he want to be brought up in a conversation with one of them?

"Kale wants to know how things works!" Came the reply, which only received a blank stare from the anti-social male.

Haruki didn't mind teaching, but not to little kids who wouldn't even understand what he was talking about. Defiitely not.

Quote:
Kale's eyes widned in awe as he looked at Haruki, so this is the one that knew stuff? Kale rose, and walking over to him, "Will you teach me? Show me how it all works?"

Kale looked around and frowend, "Momma gives me things to play with, but she didn't bring them here. If I bring them next time I see you can you show me how they work?" The little boy asked hopfully as he looked back up at the red head.

Quote:
Absolutely not. That's the two words that ran in Haruki's head. At least not now. "When you're older." He replied, crossing his arms and watching the boy. As eager as he was, he was stilla kid. One who likely wouldn't be able to handle most of the things that there were to learn, thus... "Perhaps in time, but for now. No. Keanu needs to head home anyway."

And when Haruki said things that meant it was the end of the discussion. At least concerning Keanu. The leopard DID have a lot of respect for Haru for what he knew, and was already starting to stand up. "So sometime maybe he can come over to hear about the stuff?" He asked, trying to help his newfound friend with the matter.

"As I said, when he's older. He wouldn't understand it right now." Was what came in the reply, and he turned, starting back for the door. "Kale was it? If you really want to learn things, read about them. That's were it all resides. In written documents about the past." That was Haruki's answer to everything, wasn't it? Books.

Quote:
Kale sat down, his face falling as he looked down into the soft grass. "I can't read, not yet. Do I have to wait?" He mumred softly.

Quote:
"Yes, you must wait." He wasn't about to bother teaching little kids. He simply didn't like them. And as thus, he used their lack of ability to give the excuse to avoid them. As well, Haruki's teaching methods where to force the child to do it themselves after seeing how it was done. Or reading. "You will need to be able to read before I will explain anything to you." With that said he continued walking. "Say goodbye, Keanu. We're heading home now." This was enough socializing for him today.

Keanu had been letting the other speak for the time, and finally nodded smiling at Kale. "He said he'd teacher you later though, so it's not a no." He called in an attempt to cheer the other up. "So we'll see each other again too. But for now I gotta go home. Bye, bye Kale!" With a wave he turned to jog after the older man in an obediant manner.

Quote:
Kale smiled, and nodded, "Okay, see you later Keanu." He waved at the snow leapored as he left with his older brother. Detrimned that once he learned how to read he would read everything so Haruki would teach him everything he knows.

"Oh gods get it off!" The cat waved it's arms quickly sending the bug flying into the air. Which earned her a look from the boy next to her.

"It wasn't doing anything you know, mum." He protested quietly, trying to spot where the black speck had dissapeared to. Hopefully it wasn't hurt. Good things should never be hurt for doing nothing bad.

"It was gross..." She shuddered, continuing along. She needed to remember what she was out to do today right. Yes, yes... Female's in the house. Keanu needed to have some sort of feminine encounters if he was to grow up a proper boy. Right? That, or she just wanted a kid who's hair she could do on a daily basis. Even Tsuya had stopped allowing her to play with his hair. So it was time to have a daughter. Yes... A little girl to...

"Chrrp!" Ymir gave a happy little cry has he spotted the mentioned building. Banir Kinderwatchamacallit. He didn't care much, it just meant it was time to find this girl thing. Raja had said something about Keanu and a little sister. Girls usually liked petting him because he was friendly. At least he thought there was a trend. This just meant another victim to suck up to for loving.

"Ohh! We're here, ok Keanu let's find you a nice little sister." And she'd completely overlooked if Keanu might feel he was being replaced. Not that he would. The kid was rather indepdendant for a nine year old, wasn't he? Oh, and nevermind the fact she might look bad because her kid was patch eyed for the time being. Nope, no problems here. This was her normal family. Speaking of normal, hopefully her new daughter would fit right in.

"S'why am I getting a sister again?" He wasn't exactly worried about it, he had enough attention to deal with as it was. Having some taken to be spent on another would be good. Then he'd be able to practice more with Raja busy, right? Jeanus wasn't exactly keeping her occupied enough, seeing as he naturally tried to toddle after Raja now. Not exactly good news for him because she had time to badger him about the sword around his waist being dangerous. Yes, another child did bode well. "I get to protect her though, right?" He added, glancing up as the pair entered.

"Because you need one." She replied, nodding. "Of course you can protect her-" she paused, brow furrowing. Wait did she just give her son an excuse to use that sword? DAMMIT! Yes, she had. That smile on his face said it all. Well curses...

Raja might have taken time to dwell on the matter more had she not spotted something that caught her eye. Beautiful red hair like Haruki's. No, not really... It was much shorter. Besides, brown feathers poked from each side in an interesting display. Oddly enough the girl was wearing nothing. Ok, Raja was assuming in this bit, but the slender naked frame had nothing on it, and it didn't seem masculine. Toned, yes. This child obviously was no prissy girl. Sadly, Raja didn't think of this as she stepped forward to examine the girl.

And by examine it was meant that she began pawing playfully at the girls hair like any motherly creature might. Or in this case, like any Raja might.

Well, Raja soon learned it was a girl. Not in the way she'd hoped though. Teeth sank into the woman's hand before releaseing. The younger creature backed off, licking a spot of blood from her lip as gold eye's blazed at the older creature. "What the hell do you think you're doing, b***h?" Was the snarl that escaped those lips while eyeing the threesome.

Meanwhile, what was Raja doing. Well for one, she was looking at her bleeding hand. Two? Trying to decide if she should wash out the young creatures mouth with soap, or cover Keanu's ears. He shouldn't be learning those words yet. Of course, she didn't know that he'd already been corrupted by Issale in that sense, and used that specific title on her before. She might have had a heart attack if she knew that though.

Now, perhaps this was good for Arianna that Raja spotted what she did next. For otherwise the soap situation might have happened. Instead, the feline realized the girl was wearing... Nothing!? Her first reaction was to turn the male leopard near her around. "Keanu you should look at such things yet." Before stomping toward the girl to investigate this.

"Young lady, shouldn't you be wearing something?"

To which came the reply of a hiss? That couldn't be good. Raja glared down at the creature. "You will speak PROPERLY!" She was acting like this was her own kid now. Sadly, Arianna didn't agree. The girl quickly turned, sticking her tongue out at Raja along with a new string of curses, and started away in a huff. Obviously she didn't give a damn what Raja thought.

Which meant Raja had all the more drive to make the kid cooperate. Stubborn feline... Meet stubborn harpy. Harpy one, feline zero... Round two... FIGHT!

The harpy was rather satisfied with telling off another of those retarded adults until she heard the hard footfalls and a hand decended to her shoulder. "Excuse me? I think we need to have a chat." Well Arianna didn't WANT a chat. She wanted this stupid woman to get it through her head that she didn't give a damn about this bullshit. Her hand raised to knock away the other, but was caught.

Ok, so kitty meant business now. Well she could do. "Leggo, slut." Ooo, another word. That orange fluff head seemed confused which meant she had no idea what she was dealing with. Good, then she'd get going soon. No one lasted long. "Let me spell it out... ********... Off!"

Well that got a reaction, but the wrong one. The brat, yes the other kid, seemed to forget he wasn't supposed to be looking. Because he was stepping up. "Why're you talking like that? It's ba-"

"Aw shuddup, you one eyed-reject. Go bug off!"

She had to grin, he seemed surprised. Which only lasted a moment, and the next thing she knew he'd had the audacity to give her a light swat upside the head. Which was bad enough, but then he was LECTURING her. Who did he think he was!? "You should behave better! You sound really evil and no one likes evil people. You're never going to have friends that way, an-"

"You talk to much, didn't I tell you to shut your damn mouth? God, you're as stupid as you are ugly."

She did not just call everyones favourite little wannabe hero ugly... Did she? Wait, yep she did... Bothe ars fell for a moment before a frown crossed his face, which resulted in a self satisfied smirk on her's. Until he crossed his arms. "You know what? Outward appearance doesn't matter. It's how you are that counts and you don't seem very nice. What do you think that makes people think of you?"

"If you don't like me, BUG OFF!"

"No, you should be nicer to people. You're just angry because you don't have any friends."

"God your prattling is annoying, didn't I say to shut up? Why aren't you gone yet? Do I need to show you to the door?"

Now these two where having a nice argument, so Raja had decided... So find something to stuff the girl into. She was around wandering aimlessly until she found... AHAH! STAFF! BANZAI! Rushing over to the gray haired woman she blurted out the first thing that came to mind. Which wouldn't look good for her either. "Where are the clothes that girls naked, and she really shouldn't be! My son might be traumatized cause of that, and.." Yes, the babble continued for about a minute. Before stopping. "...so where are the clothes?" And back to the point.

Now, if that wasn't bad enough... By the time Raja HAD gotten back with something to stuff Arianna in, and the staff member who apparently was named Arafel. Keanu was crouching beside a very pissed Arianna with her arms pinned behind her back.

"...and stop being bad?"

"Let me go you stupid ******** nicely and promise to be good if you want me to let go."

"I WILL NOT, YOU RETARDED PATCH EYED b*****d!"

"You know a lot of bad words... You know even Issale doesn't say them that much."

And this drone continued for a moment before Raja swiftly walked up to stare down at the three creatures. Ymir who had been let down by the little winged girl who certainly wouldn't pet him. Keanu who was determined to set this girl straight... And... A pissed off harpy that was still naked. This couldn't look good in front of the staff member... Oh dear. "Erm... Keanu why don't you let her up so I can put this on her?"

The boy responded, though he didn't let go of Arianna, he figured she'd bolt like a criminal in a TV show. He probly wasn't too far from the truth. So with that Raja pulled a loose plain dress over the girls head. Which she definitely resisted as much as she could, wailing like the thing was made of acid. This girl needed some serious help. Still they managed it, all the while in front of that poor staff member. What must this look like? A circus?

Well, now that she was dressed back to trying to get some progress toward the side of good. "See aren't clothes better?" The snow leopard persisted.

"GET IT OFF ME! THIS IS AGAINST SOME RULE I KNOW IT!" She was kicking now that she was somewhat free, trying to catch the current bane's of her existance with the rather sharp claws of her feet. "I HATE YOU ALL!"

"No, you don't. You're just saying that because you feel misunderstood and don't want to end up hurt."

"I'm saying it because I ******** HATE YOU! UNHAND ME, t**t!"

"Not until you ask nicely."

By now the argument was getting a bit boring most likely. Not that Raja was paying much mind. She'd recalled that there was a staff member watching,a nd glanced over her shoulder. "Ah hah... Erm sorry about all of this... I um... came to adopt a little girl... and..." She eye'd the harpy. She wasn't what she'd expected... But hey, she had Keanu away from the sword. And... She could do her cute little hair if she ever tied the kid to a chair. She liked the brilliant red color.

One hand lifted to point at Arianna. "She seems to get along with Keanu..." Yeah right. "Do you think perhaps I could adopt her? Certainly he might be able to help her with that... Interesting tongue of her's?" Did she realize the hand pointing was the one that had been bitten? Yes, it was still bleeding. Oh well... "I'm certain I can handle her." Meaning that Keanu could. Raja could just tie her up. She wasn't nearly as bad as Reikuri that freak in the basement right?

Well... Now all that was left was for the poor staff to decide if this uh... 'family' could handle the little demon girl, right?

((If you don't get it... Just understand that this object is from years ago. And this was kind of planned. >-> And if you're wondering why Raja isn't freaking out tooooo much... It's kind of happened before.))

Keanu was out camping, his eye was getting better... And things where quiet. Oh happy day. Tsuya had taken Arianna out for a stroll in the park, and Raja had the house to herself. Which meant a bit of flopping on the couch and a catnap. Or not...

Sadly as most things went when Raja was involved, they didn't go right. She paused as her foot sent something bright orange rolling along the floor. Both matching hued ears perked at the sight of the object and she knelt down plucking it up. "Orange flavored?" The words escaped her quietly. Ah, how she did love the orange jellybeans. It must have been left over from Easter. Though how such a thing had escaped Haruki, or even Tomonori(she'd managed to get him to do the cleaning now) for so long was beyond her. Still an almost silent purr escaped her momentarily before she popped the thing into her mouth. A few quick munches left her questioning just how stale the thing was though.

It tasted more like sandpaper than orange. Actually not sandpaper... But she knew the taste... A sudden dawning fear left her ears drooping.

No... Those where long gone... She'd gotten rid of them a long long time ago. Right?

She nodded crossing her hands over her chest. Well of course she had...

Or not.

It wasn't the most pleasant feeling she'd ever had when the familiar feeling of genetics being messed with began. Thankfully her creator worked fast if anything, and her arms which had once been crossed over a decent chest where over something rather flat now.

Her left eye twitched momentarily as what she'd just eaten occurred to her. One of those things she really should never have accidentally made. Much less brought home. What if Arianna had eaten it? Wait no... Arianna would just have stuffed it down one of the otherkids throat for annoying her. The case was it might not have acted well against their system, certainly it had just turned her's... She glanced down... Lifting up the ends of the labcoat she lways wore.

No his, something in his head corrected him. His body backwards. Certainly Raja had always been a genetic mess from off the deepend, but this definitely wouldn't bode well.

So the question was...

"How am I going to explain this to the kids..." He mumbled, running a hand through his hair.

Well aside from trying to keep his sanity, he needed to get something more suitable on. Because frankly the labcoat didn't cover as much when you're taller as a guy. Then a haircut. Definitely.

Hey, he might have liked having guys around him, but the fact was HE needed to be a good example for Keanu. Even if the world had just thrown him a nasty curveball(because he was dumb enough to eat a random thing off the floor in his house) he had duties to the kids. He'd just take the time while Keanu was gone to prepare for that return.

Thank god for the blessing that they weren't around when this happened. At least he didn't have too cruel a sense of humor. "But you're still evil..." He muttered, starting toward the hall that held his room. "I really should have checked to make sure they were all gone... I bet Ichigo was the one who kicked it out here..."

((Just a note from Raja regarding the finding of Shaeria's wand from GotP. Keanu was there durring it, and was involved in it, so just a brief thing to cover it. Yes, Raja is feeling more than a little stressed.))

It's a stick. She gave me a stick, and hyped it up. No one will be able to change that no matter how much they claim it's someting else. I've been handed kids on the street, and blackmailed into taking care of them before. This... Well this is something new. Giving me a rather fragile stick, one that I'll need to definitely keep an eye on. (I'm hoping Ichigo doesn't chew off one of those paper thin wings.) I'm pretty sure I need to keep it with me anyway, hopefully this doesn't get me too many odd comments when I go to work with the Ruins. Oi-vey...

Ok, so supposedly I was 'chosen' for this wand, that's what that lady... What's her name, Ianna, told me anyway. The thing is, did I ask to be chosen? I don't even know what's going to come out of this thing, well aside from the fact it's a baby girl(or so she says). Is it going to rip apart enough dresses to eat up one of my paychecks like Arianna, or just end up with hobbies like Keanu that leave the house in a wreck. And the other kids... Will they have things like dragons, or other habits that wreak as much havoc as Ymir? Then again... Ymir never knocked the door down...

Mind you I'm not going to mistreat the kid, no... No one deserves to be treated badly(certainly one horrid death is enough), but did I really want another? I definitely need to expand the house a bit though, more work I guess. I really hope I can find a hotel that won't mind dragons, or I'll just bunk with Naito. She owes me, and her kid Paxton already has a dragon, so it should be fine. Then again... I'll need to explain the accident with the 'jeallybean' to her won't I?

I guess I'm just left with the feeling of utter impending doom. Just what is this kid going to be like? What will it look like? And will it actually behave well enough that I won't need to fear for the household on a daily basis?

I guess only time can tell really, I'll just do what that lady said. But I swear, if this thing so much as HINTS that it's going to try and eat my soul(because there has to be a catch), or something freakish like that... I am giving it to Enzu, or Ymir as a chewtoy.

...

Wait, scratch that. Ichigo can have it. I don't want anything soul eating near Keanu, and those two fluffballs tend to hang around him. Though Enzu can't leave the house often yet...

Still, let's hope this little wand I've been given is as harmless as it looks. Despite being a stick, it's a very pretty stick. Someone spent a long time making it as nice as it is...

Hmm... but the biggest question... If this really is a kid, and it's a girl... will it really be a sex monger like that woman said? I don't think I want my child to try to sleep with half the boys as soon as she's old enough. What if she got pregnant and... why am I even worrying about this? It's bound ot be a trick. What nonesense. I'll be using this thing for fetch with my cat just as soon as it proves I was right. I just hope Keanu isn't too let down, I think he did want to see that headquarters place again, and he wanted another sister too...

"It's hooooottt....." The usually cheerful boy pleaded quietly letting his head flop against a random pillow he'd drug from the room he was staying in. Ah yes, he was staying with Naito and Paxton at the moment, which caused more than a few interesting things... But the real thing he had to worry about now was the blazing heat. Each day of summer was getting worse in his opinion.

"Yeeeeeesssssss." The dragon beside him akwardly tried to state. Ymir was finally managing ot pick up a bit of english, though normal speech still evaded him to most extents. Thus unless you listened the words would come off as jibberish to you. With a slight annoyed grunt the dragon moved from it's spot further from the brilliant light that streamed through the window. "Hot." He added.

"Paxton thinks it's perfect though... How can he?" The leopard asked quizically, noting that his friend was likely outside now frolicing in the heat. How he didn't die of hatstroke was beyond Keanu. If he went out in the direct light for more than a brief time he'd end up panting on the ground, if not worse. Raja had taken to the time to explain dehydration to him, along with why his mum was not a da a while back. Both were useful items.

The fact that because Paxton was a lovebird designed for the tropical climate and he was a snow leopard meant for freezing temperatures was what escape his comprehension. So a muted sigh followed the words along with crawling over toward where Ymir was plopped and trying to pull his hair off his neck. Both where rather long, and far to fluffy for his liking at the moment, items were damp with sweat. This only further proved the point Raja had attempted to make, but Keanu wasn't bothering to think about such things. His mind was on a solution.

How could he cool off better.

"Ymir, if it gets any hotter I think we'll die... I wish we could go in the basement back home. It's cool underground I read."

"Coooooolll..."

The boy sighed, eyeing the window. It was at that moment Ichigo decided to jump onto the windowsill outside and peer at him momentarily. Then she was off again, likely to eat some poor bird if she could catch it. Why was Ichigo just fine? The boy continued to watch the now empty sill for a moment more before an idea hit. Maybe not the brightest idea, but an idea none the less.

Ichigo had short hair, so if he cut his he'd be better?

Though the idea was soon countered. Cutting meant Scissors. He bit his lip momentarily before looking a a strand of damp hair that had fallen in his face. You know what... He really didn't care at this point. "Ymir, we need scissors." with that decision made it was time to hunt for the utensil without getting in the light. Keanu began to make his way through the rooms with the growing mixed breed of a dragon trailing after just as warily. They eventually did come upon the usually feared object and they where put to use in a rather sloppy manner.

Well there went a lot of time. He quickly chopped off his hair until the base of his neck and followed suit with the bangs, pulling them out until he could see well and snipping. Nothing was even, though it would be as soon as Raja found out. But that wasn't the point. Keanu had in his hand the hairtie which still held together that rather long mess of hair he'd had for so long. Though the shorter trimmings from his hands littered the floor. But despite that, he was happy. Keanu had never worried about appearances and the slight relief of some of the hair that was causing him this aggrivation was enough to bring a smile to his face. Thus the hair was gathered up and chucked in the nearest wastebasket then Keanu was back to the every fun adventure game he now played.

Where's the coolest spot in the house?

Well Raja hadn't been pleased.

What was done was done though, and Keanu's hair was shorter. Though a quick trip to the dreaded barber had fixed the mess up a bit. Theone good thing to come out of this was that Keanu had learned to put up with scissors. Which meant a lot less damages when someone pulled them out near the leopard.

Still it had made a few things easier. No more tying his hair back in the morning. Just a quick brush through and tings fell into place. It also meant no more siblings tugging on it. That was likely a good thing with the newest arrivals. A pair that seemed to like their brother a good bit.

"Nuuuuuuu~!" Was the only warning given before the usual weight attached itself to the boy's rather fluffy appendage. The new attachment had it's own rather bushy member, but it seemed to like the long spotted thing fr more.

Dalia peeked up curiously to see what reaction she'd gotten from the previously training brother curiously as a grunt came from the white figure who'd been dozing peacefully in the corner. Ymir had his own problems. A problem named Daren. The other side of these inseperable twins adored the larger creature at the moment and insisted that he was a jungle gym. Pale silver hued hair fell randomly as the boy tried to scale what was best called Ymir's face, his tail waving somewhat madly as he did.

The twins, racoon twins who didn't know when they'd gone too far.

Thankfully neither of thepair was one to lose their temper against something that small. The two couldn't even walk well yet, much less be a threat. The children were definitely nothing like Cody, he might have been smaller but he packed a punch. It'd be fun to meet that kid again when he was older.

"Upsy~!" Was the reply the young girl got as the tail quickly jerked upward managing to lift part of her upper body before she was snagged up by the leopard's hands. A squeal of delight broke from the girls mouth as she held out her arms giggling happily while kicking her legs a bit. Obviously it was a game they'd both set into playing on a daily basis.

Ymir hadn't bothered to move as one peachy skinned foot almost planted itself in his nostril. Another grunt escaped him and then it seemed it was over. The boy had planted himself on the dragon's head and was now having his own laughing fest as he beat his hands against the dragon in his triumphant dance. Of course the action came up as more of a light pat on Ymir's senses, and he simply closed his eyes again. It wasn't a stratch on the head, but it wasn't too bad. He'd cope.

They'd both just have to cope, seeing as no one else was outside to keep an eye on the toddlers. But such was life with the family. You just had to cope, and learn to be gentle when dealing with somethings.

"Owe me pet in time." The dragon mumbled as one fist hit the more sensative headfin by mistake. "Many scratch."
